Full disclosure, the last time I had a hearing test was back in Elementary School. Think giant headphones and the classic left-right pointing at sounds – one of those rare tests I could totally ace without any prep!Fast forward many, many years, and here I am at Marin Hearing Center. (Note: Keep your eyes peeled on your trusty mapping app because finding this place can be a bit of an adventure, but trust me, it’s worth it!)The journey started with a seamless and super friendly pre-visit call, complete with an online form that was a breeze to fill out. Unlike many places I’ve been to (and I’ve been to quite a few!), I was thrilled not to have to repeat the same old info.Walking into their stylishly decked-out office, I was greeted by the same warm and welcoming staff. Loving the vibe here, and spotting a bowl of mints only added to the charm.Dr. Rouse took me through a thorough and caring examination, far from the routine checks of the blue-haired school nurses from back in the day. His explanations were crystal clear, and I walked away learning way more than I would have from binge-watching YouTube videos.As the years go by, I’ve come to realize just how precious good hearing is and how to hang onto it for as long as nature allows. Big thanks to MHS for the top-notch care!

This was my first experience with audiology and it couldn’t have been better. Andy’s professional expertise and familiarity with the best devices for my particular issues is most impressive and reassuring. He was kind and patient giving me detailed explanations and clear instructions regarding my newly acquired hearing aids. He helped me to quickly replace the one I lost on the second day, fabricated custom ear buds for me and practiced their placement with me until I achieved a comfortable level of competence without making me feel like a complete klutz. He and Robin are outstanding in every way - making me feel welcome to call or come by the office to address any problem or question I had. I cannot say enough about what a totally positive experience I’ve had and recommend Marin Hearing Center without reservation.

Dr. Valla and Robin Casper went way out of their way to help with an emergency problem with an my hearing aid. They were willing and kind, and it’s a 100% professional place. Whole-hearted recommendation.

It was a real pleasure to meet Dr Valla for my audio evaluation for my hearing aids . He was very patient courteous and explained everything in detail to make sure It fit right and that I felt comfortable wearing them. He encouraged me not to hesitate to contact him any time with questions or concerns . I can not recommend him enough.

As a life-long patient of compromised hearing, which includes FIVE surgeries at nationally recognized top tier medical facilities, I can enthusiastically vote with 5 stars for Dr. Valla. My only complaint is that 5 isnt nearly enough!Throughout my adult life (I am now 71 with hearing loss since 22 years of age), I have worked with so many clinicians and surgeons in the field. I feel blessed to have found Dr. Valla. Not only is he brilliant, but he cares!He is extremely knowledgeable and truly goes the extra mile to provide the very best options possible. I completely trust Dr. Valla and his judgement. I dont know what I would do without him. Honestly!

Dr Valla gave us something that money cant buy in todays medical world. Generous time, thoughtful analysis, and most of all empathy for what it means psychologically to experience hearing loss in the aging process. My husband initially resistant like so many people and vaguely suspicious about the cost of hearing aids, Dr. Valla took the time to help him understand how hearing loss taxes the brain and increases aging. I found Marin Hearing Center via an online search and based on all the positive reviews decided to have my first hearing test in MANY years there. Im super impressed and would recommend this place to anyone -- in addition to testing my hearing, discussing most likely recent episodes of vertigo and onset of tinnitus, I got some great overall fitness tips from the doc who is also a triathlete! Very glad to have found Marin Hearing Center.

Having suffered from a severe hearing loss for many years, the only thing standing between me and the need for a cochlear implant is the great team at the Marin Hearing Center. Dr. Andrew Valla is a highly skilled audiologist with extensive experience in the nuances and complications of the major hearing aid systems. He is highly adept at fine tuning the instruments to obtain the optimal overall hearing improvement while carefully observing the sound quality and comfort level for the end user. Andrew is personable, generous and will work tirelessly toward a positive outcome. Dr. Kim Zeller Hoppin is equally skilled and caring and is purposefully up to date on the latest technological advances and clinical trials in the field. Both Andrew and Kim have close ties with Stanford and UCSF, should the situation warrant. Robin, the office manager, makes sure that the operation runs smoothly and efficiently. This is undoubtedly the best option for hearing assistance in Marin county.

Ive been totally deaf in my right ear since I was 4 years old. At 49 I finally decided to explore hearing aids. I was disappointed with the options/service at Kaiser. A friend suggested Marin Hearing Center and I was blown away. Andy was great. After a hearing test/consultation I decided to get a hearing aid with a cross. The prices and service are better than Kaiser. The results have been incredible. Im able to hear much better now and wished I had done this years ago. Well worth the time and money. Marin Hearing Center... Ya hear me? Now I do.

Over the past decade I have worked with four different audiologists in four different cities. Dr Valla, has surpassed our high expectations. He explains complex hearing issues clearly and concisely. He takes care to tailor our hearing devices to our individual needs. Dr. Andrew Valla is an immensely knowledgeable hearing specialist. I went to his office with a tinnitus problem and a significant decline in my hearing, especially in my right ear and in higher frequency sounds. Dr. Valla analyzed the problem with sophisticated computer-backed equipment and fitted me with devices that restored my hearing. It took several steps, however, and I was welcomed back at no additional cost to examine the issues and adjust the device programming until everything was right. My hearing aids are tuned for my needs and are completely invisible in my ear canals. Marin Hearing Center has been great for me.

I would give 6 stars if I could. The nicest people and Andy, my audiologist hung in through 3 pairs of hearing aids until we found what worked best for me. He could not have been kinder or more patient until I found aids that worked.Outstanding service and responsiveness.Highest recommendation

SUCH great things to say! I was so impressed. I never write reviews but I genuinely had an amazing experience here and had to write one. The doctor was genuinely interested and talked with me about everything, explained what all the graphs meant, and was overall so nice. Cant recommend enough! Also I didnt feel rushed through at all like at many other dr appts, it was so great he really took his time and did a thorough job. It was great.

I am a professional musician, so my hearing is very important to me. This place was great. They have high tech equipment that was able to test which frequencies my ear plugs were canceling and not canceling out. They also tested background noise, my ears ability to hear different types of speech and taught me about how a combination of antioxidants can help prevent hearing loss.I saw Joseph when I was there and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this place.

I am very happy with the treatment received and the hearing aid I purchased. It wasnt cheap... but really changed my life. If I knew before, I would have bought it a long time ago...I visited four different Hearing Centers, and I am very happy to have chosen Marin Hearing Center. The best.

Great service and quality! I got my first set of hearing aids elsewhere and had huge shells which they said was my only choice. Dr Valla found a small inner ear piece that works great and is better sound and comfort. Hurray! And Robin runs the office so smoothy. Never a wait..

My doctor is so knowledgeable that he was able to see me through some serious learning curves. I highly recommend the Marin Hearing center, they not only know how to help you but they also take the time to make sure you know also. Very friendly and warm scene, and perhaps the only doctors office in the world with coffee and chocolate truffles in the waiting room. Kim knows her stuff, and sympathizes with old musicians and their audio ghosts. A great combination of professionalism, compassion and just general niceness!

Let’s face it hearing aids are expensive- and when investing in them you want to feel comfortable with the audiologist that you choose - I can unequivocally say that dr Andrew Valla is superb in every way —/he spends a ton of time explaining in simple lay men’s terms what’s the aids can do for you .I would highly recommend him to anyone that asks me where I bought my hearing aids - his office staff is terrific and during these Covid times they are extremely careful with staggering appointments -use of masks hand sanitizers etc - I’ll be a fan for years to come -/ so happy to have found him
