We had a great experience with Nancy in the furniture department. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy. We had a small glitch about the mattress we had originally ordered, and needed to re order. Nancy responded to us while on her vacation time and reassured us and set things up perfectly to be handled when she got back. They were handled and with a great result. She has been a great help and communicator. We would be happy to recommend Macys and Nancy for future business.

Was there for the Presidents’ Day weekend sale and got Lucky Brand jeans on sale for 40% plus a T-shirt top. Service was very friendly. Michele was one of the service persons at the checkout and I had some issues with a Macy’s card that I had it used in a while and she was able to resolve that quickly for me.

So disappointed. Macys used to be all about customer service. What happened to good old fashioned retail customer service. We went to the shoe department and tried to get some help.Basically Macys has turned into a small step above Walmart. We asked someone for help and they told us they worked in the athletic shoe area and they couldn’t get us a shoe in another department to try on in our size. So we got in line at a cashier to try to get help.Once we got to the register, the employee did a nice job trying to help us and ended buying shoes. But in the end, Macy’s management needs to have at least 2 employees working in the shoe department so one can work the register and one can assist customers.Some might say this is one of my more harsh reviews, but 30 years ago I was a Sales Manager at a Macys store in Northern California. I guess retailing has changed.

Really poor customer services and management decision in the Mens Clothing section!!! My saga starts at the Mission Viejo Macys Mens Store as they referred us over the South Coast Plaza Mens Store because a Michael Kor black jacket and pant was in stock there. Mission Viejo did not have the on-sale item. Nancy in Mission Viejo printed stock listing of items to take with us. We struggled to find items in SCP, but found them. Sales rep (unshaven by the way!!) said that he would honor price if I had picture of just ended sale. It so happens I had it!! After trying on suit, manager came over and said he could not honor price and that I would have to go back to MV to speak with them about it. Of course, MV closes in 15 minutes and we are 25 minutes away. Way to go SCP!! Your customer service sucks!!

I had such a wonderful shopping experience with Lisa Joy in the makeup department. She was extremely knowledgeable of all of the different products; even those that were in the specialized areas such as Mac. I went in looking for an eyeshadow pallet because I wanted to get something to use for different occasions. I dont know anything about makeup other than putting on mascara and lip gloss. Lisa took the time to educate me on multiple products and show me how to apply them. She even had me apply it myself to fully understand. Absolutly amazing?! She is very passionate about makeup and beauty products. I am grateful for her because no one has ever shown me how to do any of the stuff she taught me. I highly recommend her to help you or even do your makeup. I left Macys with a beautiful fresh face that I received compliments all day long! Thank you Lisa! I will come back to see you again soon!!

I loved the deals I got at Macys, but the cashiers sent me back and forth, and between the two cashiers, they both had issues with customers that took forever! I had to go to a third cashier to purchase my items! Macys for being such a high-end store, the womens restrooms are atrocious! They were dirty and unkempt, missing hooks to put your purse,missing toilet seat covers, things were missing or broken! The restrooms need a total overhaul and beautification, not to mention employees to keep up the toiletries and cleanliness!

Also, I really want to mention Saras name, the beautifyl lady working in Lancom section in cosmetic department. She is really nice and an expert in her department. I had a great experience with her in both of the times I shopped at Lancome. I bought very good stuff and received lots of gifts as well

I’ve been coming for years to Macy’s and I’ve never had a a bad experience till today. I came to the jewelry department looking to buy a new piece for myself. I understood it was busy because of the holiday weekend and I’ve worked in retail so I knew I would have to wait a bit to be seen. I waited by the chain that I wanted to try on and was acknowledged by the nearest sales associate. There was a couple that was ahead of me who took about 30 minutes to finish a transaction but I still decided to wait. During this time, another customer approached wanting to be helped by an associate but the lady I was waiting for told her I was in line before her. Another sales associate became available and asked who was next and I politely raised my hand. The lady who I was waiting for blatantly ignored me and claimed the person after me was next to be helped and I tried to refute it saying I was next and have been waiting to be seen and this associate basically shrugged me off. 10 minutes later the original associate that I was waiting to help turned around and was surprised that i was there and said “Oh my god. I’m just finishing up” and I told her I was waiting for a very long time for what I was looking for help with. I finally got seen by another associate who was rude when my brother asked if she was available.I’ve shopped here before and always have had good shopping experiences but was met with extremely unprofessional jewelry department employees. I don’t see myself buying jewelry from here again.

