So, I was on the hunt for a used Tacoma and ended up at Manhattan Beach Toyota after checking out a few other spots and talking to some other dealers over the phone. I had my eye on a specific Tacoma I saw online and tried to get in touch with a salesperson beforehand, but no luck with a callback. Not gonna lie, I was a bit annoyed and wasnt in the mood to chat with any salesperson unless I was ready to seal the deal.But then, things took a turn for the better. Before I even got inside, Robert S. came up to me to see how he could help. I told him what I was after, and he took me straight to the truck. No pushy vibes, just friendly and all about solving my problem. That made me way more open to talking with him.Heres the thing – Robert got where I was coming from with my budget. He worked to get me a price I was happy with, and the whole process was way quicker than other car-buying experiences Ive had. Plus, he was all about being transparent and always available for any questions or concerns.As someone in sales myself, Ive got to say, Robert S. really goes the extra mile for his customers. It’s my first time purchasing a car and all I can say is that they have an excellent customer service! I am very satisified with the service that they provided. The transaction and process were so smooth. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the car that I wanted. Gabriel and the staff at Manhattan Beach Toyota earned my 5 star review! I made the drive from the Pasadena area to this dealership, and it was worth every penny that I spent on gas to get there! I saw the RAV4 that I wanted. Took a test drive. Negotiated the deal with Gabriel and his sales manager. Then met with Hector, the Finance Manager. I was in and out the door in 1 hour and 30 minutes!! This is the honest truth. The process was steam lined, well organized, and was just an amazing car buying experience. Just horrible people, at least the salesman and finance team... They convinced and sold my unemployed 72yr old father a car with the highest TRD Package, with zero down payment, a 72 month loan and a payment a third his rent. Of course my father passed away less then two years after this and now my mother has to figure out what to do with the car. Ive tried calling for advice and help and all I get is, Youll have to talk to Toyota about that and wash their hands of helping us. terrible

This has to be one of the best dealerships based on my overall purchase & service experience. I purchased a pre-owned vehicle that we both agreed on a price beforehand. There was no pressure or obligation to buy the vehicle when I arrived. I test drove the vehicle, and any concerns I had were addressed immediately. My sales advisor was Nico Marra. He was impeccable with handling the sales transaction. Just cant say enough how he was able to go over and beyond with handling any of my requests without hesitation. I followed up with the service department (shout out to Aaliyah!), and this was top-notch as well. Im located near the Santa Monica area, and its well worth it to me to make the trip to Manhattan Beach, as customer service atthis level is hard to find. I highly recommend you give them a look for your next vehicle purchase.

By far, this car-buying experience at Manhattan Beach Toyota has been the worst one Ive had in my life—a total nightmare. The Sienna was supposed to be gold-certified and up to Toyota standards. The next day, I got it home, and the A/C began to malfunction. It was an absolute headache to get a hold of the service department. It wasnt until I left a negative comment on Goggle that Allison Lent reached out and assisted me in addressing this issue. The level of incompetence at Manhattan Beach is mind-blowing. Ive made five trips to the dealer, three just on Saturday; I live in Pasadena. The first trip was to pick up the Sienna, and I was told the repairs were completed and ready for pickup.As soon as I got home, the A/C began to malfunction. I immediately contacted the service department and was advised to bring back the Sienna, and I headed down to Manhattan Beach for a second time. As I returned home, as soon as I exited the freeway, I was contacted and told that the issue had been discovered and addressed. The service advisor was apologetic and informed me that the service technician had missed checking an A/C part, which caused the minivan to continue to malfunction. I appreciate Jesus Moreidas excellent customer service. He went above and beyond, but the situation was out of his control. His customer service should be acknowledged and appreciated. I still cannot believe the level of incompetence. I would not recommend this dealer; I will copy and paste my review on Google and Yelp so that other potential buyers see and read the level of stupidity and service that Manhattan Beach Toyota offers to the general public. Also, Hector, the finance manager, should not be allowed to contact potential customers. His demeanor and character come off as a schemer and shyster. As soon as I get the DMV registration, Ill be refinancing the Sienna to my credit union. I want nothing to do with Manhattan Beach Toyota!

It was great working with Ken Howard. He was able to get us a new Toyota Sienna XSE with a lot of the features we wanted. We also got it in Cement color. The dealership didnt have mark ups for the Sienna. With that said, had to pay MRSP. There was a Toyota nationwide promotion for 20% off accessories for Memorial Day weekend, but it was not factored into our purchase. Other than that, everything went smooth. Ken kept us up to date on build and delivery times and was flexible in setting up our appointment to examine the Sienna.

