1-14-24Worst customer service ever. Pickup service never showed up to retrieve return. Wasted a day waiting for these people. Called multiple times was assured they where coming. Called Lowes today to figure out what happened yesterday. Was on hold over 30+ minutes and no one came to check/ update me before I finally hung up. Will waste more of my day calling them back later. Delivery team on the other hand is awesome. Only positive. Quick, efficient, courteous.*Update* 1-17-2024After physically going to the store due to not being able to speak to anyone, another pickup scheduled and another no show... with countless additional phone calls! Happy to say the fire hazard blocking my hallway has finally been picked up. Five days late, now just waiting on my refund. I am enjoying my new replacement washing machine. Been years since Ive had something nice. Only good part of the whole transaction.

I asked a team member to help me with getting a large item off the top shelf. The man I asked said sure hed help. He walked off to get a ladder or lift and I waited. But when I saw him again, he was on the computer talking to somebody else who had walked up. I asked him why they got to cut in line and if I should go get someone else and he replied in a rude and dismissive manner. 10 minutes later, he was still on the computer so I went and got somebody else who kindly got my item. Very weird experience.

This is a cautionary tale.. dont bother calling this store. You would do better to either drive there and speak to someone in person. Or go online Theyre very nice in person. I spent 30 minutes on hold. In that trying to check on one item. It would have taken 3 seconds to tell me they didnt have. While on hold I drove to there store and talk to 3 people. Looked for the item in the store all while STILL ON HOLD. So dont call them. Otherwise very nice store.

BEWARE: THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR RETURN POLICY.I tried to return a mini fridge that was brand new in a box, sealed, and unopened. Their policy states that this may be returned within 30 days (this is an exception to their 48-hour appliance return policy). When I tried to return it, they declined it. Then, I call customer service 3x:1. The first rep told me that they will pick up the item and give me a refund. Nope, nothing happened.2. The second rep told me this case was escalated. Nothing happened.3. The third rep finally told me that the store manager claimed that the item was already opened, which was a STRAIGHT UP LIE. They can check their own security footage, I brought the item sealed, and the store personnel opened it in front of me to check the item inside the box.What a shame that a big company like Lowes is doing such a bad business practice. I already reported this to the FTC. Im sure Im not the only victim, because they said the system denied it and theres no way to override, which means, everyone whos trying to return a brand new appliance in original box within 30 days would be screwed.

Ive had lots of bad experiences at Lowes lately, so Ive gone more towards HD in recent years.However, I needed to buy a patio table today and Lowes had better options, so I purchased one. It took longer than Id like because there was a strangely long backlog of people in the grill/patio furniture area, but I felt the need to leave a review because this gentleman named Philip is one of the best associates Ive had the pleasure of interacting with in a store like this.Extremely patient (with multiple customers bearing down on him), caring (the guy he called to get the table from the back took his time, and while Philip was working with another customer he was still worried about me and wanted to make sure I was being taken care of), and very obviously knows what hes doing (I at first asked another associate about the patio table and she literally pointed to Philip and was like that guy, on top of me seeing him delegating tasks to multiple people, haha).I feel like if Philip isnt running this whole store, he really should be.

Lowes has a good variety of well stocked items. The staff arent very friendly or helpful, but thats like most home improvement stores. I like Lowes compared to other home improvement stores. Because they dont have people asking for work outside.

Very good collection of flower pots. Checkout is easy. They have one checkout counter in the gardening section. Makes it easier for billing plants and other gardening accessories.Has an ample amount of parking. Easy access.

The guy who was supposed to help me with blinds just walked away after being asked by his associate to help me with cutting some blinds. Finally found him a half hour later leaving his shift to go home. He completely walked away after being asked to help me. I waited for a half hour and had him paged on the speakers 4 times.

Good selection of materials, store is clean and well laid out. Don’t ask for help from any of the associates if you actually want to do your project right, but online ordering is great, pricing fair, store in Sunnyvale is solid. Way better than Home Depot down the street.

Called twice with a question, was left on hold for 25 min one time until I gave up, phone just rang for 5 minutes the second time.Came in anyway and found Richard who was super helpful, answered all my questions and helped me re key a lock I was buying. He explained the process and I felt like I was in good hands.

Very disappointed with the customer service here, use to be amazing... I went around 1030am with my sons, we come once a week or more because my son is on the spectrum and loves the fans and lights. Its safe to say I spend wayyyy to much money here every week. They lost my business today due to their customer service dealing with false advertising and care for customers. First off I found a light set (pictured) on sale. I even asked the employee Herb about it and the length of it. I came to the self check out and they said it is the wrong item... and made me go with my sons to go get a photo of it.... Crystal said the box matched what it was on the box completely... but the numbers dont match because they put the new product out but didnt remove the sale price of the old box above... literally the same product! I wanted the same price due to their false advertising.... they said they cant do it. I am not coming back due to not doing what was right, fixing their mistake. I am more than happy to take this down if Lowes wants to do what is right. I dont blame Crystal or herb, they were nice just following the rules of corporate... if you dont believe me look at your cameras today at 11am. Thank you.

Save yourself some trouble and dont buy at this place.Bought a water heater and the item arrived with serious dents on both the top and the bottom. Took it back to Lowes and here is what we found,1. You need a RA number from A.O. Smith to replace it, and A.O. Smith doesnt have a 24 hour line. So you are basically stuck with a defective item for 2 days if you bought it on Saturday.2. When we finally got the RA number the next Monday (we already bought a new water heater of another brand and installed it), the store refused to return it, saying they can only replace it with a new one. After arguing with them for, say, 15 minutes, I had to ask them what if I replace it with a new one and then return that new one, the manager reluctantly checked the rules and reluctantly said okay.Seems like they only care about themselves and not for once think about the trouble they have caused the customer. Given the amount of stress you are already under without hot water, dont buy from them.My new year wish just changed to wishing certain company go out of business…

Jian is the worst sales person i have talked to. My wife and I were asking a few questions on cabinets, and Jians responses were rude and unprofessional.1/ She referred the diamond express cabinets in showroom as cheap and low-end ones.2/ When we asked her whether Lowes also provided installation service, her response was our team did not do the cheap job.3/ She was impatient with our questions on styles and colors, and told us to check websites.

