Let me start off by saying WOW!!! This place has amazing Customer service and the Food is on a different level . 10 Starz is what this place deserves everything was fresh from the Garlic Bread to the food. Every bite was tasteful. We will definitely return to this restaurant. We drive all the way from Sacramento to eat here and it was worth every mile . We will be back to try more of the menu . If you’re in the area and want a taste of Italy look no further.

Our first time dining at Marcellos. We were welcomed warmly, and seated promptly. White table cloth dining room, low lighting and very good service. They is a small room for private parties.The three of us ordered, salmon, spinach Ravioli,,and I ordered the trio plate of Lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and Chicken Parmigiano. And a dinner salad, that was very good. Warm garlic bread served before the meal with olive oil and vinegar. 🥖🧄The food was very good, hot and presented nicely. I was in Yuba city for 3 weeks working and ate at Marcello’s maybe 10x or more. The food is absolutely astonishing, and the staff makes you feel like you are eating right at home. I look forward to being back in Yuba to eat here again!

Have been driving by Marcellos for years. So glad I decided to stop in for an amazing dinner. Lobster ravioli, lasagna, seafood fettuccine, dinner rolls, drinks, all amazing. Our server was very attentive and sweet to my kiddos too. Will be back, thanks! Cant wait to try the lunch buffet too!

We love Marcello’s! We had a reservation on Valentine’s Day for dinner and they seated us on time. The server was very proficient and courteous and took our drink order right away. Our dinner was delicious as always! Always a great experience- they NEVER disappoint❤️

I honestly didn’t want to leave a negative review, but the positive ratings the restaurant receives baffle me, so, here goes.The wait service and staff were wonderful and courteous. The atmosphere was dimly lit and pleasant, almost fancy. But the food, my God the food. The chicken parmigiana had no Parmesan. (Some will try to argue that the name of the recipe has more to do with the origin than the ingredients, and while that may be true, any good chicken parm has Parmesan in the bread crumb.)The Alfredo was flavorless; a store-bought Alfredo would have been better. There was no acidity, not salt, no tanginess. Nothing at all that resembled flavor. The lasagna was the least offensive item I tried and it was more of the same, the red sauce lacked any depth or seasoning.Italian food is one of the easiest foods to make taste amazing, it’s almost cheating how easy it is. Still this restaurant just doesn’t seem to try or care. I’d give anything to see how their Alfredo or chicken parm is actually made. I’m sure it would be interesting.

Been here several times. I cant say enough great things about this place! When you are there, you feel like you are in a little town in Italy. The owner takes pride in his restaurant. Love the atmosphere. The service is top-notch. They wont serve the food if it is not up to par. Everything tastes so fresh and so delicious. Pastas, sauces, seafood, chicken, salads and their bread omg...so warm, soft and fluffy inside and a perfect crisp outside, the taste is devine. Great wine selection, as well! Great for a party (went for my birthday), really nice to go on a date with that special someone or Great place to take the family for a nice dinner. We are so lucky to have such an expectional restaurant in Yuba City.

Marcello’s is the best Italian restaurant in town. Their alfredo sauce is delicious, and everything is made in-house! I usually order the chicken fettuccini alfredo or a dish that includes alfredo sauce over fettuccini on the side. Their salads are always fresh and crisp.My husband enjoys the lasagna, the beef ravioli, the chicken Parmesan, and a variety of other dishes. Save room for the tiramisu!They have a reasonably priced kids menu with good choices. Our daughter loves the pizza. Their service is always wonderful, as well. Most importantly for me, they never overcook the pasta!

I always had great experience eating at Marcelo’s but the last two time has definitely been sub par. Both order were to go first time they got our orders wrong. This time it looks like I only got the top half of my lasagna. I’m not sure what has changed here but I’m pretty sure I’m not going back.

My family and I went here last night. The prices were about the same as Olive Garden but it was much nicer. Nice decor and linen napkins. Very cozy. Great service. The food was delicious. I love supporting local businesses and we will definitely return.

My mother and I just had our first of many visits. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer which were delicious and followed it up with the herb grilled salmon. The food was perfect as was the service! And to top it off the tiramisu was a slice of heaven! We will definitely be back!

