Quick and easy. Brought in my own computer, but needed a hard drive replaced. Took about a week and even got my old computer transferred over with out a hitch! Great customer service, and couldnt beat the price! Love my new computer and how quick and easy it runs!

I would recommend this business, HIGHLY! Their communication was great, my new Mac is exactly as expected and it shipped and arrived way faster than anticipated. They even let me know, ahead of time, when it would arrive so that I could make sure it didnt sit on my front porch for longer than needed. PLUS I saved a good chunk of change! I highly recommend MacPro-LA. I was recommended to have MacPro-La service my computer several years ago. They did an excellent job servicing my issues. They were very communicative and timely with the service. I after sometime my computer was old and run down and I needed a to get a new one. I chose to go back and get a refurbished computer from MPLA. A few months after my purchase of my refurbished computer I had an issue with it. I informed them of my issue and they took it back and completely took care of the issue. Ive had it for a few years now and no issues. Top tier service and professionalism every time.

So I called Ray, told him I was looking for a specific build on a 2020 iMac 27 5K retina. He had exactly what I needed and fixed me up right away. Made sure the iMac was packed and shipped asap and I had the computer in a few days. Perfectly pacckaged, and with a brand new keyboard and mouse ( something I have never gotten from Other online mac vendors ). The iMac fit in perfectly with my two iMac workflow. I have been a customer since they opened and have consistently recommended them to friends and family. I’ve been going to Ray for years. It’s been over 3 weeks and I always get a worker saying they will call me back. I’ve left several messages and no one has responded. I use my laptop for work and have been unable to work because of it. I brought my laptop in for a keyboard cleaning and to check it and I still haven’t received a response.

I took my hard drive in for a diagnosis, expecting it back in 3 days. However, a week passed without any updates. Even after multiple calls, all I reached was voicemail. Frustrated, I decided to pick it up myself. While the technician apologized, the conversation was marred by microaggressions. When inquiring about recovery costs, I received vague responses like expensive. Only after insisting did I get a clear, numeric answer. Whether unconscious bias or not, the whole experience here left me feeling as if my business wasn’t wanted. I will never come back.

The pros at MacPro-LA know what theyre doing, and they dont release a product until it is absolutely done right. The aging chip in my 2014 iMac prevented me from opening the newest Photoshop and other updated applications. Tired of waiting for Apple to release a new iMac model, I turned to MacPro. They provided a 2019 model featuring the needed chip, and beefed up with more Memory and Storage. And they took the time to transfer all my data from the old iMac to the terrific new one. Im a satisfied customer. This refurbished iMac will last me for years!

MacPro-LA and the owner Ray are miracle workers. They have saved my digital/video-editing life twice now. Up against an impossible editing deadline for a big charity event, they came through with a rental, software install, the best technical advice, and Rays calm assurance that they understood the issue and could solve it. Then again when I had a drive failure, and up against another deadline, Ray also saved my butt. In addition to the best tech service around, Ray is also a wonderful friendly guy who instills instant confidence and is also super fair and reasonable with pricing. Sold me a broken computer that crashed after 6 months and I almost lost all of my data. When I brought it back for repairs he kept it for weeks with no update or communication, I asked once for an update on if my data could be retrieved and he rudely told me to “take it to the Apple Store” if I have a problem with his service. When I called to sell to these guys my laptop they told me $400 over the phone I told them all the specs and everything then when I got to the store you said because of the specs you could only do $350 so I just said yes because I had already driven all the way out. Than you guys took almost a week to send me payment, keep in mind the laptop is already in there possession. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, wasn’t going to leave a review but you guys keep emailing me to leave one probably going to leave them one. Who in their right mind conducts business like this? My son’s MacBook Pro screen was damaged, and after being sent a recommendation by Apple for a far pricier repair service with only minimal positive reviews, we found MacPro LA and gave them a call as they were closing. They recommended coming in first thing the next business day, and we arrived 30 minutes earlier than their opening time; not only did they let us in 20 minutes early, but they completed the repair in less than 2 hours (expedited was $99, but worth it do to our schedules and the distance!) Friendly service and text messaging notifications were the icing on the cake! A little more $$$, but worth it for the convenience.

I discovered MacPro-LA about 7 years ago and have purchased 6 computers (2 pros and 4 airs) so far. Ray has been very transparent about the equipment he sells and the prices are significantly less than purchasing brand new models. Every computer I have purchased have had good shelf lives (I recently had to change my MacBook Pro which ran perfectly from 2015 to 2022 - it was a 2012 model) and I felt confident that Ray would fix any issue if it actually came up. Furthermore, Ray completely reset my old computers so that I could sell them on Craiglist without worrying about remnant private data being left on or the dreaded Start Up disk is Full message from popping up. I highly recommend MacPro-LA as place you should check out the next time you are thinking of buying a Mac. Its like buying a rarely driven luxury car thats just come off a two year lease (someone else paid for the depreciation and the car still runs great!).