This is a great Lowes! The staff are friendly, the store is clean and organized, and they have a good selection of outdoor plants. They also have nice seasonal decor displayed well. I much prefer this home improvement store over other large chains.

I’ve been coming to this store for over 8 years. I’ve bought everything from small screws to garden supplies to appliances here.This store has everything a home improvement store should have but it’s basically self service. The employees at customer service and in the aisles range from neutral/not helpful to actively not helpful/passive aggressive. Cashiers are okay.Unfortunately Home Depot nearby isn’t much better.

Had a online pickup. Great arrangement and fast service. One window is dedicated to online pickup, unlike Home Depot where pickups share the same line with returns. It’s much more convenient at Lowe’s.

I always have a great experience with Lowes the place is clean and shiny the bathrooms are clean the water fountain water is cold and tastes good, the employees are always helpful. There have been a few times that what I wanted was out of stock but that can be expected. Love this place. Oh always take photos of the bulk nuts, bolts, washers and other loose hardware makes it way easier at checkout

Ordered Pella Windows in November 2022, was told 8 weeks max for install. After many calls finally had them Installed in late March 2023, more materials had to be ordered to complete install because Lowes employee didn’t order correct material, waited another 3 weeks to complete job. The main window latch was defective and didn’t close properly. I was told by Installer, Lowes would take care of it. It’s July, I’ve called Lowe’s multiple times for an update, asked to speak to a Manager, left my call back number. Never received a call from Lowe’s or Installer. I called Pella directly they apologized and confirmed they never received a request from Lowe’s or Installer.Lowes just lost a Good Customer. I spent over $10k for windows. I will spend the rest of my future time and money on a company with better customer service. Home Depot is closer to me, never had these issues with HD.

An older woman working the garden section register was very upset that I had a cart full of plants. She didn’t want to search for the bar codes so I handed her each plant and she insisted some items in the cart weren’t scanned so she scanned them again (when I got home I was double charged for 3 items). She asked me to hand her the cactus and I said “you mean the dragon fruit?” and she said “whatever, I don’t care anymore”. She told other people to get out of line and go do self check out so that she wouldn’t have a line. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time, she was making me feel nervous and unwanted.

This is a spacious friendly neighborhood Lowes. The aisles are marked perfectly and you can search for your items on the internet and locate them easily in the store. This store also has a lumber yard and and extensive garden section. Ample parking available as well. Had good experience shopping in Lowes.

2/10/23 - Thankfully, I was able to resolve this issue with management.12/15/22 - I am a General Contractor and have made numerous purchases over the past years for my job sites from Lowes and this will be my last purchase as I am extremely disappointed in their level of customer service, especially when I have a Pro account with them. Today hit the nail with Lowes. I wanted to return a few boxes of unused/unopened boxes of hardwood floor material and even after escalating this to the store manager, they still refused to take it back even though I said that I would accept store credit and restocking fee! Employees are downright rude as well. I am never stepping into another Lowes store again as I have never experienced such an issue with their competitor, Home Depot. At least, Home Depot honors their returns 365-days and their employees are very respectful. Too bad Lowes keeps losing business with its customers.

This store is a mess. Every time I am trying to buy or pick up something that needs some assistance it literally takes hours of my time :(Previous time people took about an hour to bring me a microwave that I prepaid a day before.And today super-slow people were trying to bring outdoor furniture for 1.5 hours and when I paid for this, it ended up that they brought the wrong table...And then they said that they wont put the furniture on my cars roof rack because...their manager said them not to do...Complete waste of the time - avoid this store if you can. Home Depot nearby is 100 times better!!!

I hate to write reviews like this, but a recent incident at this Lowes really made me question humanity. I called the store to inquire about a return I had made the previous day. What happened next was shocking. A lady answered the phone, sounding extremely rude and offering no help. When I asked for her name to document the incident, she responded by saying, I was born without a name and started giggling with her coworkers in the background. She then hung up on me. I was in shock. I called back a few more times, and each time, after hearing my voice, they purposely hung up on me. I was so upset that I drove to that Lowes store, even though I was far away, to see if I could speak to the store manager about the behavior of their employees. I now have a fear of ever buying anything from this Lowes store. The treatment I received from this Lowes really made me question humanity. Lowes Sunnyvale, if youre reading this review, youve just lost a customer.

Standard Lowes store. I wanted to make a comment while Im still at the store (@ 3:58 pm). If youre not a pro member, dont enter through the pro member entrance. I accidentally entered through the pro members entrance and asked the pro member cashier where do I make returns and she pointed down the store and demanded i turn around and walk back all the way down from the outside to enter through the other side. If I had a bag or something I would have felt like, yeah it makes sense because I could potentially steal whatever and put it in my bag but this was not the case for I only had my wallet and my item I wanted to return. Call me sensitive, but im just saying this for theregular customers whose having a bad day and happens to enter this store through the pro members entrance, and save them from the shame and embarrassment. Trust and believe Ill never make that same mistake again!

