An interesting little Mexican food place across the from the town hall. We happened to find this place while we were driving by and shopping in the area.They have a Decorative layout inside with skulls and everyone wore jerseys for their football teams. The service was great and they always checked on us.We ordered few combo plates, the prices were not too bad. The food was okay but very greasy and very messy. Some of the food was also cold on the inside and made me wonder if it was microwaved. It’s okay if you want some cheap Mexican sit down food.

Giving this place 4 stars cause the food was really good! My bf got cheese enchiladas and a chimichanga. I shared a chile verde burrito with my mom- it was delicious. My bf also got a margarita which he enjoyed. The only down side of this restaurant is that they have that extra “service fee” charge, which I don’t agree with. Or white understand to be honest. Seems silly to me. This is the only place in Wildomar/murietta so far, that has this policy- that I’ve seen.

This place is the way a Mexican restaurant should look and taste. The design inside is clean and feels like a true family Mexican restaurant. Too many places have lost the feel.We watched the food as it when by for other tables. It all looked so amazing. It made choices difficult. We started with house margaritas and they were amazing with their chips and salsa. Salsa again is real Mexican tasting salsa with great ingredients and flavor. When we finally decide what we want we order an additional margarita but ask for a shot of Grand Marnier to make it a Cadillac. It was perfect.Our server was great and helpful. The service was fast and very efficient. Soon the food came out and it presented just like all the other great meals we had seen go by. Served hot and looked authentic Mexican. We each loved our meal.The 4 star rating explanation. Everything was rated at 5 star. The food, service and atmosphere all 5 star. But then the bill. I too as so many others dislike an automatic tipping process. A tip is earned. I honestly have had service that deserves no tip. The service here was great and would have earned a 20% tip, I just don’t like it being demanded is the right way to go. So I overall dropped the the 5 ⭐️ to a 4 ⭐️. The honest thing I did notice on the check was they put a heart on the tip line of the bill so you don’t unknowingly double tip by not looking at the bill.

I visited this restaurant so I could order their $75 to go family meal that is advertised on their website and on the coupon booklets that we receive. I called to place my order and paid over the phone. When I got there I realized that I was charged $85 instead. I brought it to the ladies attention and she said theyre $85 now. I showed her the flyer and explained that its listed as $75 as well as on the website. She said no sorry its $85 now and wouldnt honor the coupon. Thats horrible customer service! To top it off, The food was mediocre at best. Take your business elsewhere!

Food was good for the most part service was good but I will never come back for the simple fact that they do a mandatory 20% tip, they would have gotten this maybe more. WOW! In writing this review I just noticed that it has 3.4 stars on Yelp and only slightly better here in Google, you have to work really hard to get a 3 star review and now I understand why! The food is good but thats where it ends. The issue is the way that they run this restaurant, they nickel and dime you and they will not make ANY special requests at all to the menu. For a start, they automatically charge you a 20% service fee regardless of how good or bad the service is and its hit and miss, normally a miss. I just spent almost $50 on a meal to go and they would not include the normal, complementary chips and salsa that if you were to eat in they would provide an unlimited amount, they wanted to charge me for it,$10!!!. A few monthsago during their Taco Tue specials I requested some consume for their Biria Tacos, nope they cant give you a small cup of consume!!! And finally I was on a special diet and I requested a few pieces of lettuce, 3 to be exact to wrap the tacos in instead of tortillas, guess what, nope we can no longer do that either. When I questioned the manager her response is the same every time, thats our policy, pretty much take it or leave it.So if you want decent food and if you are ok with paying a 20% tip with mediocre service and zero accommodations in regard to even the smallest request then this is the place for you.

I rarely give a Five Star review. This place is fantastic! The food, the atmosphere, and the service are all fantastic.I visited with my family on Friday, November 25th around 4:45 PM. Jose Luis was our server. The restaurant had a few occupied tables when we arrived. All tables were occupied by 5:30. This place filled up quickly. Los Reyes is well known in this area for great reasons.We hope to come back soon.

