Great location! Right off the highway. Seems to be a good spot for access to larger towns. The people we were visiting reside in the same town.I chose this place originally because the reviews were high (8.4) on another platform and it didn’t disappoint! First, for a small fee I got to check in early and check out late which lessons the time spent roaming around before and after a flight. Free refills on bottled water, discounts if you don’t use housecleaning daily, spacious suite, affordable room service, pools, breakfast, clean rooms and property.The property is dated as it was made in the late 50’s however I would come back here just for the space alone. Room has AC and fire place, balcony with tables and chairs. Everything I needed. The whole experience was great!Also a safe location.

I recently hosted a birthday party in one of their banquet rooms, and I couldnt be more pleased with the experience. Cecilio and Karina were fantastic, assisting me every step of the way in planning the event and arranging an overnight stay. Their support and attention to detail made the event truly memorable. Everything turned out perfectly!

This was the worst hotel experience of my life. When we got into our room this past weekend it was over 90 degrees in our room because they didnt have the air conditioning on prior to arrival. We tried to take a shower because we were in a rush to get to an event that evening, the water wasnt working. We had already unpacked our luggage and started getting ready. The front desk woman (Michelle? woman working 5-31-24 around 4 pm) was extremely rude but eventually offered us a new room. Five minutes later someone opened the door without even knocking, we had no time to pack up our things. The woman made it seem like it was our fault and had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Our new room was disgusting. There was a large bug on one of the pillows when we checked in. We ended up leaving a night early and our entire family canceled 3 additional rooms because of our experience. Definitely stay somewhere else.

I recently went to The Grill at Los Gatos and was pleasantly surprised. It is a great place to meet for a casual gathering. We had dinner and played cards. Food is very affordable. Check it out if youre looking for a comfortable location!

I stayed for 1 night here & as the saying goes - You get what you pay for. Ive stayed a lot of places all over the world and I have never stayed in a place more disgusting than this. It wasnt just inexpensive it was cheap. Bedside light didnt work...

This place seems like it used to be an old dorm or something. The rooms are in groups of buildings around the area and they are right next door to Los Gatos School.The photos online of this place are probably about 10 years old and the place hasnt changed in those years. The outside area is really nice but the rooms themselves are outdated.We walked into a room that looked like it was from the 70s. The carpet is old, they have an old heater and air conditioner. The TV was missing the buttons on it to do anything with it.We opened the cabinet that has the fridge and then opened the cabinet that has the microwave and boom, we found a cockroach. We killed it right away but then looked everywhere to see if there were anymore. I looked under the beds and found garbage under them.The shower is so small it is almost like it was made for students. They have a medicine cabinet which looks really old.The linen felt like rough sandpaper and I was awaken by the neighbor snoring and I could hear it through the walls.

Here for the Cats Hill races, and needed a last minute place for the night that was pet friendly. The staff was very helpful over the phone and in person when we got there. The grounds are very pretty and theres a nice courtyard. They have bigger fancier rooms, but we booked a basic but very clean king with an extremely comfortable bed with five comfy pillows. There was a small refrigerator and microwave, and two complimentary bottles of water. We had a sliding glass door that opened out to a small patio with a table and 2 chairs that overlook the courtyard. Pretty close to downtown as well, and in a nice safe area with safe parking. There is a restaurant, a bar, and a nice outdoor pool. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The stay here was horrible, The room was filthy. the carpet was extremely filthy with a lot of stains that appeared people had animals in the room and they pottyd everywhere, theres was a wall unit A/C and a portable unit in the bed room that made a lot of noise and had a towel in front to regulate air flow, the toilet ran continuously and I believe the people 2 doors down were smoking and they live there! Not a good place to stay at any price. When you search the website it shows this beautiful place with a restaurant and bar it shows a full breakfast menu but they say they dont have any of that, funny when you go outside early morning it smells like theyre cooking. Theres another building of rooms attached behind the office thats roped off wonder what those accommodations are? Anyway we wont be back, Best Western across the street is EXCELLENT!

This place was awesome. The front desk people were nice and very attentive. Me and family members were there for the 4th July holiday weekend and it was fantastic! We reserved 2 rooms with double beds for a group of 7. Rooms were big and super clean.

Depressing, unclean feeling, outdated, sparse. Old cracked chair. Nasty, noisey heater. Small bathroom (though it was cleaner than everything else.) Fridge, good size, needed to be cleaner. And stove. Couch cushions sink. Dark--no light in living room area.Their breakfast & gym, & bar were discontinued/closed. They charge a daily non-refundable cleaning fee even if you dont have any maid service, & even though it wadnt been vacuumed before we arrived.Property is spacious, like an old apartment complex with several buildings. But old is the operative word here, sparse, depressing, funky interiors. Paid non refundable 4 nights $1k. I didnt even stay 5 hours.Does have good TV. Bed linens seemed clean. Has a dishwasher!!Has sliding doors that can slide to block TV &/or separate the bed/closet into is own room. Dishes seemed clean.Maybe less depressing in daytime if open curtain to sliding glass doors that open to grassy area between buildings to get some light in, and change the view?Furniture is old, mismatched, dark, & showing a lot of wear & tear.Seriously needs a facelift. I didnt want to touch anything.I didnt even stay the night, despite paying for 4.Would not return.