I was given the wrong item that I received as a curbside order. I purchased baseboards and didn’t realize until I pulled them out of the box at home that 2 boards were different. I went to return the items and the girl at the counter Basically blamed me for the mixup and then proceeded to blatantly ignore me when I asked her questions. Terrible attitude, her coworker had to help me and switched out the item for me after speaking to the supervisor. I will never go to that location again. It was uncalled for as I was only asking to swap out for the items I originally purchased.

Bought a washer and dryer from the Sunnyvale store. It was delivered on Sunday and the installation service said they sent the wrong size dryer clamp and said to call Lowe’s to get it done. So we’ve been waiting for them to come back after I called to set up a service call . First they would come on Dec first now it’s changed to Monday.Poor customer service and I would not recommend Lowes for this reson.

Terrible customer service. Good luck getting through their automated phone responses, or getting a straight answer from their staff, that’s if you can find a person to talk to at all. I placed an order for a washer /dryer set bc they were the only place close to me to sell acertain compact model. I was just trying to understand and coordinate the delivery and haul away - and the staff were rude and refused to answer any questions. They simply would pass the buck and push me to an automated system to get a tracking link. The tracking link gives a delivery estimate w a 12 hour window.They truly do not care - so if you plan to order from here - mentally prepare yourself to be on your own.

This location is reasonably well-stocked and most of the staff is helpful though thinly spread. Some are neither friendly nor helpful and give off a former Frys employee vibe of I-suspect-everyone-and-know-nothing-about-the-merchandise. Best to know what you want before you arrive. The self check stations dont accept epay such as Apple or Google Pay; you have to go to one of the attended stations. Merchandise feels a bit more geared to the weekend do-it-yourself customer than Home Depot; that said you can usually find comparable items at both, and oftentimes may have in stock what others are sold out of. Definitely worth checking out and comparison shopping.

I went to this Lowes store to purchase a DeWalt power tool. It took 20 minutes and asking five different people till I finally could get somebody to come to the area where the tool was locked up and get it available for me to purchase. Even the lady that opened the cage for me to get the tool gave me attitude and acted like she was doing me the biggest favor for opening the cage. If it wasnt for the sale they had where you get a free battery pack with the purchase of the tool I would have walked right out. Horrible customer service.

For the most part, just a very standard Lowes. This complaint is specifically about the customer service related to their rental carpet cleaners.I was given a unit in fairly mediocre but working condition (dirty water tank, lots of hair and dryer lint in the roller) - no big deal, its a rental right? A little grime and wear is expected. I dont have any carpet so I normally have no reason to own a carpet cleaner, this is the best Ill need anyway.As I was only using the hose attachment to spot clean my (pretty new!) couch of a milk spill, none of the above was any issue. I clean the water tank, and go to return it in a better state than I received it.When I try to return the unit, they tell me they will not refund the $75 cleaning deposit. After going back home to thoroughly wash the waste tank with soap and water, and painstakingly untangle the hair and lint on the bottom roller (which, again, I never even used, and couldnt POSSIBLY use because I have carpetless floors), and escalating twice to the assistant manager in the store, they begrudgingly give me most of the deposit back, but STILL charge a $25 cleaning fee, despite getting the unit back in MUCH better condition. At this point its a waste of my time to argue the remaining amount, even on principle, so I take the loss and leave. And Im sure the folks at the front desk tried their best to give what they could, but I could tell their hands were tied at that point.Final score,Me:- Minus $25- A lesson to always inspect the rental thoroughly and to never trust Lowes again.Sunnyvale Lowes:- Plus $25- A 1* review- Losing a frequent high spending DIY customerP.S. a word of advice to the store manager David Fogg who was not present at that time: you need to give your employees more leeway to accommodate customers. You lost thousands of revenue to Home Depot over a $25 cleaning fee. Hope it was worth it!

Had an old white male employee tell me he couldn’t help me because it wasn’t his job…….read another review claiming a male employee said the same thing. If he couldn’t help me, the least he could do is offer to help find someone. Another lovely worker named Emily, took the time to get a folding table down for me from the very top shelf of the bay. She deserves a commendation for great customer service! The one star is for every male employee I asked who wouldn’t help. FIVE STARS for Emily ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The other day I was at this store shopping for tools, I stood in the tool area for an hour looking and waiting for assistance and when I finally got someones attention, who actually stopped, they acted like they were annoyed and that I was bothering them. They then said Id have to wait for the person responsible for that area to help me. Once that individual arrived, I explained what I wanted and it took 20 more min for that person to come back to me with what I had asked for. Meanwhile, another lady who was upset with the service she was receiving started walking around the store looking for someone to help her and she returned saying the guy who was helping me was sitting behind a counter chatting with his co-workers.I just moved to this area and so I just started becoming a customer of this Lowes location and just about every visit is the same....extremally poor customer service! Beyond Bad!LATER IN THE WEEK: Today (SAT) I was having materials delivered and I made a special trip to make sure I was available within the 4 hour window, which of course they were delivered in the fourth hour, (delivery guy was great) and when my order arrived I had the critical things I needed missing. They were critical because the only reason I choose delivery was because of the size of these particular items.I tried calling the store several times to help correct the issue with the missing items and was hung up on and when I tried calling back no one answered. I then called the 1-800 number and the service rep there was very nice and helpful but unfortunately the answer I received was that I would be contacted by someone at the store.UPDATE: I was never contacted by the store within 24 hrs as I was told and I have spent the last hour, not exaggerating, just to get someone to take my call. I have been hung up on, transferred and ignored. In addition I have found out that not only were items not delivered but some items that were delivered were documented as not delivered. Just a total mess for a simple everyday transaction.Meanwhile during my hold time I have been texting with a Home Depot about a receipt I lost and they were easy, happy to assist and able to provide me with what I requested.As I was typing I was just hung up on again.I will be canceling my business account today and will never return.UPDATE #2: I finally got ahold of someone and as I was giving her my information I was hung up on again. I called back and after 15+ min someone else answered and started asking me the same info as before. I was explaining to this person that I just went through this after working on getting someone to take my call for over an hour and she said people move around. I told her that I didnt appreciate the way she was speaking with me and she said she was putting me back on hold and she did. A few min later I received a call from a nice gentleman, Javier, and he was apologetic and is saying he will take care of my issues. We will see.UPDATE #3: Javier never called back and never helped resolve my issue. I had resorted back to calling the 1-800 number again and they said there was no record of my first call and explained to me once again that someone from the store would follow up within 24 hours. Never received a call! I also saw that there was a response below to my review and not only have I been calling this number for help but they could have also called me to resolve but posting their comment was as about as far as I believe they cared to go to resolve my issue. Once again, well below par.UPDATE #4: Still havent received all of my items that were to be delivered 3 weeks ago.

