Dr. Kim is an outstanding dentist -- expert and experienced, compassionate and thorough. He listens closely and is always happy to answer questions or address concerns. I have been seeing him since he opened his practice. I always feel at ease and comfortable in his office for all procedures. Dr. Kim has been my dentist for almost 15 years now. Prior to that, as a result of a lot of bad dental interactions as a child, I hadnt seen a dentist in many years, and needed a massive amount of work done.On my way to my first appointment, I was afraid I was going back to the torture chamber, because that was all Id ever experienced with dentists.But, simply on being greeted and interviewed by Dr. Kim, I could tell that he was a very different breed of dentist. I probably wasnt able to hide my surprise when he asked me and what are your expectations of me as a medical provider?He reframed my understanding of - and relationship to - the biology of my mouth, and why I was more prone to cavities than normal. There was no guilt trip, only clear explanations.He stays very current on the latest available techniques and dental technology, and even makes root canals easy. From your end, its basically a long filling. And hes right!After the initial deferred maintenance, I havent had more than one, maybe two cavities in 15 years, and I used to need a filling (and get a guilt trip) on almost every visit with my childhood dentists.The out-of-network rate is worth it. If you can see him as your dentist, you are one of the lucky ones.

Would not recommend. Overpriced and Dr. Kims bedside manner is lacking. He also didnt come inspect my teeth after a routine cleaning by his hygienist -- never had I experienced that in my life with other practices.

Dr. Lucio Kim and his staff are the best in the biz! You sit down in the chair and Dr. Kim is pretty much instantly able to evaluate whats wrong and how to address it. The whole staff is super friendly and they all seem to genuinely care about the patients. Highly recommend if youre looking for a dentist in LA area.

I had a great first time experience with Dr. Kim and his staff. Everyone was so welcoming. I appreciated Dr. Kims down to earth demeanor. He really takes the time to listen to your issues and desires but also tells you what he feels is best based on his experience. He is very thorough and follows up with his patients via phone call or email which I thought was great! He definitely cares about his patients and it shows. I would and will recommend Dr. Kim and his staff to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Ive been going to Dr. Kim for the last 3 years. Ive had nothing but good experiences with him and his excellent staff. The thing that has impressed me the most about Dr. Kim is how communicative he is. I remember on my first appointment in the office, he took the time to ask me questions about myself. Most importantly, if I had ever had a bad experience with a dentist before. I feel like this is really helpful for anyone even slightly fearful of going to the dentist. He genuinely wanted to make sure that I felt comfortable in his care, and that any bad experiences were not repeated! Since that first visit I have had several cleanings, all of which were painless and completed very quickly. Dr. Kim personally checks in with you at the end of each cleaning. His receptionist is very friendly, and they send out very helpful appointement reminders in emails/texts! Dr. Kim is great!

Cant say enough good things about Dr. Kim and his staff! They were ready for the the minute I walked in, and things moved quickly through my entire exam, x rays, and cleaning. They are thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He even makes himself available during off hours for emergencies. I feel so lucky to have such a great dentist on my side. Go here!

I had been putting off going to the dentist FOREVER because, well, I hate it. But after getting a referral to Dr. Kim, I decided it was time. From my first contact with Bella, who was super helpful with insurance questions, it has been a very pleasant experience. Everyone at the office is very professional, friendly, responsive and they take the Covid-19 precautions seriously. Dr. Kim is very patient, knows his stuff and takes the time to explain things clearly. Michelle, who did my cleaning, was considerate of my sensitivities, very gentle and thorough. My partner went in shortly after I did, I already have my next appointment scheduled and Ive recommended Dr. Kim to a coworker. Finally, I think Ill start going to the dentist regularly!

