Management is dropping the ball. 1. Multiple times now Ive purchased items that were clearly used, returned, and placed back on the shelf for sale. They are bad at verifying whats being returned is in its original condition and suitable for sale (again).2. They are bad at understanding their inventory. I purchased black wood mulch at the register. Then one goes outside to load it up from the pallets outside themselves. When I got outside, there wasnt any more black mulch available, only brown. I asked an employee if they could bring over another black pallet. They said there were completely out of black mulch. This location had literally over a hundred pallets of mulch sitting in their parking lot as its a big sale item for springtime. I said, you have over a hundred pallets of mulch in your parking lot and theyre all brown? the employee said yes. That I need to be better at coming earlier in the season and such. So I waked out to the parking lot and what do you know.. Many pallets of BLACK wood mulch sitting in their parking lot, ready for sale. Not sure if theres a system inventory issue, or a lazy employee issue, but either way, this type of thing is a huge fail on Lowes part. Imagine how much black mulch theyre not selling because of this.

What a great location! Clean, well-organized and filled with friendly people. Nicole helped my wife and I with our blinds purchase, and she was phenomenal. She knew what we were looking for better than we did, and helped us find the perfect material that was even cheaper than what wed expected. It was a really fun little day trip for us.

I’m a regular here and they always have everything I need. Customer service is great. They are the best place I found to match paint. (not always perfect but like I said the best place I found) They have a great selection and quality of lumber is good. There nursery has everything you need and the plants are all in good condition. Prices are fair enough for me and they give 1% back if you join the free pro account.I recommend It over Home Depot!

DISAPPOINTED AND WASTE OF TIME! Big box stores such as Lowes are a letdown. I called the window coverings section and spoke to Jesus. He expected us to come down. We were to look at samples for skylight shades because we had success with Lowes in the past. We went to the store 20 minutes later. We could not find anyone in that section. This is on a Saturday at 3:30 PM! We were told that Jesus was at lunch. Yep, he and the employees were at lunch alright. We were directed to an associate named Greg. Greg is the modern version of Jeff Spicoli from the movie Fast Times of Ridgemont High. Just existing to get paid an outrageous hourly wage. Greg could not find the sample books we were looking for. He looked like he was sedated and had no motivation to assist us. After going back a second time to see Greg, he says is a muddled voice,Uhhh, Jesus told me you were coming down and to show you the books but he didnt tell me what books to show you. I looked at him incredulously. He thought I was hard of hearing or just deaf. He repeated it again but louder. I told him that I heard him the first time. This task is something so simple yet could not be addressed. I hope Lowes loses market share. This is not even customer service. The employee Greg either needs to be coached, get off his weed, or go the the military for some much needed discipline. This generation is our future? Heaven help us.

At checkout the cashier asked if I wanted to put my plants in a little bag. Id never seen these before and asked if theyre new because they were PERFECT for carrying multiple little pots. She said she makes them in the morning. When I took my plants out at home I noticed she even included a little thank you nite signed Lowes/Susan. This bag kept my plants up in the car, my car clean, and my walk into my house easy. All because if a little extra added effort on her part.Thank YOU, Susan, for making my morning a little sweeter. :)Sometimes I feel like I should buy all my plants at a local nursery but stuff like this reminds me that even at the big stores, community and neighbors are helping each other.

I am a retired Marine and often drive past another hardware store because Lowe’s gives me a 10 percent military discount. Yesterday I bought a toilet seat and gave the cashier my phone number to qualify for the discount. The receipt said “Military Discount” but I paid full price. When I asked about I was told that I got the discount but they don’t give it on all merchandise. It’s insulting to have the receipt say I got the discount when I didn’t get one. This must be a new policy since I’ve never failed to get the discount before. Is it possible to find out ahead of time whether I get a discount so I don’t waste time and money driving past DeNaults?

Friendly helpful employees. Store was neat clean and well organized. I went to purchase ceiling fans and easily found them with great labeling. An employee saw us walking towards the front and she offered to check us out right away. It was really nice to skip the other lines. Love the store and visit frequently

This Lowe’s is horrible. Lowe’s is generally horrible compared to competitors but this Lowe’s is nearly unshoppable.I’ve done pick up orders and have either waited an inordinate amount of time, they got the order incorrect, or they forgot something. Usually this comes with no apology, or consideration. They are terrible at stocking the proper items, isles are disorganized, and generally have a poor selection. If you are looking for a quick common item, sure go here and have a mediocre experience.Also, if you try to use a number online the call rings to oblivion and there is no answer. I’m not sure if this is corporate, the store, or both. I also wrote corporate and got a half apology.Unfortunately they are close for me, but I’ll be taking every opportunity to shop elsewhere.

