Ive had an amazing experience at Margie Haber Studios! The staff and teachers have been amazing to work with. They create such a safe space for you to practice your craft and try new things. In Dianes Advanced class, she taught me so many techniques that have helped me start nailing auditions and booking roles! Her class gave me so much more confidence and freedom to start making bold choices with my work. She is an amazing coach! Ive also had Iman for intermediate and he helped me tap into my vulnerability and truly understand the Meisner technique. The studio is also great for recording auditions; Zoe was a fantastic reader! I would highly recommend this acting studio.

I recently completed the 2 week ISP training and had one of the most transformative experiences of my acting career here.I can easily say this was by far the best money I’ve ever invested into my career. I get many questions from my peers about how it was at Margie’s and I can’t recommend it enough. That’s the short version, go sign up now!Now, the deets for the review sleuths:To begin with, the structure of the 2-week program was extremely thoughtful and comprehensive. The program jumps right in and there’s not a single day wasted, so it’s a positive guarantee that you’ll walk out with a plethora of knowledge and tools to apply to the craft. There’s something to take away from each and every instructor, meetings with working actors, a casting director, a manager, a Groundlings show and an additional improv day, my only advice in those regards is to be prepared to learn a lot and make sure your community knows you’ll be disappearing for a while lol.It’s hard to limit the review to the well-orchestrated logistics because there really is so much personal growth that occurs as well when working on this art form, and that’s the priceless component to the training here.For me, the biggest takeaways included my ability to not just “love” the craft but to also learn how have FUN with it. Only a couple of years ago did I decide to finally give my inner child a chance to pursue her dreams. What I didn’t realize was that the constant adulting and management of responsibilities had sent the “playful child” inside of me into a deep slumber and to have that part of me reawakened here felt beautiful. I felt freed, re-energized, exhilarated to keep experiencing life while embracing my whole self. I took the class during a tough transition in my life and it was cathartic.I had a blast and everyone applies Margie’s philosophy here, ultimately creating one of the safest and most supportive spaces I have ever seen to embrace your individuality in totality and grow alongside others.Other much appreciated details:- the freedom to not have to sit upright in a chair, to use the bathroom whenever, or and have snacks as needed. FREEDOM!!!- the well-maintained facility- there was a constant supply of water, coffee and a pleasant tea selection to choose from- restrooms had air fresheners and feminine hygiene supplies which is very thoughtfulI have high respect for Margie not only for the fresh approach she is revolutionizing the craft with, but also for her authenticity. I can’t imagine the vision she had when she started this but she’s evolved it into something incredibly valuable and makes the continued effort towards further improvements. In general, she’s an ageless inspiration as a human being.I would start listing off my fave instructors here but then it’s just gonna get tooooo long, and they know who they are - or else I’ll be back to make sure they know it. But I’d like to additionally thank Hamish and Sarah. While our interactions were brief, the warmth from each of them was unforgettable.I look forward to being back here not just for the learning but because I trust the people I’ve met here, I love everyone’s transparency, quirks and kindness. It’s a great place to be and definitely a blessing if you’re able to participate with this crowd 🙏🏽I included a pic of my group - we all enjoyed each other so much we organized another dinner for farewells. That was lucky ✨

Wonderful experience at Margie Haber Studios! I’ve wanted to take acting classes all my life, but other people’s opinions led me to pursue law instead for several years. Margie Haber Studios was the perfect place to start my little life rebellion and get back to my core self. I started in the Foundations Intensive class with Lisa and continued my journey in the Foundations Ongoing class with Jack. Both Lisa Carswell and Jack Perry were so kind, nurturing, and fun. They gave insightful feedback while creating a safe space for me as a total beginner to play and get in touch with my creativity. It meant a lot to me to have a safe space and nurturing guides to become a playful child again, especially at the beginning of my acting journey when I was scared and awkward AF.When I moved up to Intermediate Intensive with Will Gressman, I felt the curriculum get much more challenging—with greater emphasis on scene analysis and creating the life of a character. Will pushes his students hard, but always with a lot of care, empathy, and grace. I was impressed by his passion for the craft and enjoyed how he brought a higher level of intellectual rigor and insight to the classroom. He’s incredibly smart and gives honest and balanced feedback. It’s been a joy to see my classmates and I grow each week. Highly recommend Will.