I have been going to Dr Kim for the past few years after actively trying to find a dentist I liked since relocating to Los Angeles. Dr. Kim is extremely personable, responsive, and is one of the few medical professionals to consider you a partner in your own care. I cant speak highly enough about Dr. Kim and his staff. They are friendly, responsive, and attentive. Dr. Kim is both very kind and no-nonsense. He took a look in my mouth and very quickly identified that a) I grind my teeth and b) that I have acid reflux problems. I had never had a dentist tell this to me. Based on his recommendations, Ive taken steps to prevent both problems. His hygienists are also very friendly and efficient. They give helpful advice without making you feel guilty.Another very unique thing about Dr. Kim is that he makes himself very available to his patients. You can reach him easily via phone or email at any time. It feels like youre getting special treatment by a family friend and not some anonymous dentist.I feel like Im in competent, caring hands with Dr. Kim, and Ill be with him for as long as I can.

I recently found Dr. Kim a little over a year ago. Upon first meeting him I found very likable. His dental exam is very thorough—he takes his time asking questions, going over your dental history, and thoroughly checking your teeth. The dental hygienists are also great. They take their time as well, making sure your teeth are super clean! And Bella at the front desk is awesome. She’s super helpful when booking your appointments. Overall I am so please with Dr. Kim and his crew. My wife now comes her as well and we have told many friends and neighbors about Dr. Kim.

Ive been going to Dr. Kim for five years and the experience is always great. Professional, efficient, painless, and Dr. Kim takes the time to explain very precisely whats going on in your mouth. I never feel uneducated or uncertain of the docs recommendations or the status of my teeth. The hygienists are all top-notch and the front desk/support staff are friendly pros. Not to mention a very handy online reminder for appointments -- I recommend Dr. Kim as your go-to dentist.

Have been going to Dr. Kim for 2 years now and am very happy. Was looking for a more conservative dentist who will talk through options (weigh pro and cons) with me prior to engaging in any dental work. I like his approach and have been very satisfied with the dental work done. He meticulously replaced a crown that was not installed properly by my former dentist. If going to the dentist makes you nervous or if you feel like you dont ever get all the information you want, then go to Dr Kim.Dr Kim and his staff are amazing. They are all friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Dr Kim pays attention to his parents questions and their worries and he is very good at explaining as much as you need and making sure you are comfortable. The office will confirm appointments by text and email and they are very up-to-date with the tools they use. Bella at the front desk gets special recognition for knowing exactly what is going on with all the patients and providing them quick and accurate answers to their questions.Ive been going to Dr Kim for almost 3 years, including root canals and an implant. As someone else mentioned, he does what he needs to do, and doesnt add extras that arent necessary.If you want a really great dentist, try Dr Kim. He is the best dentist Ive ever been to.

I have been seeing Dr Kim for several years and he is the best dentist I have ever worked with. He is incredibly thorough and thoughtful. Unlike some previous experiences with other dentists, I have never felt pressured to undertake expensive elective treatments. Dr. Kim is one of those doctors you dont think exists-- where coming in for an appointment can be an actual pleasure, not a chore or something you dread-- but somehow, Dr. Kim is real, and coming to his office is LOVELY.I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Kim and his staff. I was referred to his practice by a friend and her husband, who have been seeing him for years. I was completely floored when I came in for my first appointment and Dr. Kim greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. Before my x-rays, he took the time to ask about my dental history, and what I was hoping for in our dentist/patient relationship moving forward. (I mean, what dentist has ever taken the time to do this?? One who actually cares about your worries/your treatment/your teeth, I guess!)Ive seen Dr. Kim and his staff three times now. The cleaning and fillings Ive had performed there were the least painful Ive EVER experienced after seeing four different dentists over the years. Dr. Kim really takes the time to give me information and options about my care, and as someone without dental insurance, I really appreciate how forthcoming and professional his staff is about costs.Im just waiting for his building to vanish into thin air and realize I made this all up-- this too good to be true dentists office-- but by all the other glowing Yelp reviews, I think its here to stay.