I requested a delivery for a few items from Lowes to be delivered to the business I work for. All the other Lowes deliveries went perfectly.However, this Lowes delivery was came 4 hours after the delivery cut-off time. I requested delivery between 12 and 4PM--this item was delivered at 8PM.The problem here is that I work in a shared facility that should be closed by 6PM. According to our cameras, the delivery driver self-signed the package at the front door and then did who-knows what with it. Well, it has been three days and still not follow up from these people. So it seems it is time to recontact customer support and get a refund because this store will not cooperate.If you are going to order delivery--avoid this store at all costs. They dont follow Lowes delivery rules and they clearly dont care and will delivery your products to random people at a clearly closed business.

We bought a dishwasher from them that is a dud. It often fills the house with a burning plastic that is so bad we have to leave, and they wont repair it or replace it. My recent experience at Lowes was less than satisfactory. I visited the Return area, and although there was only one customer ahead of me, things did not go smoothly. The employee who was helping the previous customer, a guy with a large beard, finished assisting them and simply walked away from me without acknowledging my presence.I politely asked him for assistance with returning an item, to which he replied that he would be back and then disappeared, leaving me waiting for about 10 minutes. Instead, she insisted on having the item number, which my items apparently lacked. I received these items as they were delivered to me, so I couldnt provide the requested number.Frustrated and about to leave to find a signal outside, I noticed Vara looking at the stickers I had pointed out earlier and manually typing something into the computer. To my disbelief, she was able to retrieve all the information she needed from those stickers, making me wonder why I had wasted more than 5 minutes trying to get a signal when she could have done it from the start.Apart from the inefficiency, Varas attitude was not particularly friendly. I understand that people in such positions may not earn much, but it is still a job, and customer service should be a priority. If someone is unhappy in their role, they should consider finding another one where they can perform better.In conclusion, my experience at Lowes was marked by poor communication, unnecessary delays, and an unhelpful attitude from one of the employees. I hope that such issues can be addressed to improve the overall customer experience at the store.

I needed a variety of different things from different sections of the store. I walked back and forth through the entire store from the garden department to lumber and back again. I walked down both main aisles several times. I saw no less than 20 different employees on the floor. One person in the paint department said hello after my second pass there and that was it. Would recommend you measure out your plywood before asking staff to cut at the saw. I asked Eric to cut a 4x8 foot plywood board for me into 3.5 x 5.5 feet for my project. At first he complained loudly to his coworker that it was “a shame they fixed the saw” and then began to mark the board incorrectly. When I tried to correct him, telling him again that I was giving him the length and width, he told me in an irritable tone he knew what he was doing. He then cut the board into three pieces and none of the pieces were even close to being 3.5x5.5 feet. It was more than a foot off on either end. This ruined the board for my project. I recommend going to the nearby Home Depot or a family owned business. At least the cashier was nice.

In each case, someone at the store let me know that a service delivery ticket has been created and expected delivery date was communicated. But it was always a no show, and subsequent communication to the store involved me arguing with the associate about them not finding my prior request 🤯4) I ordered a four man service for getting the refrigerator to the second floor and basic hookup and they sent 2 people to do basic hookups services, TWICE. A real bad case of not hearing out what the customer is asking for.5) Good luck with someone picking up the phone if you ask for delivery or installation. Upon call, just say appliances and an associate will be right there with you.6) The chat bot on the website is useless for customer support and is only good if you want to find information about products you are purchasingOverall a bitter experience with this store. The only reason I give this store or Lowes in general three stars, its for the selection and inventory they have. As for customer service I give it a zero. Once in awhile you will find either a longtime employee comfortable enough in the politics to be able to help a customer without being reprimanded, or a very new employee, who really doesnt know better and they may be helpful. I used to work at Lowes. So I know firsthand what management tells their employees about customer service. During the training, they do impress upon us how important the customer is. The customer is number one. They show us videos of an employee being very friendly and helpful to customers. They tell us that we are look out for the customer who needs help. We are given a number of scenarios and ways in which we can effectively help a customer. I thought this is great I know all about the trades and I love helping people. When I did help the customer, they would first be shocked. Time and time again, I would hear the same thing, that they could never find anyone to help them in these stores. The first time my manager saw me helping a bewildered customer, because I was helping them, she indicated for me to come see her. When I did, she raked me over the coals. She was Furious that I was wasting my time with customers instead of straightening the shelves out. I did not learn my lesson the first time, this happened a number of times. She would get Furious and drilled it into me over and over again, if I see a customer that looks like they need help, walk the other way and avoid them. I would ask her about the training. She explained that was just for show, customers will eventually figure figure it out.