This place really surprised me. I loved everything about it. The restaurant Is very cute inside. The service was amazing. The fajitas deal for 2 is a dam good deal you each get separate plates of rice,beans,pico, guacamole and 3 tortillas. The food was amazing like I wanna go back already. And happy hour was great.

First time here, stopped in for a quick lunch, sat at bar. Bartender David was great, one of best Rita’s I have had. Went with the flautus, nothing special, however beans were delicious. Downside.. they have signs stating 20% added to all bills, for service.. okay,odd for sure .. but then when you go to pay, you can’t add tip if your service was above par, which mine e was.. and they split the 20%among all workers, strange to say the least

Was considering coming here for the first time until I saw the service fee picture. How bout you pay your employees instead of relying on the customer, its not our responsibility. Its like oh yes, the law is now requiring us to pay our employees a reasonable wage, but we dont wanna have to pay it so were gonna punish the customer. Places like this deserve to go out of business.

I love coming here. The food is always great, the service is excellent and the bathrooms are always clean! It is so nice to go somewhere to eat and not feel dirty leaving the restroom after washing my hands. The Three Amigo enchilada plate is the best ever. The food was delicious and marvelously prepared. The Cadillac Margarita was good as well. The service was phenomenal as well. My server was very attentive and seemed to genuinely appreciate her customers.This was my first visit and it definitely wont be my last. This was just an okay place for lunch. I had the shredded chicken enchiladas lunch special. Plenty of food and it was served hot but it did lack some flavor. The salsa served with the chips was a bit spicy hot for my liking. The beer was served very cold and in a chilled mug. The service was friendly and the food was served quickly. While there many more people did come in but when I arrived there was only one other person in the place.

Food is always good here and have never had bad service. As with everything in the world soaring prices keep me from eating out as much as I like but the quality of food is worth it and the portions are huge so I always get 2 meals out of it. NOTE: This does not reflect on Los Reyes .....parents.....bars are for adults....not ur screaming kids and for you to be on the phone and so loud everyone hears you. show some respect for other customers.

Valentines Day 4:30 pm. Not busy.Stood at the front podium waiting for quite awhile for someone to seat us.Employees looked our way and said nothing, didnt even acknowledge that someone would be with us.No one came to greet us and seat us,So, we left. Horrible customer relations.I will not give my hard earned money to such a place who doesnt value their customers!

First off they charge you a mandatory service charge of 20%. Ok well lets see how the service is.. 3 other couples in the restaurant and 2 waitresses. We asked for 2 drinks to start off and 2 waters. We received our 2 drinks and only recieved one water 10 min after we got our drinks. Ordered 2 more drinks with extra salsa. We received our drinks and no salsa. We only got the salsa because we had to ask the bus boy for the water and salsa. For our first time here not impressed and hate to pay extra for bad service. We will not going back! I will only pay mandatory service charge for mandatory service!!!!!!!

I have been coming here for YEARS. Years I have been putting my money into this business. I came here to eat recently, and got a reciept that said service fee, and could not find the tip section. So I ask about it, and the service fee has replaced tipping. Out of the service fee, the servers get 10% of that, and the rest goes to the business! Out of a few dollars they are getting 10% and that is a taxed 10%. The business should be getting their income off the top of their earnings, not STEALING from their waitstaff. I am furious and telling everyone I know not to come here. I am totally disgusted at their ethics. When I go somewhere to eat, I expect the money I pay to go to the appropriate and deserving people. I cannot in good conscience support this business who steals from their staff, and forces guests into being complicit.