Some of the Lowe’s customer service is very bad, the store wasn’t busy. Most of the employees standing around chitchatting. When you asked them questions they get angry, and FUNNY thing the manager was at large/MIA when you need one. Here’s my question if they hates the customers…why are they stay in business. This store is by far the worst in customer service probably in the country! You call and no one answers. You go in and you can’t find anyone to help. Employees don’t make eye contact with you and I don’t think they have ever been trained to say…hello how can I help you? This was one of the worst experiences i had with Lowes.1st they entered the wrong phone numbers in their system when I purchased a big item. The delivery people couldn’t get hold of me to deliver the appliance because of the wrong phone numbers entered with the order.I had to reschedule ( showed up personally ) installation ( already paid) guys to make sure the washing machine is being balanced.Impossible to get through by phone and they passed me to the manager. We hung on the promised the manager to call me back in 10 MINUTES! Failed promise.Now i have to pay out of my pocket for the samsung to fix the balancing issue.I”ll will never deal with Lowes anymore and will go to their competitor which is closest to me.

I am just appalled at the way an employee in the Lowes in San Clemente garden center behaved towards my family. My sister and niece went to this specific store because they had availability of a product for my garden she was designing. The employee, Woody, who was at the garden center register was extremely rude and unhelpful. He did not want to assist her at all when moving the products and he questioned the prices making it seem like she changed the price tags. An unpleasant employee like his will bring a negative experience to other customers to your business and hopefully you can correct the issue so it does not happen again. I am extremely disappointed in the treatment of my family at this business and will not return.

They never have all of what you need, so you end up needing to go somewhere else anyway and now apparently you need a receipt to take things back, even though all of the purchase history is on your credit card anyway. Not even store credit. They must be hurting for money to be this ridiculous.Anyway, Im done. Ive spent quite a bit of money at Lowes through the years as theyre closer than Home Depot, but the lack of selection and the lackluster customer service means I wont be back.

Getting someone to help is a challenge. At check out I asked if I could have someone help me by opening the security doors so I could purchase a pressure washer. The cashier told me to go to customer service. I went to my truck parked in the parking lot, loaded my purchased items into the truck and returned to the customer service desk. There I waited for approximately 10 minutes while they announced over the intercom that I needed assistance. The 3 women were way too busy talking to assist me. Finally someone (one of the 3) escorted me to the isle only to find that she had no idea what to do. She took a picture of the ID card and left. Upon further examination of the identification card on the display I learned that this pressure washer (4000psi 3.5gpm gas powered Honda) is not even available in this store. I could not figure out how to purchase this item. So I decided that the one I have now will be just fine. Back to my truck and found my merchandise still there. So how was my shopping experience? Not good. Is it Lowe’s fault that the labor pool is this bad? I feel bad for the future generations.

I was feeling like I couldn’t be any more aggravated with Lowe’s San Clemente… until I was just put on hold with ‘customer service’ (a joke) for 45 minutes before being hung up on. Wasn’t it bad enough that a door I signed a contract for at the end of March (and paid for IN FULL) a week later, was never really ordered? I’ve wasted SIX WEEKS excitedly waiting on a door that was never coming. Apparently there was an email the day AFTER the order was put through to the sales person, William Ritz, telling him the door was discontinued. Seriously!? The next DAY and I was never given this info??? I will never spend money at Lowe’s again. 6 weeks of my time WASTED and now I have to start all over again. I was told my refund was on the way… but it has yet to show up. You’re the worst Lowe’s. Thanks for wasting my time.

Within a year of a 3 year warranty, after 3 weeks of phone calls to Lowes and GE, plus multiple visits to the store, they finally sent someone out who could not fix it but will not take it back. I had to trash a $1600 stackable! This is unacceptable. They are selling substandard GE washer-dryers and the warranty repair process will waste several weeks of your life. Buyer beware. Buy elsewhere.

It gave a warning about time to prep my order, but they had it ready to go in under 15 minutes. Service upon pick up was great. Friendly staff. Prices are always great. Tons of Christmas stuff. Lowes SC Refused to give me a refund for defective artificial 7’ Christmas tree even though we bought their 3 year insurance. No refunds after 12/24 but not mentioned on receipt. ! Lights on two sections were clear and the lower section multicolored. No electrical plug in the box to light the tree. We made a plug when we discovered defects on Christmas Eve, $240 purchase was a big waste of money! Lowes Customer service lady told us to take the problem to the manufacturer and In essence leave Lowes out of my tree problem resolution! I’m shocked!