Ive always had a good experience with Dr. Kims office. Hes extremely professional and always ready to answer any questions I may have. Also, unlike other dentists Ive been to, hes never pressured me to get cosmetic or unnecessary procedures. Hands down the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. I’ll add photos but you can see the crown isn’t even near being the same color as the rest of the teeth (and is almost just a flat stub). What’s infuriating was that the whole process was so bad and unprofessional that I went to another two dentists after this was done, to ask them what they thought. They both said the techniques used were very outdated and were surprised the crown had been done this way - they asked if the dentist tried to match the tooth color (which he didn’t) and then lastly and worst of all, when they looked at the X-rays, they said they didn’t see any need for the crowns in the first place. Avoid this place like the plague.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Kim for the past 6 years and he has taken care of our teeth from routine dental care needs to dental implants. Dr. Kim keeps up to date with the latest techniques, is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what he is doing and why. He has a gentle touch and despite some of the very invasive procedures he has performed, there was little to no pain during or afterwards! His staff are also always pleasant and helpful.

My experience with Dr. Kim has been amazing. I found him during a really difficult time when an accident resulted in a lot of damage to my teeth along with a broken jaw. I had never had any trouble with my them before and never needed a great dentist. The complications of my accident and the damage was very terrifying and Dr. Kim put me at ease. He was the 3rd dentist I had seen during this time. Dr. Kim really help me in the recovery process and explain all of the considerations and treatment plan clearly as there were many things to consider. His work on my many teeth was also amazing. He is patient and through. Hes very helpful in explain the process of each procedure and careful with ones comfort and tolerance. He also goes far beyond by checking in to make sure you are recovering well the following days and so readily available with any concerns. I cant recommend Dr. Kim enough to anyone who needs general work and especially those who have more complicated needs.

Ive been going to Dr. Kim for about eight years and I can say, without question, that hes definitely the best dentist Ive ever had. I know this sounds crazy, but he truly cares about the well being of your teeth/gums! (Ive had so many dentists in my life who didnt care). Id never cared for the dentist, mainly because I had the same one for my whole 28 years of life back home. They would take an hour to clean teeth, make you move to a waiting room where waiting another hour just to see the dentist. After moving to LA 3 years ago and getting many recommendations for Dr. Kim, I am super happy to say that the experiences in his office are 100x faster and more pleasant than I had ever had. Their are many options of appoints early in the morning as well as your teeth cleaning only takes 20 to 30 min (depending on how well you take care of your teeth). Afterwards Dr. Kim is right in to see you! My old dentist also loved filling the tiniest of cavities. Dr Kim doesnt fill anything unless he has too. His stance is more monitoring and treating the cavities, making sure they dont grow. I cant say enough nice things about this office and staff!

Great dentist! Great office! Dr. Kim truly cares for the health of my teeth. He gave me a prescription toothpaste in order to try to slow down some of decay/cavities I have been experiencing for a long time. It wasnt until I started going to Dr. Kim that I knew about this type of toothpaste. I wish I knew about this earlier, thankfully I started going to his office. Since then, I have been able to maintain healthier teeth. His staff is very kind, and professional. They stay on top of my schedule and ensure I am getting timely cleanings. In addition, when I do need a cavity filled, Dr. Kim does an amazing job; he makes the experience as good as it can get.

Best service, I had some crowns done there, and the service was outstanding, very professional, Dr. Lucio Kim is honest, caring and listens to you and your opinions, he shows you what you need to know about, and gives you options available to treat it. I have just called him this morning thinking that he could do a root canal, although he is not my primary Dr he was so kind to send me to other Dr. that could treat me.

Dr. Kim is an extraordinary dentist. I cant recommend him and his practice highly enough. He is extremely knowledgeable, sensitive and compassionate but also respects his patients time and works efficiently. His office has an attractive and comfortable waiting room with a variety of recent reading material, but dont expect to spend much time on the leather sofa - one of his staff will have you seated in a room within minutes.Dr. Kim is also extremely current on the most up-to-date dental techniques. A root canal that would have taken more than three visits with another practice took just a single visit and 40 minutes with Dr. Kim. Youll never have to worry about experiencing pain in Dr. Kims chair. He has provided me great advice over the years on my teeth, at times advising me to wait and see and at other times recommending an immediate course of action. He is also very sensitive with people who are uncomfortable seeing dentists.Cant recommend him highly enough.