The fortunate thing was that there was a man watering some plants. I took the plants I wanted to him, and he very graciously watered each plant for me, apologizing for getting me wet in the process. (Very considerate of him but not necessary. I love water and getting wet (still love splashing in puddles!) and gardening, so even though I was in my Sunday best for church, I was okay with a little splashing!)Anyhow, mine was a quick visit. The only issue I had was in getting the heavy potting mixes INTO and OUT OF my cart and then into my car. Unfortunately, we live in a post-chivalry society thanks to the bloody feminists, so even though there were men around, none offered to help me lift the heavy bags. (At Home Depot a few months ago when I was buying some potting soil and lemon and lime trees, a gentleman was on the phone and saw me struggling to get the heavy bags into my cart, and he very chivalrous offered to help me, which I GLADLY accepted!) This trip, I was in HIGH heels...but no gentleman in sight, so I struggled to get the bags into the cart and then into the car. Not even a Lowes employee around to offer assistance (even at grocery stores they offer a bagger to see you to your car, and the bags are usually A LOT LESS grueling than potting mixes and fruit trees!).Anyhow, that was the only drawback to my visit to this Lowes. However, the bench itself was defective such that I couldnt fully assemble it. I called and the service agent said I had to return the bench to the store for an exchange, or I had to pay $80 to have them pick it up. This didnt make sense for something so big, so I called Lowes corporate. They said this was not the policy at all, especially for defective items.After hearing from corporate, the Sunnyvale store manager called me and said to expect a call from the delivery guys the next day for info regarding the delivery of a new bench to replace the defective one. No call came, so I called Sunnyvale and inquired with the service agent about the status of the delivery. They said no delivery was ever scheduled and would not even check with the receiving department if they knew anything. The customer service provided absolutely no service or help. They then placed me on hold for an extended period of time, implying they were looking into the issue. Outside of intermittent check-ins by other agents who thought I was a new caller, after about 90 min, they simply hung up on me.I cant believe this is how they treat their customers.

I like Lowes. They have a nice selection. As for prices, some are good, some not so good. I think it varies from where they are wholesaling. Buying appliances and having them delivered, especially if you have a special situation, isnt always easy but then at least you get some help...they do the best they can with how they have it set up.

I waited about 40 minutes for help with cutting a piece of wood after asking 2 different people & repeatedly pressing the call button for assistance. Then I was eventually told that the saw is turned off after 8pm by Eric. It seemed like he just didnt want to help me. I went to customer service for help and was told they only cut plywood which clearly isnt true because I know the difference between their 2 saws. I got so frustrated that I just left and didnt even consider purchasing the rest of the items in my cart. I was beyond frustrated and I dont even know if was a manager I spoke to. I sure hope it wasnt.I get I came about 40 minutes before closing but the sheer lack of customer service and basic dysfunction I encountered is beyond frustrating.I recently moved and needed the wood to fix my bed so now Im sleeping on a couch I guess. Im a contractor and I dont see the value to use Lowes as a supplier if they fail to provide even the simplest function of a supply store. Minutes pass and she helps other customers in line and she eventually calls again. During the evening they close the entrance through the garden area, but you can still buy the plants form the inside. It means that comparing the plants outside and those inside gets a bit more difficult. There are a lot of colorful buckets placed throughout the store, but I couldnt really see how expensive they were. Actual buckets are in aisle 5.Screws and bolts are annoyingly inside bags with no samples (not even attached to the boards) to try things out.Although the employees seem disinterested and preoccupied I found their knowledge and advice to be excellent. There is only a self check out.

I would give negative stars if I could. My experience with Lowes washer/dryer installation was absolutely abysmal. The workers were extremely rude and would constantly threaten to reschedule if I brought up any complaints with what they were doing. Get your appliances from somewhere else; based on my experiences, Lowes will not only make this into a bigger issue than it needs to be, but theyll drag out the process (what should have been a one day installation ended up resulting in three reschedules) and they simply dont care about providing you with a good customer experience. I went here for getting garden supplies and spring blooms and the good thing is that planting pots are very cheap in comparison with anything in amazon or Walmart. Also, huge variety of plants are available for purchase depending on the season . So far this is a perfect place with optimised prices for plants and there are so many to choose from.Cons: if your payment gets stuck then it might take half an hour for them to figure things out. Series frustrating experience. I ordered online and the order was delayed. So I had to make another order and come to this store to pick up. When I picked up, I asked if they could cancel the online order, the representative said they couldnt because it had been shipped already, but I could get the refund for the shipping if I return my delivery after I received it.So a few days later I received the delivery. When I brought it to the store, I was served by a lady named Jane. I think she was a bit rude. She grabbed my phone from my hand to enter the order number without asking for my permission, which made me uncomfortable. When I asked for shipping refund, she didnt want to be responsible for this. But I insisted talking with her manager, so she made a phonecall to someone else. Then she wanted me to wait here for a worker to process my shipping refund. She didnt show any apology for this situation or let me know how long I needed to wait, and wanted to walk away and leave me alone. so I had to ask, and she said around 10min. I just had a feeling that this mess would not end in 10min for sure, so I refused to wait and gave up the shipping refund. So, to me, this shopping experience with Lowes = 30min commute + rudely served + wasting shipping fee. How disappointing it was. Will never consider ordering online with Lowes again.

I appreciate the store being open New Year’s Day. I bought about $200 worth of stuff and paid at the garden center, left a $17 item. I called customer service to try to get my item back and was told if an item is left it’s returned to the shelves! What kind of customer service is that?? I’ve never worked retail, but I know of at least one other big store that hold items that have been PAID FOR to give customers an opportunity to recognize their item was left. This experience is a firm reminder why I will pay a premium to shop smaller stores.