Been coming here for years with my wife and kids. The food is amazing, and the service is usually pretty good. As many have stated, they do add a 20% automatic tip to your bill. That never really bothered us as the service has generally been good. Now, however, they are charging for every little thing you ask for. We asked for a bit of shredded lettuce because my daughter likes it with her magic burritos (it used to always come on the plate) and they charged us $2. They charged an extra $1.50 for additional tortillas for my fajitas (it only came with 3). They have also been charging us when we ask for rice instead of cheese in the magic burritos.All of this had made the dining experience unpleasant. We will probably keep going since the food is great but they are risking alienating long term customers. Management needs to get it together and work on customer service.

Great food, great service and great drinks. I’ll probably never go back though. The prices are absurd. 1 Margarita, 1 beer, 1 shot, a 15.00 chicken bowl and 1 carne asada plate and our bill was $108.00. The 20% “tip” they add to your ticket is not a tip, only 60% of it goes to the server and the other 40% goes to pay for employee benefits and restaurant supplies! Last I checked those things were supposed to come out of your profit. You leave there feeling obligated to leave extra money anyway so the poor server gets their 20%.

Im torn with this place. As good as the food and atmosphere is, the required 20% service charge loomed over our meal as a sore subject. I personally will tip large for great service and tip low for obvious bad service, however, I do not appreciate being FORCED into any fee because an owner demands and wants to offset how the food industry already works... At least thats what it says everywhere in the restaurant... Im sorry but that will not be only going to just the servers pockets...Tipping is OPTIONAL for many reasons, especially for bad service. I get to see exactly where my money is going. Honestly, this promotes bad servers from getting the same wage as a good server... And rewards and promotes bad servers on the customers...Food was good but I will most likely find the same quality without another 20% fee attached, especially for large groups. Prices go up, it reflects in all food and services everywhere, thats the economy at work.Just as the owner has a right to add his fee, I have a choice not to go back. We love the food here, the chimichanga and the chili verde dip appetizer is my go to. My biggest complaint is that they add a 20% service fee to the order, however, this is essentially the tip as they do not even give you a place to enter the tip on your charge receipt which ultimately makes it a non issue as that is about what I would tip. They have signs everywhere letting you know about this charge so it should not come as a surprise.

My mother loves this restaurant and we’ve enjoyed many birthdays and celebrations with family there over the years. I did not even mind the automatic 20% tip that they added on during Covid. However, the last few times we have been there, the restaurant seems very short staffed, which I understand is the nature of today, but now it does not even seem that the staff cares. They know they’re going to get a tip no matter what, there is not any reason to provide exceptional service. Tonight, on a Monday night, the restaurant was very slow. It still took almost 40 minutes to get out two meals. Unfortunately, we waited so long that we had filled up and chips and salsa and we weren’t even hungry by the time the food came. Going through school, I was a server at a restaurant. I understood the needs of my customers. I honestly think tonight they forgot to ring in our order and only put in the order after I asked about our food. But no apologies, nothing. I understand there’s a great restaurant down the street, we will be trying that one next time instead.

We used to go here all the time, we love supporting a local business. Love the intimate atmosphere. Last time we ordered from them portions were so tiny. The thing that really gets me though is having to pay a 20% tip when you have no idea how your service is going to be. Don Panchos is right down the street and their food is very reasonable and very good with no forced tip