Just moved to the LA area and found Dr. Kims office through my providers website. Gave his office a call and he was able to see me the next day for a cleaning. All appointments have been seen on time, and they have a great reminder system (email and text). Staff is all very friendly and Dr. Kim goes above and beyond than any other dentist Ive seen. He communicates well and made sure to ask if I was experiencing any pain during my recent visit for two fillings. Will be seeing Dr. Kim again and referring him to my friends in the area!

As someone who is not a fan of going to the dentist, I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kim and his entire practice. Having had some bad experiences (painful, confusing, expensive, misleading) I took an unwise three-year break from dentistry. A cracked tooth forced me to return to the dentist, and I decided to give Dr. Kim a try.After having a few cavities filled and a crown placed on a tooth with absolutely no pain or discomfort, I can resoundingly say Dr. Kim is the best dentist Ive had. He went out of his way to be aware of my discomfort with dentists and was clear and accommodating every step of the way through any procedure Ive had.Pain and creature comforts aside, the best thing I can say about Dr. Kim and his staff is that they are extremely forthcoming about explaining what is going on and why. Ive found in the past that many dentists simply say you need this done and then bully you into doing it. Dr. Kim goes well out of his way to explain what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, the benefits, the risks and how it will be done. That clarity gave me peace of mind throughout all of my appointments.Hes always outspoken about his main objective: to do the minimum amount of work on a tooth that will allow it to stay healthy and alive so that our teeth will last for as long as possible.

Im one of those people who put off going to the dentist (or any other doctor for that matter...) as long as possible, its not one of my favorite things.However, since it had been quite a while (read: years) since id been for any type of dental check up, I figured itd be a good idea. I came across Dr. Kim via the internet as well as some personal recommendations- for some reason the name Lucio Kim tends to stick in peoples minds. And for good reason- the entire process was a great experience.Dr. Kims staff was friendly on the phone, and it was easy to make an appointment at a convenient time. There was ample parking at his office. The office itself had a very pleasant feel. The front office staff was helpful and friendly. I barely had time to check my email before I was called in for my appointment. The hygienist did a great job with the cleaning (I knew I gave her quite a challenge...).When Dr. Kim himself came in, he was very calming and reassuring. He had an extremely gentle touch, and explained everything thoroughly, without using too much jargon or being condescending. The whole process was professional, without feeling stuffy. I never felt as if i were being sold on anything that wasnt necessary.Again, not a huge fan of office visits in general, but my experience at Dr. Kims office left me feeling comfortable and confident, with happy teeth to boot.

Dr. Kim was as advertised.Before going into the office I did a search and found his office, with plenty of good reviews.Ive been seeing Dr. Kim for the last 6 months and have no complaints about his practice - everyone is very nice and professional. They really care and it shows.They way he runs his practice is efficient, from the way they process your paperwork to the above and beyond scheduling support they provide. They are very flexible and try to make it so that it fits around your schedule.The early hours was a plus for me and one of the reason I decided to go.

Dr. Kim took care of them and keeps an eye on the risky areas without doing any treatments that can be avoided. This is a dentist who really values your teeth.I had to move to a different city a few years ago and went to a great dentist. I found Dr. Kim through an online search over six years ago and have gone only to him ever since. I was first impressed with his credentials then when I met him, I felt at ease right away. He is personable, professional, and caring. After every visit, he gives you a toothbrush, travel-size toothpaste, and floss. Ive never had a cavity and still dont have one, so you can be assured that he will never up-sell you on anything. His hygienists are friendly and thorough and his front desk office tech, Bella, is the sweetest. I refer him to anyone looking for a dentist. Now my brothers girlfriend and husband are both patients as well. I highly recommend Dr. Kim!

