A very calm and clean office, professional and friendly staff. The hygentist is detailed,caring and kind. I had the best experience. My dentist whom I really appreciated retired. My experience with my dental is excellent.My initial visit consisted of x-rays and review of what they found and what they recommended.They did not push their recommendations. They just laid out the facts and let me make the necessary decisions. They even went so far as to check with my insurance to see if there would be any coverage.I had to have some caps and a repair to a bridge. They set up future appointments for the replacement of these. The replacements came in sooner than they expected, and immediately called me and had me come in ahead of my appointments which was greatly appreciated as I needed my teeth.They are very competent, and I would highly recommend them.

I am very happy to find Mai Dental and Dr. Sheoran. She is the best dentist I have ever met. She is very experienced and patient in extract my teeth and implants and is kind to make the entire operation without pain. Her assistants often call caring about my situation after surgery and answering questions. Other staff are also polite and considerate. Their operating rooms are clean and tidy for patients peace of mind and comfort. If you are looking for a dentist or dissatisfied with your current dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Sheoran to you.

I had pain and was really nervous about finding a dentist. I went on line and found Mai Dental. I called and made an apt. The front office staff are compassionate, helpful and professional. The doctors and dental assistants are wonderful. I needed three root canals. They put me at ease, and explained the procedure. I scheduled to have all three done at one apt. They made me as comfortable as possible, gave me breaks when I needed one. I never felt rushed or unimportant. The only pain during procedure was my jaw from having it opened during procedure. I’ve been going to Mai Dental for a few weeks now on a recommendation from a dear friend. So far I’ve been very pleased!!I get major anxiety from so many traumatic dental experiences in my past. Not only do I find this dentist and her staff to be very patient, gentle and understanding. But also know what theyre doing and take the time to talk to you throughly on your treatment plan so there are no surprises.I’m so grateful for them and the great work they’ve done for me so far.I would highly recommend them!! Even if $$ might be an issue. They offer payment plans should you need it.UPDATE: its been nearly four years now and I havent been able to get into this dentist for a simple cleaning ever since being referred to a periodontist which I couldnt afford nor will my insurance cover. Now Im without a dentist and without any dental care from the sheer and rude refusal from this dentist to even see me for a regular check up.

Had so much pain on one of my molars and they got me in the following day for an exam, right away did something temporary to be able to last until they had an opening to do a root canal. Amazing staff, super friendly and helpful. I will be going back to work on monday thats why I needed to get my 2 root canals, 5 filings & my cleaning done before & they were able to make it happen all within a week. Highly recommend!

The staff at Mai Dental is unparalleled. I am terrified of the dentist office and was extremely anxious upon arrival, but I was pleasantly surprised at the calming attentiveness given to me on both of my visits thus far. The staff took great care to check in with me repeatedly during my procedures to make sure I was comfortable and well. Both the doctor and staff are amazing. The office is lovely and modern and the doctor is thorough and organized. After the initial examination a full treatment plan was laid out in advance to ensure proper care. I am thrilled with my care so far. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Excellent service and care, all the ladies (Cythnia & Giselle) here are friendly and welcoming. My visit stemmed from a dental emergency and they were able to get me in ASAP. Dr. Sheoran was caring, sympathetic, listened to my input and I was very at ease during the examination.She kept me informed and gave me different options of treatment, which is very much appreciated. She informed me what was realistic when it comes to dental coverage from insurance and I was able to make the most informed decision.Also, excellent follow up service, its very nice knowing that they care to follow up after your visit to make sure everything is feeling alright. Very good experience I had my first time coming and as I continue I always get such a warm welcome. Cynthia is is the sweetest and she’s such a happy friendly welcoming receptionist as well as a kind dental assistant. I highly recommend, if you feel any pain or discomfort they do everything to make sure you feel comfortable and safe! I’m really happy I found this dentist. She’s very patient and always wants to make sure her patients are under the best care and she makes she the have a very good experience at her office. There’s a lot of dentists that they talk a lot with their staff while working in your mouth and they leave you there with your mouth open while chatting. I for sure will go back to Mai Dental Care.

Relocated from LA a looong time ago . I would travel back and forth to receive dental care from my long time dentist. Pandemic happened. I let my care go due to shut downs and stress. Fast forward I needed emergency care due to pain I was terrified of losing my tooth and with kids back in school I needed to find local care. I was weary and scared. But at Mai dental I found my my new home dentist. Kind gentle Dr and great staff, explanation of my insurance benefits and easy payment plan helped me feel comfortable. Ive been treated terrible in other dentistry in Santa Maria where they try to rush or pressure me into procedures. I had a great experience at Mai Dental. Before, Im not comfortable going to the dentist but because of my experience at their office, I didn’t mind going back for more procedure. The dentist and her assistants are very professional. They are all so friendly as well. I personally have a busy schedule but they work and coordinate with me depending on my availability. The office is also relaxing because of the soothing music. Overall, I would recommend this office because they are accommodating and they did a great job on my teeth.