Sold a few computers here. They refurb and resell so they dont necessarily pay top dollar, I could have done better selling them myself but I didnt have the time and was under a huge amount of stress and needed $$$. The guys are great and very straightforward which can be the trickiest part of any repair. The only reason that I gave them a four star is that they had a bit of confusion figuring out my issue with my 2020 Macbook Air.. I will say, that they had the chance to overcharge me for a more expensive repair and did not. The owners charged me less than what was initially billed. Good guys. While looking for a new MacBook Pro, I was highly considering Back Market, but there were so many mixed reviews so I started to look for local shops to get a refurbished laptop. MacPro had nothing but good reviews, and I was in and out of the store with in ~20 mins with a new computer. I had one if the best repair experiences on the planet. No wait. The owner and I calmly and precisely discussed the issue. He told me up front what the costs were and the exact work he planned to do. He also said when it would be ready, and it was ready exactly on time. The place is legit. Interestingly, I thought there may have been an issue with the repair so I brought it back. UPDATE: The used keyboard that was sent as a replacement for the wrong equipment had several keys that did not work. I have spoken with the company and have been told several times that they would send a properly functioning keyboard when one comes available. I have lost faith in this company and believe that if you have problems with a purchase, that they wont fix it unless convenient for them. I took in a six year old laptop that was totally in-operational. They fixed it up for me at a reasonable price. Their service was very quick and helpful. I received it back in excellent working condition, all the data that was on the drive intact. After I had been using it for about a month, I updated the operating system. I made a mistake and skipped a couple of versions, causing the computer to crash. I took it in to Mac Pro and then reset it, and then upgraded the operating system all the way to the most current version, no charge. I Im glad we have these guys in town. Great service!

I had the pleasure of finding this repair shop after my Macbook Air had suffered some serious water damage. Unfortunately the damage was far worse than I anticipated, and found myself choosing between a pretty pricey repair and shopping for new options from their inventory. The tech that assisted me in this process was extremely helpful and walked me through every option and even offered to to transfer data into my new laptop if we choose that route. He remained professional and didnt try to sway my decision any which way, keeping me updated throughout every process. I ended up denying the repair and upgraded to the new Macbook Pro 14 and havent regretted the decision at all.

Free diagnostics + quick service (24-hrs). I had an easy service and was more than happy to support a locally owned small business. Very nice people. Would give 5 starts but 1. I had to call in to check on my computer, 2. my computer came back w/a dent in the chassis..grrr!, 3. my computer was dirty and 4. the bottom cover is now magnetized (weird). At first, I was drawn in by their repair policies, that was a big factor. However, after a major repair (Cracked screen) which cost me like $800 dollars, within 2 months, the screen failed for no reason it seemed. Turns out, due to their failure to replace the whole frame AND screen (something they claimed to have done) that the frame just so happened to have the exact damage that cracked the screen in the first place... hmmm... to this day, some 3 plus years on, they have not made good on finding a replacement, nor made a tangible effort to do so.

I had called a place literally blocks from my house and left several messages to get my computer fixed but they never responded, so I reached out to MacPro-LA via their website and within 10 minutes Vivian responded via text that they had my parts and could fix it. My 2016 MacBook Pros logic board fried in the midst of a Time Machine backup, and the tech at the third-party repair place offering a same-day appointment through Apple.com told me that theyd have to replace the logic board/hard drive and all my data was 95% likely to be unrecoverable, even via a data-recovery service (for a large fee regardless of whether they recovered anything, he said).So while they were waiting for the new board to arrive I went ahead and took my computer back and brought it to MacPro LA, who saw me same-day without an appointment. NIGHTMARE!!Faulty machines, amateur tech service and uncaring customer serviceMacPro LA sold me a faulty machine that they replaced with another failing machine. They had me reinstall the operating system and all 20+ pieces of software I use daily 3 times before accurately diagnosing the first problem. Then they replaced the machine and the second problem culminated in the new computer crashing DEAD in the middle of a high pressure, time sensitive job. This all cost me weeks of time, many trips across town to their shop, and caused over a month delay in my work. As an independent Music Producer and Photographer, using their machines has jeopardized my relations with several clients, caused untold headaches and cost me A LOT money.When I brought my monetary loss to the owner’s attention he responded “we can’t take responsibility for that”. He offered to replace the machine with an equal machine (which I can only imagine would fail me again) or upgrade me to something better at the full retail value. Cool. Thankfully I got a refund, but even that, I can’t say they did right by me as I had originally traded a machine in way under value and paid $200 more than other local Mac specialists were charging for the same set up. What can I say… I was hoping to support my local business. Sad.Now they have three machines with my data on them, haven’t provided me with confirmation of erasing it as promised and won’t return my phone calls. That’s MacProLA customer service.The owner’s parting words to me were “I hope you don’t think we sell bad machines”, but that is exactly what my experience has shown… they sell bad machines and don’t take responsibility for the consequence to their customer.This is all just a summation. My frustrations would fill several pages. I have an old MacBook pro and discovered these guys via Yelp. I was resigned to buying a used / refurbished machine as it seemed my laptop was dead. Tried to play hardball on a trade-in.I brought in my 2012 Macbook Pro and told the owner, Ray, I was looking to trade it in and buy a newer laptop from him, and the first thing he said was, How much do you want for it? (Second warning bell.)I said, Okay, and started to put the computer back in my bag and he said, What are you doing?