The restaurant is so nice looking and the hostess was very sweet to take our photo, as we were celebrating my birthday and my family all dressed up. The server took a long time to get to our table and really didnt leave a lasting impression at all. She never told us her name. She was in and out so quickly that it wasnt warm or welcoming.. so sad because the last time we went to this restaurant it was so different. The portion sizes are so much smaller than our previous visit too. Instead of the previous 8 ravioli, we got 5. Instead of a beautiful caprese salad that boasted fullness, it felt like half the amount. Super disappointed... probably wont be back

Came in for nice night out with wife and had a great time. Food was great and so were the drinks! Staff was very attentive and polite. Then at then end of our meal the chef came out and asked how our meal was told him had a great experience and then he held door open for me and my wife. Staff was very friendly. Our server was very attentive. I had the Ribeye and fries. My wife had the Shrimp Alfredo. We split our dinners with each other. Food was excellent. Salad was also good but was a upgrade, would have been happier if it was included with dinner but worth the extra $5. The free bread was also excellent kinda made up for cost of the salad. All in all we were very satisfied and would strongly recommend you try Marcellos.

This was our first time at this restaurant, and we chose to go for our anniversary. The service was AMAZING!! Aja Is hands down the best server we have ever had!! The bartender certainly knows his way around his drinks and the chef even came out personally to ask how our meal was. We came from chico and will gladly do so again and again. The mussels were delicious and my picatta was so yummy!! If I could rate more than 5 stars I would.

The food was lacking.MY seafood Amare was bland, food was definitely frozen I had a bad clam that wouldnt open.Sauce was the same as the Lasagna and Chicken Parm sauce. ALFREDO sauce was very bland as well. The Lasagna was just ok. The Chic Parmwas not to bad but dry. I really was hoping for great food but left disappointed! Being new to this area I was pleased to find tasty Italian dining. Food is always great and ambience is nice. Restaurant is clean, I just gave one less star due to the 45 minute wait to be seated on Valentines day even with reservation. The menu prices were also steeper with no change in amount of food or any other changes.

I am sitting here on table 12 & I just got my bill corrected. First bill the waiter/server Verulo charge $84 because apparently they “ACCIDENTALLY” double charge my shrimp alfredo, & wine when I didn’t order that. My wife & I wanted to try this place because were new here. Unfortunately, this mistake would’ve cost us $34 more than what we’re supposed to be charged with. Our bill was corrected after I noticed the error. From $84 to $52.55. This error has given me some doubts whether I should come here again or not. Food is always excellent! The chef certainly takes pride in his dishes. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner or his beautiful wife often greets you at some point in your meal to see if everything is going well. I can appreciate that, and if you need your drink refilled they will easily fill it. My husband is AD at Beale Afb and I am a proud veteran, we absolutely love this place, which is of rare quality for the area.

Absolutely horrible. Waited an hour and a half for an appetizer. We had to ask for silverware. We were the first ones here and were helped 3rd. Hour and a half wait for a cup of soup. 20 mins for a refill drink. When the entrées finally came I got the farfalle (bowtie) with pesto and grilled chicken. The chicken was tasteless and tendion in every bite. The pasta was waaay over cooked and mushy. My husband got the lobster ravioli. It came with 4 ravioli. Thats it. His pesto was the same as mine and very bland and he also got Alfredo which he said just tasted like unseasoned cream. And we waited a total of two and a half hours for this. I had ordered an order to go when we first got there and when we left they handed it to us tied up knotted in a bag, got home and it was wrong... i literally took two bites of mine and left it. And the server who was almost absent the entire time was offended when I said i didnt want a box for it. No one tried fixing anything at all. And this was during mine and my husbands anniversary. First time going here and it will be the last.

Excellent place to take a date or a night out with the family. They have an outstanding menu with traditional Italian favorites. This place is classy without being stuffy. The prices are what I consider to be low considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. There is no other Italian place in town that can hold a candle to Marcellos. And its a locally owned and operated restaurant. Not a cookie cutter chain restaurant. I highly recommend Marcellos for All Occasions. I couldnt post a review without mentioning the oven fresh bread they make. Outstanding!!! If I didnt know there was an excellent meal coming I could easily fill up on there freshly baked bread.

They need to fire their waitress Pauline. I’ll explain.. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo. She tried to serve me the seafood Alfredo. She sent the incorrect dish back and then I had to wait for the correct one. We get the bill and she charged us for the seafood Alfredo ($19.99) when it was her mistake and I ordered the shrimp Alfredo ($16.99). We decided to not even bother trying to have her fix the bill. After everything, total bill was $65.17. After we had signed the bill and left, SHE FRAUDULENTLY INCREASED HER TIP BY $10!!! We saw it post to our bank next day for $75.17. Completely illegal and unacceptable behavior to have one of their waitresses try and rob their patrons. She better be fired. **EDIT AFTER OWNER RESPONSE** She did NOT accidentally enter it wrong into the computer. She purposefully wrote on our receipt after we had signed it to up her tip.

