This was my first time going to this library and I live in the area it was very nice and clean and organized and yes they have ocean views 😀😍 never seen that in a library 📚 will definitely come back and do my work and studies here.

Cute library but their AC is currently broken on the second floor. I would highly recommend reserving a study room a day ahead of time as there are only three private study rooms and they get booked by early morning. There’s not that many seating areas but they do have a great selection of movies and books, as well as a teen-only room, public computers, and public printers! Definitely a library best for a younger audience but at least well kept!

Best public library I have ever been to. You can beat the views of the ocean from the 2nd floor. Definitely recommend sitting next to the fire place on the second floor and enjoying the view.We were there for a public meeting, didn’t get a book. The collection seems to be amazing. They also have an automated book filling and sorting system which you can check out.

Manhattan Beach has one of the nicest libraries that I have ever visit. Next time you visit Manhattan Beach, please do not hesitate paying the place a visit, even if it is just to take a few pictures. You will not regret it.

I love to come here to get some work done. Nice view and updated equipment and furniture and I prefer to get a study room if available. After work if time permits take a walk on the Strand a nice way to end a work day or better yet go get a bite to eat as there are many small eatery on highland.

This library is absolutely incredible. I live in Venice and I have been looking for a place to study for literally six months... every library around me is not up to my standards. This one takes the cake. It is stunning, in beautiful Manhattan beach, everyone is hot and studious, and It overlooks the ocean from the second floor with ceiling to floor glass windows. LOVE this library and have been coming very frequently.

Good library but limited parking to 2 hours, which tends to be too short for studying. Also, they are SERIOUS about ticketing you. So do not go over even a minute.

Views of the ocean and mountains, great study space, computer space and exceptional layout. Awesome place to study while the sun sets. Can do some work and go for a surf or swim on a break. Doesnt get much better than this if you need to get some work done somewhere quiet. Its modern architecture and large windows would allow this library to hold its own at any world class university in terms of study space.

Fantastic place. Works best library. Friendly and polite librarians. Good source of books and kids stuff is amazing. DVD rentals service is great. For me the highlight is the screens that’s show book sitting after book drop.

The Manhattan Beach Library just reopened after a massive multi-million dollar rebuild. The new library is incredible - with amazing ocean views, a reading lounge complete with a fireplace, reservable private study rooms, a teen room complete with computers and age appropriate books, a large kids section...I cold go on. Not only is it beautifully designed, the space inside is open, fresh and conducive to browsing and reading books.This library also boasts self check out and automated book return - very high tech and very easy to use. To top it off, the library staff are incredible, award winning individuals always helpful, friendly, and there to assist.Pro tip - only two of the four private study rooms can be reserved, the other two are first come first serve.

Ive only been to this location one time but speaking of making a good first impression, this one made a real 5-star impression. It looks clean, well stocked, etc. And, more importantly, the staff is engaging and knowledgeable. It got to the point that I worried I was bugging them with too many requests, etc., but they patiently and efficiently got me my answers before moving on to help others. Too bad COVD-19 has physically shut them down for now (as of this December 2020 posting).

First time visiting this place and I was completely amazed. From the way it looks outside, all glass walls and one of the sides is facing the ocean, the entrance area has self check out and self return of books. Head upstairs and you see rooms that can be reserve for groups or one person, the rooms have projectors and WiFi is available. The whole place is very modern looking and extremely organized and clean, even the bathrooms are spotless.Parking can be a little difficult there is mostly meter paring for 2 hours with very enforced parking restrictions so keep that in mind.Overall, this place is amazing! I will be returning more often

They recently renovated the Manhattan beach library and did a fabulous job. In such a digital age, Im surprised by how busy it is all the time! The art inside is beautiful and its centrally located to downtown. Great place to find some peace and quiet and get some work done.

Beautiful library with an amazing selection of DVDs. Well lit and designed with great architecture. Location is very nice with nearby parking. Parking could be better, that is why I gave four stars instead of five.

I love libraries and this one is just beautiful. In addition, its right by the beach. Grab a book and head over to the sand for some time away from lifes craziness. You can also catch a great pic of the sunset by the keyhole likeness.

The 30mins story time were always cut to 10-15 mins and it’s not worth the drive. Once one kid stand up, they will just sing the goodbye song right away. ;( except Michael he is good librarian. Loud and clear voice for storytelling.

I truly love this library! From staff to private rooms and room to study, my only pet peeve is parking. Free parking is only two hours and paid parking can become costly if you need to study from 5-6 hours a day.

Beautiful Library!!! Very calm. Its view of the sea transforms it into an oasis for readers. You can look for your favorite book and sit and read in front of the huge windows. Free entry.Most beautifully the entire bottom section is dedicated to children, a full floor of childrens literature with space to read and some interactive games about life in the ocean.The Staircase leading to the upper floor with the sculptures is a mind-blowing sight in itself.Do not miss it!!!!