Dr. Kim is great! I went to a dentist and he really messed up my tooth and Dr. Kim fixed everything! He is a life saver. I asked a coworker if they had a dentist that they like and he responded with I have a dentist that I love!! My husband and I have been going to Dr. Kim for several years after an awful experience with our first Los Angeles dentist. The difference is like night and day, to use a tired cliche. They send us Coffee Gift Cards for being new customers, and a little rose plant was even delivered to our house for referring others to his practice. Very sweet and unexpected! Hes the best dentist in the Los Angeles area that weve encountered so far!Everyone in the office, from the receptionist to the dentist. is effortlessly professional. Appointments are handled via email (easy and efficient!), Dr. Kim is charming (without being gushy or phony) and very competent. I just feel completely at ease, like Im in good hands, with this office, whether its billing, making appointments, cleanings, or dental work. I was once almost half an hour late because of unusually horrible traffic and they were very nice and forgiving. Many practices would have charged me and rescheduled.Another plus; Dr. Kim, unlike our previous dentist, doesnt appear to look in your mouth with dollar signs glistening in his eyes. He does not recommend any procedures or devices that are unnecessary. Quite the opposite, he keeps an eye on potential problem areas until work is needed. Conservative without being negligent.Highly recommend!

Ive been coming to Dr. Kim for about a year now since I moved to LA and honestly cant say enough good things about him or his team. You are greeted with a smiling face the second you walk in the door. Bella (reception) is not only friendly but super helpful and informative when it comes to cost, insurance or anything you need to know about prices. The hygienists are awesome as well-- special shout out to Taliya! She is efficient when in a rush, gentle unlike most, and over the top accommodating. For someone like myself with a 9-5pm job the early morning appointments are gold and hard to come by at most offices...not at Dr. Kims!! Ive never had a problem with scheduling or getting a time/date I wanted, which is a huge plus in my book. Dr. Kim is extremely personable, intelligent and really cares about his patients. For as busy as he is, he always makes a point to engage in conversation and make sure all questions/concerns are answered. Do yourself a favor and get your next cleaning/filling at Dr. Kims office. You wont be disappointed :)

Ive been going to Dr. Kim for 10 years. My family goes to him as well. Hes done an amazing job on my teeth - including cavities, a root canal, veneers, crowns and even an implant. I dont have easy teeth so I was thrilled to finally find a dentist I trust.If youre looking for cosmetic work, I didnt know until I went to Dr. Kim that there really can be a difference in how your teeth work and look based on the dentists work. My old dentist in Beverly Hills made everyones teeth look the same. My veneers were really big (my original teeth are small) when my old dentist did them. One of them cracked so I had Dr. Kim redo a few of them and they looked so much better because he knew how to sculpture the teeth to fit my bite and mouth. Well, Im not sure sculpture is the right word, but they look good!More importantly, his office helps me take good care of my teeth. You know when you usually get lectured for not flossing enough? Yes, they tell you to floss more, but they have shown me how to use those little soft brushes for between your teeth and recommended a waterpik, too. I guess I have no excuses anymore.

Dr. Kim was very condescending to me as a new patient. He kept going on about how I need to respect him and never be late for an appointment, even though I was 30 mins early for my first appointment. He wanted me to sign some meaningless commitment agreement to respecting him and not wasting his time.Meanwhile his assistant gave me the most painful teeth cleaning Ive ever had from a dentist visit.My gums have been permanently damaged from that visit and Im never going back.