I don’t leave negative reviews very often but felt this was needed due to having a really poor experience with multiple associates at this location. We ordered a Fridge for our rental property almost a month ago now. The delivery was supposed to take place two days after we purchased it but the delivery team showed up 5 hours before their scheduled delivery and we didn’t have anyone that could meet them within the 15 minute window they gave us. No call ahead.We rescheduled the delivery but they had to push it out a few weeks because they only deliver to the area Wednesday and Saturdays and didn’t have anything available for a few weeks. We called the day before the second scheduled delivery and they told us it was cancelled because now they only deliver on Wednesdays. I called back in to see if I could get an exception made and the lady I spoke to was very impatient from the moment She answered.Is unfortunate but that is the experience we have had so far.

Local business in Capo Beach, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. It is well staffed so there is always somebody available to help with your questions and helping you with the right stock for your job. The store is well stocked with all types of moulding, hardwoods and a large selection of different species of wood. A lot of local contractors and trade professionals shop here but for the DIYer you are always welcome. Especially if youre looking for trim moulding. A lot of times they are able to rip the bigger sheets to your measurements. For me not having a large table saw I know I can come in here and they are able to cut them for me. Which saves me an hour or two setting up.

Update. Pay attention, Lowes ! We just purchased a new refrigerator & dishwasher from Stephen at this Lowes. Based on our past experience, it wasnt high on my list to shop there.But Stephen was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He told us about the products and helped us to finally purchase! We went back yesterday (we called but nobody ever gormt back to us) with a question, and luckily Stephen was there and took care of everything. Hes a 5 star, knowledgeable & very helpful guy. Thank you, Stephen!Despite his outstanding service, i can only give the store a 4. Its sad, because its the only Lowes within 15 miles.We were returning an item purchased online. There were many brand new employees, and one customer service employee was rude on the phone and in person. After I found another employee who actually wanted to help us, our experience was much better. The new manager of plumbing was very helpful, and a couple of employees from other departments jumped in to help.Unfortunately, we only get one chance to make a first impression, and the customer service in the front of the store left a such poor impression I could only give 3 stars.Store is clean, well lighted, plenty of parking.

Lowes is awesome! They have the best selection of appliances and ceiling fans anywhere near us! The staff is great and super helpful with any questions that we have and always takes their time to explain installation issues that we may run into while discussing a particular product. We recently replaced all our ceiling fans and picked some awesome ones out of their great selection!

Would give zero stars if I could. I don’t know why it’s so difficult to get someone one the phone to assist. I’ve been trying to order an oven from Lowe’s for about 5-6 weeks. The only one that ever responds is Xavier (he’s great) but I don’t expect him to be there 24 hours a day. Appliances never answers, customer services blows you off because they are over head paging a department that never answers...what an absolute nightmare. I expected better customer service from Lowe’s. So incredibly disappointed.

Ive been going here for my gardening supplies and have spent way too much on impulse buys. They dont always have the best plants, but they have the basics like potting soil, amendments, pots, etc.They run out of strawberry plants and fruiting trees when theyre in season although Costco sells fruit trees around spring time for cheaper. I havent seen any milkweed stocked at this location. In my experience, milkweed runs out quickly at other nurseries so maybe I just havent been lucky to see any milkweed left over from here.They have some basic hydroponics supplies, but not as extensive as a hydroponics store. Theyll have PVC, pumps, and buckets. But I havent seen many options for growing mediums, baskets, nutrients, and other supplies. They do have those ready made hydroponic kits though, for more money. But its cheaper if you make your own hydroponic set up.Overall, its a Lowes. Its there and we dont really have much other option sometimes. Its not bad, but customer service isnt super great. Also, it looks like their gardening department sometimes doesnt take good care of the plants. But for healthy plants, there are plenty of other places you can go to for that.

They have knowledgeable people throughout their store that are not only helpful but know the store and can get you the Isle and side for every product. I love that about them. Nothing bugs me more than going into a store and spending 20 minutes without having anyone greet you and either help you or give you directions where you can get your item or help. Lowes is my type of store!!!

On the other hand, we encountered(or actually did not) a young female with short hair who actually HID(squatted down) behind the checkout counter near the pro center when she saw we were lost/needed help. Cant believe she expects to be paid for that. So Lowes gets a 3.