I stopped by to make a payment in the clothing department on the first floor. I could not see any cashier clerks anywhere for a good while. When at last I seen one and processed my payment I asked her to do a print out to see the minimum payment due. She went on and read out loud my TOTAL balance and exclaimed what did I buy to have such a big bill. I kindly told her I did not want to discuss my personal business. When I was about to make my payment,She frantically said I could not pay with credit! And I had to correct her assumption and told her I was paying with debit. Very unprofessional if you ask me and felt a little discriminated and disappointed with her remarks. Older female maybe middle eastern.

Love shopping at Macys! Im not one to keep up with the fashion frenzy or even close to following trendy styles, name brands, or seasonal outfits, etc., but the store carries quality products. On occasion Ill see some not so good quality and the price do not match quality so pass on those. Five stars if the store provides the same spacing of clothes that are on sale similar to regularly priced clothes - one can only wish... Most of the representatives are definitely helpful.Three stars because I totally missed one payment deadline date and when I called/stopped by to ask for forgiveness, no mercy and that one delayed payment impacted my credit score - shame on whoever they have working on reporting to credit bureau(crazy). Lesson learned I know.

Good selection and great service. We have never had a long wait to pay or get help. Great bargains in their clearance areas. The store feels like its returned to normal from the pandemic and thats a compliment. They have a good assortment of seasonal and holiday gifts that change quickly and the displays change often. The parking garage is conveniently located just across from the store which is very welcome on hot or rainy days.

I’ve been a Macys customer and platinum card holder for more than 30 years!!I bought a bed in June… not my first bed that I bought at Macys not even my 3rd not to mention couches, chairs, dining room tables ..I was told that it was double points!I was told that the box spring was free!! Neither was true!! If bait and switch is the new norm for Macys or it was a massive miscommunication. Phone calls that were hours long and a manager that was unsympathetic and actually not very nice treated me like a problem to get rid of and not a customer they wanted to keep … and employees that were in the background laughing..my intention is to tell my story everywhere and to everyone .. and never return or buy anything online or in the store.Again ….Jennifer Chavez

I recently shopped in the Intimates Department at Macy’s in Shops at Mission Viejo. I was looking for new bras. I was fortunate to have Kerry Roberts’s assistance in finding my way through all the offerings in this department to a couple of bras that are working well for me. I had not shopped for bras since before the pandemic, and there were so many brands and styles to choose from. I really needed help. Ms.Roberts measured me for size and recommended bras that she thought would work well.I was fortunate to find Kerry and her expert knowledge of her stock and her fitting experience.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the treatment I received at this location. A women in the Burberry fragrance section was disrespectful and disgusting towards me. She was passive aggressive and refused to let me smell the samples. I planned on testing a sample and she got in my way and continued to explain that only “special people” can purchase that item. I’m horrified that in this day and age she is discriminating individuals in her own workplace. She was consistently insinuating that a person that looks like me cannot be shopping for designer fragrances. This employee was a short middle aged woman with dark black/red ombré hair. I didn’t get to shop comfortably after that. This is unacceptable and unprofessional Macys. How disappointing it was for a location where I shop at frequently to be this repulsive.

I came in today June 15, 2023 Thursday for my Shiseido facial and Azita the Shiseido Manager attended me for my facial. It was very good and relaxing, my face became plump and glowing with the products she used on me. I feel so good about my skin! She sold me products that fit my skin problems and also gave me small gifts and samples and a lipstick and a hug! Shes adorable and very professional. She is an expert at what shes doing specially for skin! I am very satisfied and I came out with glass skin glowing and im super amazed!