Sunnyvale LowesI had a lovely Saturday morning! I had pre-ordered both a power washer and an attachment to clean my deck. At the endcap there was the exact two things I wanted combine in one box where the attachment was free! I feel like lowes anticipated my needs. I brought the combine box over to the check out and was well taken care of. My pre-order was canceled simply and I was able to also buy some extra attachments that I was interested in.While I was there, the fellow in front of me was completely out of control. His face was turning red and he was using a raised voice. I was a little startled but then listened to how the manager, David, was handling it and knew it was going to be okay. David calmly repeated back what the customer said and defused the situation as much as I believe could be with how irate this man was. David offered a refund and asked what the expectations were for the conversation. The man just kept yelling and repeating showing no signs of critical thought. Jennifer B and Maria Gares were the sales associates and helped me through my transaction. They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I could tell this person was upsetting them and it makes me so sad to see such compassionate people be treated like that.With the volume of the other conversation, I couldnt help but hear what was going on. The man stormed out. Curious, I inspected the order that he believed was damaged. I noticed there was a small rip in the protective plastic of the french door and some wood barbs left over from manufacturing, all of which I would expect. I used to work as a carpenter. The door was not warped, which is what I would worry about as someone who would have to hang it. The barbs would easily come off with a fine sandpaper, and even if there were none, I always sand and re-prime before I paint. I like the factory primer, but dont trust it and understand it more as a way to seal the wood in so that it wouldnt arrive with environmental damage and bow from moisture. Untreated wood can be fickle sometimes.I think the man just didnt have very much experience in fine carpentry and needed to yell. Were having a supply chain shortage, were in a pandemic, and in general the times are unstable. I hope this fellow takes some deep breaths, and learns to appreciate the kindness that David, Maria, and Jennifer showed to him today. I did and I hope corporate compensates this team well. They are top talent and were tested in an unfortunate way this morning.

Long story short, about 20% of the staff were either wearing masks incorrectly or not wearing them at all. They were understaffed in the department I needed help in so there was a long wait. I finally got help to put a heavy product in the cart and when I got to the front to pay, I saw that the box was damaged. I got help from another staff, who was super nice, and we opened the box. We found that the product was broken. THANK GOD they were willing to help me. If I got back to the house with a broken item I got sure would have cried. The only reason Im giving them 2 stars is because two of the workers were both helpful and kind. Honestly, I couldnt get out of there fast enough. Ive had issues with them in the past but this was definitely the worst of all my experiences there.

I am a plant killer and my plants died so I went to Lowes but not sure what I should get as where I put my plants has lots of sunlight. I went to the store and placed an order for a washer. Paid for everything. Was told to wait for a phone call for the time of delivery. The salesman was nice and showed the half dozen counter depth refrigerators on display - few of which were in stock for rapid delivery. I choose a Whirlpool counter depth side-by-side model which was in stock for delivery on Monday, Jan 10.That evening I get a call saying the two refrigerators in stock are actually returned, damaged units so the refrigerator had to come from the warehouse which had 200 units in stock so delivery would be delayed a week to Saturday, Jan 15. This Lowes is so incompetent they cant even do effective inventory management - a basic requirement of any retail sales store! STRIKE ONEOn Sunday, Jan 9 I returned to the store to explore alternatives. There were no other counter depth refrigerators in their stock other than GE which I will never purchase again after all the problems I had with the $3000 GE Cafe refrigerator purchased in 2013 or an LG with a computer screen in the door and wi-fi for $1500 more than the $2000 Whirlpool.I inquired whether nearby Lowes stores had the Whirlpool model in stock. Yes in southern San Jose but I would have to cancel this order, drive in person to that store and re-purchase the refrigerator. There is NO cooperation between Lowes stores by design - an unacceptable company policy! STRIKE TWOI left and went to the nearby Home Depot at Kifer Rd. and Fair Oaks. That store had only three counter depth models and no sales personnel so I couldnt even see if any were in stock. This store is useless.I ended up waiting the week and throwing out $300 worth of spoiled food. On Friday, Jan 14 I get an automated call after 6PM saying my refrigerator would be delivered the following day and the delivery window would be 8 am to 8 pm. My wife and I returned some blinds that were too big for our windows the young lady helping us was rude and then when we asked her about the credit she said to us it was credited to your card. We then purchased 3 more sets of blinds but when we got home to put them up the hardware was missing and they weren’t even the correct size that was stated on the box they were way to small so we made another trip to return those ones. At this time we also checked our account to see if we received our credit back from the previous purchase which we had not. When returning the second set of blinds we asked the girl how long before the credit would be credited she said 16 days i was a little bit upset because we spent a lot and then to have to come back to get different ones. She offered us a credit to the card or cash since we used our atm card. The service is horrible and the staff need to all do the same the first worker should of offered the same to us. Plus the fact that the blinds we purchased the second time weren’t even close to the size it stated so just beware when buying

