Its a small family establishment. Some dishes are very good like Beef tendon noodle soup, potstickers and side dishes of cucumber salad and Seaweed salad. The Kung pao chicken had meat that was dry, like it was precooked. It definitely did not have that juicy, just cooked feel. He asked if we wanted it a little spicy. We said yes, but there was no spice added, so it wasnt a great choice. Maybe thats why its on the back page, like an extra section. Concentrate on the 2 main pages on the inside of the menu. They have their own little parking lot.

Ive been coming here for years. For me, the beef noodle soup with the hand pulled noodles are the best in the area. I want to try other things on the menu, but I cant stop myself from ordering the beef noodle soup, potstickers, and onion pancake every time I go there. Friendly and honest service. I accidentally paid twice, and the owner chased me down in the parking lot to give me my money back.

This place has been around forever (although I think its changed owners a few times). But the food is still great. Came in for their pork chop rice, which is one of their signature dishes. Oh so good. Service was great.

Pretty authentic flavors! I especially enjoyed their pork chop rice, totally reminds me of the flavors in Taiwan. The owners are Taiwanese and they told me their parents are from Shandong, so I can imagine they must be really good at making noodles and dumplings. Will be back for more!Note:Cash only! They charged $0.5 for sour cabbage (yes, not included for the beef noodles, and extra $2 for the handmade noodles)

(6/1/2023) Probably currently the best Beef Noodles Soup in Los Angeles Area in my opinion. (Beef with a little fatty made the noodles and soup taste more better) Owner was very nice, and recommended Pork Chop Rice also good as well. Pork Chop Rice also good because Pork Chop was already marinated in a good flavor. Pan Fried Dumplings was okay but I liked more crispy in my opinion. Recommended people come here to try for lunch or dinner because it was not expensive to try a good Beef Noodle Soup in this area, and definitely come back to try Green Onions Pamcakes, Pork Chop Feet (Owner Highly Recommend), and Beef Tendon when I nearby the area.

I came here on a cold windy night just to get one thing…the beef noodle soup. It was recommended by someone who knows his Chinese food. He said that this soup was good…if he says it I believe!So finally after a year or so I got to come in and try since the place I originally planned to eat at closed early. It was empty at first then while eating, slowly started to fill up on this wet Sunday.Walked in ordered the soup and 10 mins later the soup came out HOT!!!! Spicy and hot to the touch just the way I like it. The noodles are thick, chewy, and they hold on to the broth well. Tender beef pieces break down softly on my tongue soaked with the spicy, peppery broth! My mouth is watering now just remembering of this bowl of noodles. The cilantro adds a freshness that brightens up the soup.Much needed after a long day of travel very comforting food for the soul. Filled my belly and warmed my body! Will be coming back to try some other items but this was a great start for me.

Five stars for food, service, etc etc!They have their own parking lot and it looks small but I have always found a spot.Cash only - I always forget this but I always happen to have enough whenever I come thankfully!This family business truly treats you well. Denny always greets you with friendliness, energy, cheer, helpfulness, and comedy (at least he always makes me laugh).Customer service is always #1 here!!Heck, I even told him I was gonna take a picture of the place to leave a review and he posed for me 🤣I love the dumplings, noodles, etc etc. The only thing to note is if you are getting food to go, might be better to get boiled dumplings than fried because it won’t maintain crispyness (as any place when you get food to go) and it becomes kind of hard to chew.I love this place though and definitely will come back!

Came here twice recently. The beef noodle soup with handmade noodles is my go-to dish. Broth is delicious and not usually too spicy imo, beef tender with generous portion (not much fat), noodles are thick and chewy, some spinach, and cilantro plentiful. I finish a whole bowl myself.Depending on when you go parking can be difficult to find in their small lot. Other options are street parking or parking in the plaza next door and walking over. Sometimes the lot is empty and there are plenty of spaces, while other times it is crowded. Hit or miss.

This restaurant is a hidden gem and the beef noodle soup truly deserves a crown. In particular, the broth is packed with so much flavor and you can really taste the 5-spice blend in it. The dish itself is not too oily and not too salty like any other places. They are very generous with the beef and it had a perfect ratio between lean and fatty meats. It has been here for long time, but Ive never tried it. My friends and I decided to give it a try the other day. I regretted so much that I havent been coming here. The noodles were really good. Its southern style noodle soups, so has strong umami taste. If you dont like that kind of taste, then its not for you. The service is very good. The owner/server is super friendly and handsome. 😉 LOL definitely will come back again.

Great service and hes someone who clearly cares about his customers (checking in with everyone and even helping someone retrieve their phone from an Uber). The atmosphere was comfortable - not fancy, but homey. Im veg, so not the best judge of the food (I heard the beef soup noodles were great), but I enjoyed the food as well.