Ordered numerous items online and called to ascertain when it could be picked up, was told items the would be acquired immediately and we could come in for pick up. We came to the store 3 hours later. The customer service associate was dismissive at best, the lead cashier lacked the customer service skills to address her team’s confusion (was on the register computer for 10 minutes before saying a word to me).Team members in the kitchen department were at desks playing on personal phones; i walked through all of the displays for 10 minutes and no one asked if I needed help. No help was offered by the associate in doors though he walked directly by me to his desk.This location needs an overhaul in customer service. I have never been a Home Depot shopper, but they’ve officially got my business and I’ll be driving 20 minutes further away for our home renovation supplies.

I never received my order confirmation by email yet my card was charged. Not in junk folder either. I made a purchase online from my Upland lowes for a business function that was taking place in 2 weeks the day I was supposed to receive my order. I received a call instead alerting me that the item was not placed on the truck and now delivery would be after the date specified. No worries I thought I will pick it up myself upon arrival the item was not assembled as paid for & At that time I scheduled for another company to pick up and deliver for me. when I did receive the order it was actually defected it was not tested before it was issued and did not work. I tried to call & physically went into the upland location they would not help me to replace it. I was beyond frustrated!!! until I came across the San Clemente Lowes and their fabulous crew. Travis and Andrea saved the day they were able to resolve issue over the phone 40 miles away, to fix a problem that WAS NOT THERES& that couldnt be resolved 3 miles away it was amazing to come across such efficient workers that actually like what they do it really does make a difference in short Travis & Andrea thank you! thank you! you saved the day and my function went along perfectly thank you guys again !!! 😊😷

Worst customer service Ive experienced. Was hands down ready to blow $600 on a piece of furniture, and after driving 45 mins to the next location who said they had it, told me, I dont know what to tell you, yet they keep the floor model on display when they have none is stock. AND the website said they had the furniture in stock, but they didnt and acted like it was no big deal that they misrepresented themselves and their stock. Out of all the wonderful places that went out of business due to COVID, this was the one business that should have.

If you have a legitimate problem and you find the right manager, they will take care of you and make it right. Writing this review in response to a negative experience I had with Lowes and felt it important to let people know. Lowes DOES NOT honor their warranty on Kobalt tools. On the tool itself it states Lifetime hassle free warranty, but I found it to be anything but that. Previously if I had a problem with a Kobalt hand tool, I was able to return it to Lowes with no problem. Apparently they have changed their policy. Now, to return one of these lifetime, hassle-free tools, be prepared to a protracted battle requiring a significant amount of time, frustration, negotiation, documentation, and working your way up through the stores chain of command. Also, worth note, there is a person named Edward, if I recall correctly, in customer service that was horrible to work with. I am not singling him out because of my frustration with their not honoring their return policy, there were many people I interacted with in the course of working to resolve that issue, and they were all great to work with. Edward, specifically, was disrespectful, slow, and would not take any action unless specifically asked to. Was like he was trying to obfuscate and complicate the process as much as he was able. He wouldnt even provide me with a receipt after my exchange after I requested one (at that point had no more gas left in the tank to argue further). Not sure why that guy is in customer service or employed by Lowes at all.

I ordered a barn door online 10/28. It was being shipped from NC. It was a week bouncing around SCal. When it arrived it was smashed 11/19.I called Lowes 800# 11/21 and was told it would be picked up and replaced with a comparable door.I called the 800# again on 11/25, because I saw that it had a price drop. Do not EVER shop here! Horrible customer service. They charged me twice for my products and wouldnt give me a receipt. When I asked for a receipt, they said they didnt have a record of the transaction and in order to leave I had to pay again. After a half hour of explaining what happened, they reversed one of the charges and made me pay again. Then they made assurances to me that if I was in fact double billed all I had to do was call and they would correct the error. But when I did the manager refused, stating the head cashier had no recollection of the sale. After pressing him he admitted that the person he asked wasnt working when I was there. I have given up. We purchased a washer and dryer two weeks ago and were told that they would be delivered on the 21st (yesterday) because they were out of stock. My husband was in the field since Monday and was unreachable by phone. I didn’t hear anything from Lowe’s Monday or Tuesday morning. This is frustrating for many reasons: 1) They “couldn’t get through” the gate like they had promised us they could when we made the purchase 2) Called my husband even though I was the primary number 3) If they couldn’t get through to the first number why didn’t they called the secondary number? What was the point of putting down two phone numbers? Anyway, they tell us they’d try again today. Again, I got no call last night or this morning confirming our delivery time. The delivery guy called my husband’s number AGAIN, but luckily my husband could answer and they told him they’d be at our house in TEN MINUTES. I got very little warning, but they made it to our house (and through the gate with no problems this time??). So they install the washer and dryer, aaaand the dryer makes a strange noise so they take it back... I’m thankful they didn’t leave the dryer and that they are giving me a working dryer tomorrow, but come on! I just want to do my laundry!!