I came to this class hoping to establish confidence on camera when I self tape. That’s exactly what I got and more. Tania isn’t like any other acting coach I have had before. She takes the time to work with every student in class. She notices where we have bad habits and calls us out. We can learn how to fix them and continue to grow. She truly cares about her students and their growth. She works brain muscles no other coach has accessed for me. Truly one of the best classes and I look forward to continuing.

Ive been working with Will Gressman for over a year at Margie Haber Acting Studio and he is an amazing Acting Coach! Will is incredibly knowledgeable about the industry and intuitive as a teacher and coach--Im impressed and humbled by the quality and diversity of talent in his classes. Ive worked with Diane Charles and Jim Nieb who are also fantastic. Each coach has a different style and approach and its been beneficial as an actor to receive feedback from them all. I also love their self-tape studio--I can book slots for those last minute auditions or quick turn-arounds to produce high-quality self-tapes at a discounted student rate. They have real, highly skilled actors to read with you, which is super helpful. Overall, Margie Haber Studios is the best, especially if you want to progress quickly and be prepared for professional acting jobs. Highly recommend.

If you’re an actor working to elevate your skills to the next level, do yourself a favor and take Will Gressman’s class. Will has a talent for teaching (and acting) that is unparalleled. In his intermediate class, he took the time and had the patience to work with me to not only learn the material, but really unpack elements of my personality that I can use to lean into my roles in a real and authentic way. Opening up and showing vulnerability has always been a challenge for me as an actor, but Will helped me to dive deep into my life experiences to pull out raw emotion and throw everything I had into the moment. He truly is the best teacher ever.

I have been taking classes nonstop at MH since December 2023. All of my studying thus far has been under Iman Nazemzadeh, who is such a remarkable instructor. During class, Iman has a beautiful way of meeting the actor where they are and guiding them to their best work. I’ve witnessed him do it for myself and others for months now. The lessons that I’ve learned from Iman have changed the way that I show up in my work as an actor AND how I show up in everyday life. Insightful, gentle, just a great-great guy! Thank you Iman and thank you MHS for your guidance and training! It has impacted my life!

I love the Margie Haber Studio with all my heart. This has been a beautiful environment for me to create and grow in. I have had the pleasure of creating in Lisa’s class which was a comfortable creative space for my first 8 months at this studio. I also took the Improv class with Drew which really helped me release my inner child. He is amazing! And now I have the pleasure of challenging myself with Iman and continuing my growth as an Actor. But I must add to this over all experience, I have enjoyed when Saydee has subbed my classes. Saydee sets up a free playground of expression and fun. The both times she has subbed for my classes, I truly felt multiple walls break down in the presence of her uplifting teaching dynamic! She is a joy! I wish she wasnt the teens instructor because I would love to work with her more. Hopefully in the future I will create with her again. Im so thankful I found this studio when I did. 10/10 recommend!

Tania Nolan has been an incredibly powerful and effective instructor. I have been learning with her for a year in her Online Ongoing Class as well as having done her Online Intensive, which have both prepared me tremendously for being able to live truthfully through Zoom and self tape, which is where the industry is now. My growth as an actor has been profound and I could not ask anything more from someone who is as dedicated and passionate in her students and watching them grow as Tania.

Tania Nolan is an amazing teacher that truly cares about her students. I had the pleasure of taking the intensive program and some ongoing classes with her and it has made all the difference in how I approach auditions and acting in general. Whether you are just getting into acting or looking to hone your skills, you will learn a lot from Tania’s class.