Literally the best chinese food i’ve had. danny who i believe is the owner was so kind and conversational throughout our whole time there. he recommended the pork chop over rice, beef with handheld noodles, and mandarin chicken to my family and i and we all got one of those things. the beef with handheld noodle soup was delicious. the beef was tender and soft and the noodles were thick. the pork over rice was really good as well, the pork was flavorful and not too salty at all. and my personal favorite was the mandarin chicken with a side of rice. the chicken was crispy and the mandarin flavor was perfect and not too overpowering and it had a taste of garlic which i loved. we also shared the onion pancake which was thick and crispy which tasted really good with the mandarin chicken. everything was amazing and i definitely recommend this spot to anyone traveling to LA or who just lives in the surrounding area. i personally don’t live in LA but if i ever come back im definitely coming back here. danny was also so kind and you can really tell he loves his restaurant and values his costumers.

This place well surpassed expectations and is worth coming back to try the rest of the menu - menu was focused and everything was delicious. Standouts were anything with the handpulled noodles (make sure to ask for your dish to have them), the dumplings, the cucumber salad, and the fried pork chop. The fried pork chop was actually closer to a “grilled” sensation and very well done/tender and great fat distribution. The proprietor was also super friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations!

From the moment I walked in the door, you felt welcomed, like they appreciate their customers. I got the Pork Chop Soup Noodles and an order of fried dumplings (potsickers) to go. When they pack it to go, they pack the noodles and the broth separately, as it should be, so have a big bowl ready.Bothe the noodles and the potstickers were amazing. I like the corner cut out of the top of the container so that the dumpling dont steam themselves. Little touches make a difference.

Some of the best northern Chinese food Ive had in the world. The classic beef noodle soup was textbook perfection. There are so many chinese restaurants in Monterey park. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The kung Pow chicken was a soupy mess with no flavor. The chicken was boiled, not breaded and fried like the picture. The shredded pork soup had no pork in it and the handmade noodles were over cooked and clouded the broth when placed in the soup. Very disappointing. Also, everything was turned on it’s side when my girlfriend picked up the food. The mess they called kung psi spilled in the bag.

I am not Asian, so I do not know how much this review will weigh. That being said, I love all kinds of Asian food. I love Japanese food, I love Thai food, I love Filipino food, but I havent found many good Chinese restaurants. This place changed that.There are plenty of Americanized Chinese restaurants, but not that many TRADITIONAL Chinese restaurants. Again, with not too much reference with traditional Chinese cuisine, this place takes the cake.The beef noodle soup is absolutely delicious. Easily one of their best items. My only criticism is that I dont get more because I CANT STOP EATING IT! It is that good. The noodles taste like they are homemade, the broth is very rich and bursting with flavor, and the meat is seasoned very well. I think the serving size is 4. Yeah, all 4 me!Their beef pancake is delicious. The sauce is amazing. The tortilla like bread they wrap it in is sweet and crispy, but flexible. Perfection.The service is always fast, and the male worker (I think he is the son or grandson) is such a character! Very funny and great conversationalist. I was invited to try this place with my cousin David as we were meeting for the first time… I very rarely give reviews. This place deserves it! It is a cute spot located in Monterey park! We were greeted warmly, by a handsome young man. When looking at the menu there was so much on it I had no idea what to order, so I let my cousin David order his usual… The order consisted of the Cold pickle cucumber salad (which I would love to replicate) boiled fish dumpling, combination cold cut, and Beef stewed soup with handmade noodle… Every item was delicious! As if we were guest in their home🥰 We were also served the thin onion pancake! Absolutely delicious! I will most definitely return. Wonderful food and friendly service. Very mom-and-pop vibe. A Monterey Park staple! We had the regressing cucumber salad, the spicy chili noodle, the preserved vegetable fried rice cake, and the nira buns. The nira buns take a little while but are worth it! We will definitely come back.

Tried the onion pancake on recommendation., Now, I hate onions, but was told that the taste of it was almost nil, so we tried it.To my surprise, we all really liked them, the onion are more of the scallion variety, it is fried but not grease, we all thought it was closer to eating a Mexican quesadilla, but there was no cheese, instead it was the dough of the pancake. Nice.Also on recommendation we tried the fried dumplings which were also great, dipped in a semi sweet garlicky sauce and a dab of the house hot sauce, or the oil child sauce were also very good.Has some friend combo rice and the mandating chicken which was slightly sweet and hit the spot perfectly.All in all, cant wait to go back there again.

Feasted on a beef noodle soup and side of cucumber. This was hands down the best bowl of beef noodle soup I have ever had. Super rich, flavorful, and fulfilling broth. The beef was tender. The noodles had a great chewy texture but were still thin and easy to eat. Perfection! The cucumbers were well-dressed and a great contrast to the hearty bowl of soup. Incredibly satisfied with my super cheap and super tasty meal!