I had always thought of Marcellos as an Italian restaurant, but they offer a wide variety of all different types of food and all their food is fantastic. We had the tri tip ( it was cooked perfectly -very tender)and Baby back ribs ( delicious)from their online catering menu . We are still hearing from our guests telling us how much they enjoyed all the food, even the veggies, potatoes, salad and bread were delicious and fresh . Octavio was so easy and personable to work with and I felt confident I had made the right choice for my catering needs from my first phone interaction with him. He returns calls very quickly and he takes pride in his business. It shows in every aspect, from how he was dressed to how the food was displayed . He conducts his business with excellence, hard to find these days. He really cares about your event. You will not be disappointed.

First, the service here is superb. The wait staff is courteous, friendly and very speedy. Drink glasses are never empty and the food is delivered incredibly fast. The food is okay. Their lasagna was a bit more chunky than we personally appreciate, and their seafood dishes was not as spicy as I would have preferred. We went here for the first time tonight. It was a mix of well dressed and casual diners. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our food was very good. We had a wonderful dinner! I had called ahead and make a reservation for Fathers day, which also was my wifes 50th birthday and I wanted to surprise her. All of the staff were so helpful and made it so nice. We had a party of 20 our service was excellent our water glasses were never empty our food was delicious and all came quickly and all out at the same time. We had brought our own cake they gave us plates and serving utensils with no extra charge. Also they dont automatically take out a gratuity they leave that up to you. We had Marcellos cater our wedding and it was amazing! We hired pretty last minute (about a month out) and we also live pretty far from Yuba City so we weren’t even able to do a tasting before booking. We chose dinner Menu #1 and booked for 50 people. Even though we weren’t able to taste the food in advance, the owner, Octavio, allowed us to do a tasting the night before our wedding. Not only was this a perfect date night in all the chaos, Octavio came out and introduced himself then sat and chatted with us until after the restaurant closed. The staff was extremely friendly and I noticed they all seem to work together rather than ‘sections’. The food was absolutely delicious too, totally blown away! Octavio is an honest and kind man and I thoroughly enjoyed picking his brain. On the wedding day, he showed up early and had everything ready and set up about 15 minutes before it was time to eat. My guests absolutely loved the food and before leaving, he even boxed up all the leftovers for my guests to take home.If you’re looking for an affordable, delicious caterer, or just an amazing date night, Marcellos is the way to go! Make sure to get a cannoli though!

Heads up everyone inflation is showing its ugly head in restaurants and the supermarkets. I just noticed a dish I usually order has gone up a $1.40 in price. And the dish I order is very simple with not too many ingredients. I can understand maybe $.50 to $1.00 increase but the $1.40 to me is a bit steep. I understand we just got over a pandemic but this restaurant has opened back up for dine in and every time I pass by this establishment its parking lot is full. So, now we have gas, groceries and restaurants to fight off the inflated prices.Edit: Well, I would like to thank the owner of Marcellos for not actually raising the price of the dish I wrote about here. When I looked online the price had gone up, but when I actually ordered the dish it was back to the original price.Edit:Well, they raised the price of the dish I always get at this restaurant. Superb service and beautiful restaurant but my salmon was dry and not worth the money. Soup was over priced and I was very disappointed. Paid $5 for a big hunk of potato with a spoonful of broth. Hubby liked his chicken parmigiana. Italian soda was good but don’t think I’ll be back. I was expecting the food to be delicious and I was disappointed on Valentine’s Day. Salmon and noodles were bland also.

Eaten here before and the food is good but unfortunately this time we arrived on a night when they were under staffed and ended up waiting around for 40 mins after we were told it would be a 20-25min wait. Watched plenty of people leave but they just didnt have the staff to keep up with the two big parties that were there. Sorry you all were so short staffed that night I am sure it was stressful. Love this place. We live in Reno, when we visit Marysville for concerts we Always eat here. The Food is awesome, the atmosphere, the servers, perfect. The owner and her stepson are running everything very smoothly. Honestly, they work as hard, if not harder, then the rest of the staff. Service was great. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the foods, ingredients, bar drinks and wine coupling. The owner came by during the meal to ask how everything was going. The food was delicious, as the owner designed the menu himself after 32 years in the restaurant business. It had a very mom and pop feel to it, and aside from the numerous elderly couples giving sideways glances at the boisterous company I had it was a very good experience all around. Will definitely be a return customer if I end up in Yuba City again. Go for the veal and be sure to let the bartender surprise you with a concoction!