Dr. Kim is about as thorough and knowledgable a dentist that you can find. He is the Dentists of Dentists.I have been seeing Dr. Kim for the past 4 years. I discovered his practice after a long search for a dentist who could correct some bad work done years ago by my dentist of 20 years from childhood. My old dentist had put fillings in my back teeth which were causing tremendous pain upon chewing anything harder than bread. For several years, neither my childhood dentist nor another dentist were able to correct the damage. So I went on a search to find someone who could really help, and it lead me to Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim corrected the damage, and as far as Im concerned, he is the Dentist of Dentists.A few things I like about his practice:--His staff and hygienists are very well trained. This point goes a long way since most of the time spent in a dentists office is for cleanings/checkups. I once asked his hygienist about flossing, and her explanation was so thorough, I felt it should have been recorded and shared on youtube for everyone to see. (need to floss up and down the tooth, and not a sawing motion).--During cleanings, they use this sonic wand instrument, which greatly reduces the amount of work needed to be done with those metal picks.--The hygienists are gentle during flossing. Important if youve ever been left in tears by a hygienist who didnt know his/her own strength.--Dr. Kim is always available for contact in case of dental emergencies. Id never heard of a dentist being on-call like this before Dr. Kim.--Dr. Kim follows up after ever visit, and is extremely thorough when explaining what is going on. Whenever Ive had questions about my teeth, Dr. Kim has always patiently walked me through the answers. Sometimes he has used clay models and computer images to demonstrate.--Appointments can be handled over email. His receptionist is always on top of things, but if you prefer, you can manage appointment reminders/confirmations over email.Overall Dr. Kims office is very well run. I could go on, but I can summarize my overall impression with this one experience: On my very first visit to meet with Dr. Kim as a new patient, I was in the waiting room and overheard some drilling going on in the next room. It sounded like some major work being done; so I began listening-in to see if I could overhear any signs of how the patient was doing in there. And to my surprise, once the drilling stopped, I heard an older woman say to him Oh, youre such a good dentist. For someone to say that right after having their teeth drilled, thats amazing.

My wife followed up on a positive recommendation for Dr. Kim and between his track record and the fact that I literally hadnt been to a dentist in 15 years, she booked an appointment for me without hesitation.Of course, I went into it with a great deal of anxiety since my dentist truancy was due in large part to the negative experiences Id had with my former dentist growing up...even on typical cleaning visits.Dr. Kim spoke to me like a peer more than a patient and immediately set me at ease with the trio of fillings I needed along with my chipped front tooth that he seamlessly repaired.The ensuing gift cards we received were a nice touch and matched his overall easygoing demeanor while I was in the chair. Not only that, he was very straightforward when discussing future care and attention to problem areas moving forward.Go see this guy. You wont be disappointed.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Kims for several years now and Im extremely satisfied with the dental care Ive received. In addition, the staff is warm and inviting. Im always greeted on a first name basis by Bella, as soon as I walk in. I usually show up a minute or two before my appointment time and I am taken into the office almost immediately. When I leave, everyone says goodbye (that is, if theyre not busy with a patient).I have never had any issues booking appointments. I receive reminders both online and via text - options that I have selected. They make it very easy to confirm appointments. There is ample parking in same lot.When I call, Im always surprised to hear Dr. Kim answer the phone himself! This speaks to the level of customer service they strive for.

I used to be soo sooo terrified & anxious on even the thought of going to any dentist....not until I met Dr Kim.His humor and his way of explaining things to me easily puts me at ease (unlike the previous dentists I have seen). He doesnt seem to want to squeeze every penny out of you and really has my interests and concerns as a priority.The receptionist, Bella is very personable, informative and friendly. I have a past with dentists I thought was scarred for life. Ive often felt ashamed, afraid of pain and judged. My entire experience of going to the dentist changed with Dr. Kim. I couldnt ask for a more generous and educated man who is sensitive not only to what is needed to make my mouth healthy again, but also sensitive to everything from my emotions, to my comfortability in the chair to my financial situation. He worked with me in every way. I have gotten A LOT of work done and have not had a single issue during that time. The staff is great, flexible, the environment is peaceful- I got my work done in the mornings with the window open, birds singing. Its like having a practice in Snow Whites cottage! Have no more fear, Im telling you, this place and the people who run it are magical and genuine people. I couldnt recommend them more highly.