VERY INTERESTING READBack on Friday July 21st, my myself, my wife, my daughter, and niece went out to dinner here at Los Reyes! We’re told it would be a 30 minute wait for us to be sat. Next to the host stand is a couch to sit on, in which my wife, daughter, and niece were sitting as I stood due. Around 6:20 the hostess came to us from the back, and said My manager asked me to come let you know that we are going to have to ask you to leave if you dont stop cussing at our employee that keeps walking behind you... At that moment we looked at each other in Shock not knowing where this was coming from, and immediately asked the hostess what she was talking about! She responded back saying You (I) keep cussing at our employee everything he walks by you... Once again, we (Myself, wife, daughter, niece, and everyone that was right there) were at a loss for words, and had no response other than You have us mistaken because not one of us during any of our conversations ever say any profanity, nor did we talk to, or exchange any words with any other employee other than the hostess!Manager came walking out after asking to speak to them, and upon walking up, we asked Why is your employee walking out here saying that You are wanting us to leave if we dont stop cussing at your employee... Your employee, and hostess have it all wrong, as we have been here waiting for our seat talking about movies amongst ourselves, and never once any of us saying one inappropriate word, let alone speaking in that manner that I was being accused of (Other patrons standing around were also shocked by what we were being accused of). Out of nowhere the hostess pushed herself though and got in my face pointing, and saying I was there the other night getting drunk, and cussing out that same employee! Wait, what... I dont drink!Here I am already embarrassed, and humiliated from the first set of accusations, and now to follow up with more, let alone accusing someone in front of their spouse, daughter, and niece of not only speaking profanity to individuals who dont deserve it, but being drunk as well, when I dont even drink!We let that manager know that the only other time myself, or my wife had stepped foot into that restaurant was a couple of weeks prior while our daughter was away, in which we sat in the dining area, pointing out the exact booth we sat in reiterating to her know that what they did, and how they treated myself, and my family was uncalled for, and “Not Ok”!We left, of course... Frustrated, and irritated by what just occurred, we decided to reach out to the owners via their website in which gives the option to contact them. We assumed that the owners would see, and read that email, and reach out to us immediately, but that was so not true! Today is the 11th of August, and this situation occurred back on the 21st of July... Plenty of time for an owner to reach out! Today the 11th (3 weeks later... I shouldnt have ever had to call more than once) was about the 5th time I had called to try to get in touch with the owner, and to my surprise One of the owners calls me back!Wish this would mean a positive resolution, but unfortunately was the complete opposite which is why I am finally writing a review... My wife, and I wanted to allow them to make it right, and apologize... and not have to write a bad review, but the owner we spoke with... This owner had the audacity to tell me The reason I keep calling is because I feel bad for what I did, and that she talked to her 2 employees”! We truly had faith in this restaurant that they would have apologized... I mean something, right? Unfortunately they do not care, and its truly sad to know that there are businesses that allow employees to treat their patrons in such manner, falsely accusing them, and so on...I Hope, & Pray that nobody ever has to experience, and go through the embarrassment, and humiliation I had to had to endure that day, and Pray all who read this are Blessed, and Safe always 🤙🏽

The food was good. Our server was very nice and attentive. The only thing that I thought was really bad was how they put a 20% mandatory fee. Ok, so 60% of that goes to the server and then part of the remaining 40% goes to business expenses. Really. I normally leave 20 % tip for good service but I think it is very bad that they charge this fee regardless. Then to find out part of it goes to business expenses. So what is the food cost for? Not any cheaper then anywhere else. Food was good not amazing. I dont knownthat I will make it in my tip choices to eat.I also feel bad for their people. They work hard and deserve to get a full tip. Went there on a Friday evening and got a seat right away, witch is amazing up here in Wildomar on a Friday night. The bartender was super busy but he was still a great server. The salsa was awesome, drinks where great and the food was excellent! I will definitely be coming back. Oh and the mandatory service fee they put on your bill is not a big deal. I let that keep me going here and now I realize that was dumb of me because this place is great! 5⭐️’sUpdate - May 14th, So I’ve gone here a few times now. Great staff, excellent bartender, salsa is bomb but the food is very sub-par. Don’t worry about that auto tip thing, it works for what you get. Stick to the apps and good drinks. 🍻