Was looking around at cars for a while and had a few in mind. Came to the dealership to look at a Corolla hatchback and unfortunately there were none on the lot that day. Spoke with STEFAN YANEZ and let him know what I was looking for. A few days later, I received a call that the exact car and color I was looking for arrived on the lot. I went to test drive the car the same day and loved it. STEFAN was awesome. I knew exactly what I wanted and knew the specs of the car inside and out. STEFAN let me do my thing and was pretty hands-off when I was inspecting (which I appreciated). I can be a hard negotiator sometimes but STEFAN worked with me on a price that made us both happy. Needless to say, I drove off the lot in my brand new Corolla pleased with the overall experience. STEFAN, I hope you read this and know that you did a killer job.

Had a service appointment here to get an oil change and tire rotation. They said I needed new rear brakes. I got a second opinion and the second opinion said I had 60% left on my brakes. Seems like this service center is trying to scam people into getting things they dont need. Wont be going back here, even after the Director tried to clarify the situation.Thank you for your response. I have since had it verified that the rear brakes are at 6mm, by two different parties. As I said before, I believe you are doing a disservice to your clients by not explaining the service to them and trying to get them to replace parts before they need replacing.

Adrian was a very knowledgeable, patient, and trust worthy salesman. Each question and doubt I had, Adrian put them to ease and reassured me that I was buying a safe and reliable vehicle. I was indecisive when it came to the type of car I wanted. We reviewed the MPG, the space in both types of cars, and also the features that were included to determine what was a better fit. Adrian helped me realize that a Camry was a better fit for my family and I. Not to mention, the color on my Camry is gorgeous and was an added item on my “pro list” for team Camry. He constantly kept me up to date on the shipment of my car and once it was ready he made the process quick and simple. It’s rare to find a car salesman that you trust, and for that reason, I will definitely refer people to Adrian!

Horrible service! Would never come back to this dealership and would never recommend anyone to come here either. Go elsewhere for your vehicles! The salesman Justin is a horrible customer service person and has no issue lying to you to get you in through the doors. This dealership will market a reduced price online but once you’re in, they will tell you the price is much higher than they advertised. Justin will treat you as if you’re incompetent. Oh also if you’re a woman who asks questions, they don’t really care for your inquiries especially if you go in with a male companion. We left and bought a truck elsewhere within hours of leaving this dealership. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Edit - the price wasn’t honored that’s why we left. It’s the principle that matters.

I recently traded in my 2017 Toyota 86 for a 2021 Camry XSE V6, I had been looking for a V6 Camry for 3 weeks! And Manhattan Beach Toyota happened to have one coming in. I contacted the dealership immediately of my interest in purchasing the car. Immediately I was contacted back the same day and kept up to date with when the car would be arriving, I happened to be helped throughout my experience by Gabriel. Gabriel was very helpful with my purchase experience, from the start he kept me informed up until the point of purchase, he even had the car ready to be test driven for me when I arrived to check the vehicle out. Gabriel’s professionalism was shown from the start. He made the process easy and efficient, I did not feel at any moment that my time I was being wasted. I absolutely loved my experience with Manhattan Beach Toyota. Ken and I were talking for about 2 months before I actually got my car. He explained the whole buying process from top to bottom and made things so much easier for me. Even the finance guy who closed the deal out was very transparent. I wish all car buying experiences were this easy. This is my 4th car, and my first lease. I was extremely nervous because the car buying experience as a whole can be VERY daunting. It was a little amazing how easy it was to purchase a car from Manhattan Beach Toyota. We were in the hunt to purchase a pretty hard to get, Highlander Hybrid with a very specific trim and configuration, and after reach out to Carol, she really took care of us, was very upfront and honest with your communication. While you typically hear horror stories of auto salespersons, that was definitely not my experience with Manhattan Beach Toyota, and when it came to picking up our car, it was smooth sailing, nothing gimmicky or tricky, and we were in and out within 2 hours, just like Carol said. AND while other dealers were charging $5-10k OVER MSRP, Carol came in below MSRP, so this was a slam dunk.Cant say enough great things about this experience, and it sounds like others are having the same great experience too. In a time where inventory of vehicle selection is low and demand is high, Adrian Flores took the time and energy to focus on finding us the vehicle we were looking for. Other dealerships we had reached out to said all the right things, but never followed up or kept a constant line of communication with us. After an unpleasant exchange with a different dealership (which wanted $11k of markups and mandatory dealer add-ons, non-negotiable), I was referred to this dealership by the Costco Auto Program. After signing up, I promptly received an email from Emiko. She kindly and quickly answered my questions and was transparent about pricing (I appreciate that they apparently don’t do dealer markups or mandatory add-ons, which is a nice change). I was in and out in just under a few hours, traded in my old car for a relatively decent amount, with all my issues resolved. From Emiko to the finance guy (forgot his name, but he was pleasant), it was nice change to not feel coerced into buying things I didn’t want/need. Would definitely recommend if you’re in SoCal.