I have purchased product online and had it either not been fulfilled when they stated they were going to fulfill it. Not delivering it at the scheduled time that was supposed to be delivered. The employees here are extremely rude and seem like they hate their job.I returned an item and the employee spent the entire time muttering under his breath about customers. Then when I thanked him, he said nothing but kept muttering.At the check out, the older lady who helped me turned her light off, and refused to help the 2 people who were standing in line waiting. The actual store is huge and has everything you need. Everything is well organized and it is well kept. They have good deals on a weekly basis as you might imagine. The parking lot is a mess, and can get confusing of how to get in and out if its your first time. But that being said, they have a pretty huge parking lot.I was personally there for a ceiling fan. The staff is knowledgeable about what they know and this is why my experience with the store was just okay. I had questions for them, but it seemed they were avoiding my question. They were nice though and were pleasant to talk to, but just not to get an answer from.So if you know what you want youll be in and out and will have a pleasant time. I still have not received my (expensive) items - yet, I received a delivery confirmation email claiming my Items Have Arrived. I called the store to ask about this: they claim my items have not been delivered, but cannot tell me where they are, or why I received an email saying my items have arrived if they (still) havent yet.After calling to check on the delivery status two days in a row, they stopped answering my calls. During each call, I learned nothing about where my items were in the delivery process. I am completely baffled at the complete lack of respect Im treated with at this store. Do not order anything that needs to be delivered or would require a delivery time window. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. There should be an option for me to give negative stars....We ordered a washer/dryer from where that was suppose to be delivered two weeks within purchase. Nothing was delivered on the delivery date so we called and they said the washer and dryer were back ordered and to call a different number to check. We called the other number and they gave us a different number again. THIS HAPPENED EIGHT times. Finally we got a new delivery date.Long story short -- they missed the delivery date another three times. The washer and dryer was finally delivered a month after we ordered it...after countless frustrating phone calls. When they finally did deliver they gave us a delivery time window of 3-5pm. Checked on-line for a few needed tools, the web site indicated that there were at least 4 each at this location in Sunnyvale, about 20 miles from my home. I arrived there, and looked at the location (aisle, etc.), they were all out - and I checked about 30 minutes before arriving. Just by sheer skill and thinking I was able to engineer a solution right there using other parts that they had. Moral of the story, don t believe that they have stock even though the web site says they do. I am not sure if calling would help, since they would probably just look it up on the computer. Suggest that Lowes update their stock in real time and reflect it on the web site immediately.

When I opened the box a couple months later I realized that someone had switched out the packaging and a Slime tire inflator was there instead. This review has to do with Lowe’s online ordering for pick-up in the store. I ordered a component for my water heater and it was supposed to be shipped to a store near me. Although this happened the delivery was never ‘received’ by the store so I was never notified. Follow-up online showed no order had been placed! A call to the 800 number yielded a very helpful person on the phone (one star added for that) and he called the store for me (I couldn’t get through). He said it was ready to be picked up but when I went to do so it wasn’t ready. I had them cancel the order. Some many folks complain about Amazon killing retail but there is a reason for this and this is an example.

DO NOT order your window installation through Lowes - long delay, no communication, false promises. We paid $4700 for a window installation order back in 8/12, contracts ETA is 9/20-10/20. November rolled in, no window, no contacts from Lowes. After multiple calls, emails and hours of waiting on the phone, I got to know the order was delayed till Dec. I wanted to cancel the order, and they gave me new POCs to work with, and promised a discount. None of the POCs responded to my follow-ups, no discount was provided. Its December, still no windows, no communication. I feel so frustrated and helpless - since when does a customer get ghosted on?! Save yourself time and possible frustration. This store blares loud announcements late at night and early in the morning when were trying to sleep. We keep waiting for them to be good neighbors and listen to us. Despite the easy walking distance, Im not going to shop there any time soon. Other stores will get my 💵 because they dont rudely interrupt our sleep.UPDATE: It took a year or two of complaining and Lowes management even trying to justify the noise 😩, but the nightly noise seems to have died down for the mot part. Taking this location down a star, I generally like Lowes, some of the lumber was incorrectly marked and legally all stores must give you price on the shelves. They made a a big deal out of it with multiple people and managers involved, that took a long time. In the end they gave me the price as marked but it was seriously annoying and took a while.

The Curbside pickup is unmanned but there is no notice to this effect. Waiting in line for pickup takes in excess of half an hour waiting in line while having shoppers brush past you in a very unsafe manner. The line moves incredibly slowly as only one of the two points is manned while employees mill around behind chatting.Going in the store itself - there are no controls on the number of people and seems constantly very busy with little allowance for social distancing.I strongly recommend you do not visit this location if you want timely service or have any concerns for your health and safety in this time.

I am so angry with them. Purchased a LG dryer through Sunnyvale Lowes and paid for everything including attachments etc in mid May 2014. The people they contract to bring the dryer brought just the dryer without anything - no electric attachments, hoses, etc today on 5/26/14. All was paid for and shows on the receipt as paid. Called the store to find out what is going on, and they transferred us 4 stinking times. Cannot even get hold of a manager. Totally unacceptable. Made order for store pickup because I don’t live close by. Get there and am told the only item, deeply discounted, I really wanted wasn’t in stock even though I got emails saying my order was ready and none regarding any cancellations. One person claimed we were called but hung up on them. They say they can sell me a different item for more. I ask to speak with a a manager and she brings me to look for what I thought would be a replacement but we end up looking for the one I ordered and I see the exact one I ordered on the shelf. I spent an extra hour there and not one person apologized or have any compensation for the inconvenience. I’m not sure they didn’t cancel the order because they didn’t want to fulfill it.

This was my first visit to this location. The vibe is different in this COVID era. Good though. Plenty of inventory in the shelves. Very few on staff, but thats expected. I heard an intercom request for someone to make a key. But things went well for me. Found all I needed. Used self-checkout. Parking was not a problem either. I suppose I would give 3 stars as a baseline for being clean and stocked up. Had I interacted with any staff, that might have changed.

Employees talking among themselves discussing what seem to be issues with their supervisor or some other employee rather than trying to help the customer who is standing in front of them. I was terrorized by these people. They sold me washer/dryer without telling me it was in backorder. So they promised a delivery date that was impossible to make because simply the products were not in stock. Delivery personnel did not show up and notice of cancellation was not provided. Sadly, on the second attempt same thing happened - no show/no notice of cancellation. Waited all they for them to show up. This horror continued for another 2 attempts because of incorrect fittings. In summary - 5 attempts, 21 days late of promised delivery and installation, 1 million customer calls (exaggerating here. maybe 100 calls is close), 2 in store visits, 3 public laundry visits, 2 missed day jobs, 10 store manager calls, 1 district manager escalation to get everything right. Please do your research before you commit to appliance purchase in this store. Purchasing from Lowes is next to hell experience.

