I had a wonderful experience working with Brett Lyon selling a small apartment building. Brett helped me with recommendations to get the building in better condition to sell, and then waited two years for me to list it. He always took my calls, gave me good advise, and used his vast network of contacts to refer me to services to improve the building. Once it was listed, we had multiple offers and the building went under contract quickly with a solid buyer. Lyon Stahl handled everything and escrow was very smooth. I highly recommend Lyon Stahl and Brett Lyon.

Simply put, I am filing a complaint against Lyon Stahl principals Woody Stahl and Brett Lyon with the Department of Real Estate for gross negligence for their property management arm of Lyon Stahl called Fortify Property Management. I also have experienced the same culture of lying and a revolving door with personnel at their investment real estate company. I passed on listing 4 buildings with them. I found it too risky to put a high dollar transaction with a company that has the top guys not acting in integrity and that culture continuing at their companies.The Lyon and Stahl principles claim the management co when they want to get your business and hide behind being ‘passive investor’s when there were failings. Brett wrote that he was a “passive investor” when confronted with gross negligence at his management company. Woody completely ducked any communication or acknowledgement and did nothing. Past employees and LLC business filings confirm they are both active Fortify Property Management principles. The lack of integrity continued when I was shopping my properties around to sell. One of their agents flat out lied about having investors and offers coming in. He didn’t have his story straight when I queried him and uncovered his fabrications. The Lyon Stahl agent I did like left the company. He tried repeatedly to assist me to get help with Brett and Woody and the failing management co. This culture is forefront at their property management co and from what I experienced, with the investment real estate side as well. Don’t risk going with them, go to one of the top companies that is reputable.

Top notch service and professionalism!I have purchased many investment properties all over south bay and these guys are head and shoulders above the competition. From day one to my initial consultation until closing, they were always available to run numbers, do walk throughs, negotiate with sellers etc .. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Brett, Woody, and Duncan have now assisted us through two large investment property exchanges. On both deals they were able to bring in multiple buyers to exceed our selling price expectations plus provide us with excellent off market upleg options through their huge southbay network. We couldnt have any more faith in working with this team again on future deals.

Woody, Larson, and the whole team at Lyon Stahl were the perfect partners when it came to selling my familys multifamily property in Inglewood this year. First of all, let me emphasize that I rarely take the time to write Google reviews. However, my recent encounter with Magdelena, a property manager, was so exceptionally unprofessional that I feel compelled to share my experience and warn others.Magdelenas lack of professionalism was evident from the very beginning. She consistently ignored phone calls and was frustratingly slow in responding to text messages. We are talking days without a response. It was evident from day one that she had no intention of renting to me due to what seemed like blatant prejudice.To make matters worse, she unilaterally canceled our scheduled showing without even having the courtesy to inform me. I had taken time off work specifically for this appointment, only to be left in the dark. I made multiple attempts to reschedule, reaching out via calls and texts, but received no response for a staggering three days. It was only after a final attempt that she happened to respond, coincidentally while showing the property to someone else.During the rushed and utterly inadequate five-minute viewing, I simply requested to measure the rooms. However, Magdelenas dismissive attitude was apparent as she completely disregarded my simple request. Even when I pointed out termite damage, she callously swept it away with her foot, further highlighting her lack of concern for tenant well-being.The climax of her unprofessional conduct came when I sought her assistance in measuring two rooms using a tape measure. Shockingly, she purposefully let go of the tape measure, narrowly missing hitting me in the eye. She had a happy grin on her face knowing what she had done. This level of recklessness and indifference towards the well-being of others is simply inexcusable.Given my experience, I strongly caution anyone considering renting from this property manager or engaging with this business. Magdelenas unprofessional behavior, lack of responsiveness, prejudiced demeanor, and complete disregard for tenant safety and concerns render her wholly unfit for her role.

Julie and Stephanie Lyon were incredible to work with! They worked relentlessly to find us the perfect first home! Incredibly professional and made my new husband and i feel so comfortable and respected. They were ready and willing to show us numerous properties all across Los Angeles and were super responsive.Would not go anywhere else in the future!!!