I have been trying to get a refund on a pre paid service contract on a car that was a total loss in a car accident. That said, my first minor service (10k miles) turned into a nightmare when one of the mechanics failed to tighten something (their words) and oil leaked all over my garage. Nightmare. Just left Manhattan Beach Toyota service for the second time I just bought a brand new Prius prime and when you purchase your car currently there’s a key shortage you have to come back in later for your key. Manhattan Beach Toyota has called me back twice to come get the key and when I get there they’ve given away the key to someone else. This is gross incompetence or they’re picking and choosing the people they like to service over others and that’s just ridiculous. I regret purchasing my car here and will have to find another place to service it. I had a nail in my tire, and they refused to fix or replace my tire although they had one in stock, due to me not having my original receipt, although it clearly stated in their system the date I purchased the tires from a different Toyota dealership. I bought a Used 2003 Toyota Rav4 that has low mileage and was very well maintained by the previous owner. My only reservation was the fear of purchasing without having my own mechanic check it out. What if a problem arose really quickly? Todd assured me that if anything came up over the following weeks, to reach out and he would make sure it was taken care of.The long story short is that there ended up being an issue with the front break pads and Todd stayed true to his word. I showed up to Manhattan Beach Toyota and was treated very well by the service staff. Jaime Rodriguez, one of the managers at the service center was incredibly patient and made sure to squeeze me in amidst a long day of repairs. Jose and Jimmy in the service department went on a test drive with me while I explained what was going on and they were incredibly professional and attentive. I left a few hrs later with the problem fixed and very grateful I had purchased from them. Manhattan Beach is about 45 mins from where I live, but after service like that, I will make sure to have all my upcoming maintenance done here.When it is time for me to upgrade my car in a couple of years, I will absolutely come back here. Beware of leaving a refundable deposit for a car. I put a deposit down for the car, but I changed my mind and decided I didn’t want the car anymore. So I contacted my sales representative, Adrian, who told me he’d take care of it. He didn’t, I proceeded to call the dealer and was transferred to people who didn’t pick up the phone. One time I was told to hold as the rep went to speak to the manager only to get hung up on. I asked Adrian to please give me my deposit about 4 times, every time saying he’s take care of it until he just ghosted me. It felt like the dealership didn’t want to give me back my refundable deposit. I had to call the dealer at least 10 times before I finally reached someone who gave me the phone number of the sales manager. Finally after calling him, I got my refund processed.All in all, it took 10 days to get my refund, at least 10 calls that went nowhere, and a sales representative who says one thing and doesn’t follow through with his word.Avoid this dealership if you’re going to put a refundable deposit down!