Let me start out by saying that this is my second time at this restaurant and the first time was good with great margaritas. This time, not so much and I will not be returning nor recommending.Called in to place an order for take out and was placed on a hold time for a little under 9 minutes, never returned to the line, called back to a busy tone, tried back once again and placed through an order immediately. I was then told that the food would be ready in about 20 minutes.Got off the phone with them, went to the store to kill time, and arrived to the restaurant about 25 minutes from when the call ended.Once in the restaurant, I was passed by a waitresses twice and the only communication from her was excuse me. Continued to wait for a hostess for about 5 minutes who stated that she would be with me in a moment.She sat some other guests, then greeted me to which I let her know that I was there for a pick-up order. She ran to the back to check to see if my order was ready and came back with my check to pay. Once she came back to me to sign the receipt she told me, We just started your order since it wasnt paid for on the phone. I then asked her to cancel the order since that was not conveyed on the phone call to which she replied, I cant do that since I already told them to start making it and we already charged your card. I asked her to cancel it, she declined, to which I told her not to worry as Ill contact my bank to ensure the payment gets refunded.When spending this kind of money for mediocre Mexican food, the customer service should be held to a higher standard.

Then to top it all off after all that bad service this place automatically charges a service fee so we paid for bad service we were not even given the option to choose not to tip based on the service we received. I understand that during COVID many restaurants are doing this and I will gladly pay BUT I would still appreciate the opportunity to tip my server when using a credit or debit card. Watch out for the 20% service fee. They don’t disclose to you that there’s a 20% service fee. When the bill comes there’s no place to put a tip. Do you think that the 20% will go to the server? Coupled with the rice and beans which came on the plate, all I had was cheap filler. Less than an ounce of pork.I also used a credit card to pay and was charged a 20% service fee to “defray increased costs of operations.” Unfortunately, only 60% of the fee goes toward the server’s tip and there is no additional tip line, so the server gets shorted if you don’t leave additional cash. I ordered chicken fajitas to go. What I got was a bed of vegetables and a grilled chicken breast placed on top. The chicken breast and vegetables had absolutely NO FLAVOR. No spices were used. The chicken was tough and dry. Save the money and go to Taco Bell or Del Taco.

If you dont put a star you can not write a review, they dont deserve even 1 star but thats how I had to do it!!!!!We get take out from Los Reyes at least once a week up to now there have been no problems. Yesterday 5/27/2015 we called in our orders as we always do, 4 seperate orders. The new girl that took the order over the phone made a mistake and put the order in as one. Their problem not ours. We paid cash for 3 orders and I used my debit card for $11.83 signed the receipt all is good, until they come out with another receipt charging me additional $31.80 so they kept the cash claimed to refund both amounts charged to my card. The problem is I can not access that money and it brought my balance down to $6.46 (its the day before payday)!! I cant even put gas in my car and Los Reyes management told me they cant trust me to bring the money back to them when its refunded to my card. They made a mistake, kept the cash, charged my card and they cant trust me!!!! We will never do business with Los Reyes again!!5/29/15 Still no refund to my card!!!!!!

It took me 1 year of trying various Mexican restaurants, to find this gem. This place blows the other nearby restaurants out of the water. Love the specials and some of their specialty dishes. Eaten there twice, only missing vegetarian alternatives such as whole beans.

My go to place when I crave good Mexican cuisine. All the usual combo plates plus superb gaucamole and pico de Gallo sides are available. Fast and efficient staff provides hot food served with a smile. An excellent well stocked bar is also available. But, my favorite choices are the burritos, enchiladas, and tostadas that provide a most marvelous comfort food.

This place used to be our go to and now we wont return. The service was horrible, drinks were weak, overpriced, and what was ordered wasnt made. Best Mexican food that we have had in the Wildomar/Murrieta/Temecula/Elsinore area. That is a compliment but not a huge compliment as in the 4 years we have lived in the area, we just cant seem to find great Mexican food in the area. The staff were all pleasant, but a little slow. My husband had the Los Reyes burrito, I had the arroz con pollo and my son had the taco plate. My husband s and my meals were good and the portion sizes were in line with the price, but my sons meal did not come close to filling him up (2 small tacos and sone rice for around $12). We will go back but will not order the taco plate.