My previous favorite big box store has been taken over by Martians. Very Lazy Martians actually. Its a mess over there. Items I picked were miss priced. Stuff was in the wrong place and nobody working there wanted to help fix anything. They didnt want to walk back to the aisle and look at the shelves. The two ladies at the register told me to go take a picture and bring it back. It wasnt that far, but they didnt want to make the trip in December. Then when I got back they told the one employee that looked like he could make the trip to go back to the shelves with me to verify my pictures. He must be new. So we both went back there. Then one of the ladies talked to a mysterious person on the phone who decided the prices in the computer were just fine. Screw the shelf prices. I should have listened to my gut when it came to purchasing a large amount of tile for my remodel. My gut said dont go to a big box store, insread go to a specialized flooring store like floor and decor. Didnt listen to my gut and went with Lowes. One flooring associate said he couldnt do a special order for me to get the same dye lot but that I had to get it from the nearest lowes that had the amount I needed even though the dye lot wouldnt be the same. She said this never happens. Repeatedly I would try to contact flooring by phone and never once out of many tries did anyone e answer, the call would just route back to front desk. I now have escalated my issue to assistant manager. He said Lowes delivery will call you on Wednesday night 02/14/18 to give me a 2 hour window for Thursday delivery. Never got a call. A flooring associate called me to tell me that only one pallet came in but doesnt know where the second one is. Her response again to me was that this has never happened before. Somehow I cant believe that all that has never happened before has happened to me. Still no tile and no resolution. I would never do a special order from Lowes ever again. If they dont have there dont buy it. They have now delayed my project and have to try and reschedule my installers. I could use many words to express my feelings right now but those words would not be appropriate to post.

Do not under any circumstances buy a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes or anyone. We bought a fridge from the San Clemente and made sure to get the warranty in case something happened. Well something did. I give them 1 star because of the warranty company that has been servicing us but to have to service a fridge 6 times in the last two months and to find out that samsung has problems with there french door refrigerators. When contacting the store about this problem the sales technician says that they know about the problems but they dont pass on that information to the consumer. The Lowes corporate said to me that i should have done my homework better. The service company tells me that they cant deem a refrigerator as an unfixable appliance because samsung will drag you through the dirt repairing anything and everything until you are outside your warranty. We paid in the upward range of $3k for this appliance and no one seems to help. We are constantly struggling with this appliance and we cant even keep food in our refrigerator for anything more than a few hours without the risk of it going bad.DO NOT BUY FROM LOWESthey wont stand behind you or your purchase when it come to this situation. Then why sell the fridges anyways.on a side note, they know about a class action lawsuit that has been going on for years with Samsung and there response was until they tell us otherwise, we will continue to sell their products.

I originally went to lowes in early June of 2017 to purchase some replacement windows for my house. I received an estimate paid for my windows and scheduled an on site measurement to confirm the details of the windows.A rep from lowes came out to my house for the measurement and confirmed all the details of the order. I ordered the windows Mid June and was told I would have them installed in early July probably just after 4th of July holiday.Install was scheduled on July 19. They never delivered my windows in advance so I had installers at my house waiting for 2 hours for the windows to be delivered. When they were delivered I looked at the windows and the grid inside them was wrong. They had doubled the grid pattern so it looked like a jailhouse window.After calling lowes, waiting for 2 hours for a supervisor they tried to tell me they were going to charge me for their mistake. I never once signed an estimate, order form, or anything to confirm the order.Finally after 3 WEEKS of trying to get an answer I was able to have my windows reordered without a charge to me.I finally got my windows and the install on on August 30th. Guess what...they screwed up the reorder. One of the 6 windows was still wrong. As of now I am still waiting for my replacement window from an order in mid June.Not only that but I refused to pay my lowes credit card bill until the reorder of windows occurred. I paid the balance in full after most of the windows were installed but they still are charging me a late fee and interest charge.DO NOT USE LOWES FOR PROJECTS!!!!!!!

Lowes is NO Home Depot. IMHO its worth the drive to goto the Home Depot Mission Viejo store. Poor selection,few employees available for help and no smiles anywhere. #nogoodvibes

Your standard Lowes. I do like that Lowes has a focus on Veterans, celebrating employees who are veterans, they have veteran parking up front, etc. That is pretty cool.