Weve been here twice now and not only is the food very good, but the service has been done of best weve experienced, and my family has been to restaurants all over the country. One of the owners even read in her hands and knees trying to help other customers find their keys. Absolutely have to try this place is you love Italian food. The only minor issue at all both times was the chicken was a little dry, but with the sauce it was quite minor.

Went in with my wife for our anniversary, we were sat promptly, but never saw a server. We sat there for over 10 minutes, without being greeted, before we just left. They didn’t look busy, but even if they were, that’s pretty terrible service. They were also helping people all around us, and setting up a salad bar. It was clear we were not a priority.

This place seems to be trendy and I hadnt been in ages. Looks like they remodeled at some point. Food was good then, food is good now. But what amazed me was I was dressed filthy and covered in paint, most people there are dressed nice. Ive been to Marcellos several times before and everything was wonderful. However, tonight I was very disappointed. We had the buffet - and maybe that was our mistake. The three pasta dishes offered, were barely warm and rather chewy, almost like it was prepared a day or two in advance and reheated for tonight. I did have the tri-tip from the buffet and it was good, although again, not as warm as it should have been. It was definitely not worth the money we paid and it will be awhile before I can convince my family to try it again - but just not the buffet.

We got great service. My order was to go due to my wife being sick but when I got there the server that took my order greeted me and my daughter made sure our order was correct and made sure we were comfortable. Cost for my wife and I to have a couple entrees and a few drinks usually runs around $75. The atmosphere and ambiance are so good we usually stay for a couple hours even though it does not take nearly so long to get served. Ive had one less than perfect experience here and one somewhat unpleasant experience.The first time I ate here was with my family. They didnt list eggs as an ingredient for their lasagna, unfortunately to my mother...But they made up for it, but taking it off her bill and giving her a complimentary stake...Yay!!!The second time I had my birthday dinner with my large extended family of my aunts and cousins. One of the waiters or waitresses dropped the half sheet birthday cake we bought on one of my cousins. Yeah...she wasnt happy.The servers bought me the only two round cakes they could find at the grocery store next door, and discounted on our bill.Youd think after that incident, Id never wanna go back. My family and I came into Yuba City from Redding to do some business. We wanted to try something new and this place was recommended. We called in our order and over the phone the hostess was very nice. I get to the restaurant to pick up our thin crust meat and veggie pizza. (not to soft not to hard). The hostess we talked to on the phone was again very nice. I even think the owner or manager came to the front and greeted me. Great Service. The pizza looked amazing. Get back to the hotel and tried it out. It was.... ok. Nothing to write home about. The thin crust was just how we like it but the ingredients were just like buying from a $10 pizza shack. We may try this place next time around but I would recommend eating there. The parking lot was full! And I even asked some customers leaving how it was. They said great!

The food was delicious and came to us piping hot, the salad and bread were delicious as well, and so was my Chianti. Ultimately, the star of my experience was the entree - the Classic Tour of Italy, which consisted of lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and fettuccine Alfredo. The Alfredo sauce couldve had a bit more flavor but adding salt and pepper worked just fine. I will most definitely be back! Marcellos is a not-so-hidden gem in Yuba City. A friend of mine recommended it and last night I finally got to try it! Its owned by the chef and has a beautiful interior, very spacious and quite romantic if youre looking for that, but absolutely family friendly. I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo which was so delicious I had to pause several times to relish the flavors. The appetizer bread is AMAZING and due to covid, presumably, they give you their balsamic vinegar/oil in personal little cups. It was all delicious and I plan to go back to try their eggplant parmesan!

I am giving this place two stars, but understand those two stars are only for the nice service that we received. The server was very friendly and kind. However, the food was awful. I mean, genuinely... terribly... awful. We ordered chicken parmesan and it was burned! Overcooked, dry and literally black under the sauce. We also ordered the seafood alfredo and to my absolute horror, they cooked it with the shells inside. The clam shells are white, so you can imagine what a nightmare it was to pick them out of the white cream sauce... but the worst was the muscles. The shells had not been cleaned prior to cooking and were still covered with seaweed and grit. It was like eating creamy dirt. Bland, overcooked seafood, overcooked noodles. The bread was rock hard and burned as well. The only thing that was remotely edible was the mozzarella sticks and they are just the frozen kind you can buy at any store. This place was horribly expensive too. For four people, we spent over 150$. I do not recommend and can honestly say if you are looking to spend that kind of money on Italian food then hit up Olive Garden. At least their food is edible.