Wife and I have been shopping for new car since pre pandemic. Going to dealerships, asking questions, test driving, and dealing with sales people. When the decision had to be made, we chose a TRD 4Runner. Sadly no inventory was to be had, due to massive supply shortages and production decreases. All we could do is send an email to Toyota with our inquiry. Within 30 minutes we got a response from Carol Gutierrez at Manhattan Beach Toyota. She asked us to build our Toyota on the website and send her the specs. Within the hour she found us a match. Inventory shortages were soo bad the vehicle wasnt even at another dealership. It was still on a ship coming from the manufacturer. We set up a refundable deposit, then waited a couple weeks for its arrival. When the day came for us to go see our possible new car, we were already preparing ourselves with the Sales person game plan. That was a waste of our time. Carol G. was by far the nicest, most honest and down to earth sales person we have ever met. From the time she greeted us, to the time we walked out as new 4Runner owners, was less than 2 hours. With all the research we had done comparing prices against dealership markups, distance, availability, and all important info (My wife and I over analyze everything and are number crunchers, and spreadsheet makers) we couldnt have got a better deal, and especially a better experience. Only place to buy a new or used Toyota! Went in to help my mom find a car that was easy on her wallet and would work for her A to Z trips throughout the year. We met with Nathan Campbell and after greeting us kindly, he immediately asked what our needs were. During these challenging times, I’m aware of the difficulty in finding the vehicle I desire at a reasonable price, especially in a particular color and with specific options and accessories. I fretted over the thought that I’d have to either wait a awhile until I find the vehicle I really want or settle for something else. However, I made the wise choice to contact Manhattan Beach Toyota, and what was even more fortunate was having Adrian Flores as the Sales Consultant who assisted me and who made me feel at ease. Although the vehicle I wanted wasn’t in stock, he listened to me and was courteous while taking the time to search for my vehicle. As it turned out, their dealership was expecting an allocation of the exact vehicle and color that I was looking for, which apparently was quite popular and hard to obtain. Since my vehicle had yet to be built, Adrian kept me updated on the status after I reserved the vehicle. Throughout the waiting process, I had various inquiries for Adrian. He maintained his professionalism by consistently replying in a timely manner, so I appreciated his time and patience with me. As my vehicle was nearing the delivery day at the dealership, Adrian and his colleagues took the necessary actions to ensure that after delivery, the vehicle pickup and purchase process went smoothly. I bought a 2023 GR Corolla from Toyota Norwalk, but brought my car in to Manhattan Beach Toyota for warranty repairs. MB Toyota has been helpful in providing a loaner during the servicing of the vehicle, however I feel the need to reflect my experience with Toyota as a brand in the form of a review with the dealer Im currently working with. In late September, the digital gauge cluster on my GR Corolla turned black and never turned back on. I brought the car to Manhattan Beach under warranty, and was told the part had to be shipped in, and there was no ETA. It is now early November, and I am still driving a loaner, base trim Corolla, and have submitted a lemon claim for which I was quoted approximately 60 days before I would even get a decision whether to buy back the car or not.In sum, I thought buying a brand new Toyota would be a worry free experience, but in reality it has been the opposite. With regard to Toyota as a whole, I realize my experience is probably an outlier, but I cannot in good conscience maintain what was a 5-star review. Will update this with the resolution, whenever that happens.

I will start by don’t trust the reviews, that is the mistake I made when I picked this dealership. I live near downtown LA. And I thought a dealership with decent reviews and Next to the beach, I can relax and just wait for the car to be finished, because Toyota does not offer loaners unless your car is broken down and unsafe to drive and it usually takes 3-4 hrs just to get an estimate here, they promise to call but It’s usually I have to call. And multiple visits to get anything simple done. I’ve had to drive back and forth multiple time to re explain my original problem. Long story short I have hired a lawyerTo the Owner or GM of MBT...You need to hire or train your staff to be more courteous, yes they have a strenuous job, yes they can be having just a bad day and yes customers can be rude and dumb but that’s how it is in the retail service sector. I have been going to Toyota service for 6 years and I finally found Aiden who is a service advisor that went above and beyond to make sure that I was attended to in a timely manner. He had a detailed approach to making sure my truck was taken care of in the best way possible. He was also diligent on updating the progress and status of the updates to my truck and providing a realistic timeframe of when my truck would be ready for pick up. Stay away if you don’t want to be scammed! This establishment blatantly disregards the Toyota manual’s recommendations for hybrid vehicles, opting instead to follow what the State of California suggests for hybrids, which is vastly different from the norm. Typically, it’s advised to change the oil every 3,000 miles or 6,000 for synthetic oil changes. However, they insist on doing it every 10,000 miles. If you own a Prius and expect an oil change every 5,000 miles, you’ll end up paying for it, but they’ll only change it every 10,000 miles. This practice is not only misleading but also potentially detrimental to your vehicle’s health and longevity.

I shopped for cars quite a lot and this is thus far the best customer service and experience I had. Used car salesman Joseph goes above and beyond to assist me in the whole car purchasing process. From when I called the dealership inquiring about a vehicle to post vehicle purchase. I also had a great experience with the used car sales manager. Very nice guy. The detailing done on my black car is insane too. Got a mirror look to it. I believe its important to have a great team to make a place great. So my rating for this place is solely based on my encounter with those two men.

I purchased a used 2022 Toyota camry hybrid a little less than 2 months ago from here. My salesperson Charley Hernandez was great 5/5. He answered all my questions and was super nice, going above and beyond. My issue and reason for the 3/5 stars overall was the financial manager I dealt with, Sang Lee. During the signing process, I was be upsold on extended warranty, prepaid maintenance, tires protection, etc which I have no problem with, that’s your job. My issue with Sang is that I decided I didn’t want any of that a week later so I called to try to cancel those. Sang straight up lied to me over the phone and told me I couldn’t cancel some of those services cause “it was in the contract I signed”. So I actually read my contract, which said I could cancel them with no penalty within 30-60 days. I was able to cancel all of those services by going straight to Toyota financial services and saved myself almost $8000 in loans. That interaction left a bad taste in my mouth and is the only negative thing I can point to from my experience at this dealership, which is why I had to bump down my rating.

