Its am amazing shop. Major surplus doesnt have everything I needed but they had things I could use to substitute. And the front desk lady at the time was very patient with me and to the point / helpful. Really good service and really good store for camping, prepping, airsoft and outdoor gear.Thank you so much!!

Great place to get prepardness/survival supplies. They have camping supplies, clothing, military/law enforcement supplies and many other things you didnt know you needed/wanted. Staff is helpfull and easy to find if you have questions. Come on by and get lost in here for a few hours.

This is a great store!I went on strike a few years ago and there were torrential downpours expected, so I bought a set of rainproof pants and jacket that I call my tow truck driver suit becauseThe expected downpours did occur, and along with my Salomon hiking boots that I got elsewhere, I was pretty much the only striker that stayed dry!

I love this store. The staff are nice and helpful and you cant beat their prices. I bought a range back and when I was picking it out, I didnt see a price on it so I asked them and when they looked it up, they immediately knocked off $20 without me even asking. I like that kind of customer service. The Voodoo Tactical gear is top quality. I cannot recommend this store enough.

I called and told the employee that works here at 4:50 pm and told her I was on my way. She told me it was ok and I arrived and they are now closed. I wasted my gas all the way from Long Beach to come here and they closed even though I got the ok to come in I arrived at 5:12pm the operating hours says they close at 6

Excellent location. The people that work there are kind and knowledgeable about there products. Its a huge store with lots and lots of parking on the outside and up and down the street so the flow is pretty mellow. The price range is amazing so competitive there beanies are 1.00 a peace! Some great stuff, but I have an issue with pricing on sale item. I get 2 sale fliers in mail and 1 via email which lists aluminized casualty blanket for $10.95 and tried to buy 2 online. Price comes up as $12.95, and now I get another email for same fall season sale and they are listed at $12.95. WHAT PRICE IS IT ? I do not need them for $ 12.95

If youre buying new items theres no issues. If buying used military surplus they seem to overstate the condition of the item. Browsing the website you dont see many reviews because they dont print poor reviews. Caveat emptor.

This is a great place to come and check out with all the uncertainty thats going on in our society right now this is a great place to get supplies even if youre not a full-on prepper waiting for the end of the world but you want to have something stored away in the event of an earthquake or any other natural disaster that we might incur this is the place to go Ive been living around the area for a long time and Ive been going here before the Los Angeles riots this place has helped us out a lot they always have everything that you need great prices great selection this is a must if youre in the area and if youre not in the area sign up for their flyer and visit them online but definitely worth checking out in person you will definitely walk out with some glow sticks some MREs and maybe some cool bags

This is a great store for all your average outdoor necessities, good to walk around the whole place for about an hour and easily pick up a couple things you didnt even know youd want, they used to have a good selection of airsoft guns and pellet rifles but theyve all but weened that out of their shop so thats a little sad. All in all great little shop to drop by every once and a while take a look around.

Although its name says surplus, I found Major S&S to be packed with a myriad of useful equipment & other items... Camping gear, survival food, clothing, footwear, sunglasses, hats, ammo cans, helmets & on & on... This place contains so much valuable & useful stuff... youd be a fool not to but, its prices are low... Great value for your dollar.Lots of free parking in its fenced adjacent lot. Easy to find right off 110 freeway via the Redondo Bch Blvd exit. Staff dont bother you while youre browsing, but are more than knowledgeable if you have any questions. -- Great place. Great deals.

Ive been coming to Major Surplus for years. The customer service has always been top notch for me. If the item youre looking for isnt in stock, theyll order it for you. The prices are fair and the majority of the time is cheaper than anywhere else. Major Surplus has tons of items, from things like ex. (Camping, Survival, Uniforms, etc...). They have their own brand, which is VooDoo and I believe its one of the best brands. Not to mention they teamed with I&I Sports, for all your paintball, etc. needs. So you cant really go wrong with Major Surplus, its a one stop shop for all your surplus needs.

Needed a bigger selection of pants. Most of the pants selection were out. Only one brand carried here also, a off name brand is what they carried. I support the military as a veteran and all stores carrying products but may have to go to a different location next time like on Venice Blvd. Google maps brought me here from bellflower.

I bought 2, 26’ parachute lines for $5 apiece. The only shipping options were FedEx 2 day ( 12.95 ) or overnight for ( $119 .) The cord weighs about 2 oz, I guess USPO Flat rate shipping hasn’t been brought to this company’s attention yet? FedEx did NOT deliver my order to my address, instead they held it at their warehouse to be picked up???? It says “Home Delivery” right on my sales receipt? So I’m guessing there is a scam where Major Surplus charges top dollar for shipping and actually get some cheap rate for not delivering to a home address? They have Forever lost this long time Customer!

Ordered a suit, they didnt send it, emailed them, then they sent only the pants in the wrong color, and said the item was out of stock. Got a refund and free pants. Ultimately worked out, but caveat emptor, even if you do get what you order, it very often comes in bad condition (stinky, shrunken, crumpled up clothes, blades with knicked edges)

This place is awesome for bug out gear and camping. This place is not a sporting good store but they have vintage military items. Water containers, canned food, knives, firearm holsters, empty ammo cans, and more. I come here before going to a sporting goods store.

Ordered wool blankets. The blankets, were marketed as polish wool blankets, where the wool content may very. Ok, no problem. What I do have a problem with, is getting 5 blankets that say 100% acrylic on the tag, and the other that has less than 10% wool. And that wool is blended with synthetic fibers.

Not happy at all with this company, People are very rude, they give you an option to buy something and then after you pay they tell you they do not have it in stock anymore! Its ridiculous, also they do not ship when asked, they delay your shipment order. I had a very special present going to some one very close to me and they have completely screwed my order. I have never been so upset with a company in my entire life. It is very unacceptable. I will not be buying from this company again once they give me what I bought.

Tiffanys for Real Men. I Went there looking for paracord, which I found. I sat the stuff down at the counter to browse hands free. I saw things I thought I could only get on line from Sportsmans Guide, and some things I had never seen before, anywhere! There were ample, very helpful, and courteous staff, talking to me like Yes, Sir, thats right over here, or, Let me look in the back. I got a serious wish list now.The store is fastidiously neat and orderly, and I found high quality gear in every corner. I will be going back very soon.

US genuine issue modular sleep system Chinese stuff sack sucks ****s. I tried speaking to them and they said we sent you what you ordered and the description doesnt say anything about the product being authentic. Basically saying we can sell you a cheap stuff sack with the product but still advertise it as USGI modular sleep system. when I asked them if I could return it they said yes but I live all the way up in Canada and I will have to pay for it my self. The women behind the phone seemed to feel it was funny that I can ripped off.

Store was very big and had a large selection of items in general, most items are aftermarket tactical things from brands like Rothco which isnt really my thing but had a fair share of surplus. In general had good deals on items, a fair bit of uncommon surplus items, and a specifically notable amount of surplus gas masks, surplus backpacks, camping gear, and survival food/drinks. Got a two man surplus french tent for $40 which is a great deal! My one large issue was that the NVA canteen I bought had a completely split bottom, but its not really their fault because its surplus and im sure they dont check every piece, either way it was only like $6-7 dollars. I definitely recommend this place and will certainly be going again to buy more assorted things.