I absolutely love Dr. Purnima- she is compassionate, down to earth, and a great dentist. However, the front desk staff has not given me the best service and have guided me away from this business. I have been asking to get x-rays since March 2022 because I anticipate I have cavities, but I have been met with “you were just scheduled for a cleaning. We’ll do x-rays at your next appointment”. Per the receptionist, I was likely not scheduled for x-rays due to “timing”- I guess they have too many clients. I asked the front desk person when my last x-rays were and she said 2020. She so kindly informed me that they need to be done yearly, but didn’t offer to schedule me for an x-ray appointment even though I was 2 years behind. I told the receptionist I would like to be scheduled for a cleaning and x-rays and that if that was not possible I’d be seen at another place. She said, “okay”. With that being said, I will be attending an office who will meet my needs and treat my cavities instead of waiting to get a full check up in 2023.

I am very happy with the services I have received so far. Staff is kind and super clean. The process they are following during our current Covid pandemic is super efficient. The number one thing that separates them from other dental clinics I have been to is their follow up calls. Shows they do really care. Anything is much more enjoyable with a positive attitude and this staff sure knows the meaning of that. Quite a serene atmosphere and tall glass windows to stare at nature, which I appreciated while getting work done. I hope they are aware of this! They were very helpful explaining what our treatments and options were, but most importantly, the suggestion of what needed to be taken care of immediately vs. what was less imperative to fix. I hadn’t been to a dentist in quite some time and began experiencing some dental pain. I saw some great reviews about Mai Dental and decided to give them a try. It was a weekend so I tried booking an appointment online. I got a call first thing Monday morning to confirm an appointment. All forms can be filled online which makes it super convenient so you can have all that done before your appointment. The office is very calming and the staff super friendly. Dr Sheoran was very thorough in explaining what was causing my pain and best course of action. I had 3 wisdom teeth and a molar extracted and Dr Sheoran made sure I had no discomfort through the whole experience. I didn’t even feel the shots because the area was numbed beforehand. I followed their aftercare instructions and have not had any pain or issues. If you need any dental care and have been putting it off, as I had, I highly recommend you visit Mai Dental Care.

Being a true dental phobic (horrible experience as a child) my visits to the dentist are long and far between. I knew I needed a dentist who would not roll their eyes at my fierce anxiety as that, in the past, has immediately stopped the chance of any return visits. Im am SO relieved to have found Dr. Sheoran! Shes very personable, easy to talk to, has a great sense of humor and above all, she is kind! Mai Dental was a really Great experience I am very surprised of how fast I was able to get my root canal done. Not only was that done fast but it was done very professional and painless. And for me I’ve had a previous very bad dental experience (at a different office) so I was very nervous as anxious about going in to have work done but Mai Dental Reassured me that everything was gonna be okay and sure enough It’s been 2 days since my procedure and no pain at all! They were very gentle during my procedure I really Appreciated the doctor and staff everybody was very professional and very compassionate. I will be referring patients to them from here on out.

I recently received dental benefits from my employer and found Mai dental through the participating providers list. I went through the google reviews and decided to make an appointment. I had a lot of old fillings that fell out and knew i probably needed at least one root canal. I am not a fan of the dentist. They were able to schedule my exam and consultation quickly. At the appointment, they diagnosed what i already knew i needed done. They were able to provide me with a plan that addressed my oral care concerns. They were also able to get me in for my root canal, deep cleaning and fillings that following week (Christmas week). During the root canal I was nervous, but the doctor and staff ensured that i was comfortable and even provided me with a blanket when i got cold. I definitely recommend Mai Dental

Oh My Gosh just walking in you get the warm welcoming feeling. And when she was seen my Daughter felt comfortable that she was excited to come back. So we came back to pull 2 teeth out. The best dentist EVER ! I got 2 crowns, a few filling and a deep cleaning and it was pain free and fast . I’ve worked at 3 different dentistry’s & an assistant for 4-5 years now and have never meet a dentist like her ! she made me feel comfortable at her office explained everything and was amazing to her staff. Bonus I’ve NEVER seen such amazing pricing . She didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for all my work I had to double check with them if it was right . 10/10 recommend

