We were searching for a realtor in the PB area of San Diego. We’re based in Northern California so it wasn’t easy for us to get out to the SoCal area to look at prospective properties. After a quick search online, we found Rob and Joy at Luxury SoCal Realty in La Jolla.Rob and team quickly found several properties in the area within our budgeted price range. They made the whole process easy, smooth, and painless. Rob visited several properties that we were interested in and did a live video tour giving us his insights on each property we considered. Once we chose the property, Rob quickly put an offer together below asking based on what he believed the market dictated. After a bit of negotiation, our offer was accepted below their initial asking price. We bought our unit sight unseen.During the closing process, we had a chance to visit the property. Rob had an interior decorator and contractor ready at our unit to discuss our remodel plans. His network of connections are vast and we were happy to leverage it.Post sales, Rob continues to support our remodeling efforts making himself available to provide the keys and access to our unit when needed as well as follow up with our contractors.

We are glad to have worked with the Rob & Joy Aumann team. They took care of hiring professional inspection, mitigation, painting, and staging of the condo immediately right after the tenant left. Rob had been very accessible and immediately answered emails and texts within minutes. We accepted an offer in 15 days and closed 32 days after it was listed. This was not stressful since everything was done by Rob and his team while we lived in TX and never set foot in La Jolla. Well contact their team again if we ever decide to go back to San Diego.

We cannot say enough about the incredible dynamic duo of Joy Bender and Rob Aumann at LuxurySoCalRealty.We first began working with Joy and Rob in 2017 when they represented us on buying a condo in La Jolla. Because of their tenacity, we had almost no negotiation and bought the full oceanview, three-bedroom condo with a large deck for an incredibly reasonable price.You know you have a great real estate agent when the sellers agent (a well-known La Jolla name in real estate) takes the time to pull you aside and tell you that your agent is fantastic. Yes, that happened.Fast forward to 2021. We have three big boys and needed a little more space and were ready to commit to an actual home. The challenge to this is that we were living full-time in Austin. As places came on the market, Joy and Rob would rush over to FaceTime a tour for us. When we had questions later, they would be FaceTiming us from the property again in under an hour, even when we were texting at 7am.Soon, we found the place. However, there were already 7 offers on it. Thanks to that tenacity and deep knowledge of real estate strategy, we ended up ultimately getting the house over 13 final offers! I received a card in the mail for Rob & Joy saying they were Real Estate Agents and if I was interested in selling a property they could do it. I called Rob and spoke with him at the time I was unable to meet him to show the property so my son met with him. After that he phoned me and we talked about the property and what he could do to help us sell it. Though we never met I had a very good feeling and good vibes so my husband and I decided to give him a shot. At the same time we were in the process of buying another home out of state which buying and selling at the same time was very stressful. Rob & Joy were amazing they were in daily contact with us made some selling options of staging our home which we agreed to within one day Yes! one day our home sold. What an experience working with Rob and Joy! We’d been stalking the higher end of the La Jolla real estate market for about a year, so we had a decent idea of what we were looking for. Still - we were buying into a very competitive market. Yet these two consistently got us into pocket listings, dutifully accompanied us to the many “probably not but we should look anyway” showings, and gave us expert guidance on the unique drivers - and detractors - of value on the luxury homes we were seeing. Not once did they try to push us or make us feel uncomfortable. Not once did we feel like it was a transactional relationship with them - entirely the opposite: we felt like they cared for our home purchase as they would for their best friends. When we did land on our eventual purchase, it was the day it hit the market. We were one of multiple offers, but with Rob and Joy’s guidance, ours was the winner. But that was just the start - thanks to their process and their network of vendors, we were able to negotiate a price discount. They were also instrumental in managing the relationship between the mortgage broker and seller’s agent - the process took quite a bit longer than expected because of our complicated financial/business structure, and we are 100% certain that the seller’s agent would have pushed the seller to walk away too soon, without Rob and Joy’s efforts on our behalf. All’s well that ends well, though, and everyone was thrilled the day the deal closed. We can’t imagine a better San Diego realtor.