One of the motivations to purchase a Toyota was for affordable maintenance and parts, but this has not been my experience with Toyota.I came for my routine oil change and was presented with over $1000 worth of maintenance, none of which was essential. This has been a repeated occurrence and is absolutely unacceptable.If Im going to pay these excessive costs, why even purchase a Toyota car? Whats the point of taking my car to a Toyota dealership if Im not going to be rewarded as a loyal customer with reasonable parts and maintenance? To ask for $49.95 to replace an engine air filter is excessive price gouging. Engine air filters run between $8-15 and are not difficult to replace.Clearly Toyota is not interested in supporting their loyal customers with quality service at an affordable price. When I am done with my prepaid service, I will take my car elsewhere. This Toyota dealership has lost my business with its repeated price gouging, dishonesty, and manipulation.

The 5 Star Reviews of Manhattan Beach Toyota are absolutely true. The staff here are amazing. Jonathan Sipin responded to my emails promptly even after having to reschedule my meeting with him multiple times. When I arrived, very friendly Marcos took the lead helping me test drive the car and answered any questions I had. Armando helped out during negotiations and Hector walked me through the Financing. Usually car purchasing ends there and the dealership sends you on your way once youve made your purchase. However these guys took it the extra mile. I was stuck at the dealership with my rental car and the car I had just purchased. I had to return my rental car. Jonathan followed me to the rental car return, waited for me and then drove me back to the dealership. Thats what you call amazing service. I will definitely be recommending Manhattan Beach Toyota to all my friends and family looking for a positive car buying experience ... one that takes care of their customer from start to finish.

I went to Manhattan Beach Toyota after a bad experience with Carson Toyota and was not disappointed in my decision. Conrad Sokalski listened to what I wanted and helped provide information on availability and financial numbers. Conrad stayed in contact with me throughout the waiting process, updating me every time there was news about the vehicle I wanted. I changed my mind on the model midway through the process, and not only did Conrad make the proper adjustments to get me the car I wanted, he didnt make a big deal about the change at all. Conrad made the entire experience painless. Im definitely happy with my purchase, but Conrad helped make the process stress and worry free. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the financial manager who processed the financing on my vehicle, but he made the process painless as well.

My experience was excellent! I purchased a certified 2017 Toyota Highlander from Sam the salesman who is a great guy to work with. The vehicle was a newer lease offering that had just come up on their website in a color my wife liked. When I got it home, I noted a small dent and a few scuffs in the back that I had overlooked during the transaction. I worked with the service manager (Cesar) and he took care of them so that the vehicle now looks mint (new). I was very very pleased with their willingness to do this without any fuss. The staff I met at Manhattan Beach Toyota were all very nice, professional and helpful and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone thinking about purchasing a new or used Toyota. Even though I live an hour away, I am going to go back there for all my periodic service needs. Again, great experience. .

Manhattan Toyota was not my first choice as a dealership as I lived 50 miles away, but I’m so glad that we came to this dealership because I couldn’t have had a better experience buying a car. The Sales manager and sales rep Juan T. were so awesome and killing it with going the WHOLE 9 yards. They both had great experience in customer service and made us feel happier about buying a new car and educated us about our new vehicle as well. Although this review is late by a couple of months, I wanted to make sure I appreciate the great customer service. I purchased a Honda Pilot 2016 model from Manhattan Beach Toyota. I had a great experience dealing with Nathan Campbell. I found him to be very professional and trustworthy. I traveled all the way from San Diego as I found the car at just about the right price. Nathan ensured that he held the car keys until I reached there. After the test drive, he explained me everything in a very transparent way and answered all my questions very patiently. I never felt rushed even once to take a decision, although it was nearing closing time. The discussion with him helped me explore all my options and take the right decision. The car condition was also very close to what I saw online and expected. I had visited a lot of other dealerships in the past and was tired of dealing with all the lies, hidden conditions and always felt like I was being rushed into something. After visiting several dealerships for the past two months, I found a place where I felt comfortable, didnt feel pressured and was treated as a valued customer. There was no mansplaining, no personal questions or snarky remarks, which after many awkward and disrespectful encounters at other places, I highly appreciate and Im grateful for. Not only did get our exact car, he set up everything in advance paperwork wise so it was quick and easy. I have purchased at least 6 new cars, this was BY FAR the easiest transaction I have ever endured.
