We have now acquired 6 pieces of art from Lisa Taggart and have always been treated like royalty even with our modest budget. Tiffany is the master of finding the perfect frame for your chosen works. The pieces arrive packed like they could take a direct hit from a nuke. Love this gallery! We even face timed with one of the artists we were considering. So cool!!!

We met a wonderful woman named Brenda who is a sales person in this gallery. I highly recommend her and the gallery. Brenda brought the art and the artists to life. It was one of my most treasured moments. I paint, certainly not on the caliber to be in a gallery but I know how to appreciate how much effort goes into the art. So many thank yous to this wonderful gallery and to Brenda.

Definitively the best gallery if you want Seuss art — anywhere in the country! Whether you’re looking for new releases or pieces that have been unavailable for years... Marcus Ashley gets them!! And not just SEUSS...many other artists to boot too! Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff, roomy environment and great location.We have dealt with Robert for years and he is top-notch! Mary was extremely informative about the artists. She was great with the kids and even gave us the book Horton Hears a Who.She was kind and answered every question the kids had and us adults as well. The gallery itself was well lit and clean. Sculptures and artwork were free of dust. The Dr. Suess portion was AMAZING! My kids ages are, 21, 13, 11, 8, 7, 6 and she kept them intrigued the whole time.

We visited this gallery on a trip to Tahoe, clearly not in the disposition to buy artwork. But the staff was SO friendly and SO willing to answer all of our questions about the different artists, their techniques, and details about the pieces that we would have missed. My kids felt inspired and enriched, thanks to the care and time from these wonderful people!!

Very good venue when I went that included several famous artist pieces for sale. Snacks and drinks were provided and many very unique incredible pieces, some of which are originals. Highly recommend at least checking out their lineups at least once. They do change week to week however.

The staff here are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It wasnt like touring a normal gallery, it was like hanging out and shopping with old friends. The selection of artwork was broad and beautiful. We will make a trip to Tahoe just to pick out some works and visit again

My daughter and I stumbled upon this gallery after skiing and the whole experience became one of the highlights of our trip. Boyde was phenomenal in guiding us thru the gallery with his extensive and entertaining knowledge of each of the artist’s works. We were blown away with the stories behind “Dr Seuss” and really connected with a couple of his pieces. Now my daughter and I will have something to remember as such a surreal moment of our trip.

The curators were attentive without being overly at our side. We were given cool information throughout our look in the gallery. This was my first visit after coming to Tahoe for years. It will definitely not be my last. Wonderful staff and AMAZING art!

My experience has been very poor with this gallery. We always fly into the Lake Tahoe area a couple times a year and we always go to this gallery because we like the selection of art offered. They will tell you anything to sell you. And once you expect to get what you were told, then they weasel out of it. In my case the salesman mysteriously is no longer there and the gallery will not conduct good business and honor what was promised.

I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about this location. I was there about thirty minutes before they opened just peering through the windows. We were noticed and they opened early for us. Everyone was so polite and all smiles. In addition to that we were informed on each painter and their mediums and history. She was incredibly well informed and made me want to get into the Art collecting world. It was an awesome experience.As a bonus they have an awesome Dr Seuss collection that you have to see. It was an all around wonderful experience and a place that showcased amazing works of Art. I highly recommend visiting if you are close.

Ive been to a number of galleries around the US, and this gem is definitely one of my favorites as of today. All of the art on display was incredible, better than many of the renowned fancy-pants ones Ive been to. The staff was also very friendly, and happy to share the stories of any piece we looked at. I never would have guessed from outside of the storefront what they had inside. 10/10 would recommend.

We stumbled onto this little gem of a gallery by accident. How is it that more people dont know about this place?! Anthony, whom we now refer to as our guy, was incredibly patient with us. We changed our (collective) mind about 100 times as we deliberated which pieces we needed for our new collection of Dr. Seuss art. He was delightfully smart, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We couldnt be more pleased with the experience, and we already want to come back for another visit. Five stars on the belly!!