Bought a couch & sofa 01/03/22 & until today they made three deliveries with the wrong color. I ask for the right color & they do not take the responsibility to assist or ship the correct color. Manager referred me to customer service, but customer service either has a long hold or promises are made & no one delivers. The only assistance I have is from the salesperson I purchased from & she is awesome, but at her level she cannot do anything because the warehouse is not in her control. My next step is to go all the way with my compliant so that they fix their issues.

This is close to none one of the best Macys in the Southern Region of the Country, the next would be South Coast Plaza, then, Sherman Oaks. Very close to what they refer to as a Premier Store Macys and its because of the variety of name brands that have their product in store. During Covid-19 - the curb-side pickup was very well managed and again the selection of my most favorite brands all available. Hello to Vanessa at the MAC counter she is the best in the business.

Every purchased here be prepare to waste 20 mins of your time over simple over the counter purchases. I only went here once & I will never come back to this location. This store is a complete nightmare. The 1st time I went there was for a outfit return that I exclusively told the associate Farzaneh, to refund as store credit & not back into my debit card as Im going to go shop some more. I must of repeated myself 5 times to her & she very stupidly refunded everything to my debit card. She tried to call Mgr Shauna who never responded via walkie. She showed up 20 mins after. Never apologized & instead was very condescending towards me, as if Me being upset that thanks to their Stupidity, & negligence Im here wastimg my time. She couldnt cancel the transaction bc they refunded my debit card. When I told her I needed compensation for my waste of time, she very inappropriately said if Im a Macys card holder & I said yes Im a Platinum Macys Card Holder, she then said that I have coupons there. I told her Im not wasting my coupons for their mistakes. She ended up giving me $10 macys compensation, in her rude Demeanor. I then went to children dept & Jila was a complete nightmare. I wanted a $110 macys gift card to purchase my Childs clothes bc I did not want to use my Macys card. I wanted to use my 25% coupon & thats the other form.of payment to use my macys 25% coupon. I was in a hurry & told her. She took 30 mins of my time, kept calling a manager over something so miniscule & the manager never showed up. She then canceled the transaction AFTER I had asked her NOT TO CANCEL the transaction bc Im running late for my kids School thanks to her. She kept harrassing me going back & forth with forcing me to use my Macys card & I kept telling her NO. I told her to add $110 to a macys gift card & that Ill pay with my debit card. She was completely useless. It wasnt until another Childrens sales associate came over & did everything for me in less than 5 mins. Jila, is completely useless & on purpose disrespects customers time. I will never go to this macys. This macys is by far the worst macys Ive ever been to. Ive never experienced such incompetence, like this from any macys.

Came here to buy a suit, first hour went by and there was no-one to help with it. Then a lady came and after checking my size she left and found other people instead of looking for a shirt as she said. Nothing fitted there and the prices are really high for the quality of the suits. But there is a shop MAX in the same center they had perfect prices, extremely nice staff who know what they are doing and found me perfect full suit just in a couple of minutes.

I ordered two beds on special at Macys both it had complimentary box springs with the offer. When they delivered my beds they didnt deliver one of the box springs. We were on the phone with Macys when the delivery men were there. They said that it was their mistake obviously and they would call us back to get it scheduled properly at no charge. We never heard from them. We had to call back five more time on hold for 45 minutes to an hour each time. Finally someone told us that because the special was over we would have to pay for the box springs. I was livid and ask to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was helpful and said that that was incorrect information however my card was charged yet again when she set up the new delivery date In essence me paying for the bed twice. Its been 3 days and we still have no resolution. Macys has gone downhill and I will never spend my hard-earned money there again. It was not our mistake all we did was purchased from them which most people are delighted when somebody purchases merchandise from them. Not Macys

The coats were on sale which made it a great trip. I am exceptionally happy after going to one of their major competitors who didnt help us at all and left us with no choices. Plain vanilla department store. Mass-produced vanilla, not small batch artisan vanilla. Which is Macys problem in a nut shell. Shopping at Macys is not an experience. The reintroduction of Toys R US inside Macys is the typical Macys misfire. Tons of free earned media build-up on local news programs, then just toys pushed into a corner of the third floor, not even a minimal attempt at creative merchandising. Macys Washington Square in New York writes a lot of checks that none of its branch stores seem to be able to cash. Macys top executives need to try reading a book about Harry Selfridge then go back to the drawing board.