Los Reyes Bar and Grill is one more, on a long series of Mexican restaurants, that we finally got around to visit on a nice Saturday night, in the Wildomar area. Time was around 7:30 PM, and the place was bustling almost 90% full. We were seated promptly, while we admired the decor, from the wooden tables in the center, to the more conventional booths on the edges, garments wore by the ladies serving the tables, etc.Our main wish was that to perhaps we had arrived to a truly good place to eat. Ordered:Albondigas Soup, large bowl and a cup. Around $7 for the large? $4 for the smaller serve? (lost the receipt). Soups arrived fast, very thin broth but must admit it was very flavorful, little meatballs with good taste, thick chunks of Zucchini, Carrots, and smaller diced celery.The sad part here was that the soups were slightly above room temperature, and our server kind of disappeared from sight long enough to where any desire to have the reheated, was discarded. 3.5 Stars.Chips and Salsa, plentiful and tasty. 4 Stars.Chicken Tamale and Red Chicken Enchilada Combination Plate, $12+. The tamale was a hit with both ladies, soft and savory, eaten to their happy endings. The red sauce that saturated the chicken enchilada was nothing to write home about. Beans re fried cold and not smooth at all, but blessed with good flavor like the rice. 3.5 StarsChili Relleno and Chicken Tamale Combination Plate, $12 +. Was finished to its completion, but some minor complaint regarding the Chili Relleno. Same story with beans and rice. Sour cream on both combinations, on both plates, was included. 3.5 Stars.Chili Verde Pork Plate, $13+. Pork nice and tender, sauce lively and appetizing, beans almost a solid mass but easy to eat. Some fresh salsa over a bed of lettuce. They were out of corn tortillas for this plate. When I mentioned this, Maria, our server, just shrugged like better luck next time. 3.5 Stars.Between the soups and the second courses, a wide gap of time took place, possibly 30 minutes or more. Food arrived lukewarm at best, and service just froze in its heels. Water drinkable, no after taste. Service at the hands of blonde Maria, good and sad. Bill $51.18 plus $9 gratuity. 3.5 Stars.

3 stars simply because some of the staples of mexican food are awful: Chips - taste like cardboard, completely dry and flavorless. Salsa - flavor is okay but way too hot, needs to be taken down a couple of notches. Since the chips are awful anyway I dont eat much salsa; Mexican Rice - No flavor and the grains are hard. How can you make mexican rice without onion and tomato?? I come here regularly because my husband likes the food, which is fresh, but how can a mexican restaurant not serve decent staples of a mexican restaurant? Do that and Ill give this place a 5 star rating.

They did not have a California burrito on their menu because it is not authentic Mexican food. However I have not been to Southern California for many Years and was craving one of my old favorites. They were willing to make a couple of California burritos(Carne asada burritos with fries) without hesitation. Hands down the best California burrito I have ever had. The carne asada was cooked perfectly and the entire burrito was delicious from end to end. I can recommend Los Reyes enough, just amazing!!!

I ordered a new menu item that was described as Angus beef chunks simmered in its own broth with potatoes and onions, topped with bacon and served with a side of beans and tortillas. I chose corn tortillas when ordering.What I got...chunks of pre-cooked beef, black beans and bacon with broth from what seemed to be Albondigas soup poured over it. There was not 1 chunk of potato to be found and the beef did not have the consistency of meat that was simmered in its own broth. The chunks were hard and kind of tough.What came on the side...refried beans with onions and cilantro and a small FLOUR tortilla folded in 1/2 with cheese melted inside.The flavors were okay...but I didnt need a double serving of beans in the soup and on the side (I preferred the potatoes, as stated on the menu). When asked what type of tortilla you want...you expect to get what youve ordered and you dont expect it to be full of melted cheese.I would not order this menu item again. Maybe if it was cooked and served as described, Id like it.That being said, I have eaten here before ( carnitas) and enjoyed my meal.