Alright - I know youve heard it all before. I havent been in ages... Im afraid of needles....I have a couple of cavities.....Im embarrassed because my teeth are ugly and need to be cleaned....But honestly - despite your fears or phobias - *this* is the place you want to book for your dental needs. This whole clinic will make you feel *human*.I know I couldnt say much yesterday during my appointment because I just got x4 shots of anesthetic and talking was a silly endeavor at the time, but --- I am incredibly grateful for everything Dr. Sheoran and her Crew have done for me - and they were so quick!I put on a good show but Im _petrified_ of needles - especially going into my mouth! I was treated like family and immediately put at ease through out the whole process. Really enjoyed coming to this Mai dental they where easy to work with my insurance. I went right away to my appointment and got the procedure that I needed done. The only thing was difficult to understand what they where doing to me before procedure .They did ask me how I was doing kept in touch while I was healing which made me feel a sense of relief .They-care about there patients. (deep cleaning/tooth extraction) Dr Sheoran was great at addressing my situation and taking into account my medical issues( high BP/infection history) she took care to ensure as little pain possible during the procedure which went well staff follow it up with recovery instructions and called Next day to check-in to see how I was doing. Mai Dental has thus far been one of the best dental experiences I’ve had . I had recently moved back to Santa Maria and hadn’t found a dentist and had procrastinated, I ended up having severe pain in my tooth and my face was swelling . I contacted Mai Dental and they were able to get me in immediately, the receptionist had so much sympathy for me that you don’t normally find in people. Once arriving at my dental appointment I treated very well by everyone and found out I needed a root canal and had an infection . Once the Dr. was able to relieve my pain by numbing my gums and giving me antibiotics she was able to go over treatment plans with me. Mai Dental made it easy for me as they have several different financing options. Later that day and the next day the Dr called to check on me . In my experience that has not always been the case with Dr’s. I am still undergoing treatment with Mai Dental as I needed more work, but I wouldn’t want to work with any other dentist again. They are kind, compassionate, skilled and thorough. If any one is looking for a great dentist and has had bad experiences before I urge you to go to Mai Dental.

Not going to lie, this was the first dentist I’ve been to in an awfully long time. I was very nervous about going to a dentist but Dr. Sheroan and her staff made the visit amazing! The staff here are very inviting and polite and the office is so incredibly comfy and cozy. This office has a nice modern vibe to it, clean and simple. The rooms have a very beautiful view of the indoor garden not like traditional dental offices that just look like you’re in a torture chamber. I hope this review catches the eyes of someone very nervous to see the dentist. After years of putting off dental work, I finally took the plunge to get my teeth fixed. I had a tooth extraction and synthetic bone graft. My biggest fear was pain and the needle from the numbing shot. I literally felt no pain. I was actually shocked when the Doctor said she had already given me the shot. Day 4 of healing and the worst part is limited food. The pain is managed entirely by medicine and while no one wants to get dental work...this experience has made me motivated to return. The Doctor is patient and does everything possible to ensure youre not in pain. The entire staff is kind and really makes you feel like they care. While I was embarrassed by the state of my teeth, I received zero judgment from any of the staff. Ill be going back to continue my dental work and I hope this review encourages someone else to take the plunge.