Nancy was so awesome when we went to buy a much needed upgrade in mattress. We tried two different purple mattresses but ended returning both. Nancy was helpful in getting the return done and setting up the return and delivery of our new one. Mattress shopping was super stressful but Nancy made it go smoothly. It is Macys, what eless you can say about them. They are hiring lots of very old senior citizens who are pass working time more than 10 years ago. You are asking why??? Because they are already getting some money from SSS and getting health insurance, and if Macys has too pay anything it will not be much. Beside they are paying at minimum wage which no one elses would work for. I feel very sorry to see the people who should enjoy there time with grand children or there husband or wife, to be working there to make sure the CEO and chairman to get a fatter bonus and stock to go up.

I went in on presidents day to look at mattresses. Stephen is your guy. He gave us a good deal and even directed us to sleep number since we wanted to make an informed decision. I went back a week later to purchase and talked to Kal (i think was his name) and he wanted to charge me $600 extra after telling him what I was originally quoted. When I said no, he sighed, rolled his eyes, and walked away. He wasnt directly rude verbally, nor did we argue but his attitude was unprofessional. I ended up back with Stephen, we chatted and cracked a few jokes and I walked away happy with a new mattress. If you are looking for a new bed, regardless of the price, ask for Stephen. He is a genuine individual looking out for the customer.

I went with my girlfriend the other day to go and look for a dress to Winter Formal and while they did have quite a few dresses. A SHEER NIGHTMARE! The branch located inside the Shops at Mission Viejo has no proper signage to inform you that there are 2 Macys buildings, no employees to answer any of your questions. You have to leave the wrong Macys, drive around and find another parking to enter the Macys that has the same items in the newspaper. After having to walk the equivalent of an Ikea store, you get your items, pair them with the coupons Macys sent to your name in the mail, but youre denied the discounts because those prices were already low, you failed to read the small print. The old man with British accent was extremely rude, no greetings at all and constantly throwing his scanner at the counter making loud noises to show how much he did not want to work. When processing our coupon he said HE messed up and the coupon could not be applied. What? If YOU messed up shouldnt you try again? My wife got mad and said fine we are not buying anything since the coupon doesnt work, then he started to give us all kind of attitudes. First of all, I’m changing, get out. Secondly, what’s it to you? Get out! I also experienced not a single person in the entire 3 stories of Macy’s asking me if I needed help. I’m no fashionista and I specifically went to Macy’s to be helped in finding the right suite. All I witnessed were ladies standing around, gossiping, and extremely rude staff.Get a clue Macy’s. People come to you for a service and put up with the prices because of the typically outstanding service. Well this is why your shutting down. Went to big a suit on Black Friday and not one person was working in the department to help out. Then I was told they do not have a tailor to measure you and to ensure proper fit. This Macys is divided into two locations in the mall. The first and larger location is three floors and connects to the parking garage. This section has two floors filled with clothing for women, perfume and cosmetics. The third floor has housewares as well as bedding. The second store which is middle of the way down the mall is a large mens store with a wide selection of Alfani, Calvin Klein, Tommy, Nike and Under Armour brands. Come and visit as the sales and pricing is quite competitive and there is plenty of parking at the mall.

Do NOT buy online and return to store!! Took me 30 minutes to return one pair of shoes! They sent me going around the store in circles to return my online purchase. You have to go to shoes dept to return shoes, no we cannot process your return, go try cloth dept, cloth depts counters are empty, then go to the corner and find customer service counter, then got sent back to shoes dept.

Was weird seeing half the store empty and blocked off by huge room dividers /barriers. Other than that, it was cool, lots of mens clothes to choice a fly outfit.