3 years ago I had a Horrible softball accident!!! The ball hit my mouth and nose (worse pain ever) 8 of my teeth suffered the consequences, so you could imagine... That very night my husband called Dr. Kims office, knowing it was after hours, he was just going to leave a message to schedule an emergency appointment if possible... To our surprise Dr. Kim himself answered the call and scheduled the appointment!!! The next day although swollen and bruised, the staff and Dr. Kim were ever so gentle trying not to make me more uncomfortable than what I already was... Although it has taken a couple of appointments to get back to normal, I am beyond Thankful to Dr. Kim he has been a True Blessing!!!! Friendly, Caring, Compassionate Staff... Excellent Dentist!!!!!!After graduating from college I had no idea where to go. A coworker of mine actually recommended Dr. Kim.When I went the first time we discovered I had 9 cavities! Hello panic attack. I have a fear of dentists from when I was a child but Dr. Kim took all those fears. We came up with a game plan where we would fill them over multiple visits. He never pressured me into doing anything I didnt want to do. He solely cares about the health of your teeth. I didnt feel the shot or any pain during these sessions. AND HE ACTUALLY CALLS YOU AFTERWARDS TO CHECK IN ON YOU!We also talked about a root canal. We were scheduled to do it and I was in the chair, as ready as I could be. After getting numbed up he did his thing. While in the chair, Dr. Kim said he was going to be able to save my tooth by doing a deep cavity filling. NO ROOT CANAL!I even went for a filling yesterday and its been years since I needed to get a filling. After I got numbed he was done in 15 mins. Thats why hes the best.Also his office is amazing. Bella always calls me by first name. Shes incredibly sweet. The other assistants are amazing. When I go for a cleaning there are some that are more gentle than others but I just request my favorite every time ;)

Superb dentist and staff!!! Dr. Kim is an impressive artist, and his staff is very friendly and helpful. I shattered a front/side tooth, the incisor, and since I had just moved to Los Angeles from New Jersey, I didnt know where to go. I did a little research online and thought Dr. Kims office seemed like a good place to go. Well, it was much, much better than good. The remainder of the tooth had to be removed, a titanium implant put in, and then the final cap put on. They fitted me for a temporary tooth, while the implant had to acclimate to the bone. I never realized the intricate process. An implant is pretty much a screw that gets embedded into the bone and then the cap is made to go on to the screw. Well, today the final cap was put on and I am absolutely elated over the results. Elated.Theres no way you can see any difference between this tooth and the others. It was a flawless operation and process.I also knew I needed a root canal, because my east coast dentist told me I did before I moved here. Dr. Kim handled that perfectly, and when the tooth was discovered to be cracked, he put a beautiful cap on it as well. A year ago I had told my east coast dentist of thirty years that I felt something on one of my teeth, as if there might be a tiny cavity. He x-rayed and said it was fine, but it still nagged me that my tongue could feel what might be a tiny cavity in the making. After Dr. Kims staff took x-rays, he told me specifically about that tooth, how it needed a filling. I was very impressed he saw what my long time dentist did not.After initially going to Dr. Kim for emergency services, clearly I now have found my new permanent Los Angeles dentist, now that I live here. I cant say enough good things about the work that was done and how I was treated. There is no way you can convince me there is one other dentist in southern California where you would be treated better.

My name is Cristina and I am a senior with a disappointing experience at this practice, which resulted in my seeking the services of another doctor.This is unfortunate. Dr. Kim incorrectly advised me to undergo many thousands of dollars in bridge replacements among other expensive procedures, when all that was required was a simple filling that did not require removing the existing bridge. This fact was confirmed by two independent dentists, one of whom, Im now seeing for my dental needs from now on.The only conclusion I can draw from this experience is that Dr. Kim is more concerned about monetizing his services to the extent that disenfranchises his elderly patients. In my seventies and on a fixed income, would have had to fork over over $10,000 to correct a problem that other reputable dentists could easily remedy (and with much less pain and hassle) for less that $3,000. Upon visiting the office, it is plain to see that (in my opinion) the overwhelming and extravagant use of computer screens, computers, gizmos, machines that go ping*, and other and superfluous equipment must have cost quiet a bit. Maybe, given his overhead, the motive becomes clearer.In summary, I would avoid this dentist, at all costs. Although outwardly professional hes actually a sneaky fellow and way too ROI-driven.Therefore, all I can manage is one star. Hope this is useful to someone.* The machine the goes ping refers to the famous Monty Python skit of the 70s. A joke, and one that would have been on us, if I had not decided to seek 2nd and 3rd opinions!