My daughter Pearl got her wisdom teeth pulled here early spring of this year and she loves Dr. Sheoran as she really cares for her patients. She felt no pain whatsoever while getting her teeth pulled and had a massage and blankets while getting it too. She was also permitted to bring her headphones so she can listen to music during the procedure. Before going to Mai Dental she had a bad experience with another dental care in our area but when we met Dr. Sheoran she felt more comfortable. We had a wonderful experience. Due to our work schedules, we had to come in on a Saturday. That availability is hard to find in medical offices! We also had no child care, so our young children were with us. There were toys to occupy them, and the staff even helped keep an eye on them and showed them what was happening with Mommy and Daddy. Dr. Sheoran is very gentle and took the time to make our daughter feel comfortable. So let me start by saying as a young adult I had the worst experience in my life with a particular Dentist that traumatized me for the rest of my life to where I’d have to be give a volume at the worst point of my tooth having to be completely Removed like put to sleep and just have my tooth pulled out Instead of treating it to save them it. As a young adult that is a horrific feeling to have to fear. Recently I broke my tooth in half on vacation in San Diego and was in terrible pain in tears I looked for a emergency Dentist in Santa Maria where I live because my vacy was gonna be cut short due to my tooth until I saw Dr.Mai and just took a chance. I emailed her office and immediately A woman name Jazmine called me on a Saturday and was the nicest person ever. She emailed me a form to feel out and in seconds Dr. Mai sent me antibiotics to a pharmacy in San Diego I was i couldn’t believe that they care about me and didn’t even have me as a patient yet. I explained how traumatized I was and she made me so comfortable. Quickly after I came in to my appointment so scared in tears . Jasmine has been my biggest Suport. I was recommended to Dr Sheoran by my sister. I have Invisalign and I was afraid how that would affect my braces if I needed any work done. I ended up needing a lot of fillings. Before Dr. Sheoran did any work on my teeth she checked with my orthodontist to make sure it wouldnt affect my braces or cost me more for new retainers. Dr. Sheoran takes her time and makes sure you are doing okay through the whole procedure. I did have to wait for a bit due to her being with another patient. I didn’t mind though because the girls let you know ahead of time. While I waited Cynthia offered to put something on for me to watch. I think it’s great because other places just sit you and leave you there. All the staff are very easy going, friendly, and welcoming. Most importantly they take the time to remember you, but I don’t mean just your name I mean any interaction they have had with you. After I got off my parents dental insurance plan about five years ago I was responsible for choosing a general dentist. Over the course of those five years I was constantly changing dentists. Recently in March I was experiencing swollen gums and pain. The last dentist I had seen was not open the following day. I have not been to the dentist in 6 years. My original dentist had retired and I did not really care for the dentist that took over his practice. So hence, the 6 year hiatus . I had a cracked tooth that needed attention pretty quick. Finally got the courage to call Mai dental after seeing the commercial on TV. I was promptly scheduled an appointment . Upon entering the office you are greeted warmly and kindly treated. All of the staff is just kind and emphathetic. Dr Sheoran is the best. She is soft spoken and I trusted her immediately. She takes care to ask how your pain level is as well, no jabbing with the lidocaine . Really didn’t even feel it. They also offer Sat appointments which is very helpful as I’m in the medical profession and it’s hard to get a day off. Dr Sheoran also takes you in her office after your evaluation and shows you the breakdown of what your insurance covers and how much you will owe out of pocket. My friend told me about Mia Dental Care and she spoke so highly of Dr. Sheoran that I thought I’d give it a try. I started coming here in December of 2018 and it’s the best thing I could have done. Prior to coming to Mia Dental Care I had just started going to another dentist and he did not do a good job. Dr. Sheoran not only listened to me but she immediately set to fixing what had gone wrong with the other dentist. Dr. Sheoran is gental, patient, attentive, and she genuinely cares about her patients. Dr. Sheoran’s staff is equally amazing, they are all friendly and as attentive and caring as Dr. Sheoran.In regard to the work I’ve had done here, so far I’ve had a cleaning, some fillings, a root canal, an extraction and I’m going to keep coming back for anything that I need in the future. I recently moved to central coast from San Diego and I just feel blessed to be here. My move here was abrupt because I got offered a job as an Engineer that I decided to accept. But moving here so suddenly meant I could not keep my dental appointment with my dentist to fill my cavities. So here I was in a new city filled with excitement and cavity pain at the same time. I spoke with my co workers and they recommended few dentists but when I called it was hard to get an appointment right away. So I decided to rely on oracle GOOGLE and found a place called Mai Dental Care in Santa Maria where Dr. Sheoran was able to see me right away. Now I rarely write reviews but my experience was such that I felt it needed to be shared. The office was new, clean and it looked nice and they had a sports magazine so I was satisfied. What I did like was that their patient forms were simple and you filled them out on an IPAD.After all the XRays were taken Dr. Sheoran came in and conducted a comprehensive dental exam. She reviewed the XRays with me and agreed that those cavities needed attention immediately. I have been to many dentist before but this was the first for me. I did not feel any pain during the procedure and afterwards over the next few weeks there was little to no sensitivity in my newly filled teeth. And now I dont even think about that tooth.As an engineer I am taught to think critically and I have to say her skill in using those dental instruments is amazing. When I went back for a follow up she asked me about my gum health and I said they bleed sometimes. She recommended a deep cleaning because normal cleaning had been insufficient in my case because I had deep gum pockets where food can find a hiding place. I decided to trust her and had deep cleaning done and now my gums look healthy and they are not swollen. When I floss there is no more bleeding. In just over a month my oral health has improved dramatically and that is because of Dr. Sheoran. So if you live in Santa Maria, nipomo, Pismo, or anywhere is SLO and are in need of a dentist I would say go see her.Thank you so much Dr. Sheoran