In one case a staff member wasnt paying attention to where she was pushing one of those big yellow steps on wheels into me while I was focused on trying to find the right sized drill bit. Horrible customer service. I was trying to buy a shelving unit. On my first visit they said the units are placed on top and requires fork lift operators to bring it down (even though the website said they had plenty in store on the aisle). The next day the folks didn’t help locating the unit again. Yet, I found just one lying around. The box looked damaged but the person at store mentioned the unit are packaged well and won’t be damaged. I brought it home to find that it was actually damaged. The next time I retired to the store, this time they were able to locate the other items instead of this one on my persistence. It was located at the wrong place. This time again when I brought home the unit it was damaged. The whole process not just was frustrating it gave a very distinct feeling that the store folks just don’t care!

Up until today, I enjoyed shopping at this store, which Ive been coming to for close to 8 years now but today the service was amazingly horrible. First I tried to return a propane tank and they told me that I can only do an exchange. I told them that I dont need it and I dont want to just throw it away. They couldnt care less. They told me to just put it next to the propane tank cage. They didnt even offer to take it there for me.Then I purchased a few items and when I came to the register the lady at the register suddenly went away without a word. Worse possible customer service. They told me my order is ready, and I asked him if my contractor could pick it up. The guy over phone was very rude and sounded very frustrated. He curtly told me that my contractor can just show up and give them my phone number. Later on when my contractor went to pick up the order, they told him none of the items are ready for pickup. So, I talked to him over phone and the lady was also very rude to tell me that if I want to pick up the order I need to go there to check if they are ready. So, I started driving to the store, and shortly got another call from my contractor that they found the order and were releasing the items, but he will have to wait at least 1 hour before they can do so. TL:DR; waited an extra 30 minutes to check out because a employee messed up.Only self checkout stations here, first off. I tried to use a gift card, and an over enthusiastic and way too energetic teenage employee rubbed off the gift card pin number, meaning my gift card is now unusable. I have been waiting 10 minutes at customer service, where the desk clerk is waiting for someone with the authority to actually provide customer service to show up.Update: After 20 minutes of waiting, I was told by a manager I could call the 800 number and come back tomorrow. After 30 minutes of waiting, the managers manager finally replaced the gift card, nothing else. So Im still leaving 1 star and not upgrading because essentially I was forced to wait an extra 30 minutes to check out because the first employee messed up and because customer service took 30 minutes to do something productive about the problem.

This used be my go-to place for kind and knowledgeable service, especially in the plumbing and bath section (Joshua!). Past several times, however, I was quite puzzled what happened in that regard, though it wasnt for that section. Looks like many good people have left, under bad management, or understaffed. This decline seems to be reflected in the ratings which used to (much) higher than that for the Home Depot nearby. This was a surprise to me also. Wow, they have the worst and most uneducated and unhelpful customer support Ive ever encountered. I do not understand why a logo would associate themselves with such a poor experience. I bought a refrigerator, they were supposed to install it and take the old one but only delivered the refrigerator. It then took hours to get customer support to send another team out to install the already delivered refrigerators. They were set to come Wednesday then canceled and rescheduled for Friday. When I called Friday to get a status of their arrival they had no records of a scheduled time then saying they could come out Sunday. Sunday no show. I dont know what to do about this situation. Not to mention they wouldnt refund me the extra money I paid to have them install the refrigerator and take the old one.

This Lowes store in Sunnyvale is always neat and clean and usually has the items that I am looking for. Some of the items may be a little more expensive than Home Depot but its really not that big of a deal. The Returns Department is the only drawback at this store. I went to return a pair of pliers and took almost 20 minutes to get this one item returned as there was only one associate working the returns area so the line was pretty long. I bought a dryer and returned it two days after delivery because of a dent, and waited for the refund. Since then Ive visited the Sunnyvale store over 5 times, just to follow up this issue. They told me to wait; then told me they were processing the returned item; then they told me they couldnt find the order completely! The last visit I met the manager and again she told me to wait for her call back. But the next day I called the store only to find the manager was out of office until they didnt know when! As of today July 17 2020, they have more garden supplies than Home Depot on Kiefer. I needed peat moss for my Japanese maple and I was lucky, Lowes received a shipment today. The custom service was great, opened the box and gave me two. Bought a discounted Queen Palm for $8.00. Not a lot of people on Friday around 11:40am. People wore mask and were socially distant.

I shop here a lot for DIY aquarium projects. They usually have what I need at good prices. My only issue is that the store doesnt seem to enforce wearing masks when it comes to their employees. I have been in the plumbing section quite often this past year and one of the workers, an older guy with long hair, NEVER has his mask on. The phone calls were tossing to the different departments (no responsibility for their own services) including disconnected lines for two hours, and finally the appointment was scheduled to check the product and to receive the confirmation email. The delivery department at this store never answers the phone. I was expecting a delivery yesterday and waited for it all day long. They never called to confirm a time window. I spent an hour with the Lowe’s.com customer service agent who confirmed that my delivery date has changed and the order will be delivered the next day and it will come from this store in Sunnyvale. The online status also said ready for delivery from Sunnyvale store. 10mins later I received an email saying the delivery date is an month later. When I called the store and spoke with the assistant manager, they mentioned that the delivery store has now changed. I am not sure how a confirmation of delivery on the phone suddenly changes to a month later and change of store. Really sad state of affairs. Lowe’s used to be a customer friendly and caring store. Alas, everything changes.
