Im a developer, so Ive worked with a lot of agents over my career. Unfortunately I dont always get to pick and choose who I work with. Sometimes I get saddled with whatever, horrible agent the seller was naive enough to trust in.The 80/20 rule applies. I think only about 20% of agents are worth working with and bring value to the transaction above and beyond their cost. Eric is clearly one of those 20%. I would strongly recommend others to work with him so they can have the same positive experience I did.We worked with Eric for over a year on both the purchase and sale of a property in Torrance. The acquisition was complicated (squatters), and the sale was not without its curveball when the original buyer, whose agent had assured us “loved the property” and was “ready to close ASAP”, suddenly canceled escrow with no warning. Apparently the husband was never really on board with the purchase.Eric did a masterful job of getting the second position buyer into escrow in less than 24 hours at the same price, and basically the same closing date. So even though we completely lost our original buyers, he was able to get new buyers to step in AT THE SAME PRICE as though nothing had ever happened.Whats really significant about this is when it was done. This was not in 2021 or 2022 when any idiot with a real estate license could sell anything, anywhere, at any price with multiple offers.This was in 2023 when the market was chilly, and interest rates were 7%. Performing in difficult situations is the true test of any professional.

We recently relocated from the Central Valley to the South Bay. The housing market was extremely competitive and almost out of reach for us. Working with Eric was a complete game-changer! It was an absolute pleasure working with Eric. The business acumen he possesses in South Bay Los Angeles real estate positioned us perfectly to sell the house we were currently in and buy the home of our dreams. Eric was fantastic throughout my home buying experience. As a local, he was very knowledgeable of the areas I was looking and gave his perspective on each when I inquired. Gave me straight forward answers and worked through the weekends for me. He was thorough with the comps in the area and gave me a good idea of what it would sell for. His calm demeanor put me at ease, as it can get a bit unnerving trying to find a new home in the area. Having an experienced agent in Eric, helped place my bid near the top since other agents did not know some of the regulations required. He always kept me in the updated and was responsive to any texts (ands there were a lot) I sent. If you want an enjoyable home buying experience ie, get the home you want, I would highly recommend Eric Fonoimoana
