Had an amazing shopping experience with Alice from customer service. She helped me find everything I wanted and beyond. Have never experienced such wonderful assistance! Found wonderful items that fit perfectly. Cant wait to shop there again..and normally I HATE to shop for clothes! The only really nice department store in town is better than I ever realized! And they have a free on site stylist too if you really need help! Best kept secret in town!

The employees at Macy’s do not present a professional demeanor consistent with what I have come to expect from a quality merchant. If they even have a dress code no one seems to be aware of it. The last time we were in there it looked like it was being looted.

Raphael Hopkins exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I had a pick up along with a return to make. He went beyond his job description to process my return in the pouring down rain while I waited in my car. He had to run back and forth about six times. Raphael was hands down the most friendly employee I’ve ever encountered at Macy’s and otherwise. Thank you Raphael!!

Macys is located in the Santa Maria Town Center on Broadway & Main Streets. Plenty of parking in two well-lit three-story parking structures. The store is located on the north-east side of the mall. Its spacious, clean, well organized & stocked with the best brands of clothing, jewelry, footwear, houseware & home furnishings. The staff is courteous, friendly and ready to assist with your shopping needs. Nice department store.

Went to Macys Santa Maria, ca store to buy foundation makeup for a wedding. The store clerk tested on my face makeup which she sold me $60. When I was getting ready for the wedding, discovered the makeup was two shades too dark in the Sunlight. When trying to return it for exchange sales clerk told me they didnt have my skin cor, ivory, then she told me it was past 30 days and no return would be given even though Macys employees sold me the wrong color.

I am really impressed with how this business has held on over the years, It is good to shop at a place that is still recognizable. Although it did decline in appearance after COVID-19 with apparel being disarrayed throughout locations. It has now been in a better appearance. Affordable to purchase items now despite the inflation hike. It is still a good place to shop.

Went in today browsed around. First thing I noticed was it was a little unorganized and messy. Several employees past us and didnt even acknowledge us. Thank you Kevin or Kent for noticing we needed help with the bedsheets and the gal with short hair in the shoe department that sweetly greeted us this morning! Thank you. Those two really made the store a little brighter!

It is unacceptable that no one is monitoring the curbside pickup parking spaces. I recently went to collect my order, but all the curbside pickup spots were occupied, and the drivers were nowhere to be found. They simply parked their cars and went shopping, without any regard for others who needed those spots. This lack of accountability cannot be tolerated by the store managers, it affects business.

Great service at Macy’s on 6/9/21! I’m terrible with names but she was a younger woman who helped me around 2pm. I wasn’t sure which brand to go with for makeup primer and she was very honest with me about which ones she prefers and which ones she doesn’t and why. I explained to her my skin type and what I’m needing and she walked me over to her favorite that would also work for me. She immediately rang me up when I was ready and was so friendly and held great conversation! On top of the great service she gave me a ton of samples so I could try various primers in case I didn’t like the one I bought. Honestly probably the best experience I’ve had at Macy’s!

I was in the shower dept. last week looking for alethic shoes...out of all the brands and styles, (which were many), they only had 1 pair in my size or the 1/2 size up...8.5. It is not an unusual size.

Very orderly. Great merchandise.I needed a new coffee pot. I am tired of using pods. Macys had better choices than any of the places I had been. I purchased Cuisinart Automatic Grind and Brew. It was a bit heavy for me. They carried it out to my car.( I am loving it!) Great experience.

The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because of the young woman at the makeup counter. I believe her name was Whitney. Very friendly and helpful. I would give 0 stars to the sales rep where the glasses are. That is the reason I went to Macys to purchase glasses. I was looking for a good 5 minutes and she never looked up and acknowledged me. Another girl came over to her and neither one looked even though I looked at them because I wanted to try on some glasses. Then to make it more awkward loss prevention came over to pretend to look at glasses. Ive worked retail for over 10 years and know who is who. I was targeted because I didnt look like I could buy. It was Saturday, May 8th at 7pm. I suggest the store manager figure out who was working and take care of this. Lost a huge sale.

The Macys experience depends on how youre dressed/look. Walking in the store thru the makeup dept. is either a good or bad experience. Nothing really in between. Ive noticed on several occasions that depending on how Im dressed will determine if I get greeted & approached or straight ignored. Its actually very disheartening.

This could be a very nice store. Staff is very nice and helpful but the store was very dirty and bathrooms were dirty. Kids department clothes all over the floor. When I used the restroom there was someone cleaning and she actually said “don’t use that stall. I had to really go to the bathroom. It was not a good experience. Very nice things but dirty store.