I had a wonderful experience. Boyd was amazing!! He was extremely patient with me and I never felt rushed or pressured to make a purchase. We hadn’t been there five minutes and actually landed on a piece that I’d entertain buying before being ushered into a different room, with a piece I wasn’t interested in to be told the vast history about (which was interesting and well executed) and then pressured/expected to purchase. Honestly if I had been given the opportunity to walk the whole gallery I very likely would have bought a sculpture I was eyeballing in the back, but I never got to see it as I wanted to leave immediately after that awkward exchange. Let your potential clients pick out what they want to spend thousands of dollars on. I think there is some cool stuff there… but I won’t be going back.

The art selection here is absolutely magnificent and their Dr. Seuss collection is like no other! My fiancé and I ended up buying two paintings we fell in love with. Lisa and Ben were very kind, helpful, and informative, as well as all the other employees. They definitely enhanced the entire experience, making it unforgettable. Whether you plan to make a purchase or not, this is a gem in Tahoe you wont want to miss!

Incredible gallery with an outstanding and knowledgeable staff. They carry a diverse inventory from different artists, all of which are clearly very talented.They actually carry art, not photos printed on metal like the other galleries in the area. If youre in the area this is the one gallery you need to visit.We were lucky enough to be invited back to attend an event where one of the artists they showcase was there.Best part is its a low pressure sales style. They dont tell you how you should feel about a piece. I cant tell you how many times weve fallen in love with pieces at other galleries and decided not to buy since the piece had sadly become associated with the annoying associate... You wont feel that pressure here.

Very impressive Dr Seuss statues and artwork. Loved the Jack Storms glass sculptures, they were amazing and had the Honor of meeting the artist. They also have a lot of other amazing artwork. Worthwhile stopping in the gallery.

We love this gallery! We visit every time when in Tahoe. We enjoy even more when able to work with Boyd. He is knows all of the art and pricing we ask about, enjoys sharing his knowledge. Hes alot of fun to converse with and is not at all pushy to work with.

My family visits this gallery every time we are in Tahoe. We arent in the financial position to purchase expensive art, but we have always been treated with great regard and been shown around and given art appreciation experiences through the gifted and friendly Art Representatives there. My kids are aspiring artists and the staff at Marcus Ashley have always made them feel special and encouraged them by giving them their undivided attention each time we visit. Beautiful art.Eliot spent over 30 minutes introducing us to the art and giving us biographies of the artists. He had clever anecdotes about the pieces and their creators.Me wife and I were in awe of Eric Christensens work and are planning on going back in August to see him.Even if you are not a collector, I highly recommend stopping by, the staff are charming and the art is beautiful.

I am not of the financial bracket to buy real art pieces, nor do I have the educational understanding of art. here it did not matter. the collection was phenomenal, the gentleman that greeted us walked along giving us bits and pieces about the artist and the pieces. he let us come to our understanding then pointed out many things we may have not noticed. it eas an awesome experience. we were fully able to explore for ourselves and anytime we needed or wanted information, our friend, I wish I remembered his name, was right there to offer us any guidance we needed, and a lot if history too. love this place. i am now into art and hope to find other galleries this inviting.

If you want to support racism, this is your place. I got a first hand lecture on how blackface isnt racist. I was told, by one of their employees, that I was, living in a different paradigm if I think that blackface is racist. Contacting management wont help much either, I was met with an email apology from their operations director Tiffany Rice saying, Racism has never come up before. Do you have a specific wine piece youre interested in? Id love to help you. I refuse to do business with companies that allow their employees to give these types of insults, and racist opinions. The operations manager cared more about getting me back to buy the piece I went to the gallery to purchase originally, than she did about her racist employee who made it clear that blackface was/is socially acceptable, and has no racist overtones whatsoever. Im, living in a different paradigm if I believe that. Horrible experience. I really regret buying my daughter a piece in 2014 on our vacation to Lake Tahoe. Weve been staying in south Lake Tahoe since 2002, Ill be shopping at another gallery, as I did before I left this year.