Its definitely one of those restaurants that could be for special occasions, also good to bring children and family here and its a good environment. Ive been dining here, not regularly, but off and on for the past four years. Ive had both lunch and dinner and everything Ive ordered has been delicious. They have a very tasty house Italian dressing with several selections of salads, a couple of different soups including minestroni, and every meal comes with fresh-made bread. So far, Ive had the lamb, steak, eggplant parmigian, lasagna, spaghetti, and both the blackened salmon and garlic and herb salmon, just to name a few. All have been exquisite. What a disappointment; we returned on Valentines Day because our previous dinner here was nice. We made a reservation only to have to wait once we got there. Once seated next to a drafty door, we found out the ordinary menu was gone; replaced by a limited menu with jacked up prices. Refused to serve us on the old menu. To top it off we received two bills that were both incorrect overcharigng us on the first one and the second one had completely wrong entrees listed on it and still overcharged us. Ive been to Marcellos twice: once with a date for dinner, and once by myself for the lunch buffet. I dont give out 5 stars often so this place is good!Atmosphere: Marcellos is small and quiet place, just the way i like it! No screaming little kids, and no large gatherings of people! She also somehow knew that we wanted desert to go without us telling her... strange mind reading or good service? I dont care because it worked out well!Food: Marcellos does Italian food right. The lunch buffet is a steal at $10.95/person (i think). The buffet is very small, however everything on the buffet is fresh and taste great! For the dinner visit, we both ate good food and had stuff to take home, although i forgot what i ordered :(Value and general observations: Marcellos is low key, comfortable, professional and affordable. As previously stated, the lunch buffet is great. For dinner, Id highly suggest it as a place to take a date because of its higher scale appeal and affordability. When we went i think the bill was around $54 less tip, however that included her glass of wine, an appetizer that we shared, our meals, and two canolis to go. I dont care for canolis, but when we got home and threw them in the refrigerator for a little bit then ate them... they were amazing! And Ive had canolis right from New York too!Whether lunch or dinner, you cant go wrong with Marcellos. Forget the movie and just go here for dinner. The texture was spot on and the spice was PERFECT! I asked for spicy and thats exactly what I got. For dinner we ordered green salads (green leaf lettuce, a bit of purple sliced crisp cabbage, black olives, pepperchinis, slivered carrots, croutons and the perfect amount of dressing). We also decided to share a slice of lasagna, because we knew wed order a cannnoli for dessert. The lasagna was served hot and it had delectable cheeses, red sauces, italian spiced meat and perfectly cooked lasagna pasta. The cannoli was fresh and crisp and the filling was sweet, but not over the top sweet. It was drizzled with chocolate, whipped cream and a cherry on top. YUM!Our server was Amanda and she has the best personality. She was fun, professional and prompt. Thank you for the BEST customer service!Earlier in the day, we went to the new chain restaurant in town. The service there was okay, but the food was not. It may be the new shiny penny in town, but if you want great food, choose Marcellos. Marcellos is a family owned business and they contribute and donate back to our community. My brother and I popped into Marcellos on a whim tonight. We ordered one chicken alfredo entree to go, we divided the meal in half at home. One entrée was plenty of food for both of us, considering we are light-to-normal eaters. If you always consume huge meals then you would want your own entrée. The staff was very nice, even though we arrived in under-dressed our sloppy workout clothing. They included complimentary bread with our order, I think we got lucky,(or maybe its custom). We even got to say Hello to the current owner/chef for a moment. I read that he took over ownership in 2009. The chicken alfredo was very good! I added some black pepper to it at home. The noodles where perfect, the sauce was rich, and the chicken was excellent. We will be stopping in here again when we are in the area. Next time we will probably add a salad. The entrée was about $17.99 + tax about $20, and we tipped about $4.00, so our total was about $24.00 ($12.00 each), it has an option of adding a soup or salad to your entrée for an addition $3.49. If you where to sit down and have a full meal here along with wine the prices could quickly add up. After 6 years in California he finally found his favorite place! so many layers of flavor. We loved the service just as much as the food. The best thing about Marcellos is the bread and the service. I had the manicotti, it was over seasoned and the cheese had a grainy texture to it. My husband had the veal and it tasted terrible. The mushrooms appetizer was halfway burnt and dry.

It has an open interior with a small bar at the back.The menu is filled with your traditional Italian fare.I have a few favorites that you should try. First, the Chicken Picatta is my favorite.