Shocked at how spacious the store now is. They now even have furniture and beds being sold. The isle dont seems as overwhelming as before COVID that you could barley walk or see the clothing. And the kitchen ware is not overflowing with stock cluttering walking paths.

Spent over an hour in lingerie and never saw a sales person. The sign in the fitting room said to put unwanted items on the rack outside the fitting room. Didnt exist. The person who finally checked me out asked if I found everything I needed and was astounded I said no. There were 2 clerks at checkout trying to talk each customer into signing up for a credit card which added an additional 20 minutes to waiting in line. The goal wasnt checking out customers in a timely manner, but hustling credit cards. I drove an hour to get to Macys. Never again.

I went into Macys Santa Maria and I was shocked at how very little they have. Santa Maria is growing and they really need to offer more things. There really was not much of a choice. I was disappointed. Children were running around the store, their Mothers were know where to be seen. I had a good experience. I went there for jeans. I had purchased Macys jeans in the past and I like the fit and you cant beat the price. I again was happy with the jeans. I bought 3 pairs and a jean jacket. Only thing I didnt like was at the dressing rooms there isnt any where to sit down. My husband took me there for my birthday and had to remain standing the entire time I tried stuff on. He had knee replacement surgery so standing for long periods of time is difficult. Im sure other people feel the same way.

The clothing areas were a mess, floors full of clothes, especially the mens department. The womens bathroom was filthy. The down escalator was not working (was told it hadnt for months), and I had to help 2 elderly people down it. I felt dirty just being in the store, left without using gift certificates, and my husband was in disbelief at the clothing all over floors. Wont be back for a long time, would rather go to Kohls which is much cleaner.

I have been a Macy’s shopper since 1982 when my significant other took me to Carmel for my first Macy’s experience…and have maintained a long, happy and productive relationship with so many Macy’s since then!I turned my mom onto it when in New Orleans and some of our best times together before she died were at Macy’s! The Clinique Counter at Macy’s was always our go to spot to meet up for years if we went to different departments! My daughter and I have carried on that tradition over the years!I became an online shopper during the height of the Pandemic but back to in-store again! I love their coupons, their sales, the service and the choices. I’ve learned about Macy’s Backstage and some of the deals in those departments are incredible!I never found a Macy’s I did not like to be totally honest! When some of my favorite, smaller Macys were forced to close I suffered anticipatory grief and post-closure sadness as I am a creature of habit, as well as getting to know many staff well, also long timers!If you haven’t shopped at Macy’s do consider a trip soon!!!

Just terrible. Racks look like a second hand store. Messy . And clerks are very unfriendly. Also my service dog caught her back foot on the escalator, bleeding, I asked where the restroom was. My poor dog was in pain. Clerks didnt seem to care, and didnt even give me the correct directions.She lots two back nails that day and some skin. I am not sure if her nails will ever grow back.Macys is an old building and their escalators arent up go par. I will NEVER go back. They will be out of business soon there anyway. I saw only one customer besides myself. You would think that they would have time to make their racks welcoming to the eye.

The lack of anything in here is sad, Not a good selection at all, Customer service could use some help .Hard to find anyone on the floor .Had a hard time getting simple questions answered most of the help did not know where or what merchandise was sold in their store. Outstanding management team and customer service. Ive always had top notch experiences at this Macys even over some of the larger stores in bigger cities. Ive even had an employee get me a chair to wait in line and then ring up lots of product in the clothing dept bc I was on crutches. Not necessary, and I had refused, but it sure was nice to sit down after overshopping on crutches (not recommended, but sometimes you just have to get out in covid times!)Id rather shop at this Macys than others bc I know the customer service element is there and not always at other locations.You can also do online ordering and have it shipped to your house or do curbside pickup if youd rather have more social distancing. They are very good at keeping the store clean and maintaining high standards of covid protocol in order to make you feel safe as a consumer.Happy shopping!

For our small town its one of the best places to get designer clothes That ONLY-- Macys and Nordstrom sell at a hugely discounted price. They just constantly and consistently have a giant selection of all clearance clothing up to 90% off! I got an American Rag knit oversized sweater for $11 after tax when the retail was for $78! You gotta go!

Second, I watched a manager have a discussion about hours with a potential new employee on the sales floor. very bad taste! We went to Macys to have my daughters makeup done for prom. As a mom, I am always concerned that it will be overdone. However, Lindsay in the Urban Decay department was beyond amazing. She listened to my daughter, actually looked at her ideas and went from there. From the foundation (which was a perfect match even when we went into direct sunlight) to the eyeshadow and lipstick, it was perfection. Lindsay went above and beyond what we expected. She somehow was able to please both my daughter and me - not an easy task when we both have totally different ideas of what looks good. Thank you Lindsay!