We have been eating either here or at the original Chinatown Mandarin Deli for the past 40 some odd years. Started pre kids, then with young kids and now with grown up kids. All the kids especially like the Noodles with Special Pork Sauce. I like spicy Glass noodles with stewed beef. Dumplings are super. Never grew up eating cukes but the garlic pickled cukes are addictive. Wife loves the tofu salad. Scallion pancakes are a little on the doughy side but tasty. Very hard to find the really thin ones. Busy at peak hours. Small parking lot where there is usually room.

It is over priced. $90 for 3 people with really small servings. The flavor was mediocre very Americanized, the service atrocious. The owner was rude and totally unorganized, I guess since it is 3rd generation customer service was left out. I was welcomed with a smile and a great attitude. Service was perfect, food served FRESH and HOT and the beef soup the server recommended melted in my mouth. Beef was tasty and tender not too fatty. Noodles are great also. The onion pancakes were excellent as well. The server even kindly gave me a sample of the pickled cucumber dish oh man so fresh and my taste buds were VERY happy. I remember coming here almost every Sunday after church when I was growing up! Im so glad to know that I can still get my favorite potstickers (pan fried dumplings) and thin onion pancake. Since it had been a while since Ive been to this location, I couldnt remember some of the other dishes my family used to order, but Denny was very helpful telling me about some of the popular dishes. It was my first time trying the beef noodle soup with handmade noodles. Its sooooo good! The broth is flavorful and rich with a little spice and the pieces of beef are soft. I usually get the pork chop soup noodle because thats my dads favorite but it was nice to try something different.

There is a small parking area by the restaurant or you can park on the streets.The place accepts cash only and the dishes are around $9-14. My sister ordered the beef brisket noodles soup, wonton and noodles soup, and fish dumplimgs (10 pieces). The bill came to $40. Not exactly cheap.The flavors were great. The portion of each dish was enough for one, so not too big.It is a family run business. The mom and son take turns providing service on the floor while the father mans the kitchen. We were there when the son was, he was great, easy going.Although it wasnt cheap but with COVID we can understand. We would go back when the weather gets cold again.

One of, if not the best, bowl of Taiwanese beef noodle soup Ive had in America.First off, a word of warning, while you may reasonably think that all of the beef noodle soup bowls on the menu use the same handmade noodles, this is not the case. They did not simply run out of space in some item descriptions, running out of space was a coincidence, and items that dont note they use their own noodles dont necessarily.That said, you can ask to have their handmade noodles added to an item that didnt originally have them, I think it was an extra dollar or so.I got the beef and tendon mix with the handmade noodle addition. Theres a lot to break down, so point by point:*Noodles: The handmade noodles were very good, with a delightful texture*Soup: Flavorful with multiple notes. Maybe my biggest criticism to the overall bowl, though, is that the soup is a bit on the thin side, but the soup was still very good.*Beef: Some pieces were superb, with just enough fat to melt tenderly in my mouth. I ordered the Zha Jiang Mian & my friend had the Beef stew, I think each bowl was like $9, but a bowl that size in west LA / Santa Monica would easily cost like $12-16😭We also had the scallion pancakes, steamed dumplings, & a side of pickled Cucumber Salad and Seaweed Salad. So yummy! (Just remember, this is a Chinese restaurant, so if you’re used to Japanese-style seaweed salad, like what you get with sushi, that’s more stringy/thin and lighter green, that’s not what you’ll get— this seaweed is darker in color, and cut thicker)🙂The food came out extremely fast, and I also loved that the menu had every item in both languages (1 column in Chinese, 1 column in English) which made it super easy to navigate. Not that it’s a big deal, but I hate menus that try to cram both languages into 1 line, it makes the whole thing hard to skim quickly.A con about the experience was that because the restaurant is right next to a busy street, there’s a lot of noisy traffic / honking horns, and this is just my germaphobic side coming out, but I would assume there’s dirt or dust from the busy street that gets blown into your food (esp at the speeds that cars are whizzing by lol)😂

This is a family owned restaurant that is currently being run by the 2nd generation. Lol...I came here the 1st time when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, who is currently 26 years old...Hahaha...we moved out of the area and lived much further away so I never revisited until I mentioned to my daughter about this place. I thought the addition of all the vegetables was needed as it lightened up each bite from the sauce. Family run Chinese food offering classic Chinese dishes, mainly noodle, soup, rice and a few side dishes. Taste was good and price was acceptable. It wasnt busy when we arrived and good seated right away.

Small restaurant, but it is clean and the food is good. Waiter is not super attentive, but passable. He also forgot one of my orders, but oh well, happened once.