Hotel desperately needs updating (gutted) & deep-cleaned. Everything is in desperate need of replacement - from the sliding door to the patio, the beds, all furnishings and most-importantly, the bathroom. The wall air conditioner is loud, seems not to work consistently and while sitting on the patio we noticed the unit above us was leaking. Everything is very dated (like 40+ years dated) The location is beautiful but I’d never stay here again. Look elsewhere.

This place carries the charm of Los Gatos in such a nostalgic way. The staff is kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and quiet. Great balconies and beautiful landscaping as well. Ill definitely be back the next time I visit home! Im also very happy to see the sign looking good and the bougenvillias brightly blooming. This spot is a true gem.

Great hotel for the rate, excellent location. Rooms were clean, heater worked (it was chilly this week!) and front desk offered a $10 a day credit if I skipped housekeeping service (which I always do anyway) so we got a $50 food credit at the front (shelf stable foods, candy bars, drinks etc) or if we had booked direct, a $50 credit off the total rate which would’ve been awesome (I booked third party). Only complaint is just that guests were loud and in the halls, certainly not the hotel’s fault. Will definitely stay again when we visit next year!

Not a great experience at all. This place needs a lot of updating and cleanliness. Old AC. When switched on blows black dust on the pillow. Garbage bin was super full for the building and no one cleared it. Dirty sheets. Spiders in the room. Changed rooms still found spiders.Kids said it resembles Shitz Creek.Didn’t expect this in Los Gatos.

It needs updating badly. The people at the front desk were great. Very nice. Housekeeping kept forgetting stuff in our room. The last morning we were there, we saw a cockroach crawling across the room. Luckily we were leaving in 5 minutes and my husband stepped on it and killed it. That kind of grossed me out!

The place in run down. All the staff except two in the office are doing the bare minimum. We walked into a very dirty room. Our puppy found an m&m and cranberry on the first day. In our bathroom is a ant problem. Also pincher bugs with a spider in the window. Housekeeping basically just restocked for our arrival. When we complained about the ants they came for a deep cleaning. They cleaned the bathroom and cleaned behind the fridge. Used our soap and sponge to clean our dishes(like cleaning dishes is going to help with ants) We had to point out the windows, stop them from using raid because its not dog safe and used our own stem spray again. We kept cleaning the room ourselves since we stayed for a couple of weeks. We had stayed here before it was a huge disappointment. Little things like the screen doors lock on the outside. No carbon monoxide detector. A fire extinguisher with no date of expiration. The place has gone down hill with the new owners its really sad. Your paying for the grounds, breakfast and pool. Which the grounds has beer bottles, cigarettes, and other trash the staff walks by over and over.

NOISY! The Clientele is a mixed bag of construction crew workers who stay week-to-week and random college kids who seem to be away from helicopter parents for the first time in their lives and are cutting loose. The competing noise from these groups who let out random, drunken whoop-whoos all night into the wee hours is beyond annoying! Apparently, there is no hotel Security or management on the grounds controlling these groups.We had to pay $35.00 per night to have our 10 lbs. Dog with us in case she created a mess, yet the sewer construction guys 2 rooms over from us can stack empty beer cans on their patio and leave trash every where for the 4 days of our stay! Our dog is better behaved.And yes, the rooms are dated as others have stated. The photos on the website must be decades old. We had a good laugh watching the in-room TV commercial about this hotel showing pristine grounds, a spa-like pool; and an on-site bar/ restaurant (permanently closed). This place must have really been something in its heyday, but no longer.Im writing this review at 2:30AM having been woke up for the 3rd time tonight by the millennials above us who keep dragging wrought iron patio chairs over the balcony and talking as if it was mid-day. I might be willing to put up with the rowdy guests and dated furnishings if the daily rate were cheap--its not. Never again!

My room is a fully stocked kitchen with pans and silverware as a traveler this is priceless. Clean -- everything worked. I was here at the beginning of April and the pool/restaurant were closed. Their grab and go breakfast was good. Take the sausage croissant (Jimmy Deans- the ones at the grocery store) or breakfast burrito back to your room and microwave it. Dont forget to ask for fruit.

I had to work in Santa Cruz last weekend November 13th.All of the inexpensive motels in Santa Cruz were pretty pricey, $180 and up so when Expedia suggested Los Gatos Lodge at $105 and they had great reviews so we made the choice to stay here.Glad we did as the room was clean and comfortable and for $35 we were able to bring our little dog who had a fenced-in patio so she could go outside without our worrying about her wandering off.Breakfast was okay as its a Jimmy Dean sausage egg sandwich or a burrito but with the fruit and yogurt and juice it was fine.Everyone at the front desk is very helpful and accommodating.Downtown Los Gatos is just a couple of minutes away by car and theres plenty of free parking.Definitely will be back.April 2022 and Im back because this place is a great value and a great place to stay. Nice grounds to walk around, the room is clean albeit a bit dated but so what? Its clean. The front desk is awesome.Ill be back!

Possibly a different reason for my visit compared to most. I needed to get away a night to clear my mind.The room I was given was very private. I felt alone and really liked that part of it. The room was very clean. There is a patio for each room which is awesome because most Hotels I go to dont have a patio. The patio was covered partially by a tree which added to the privacy of my room. The free internet in the room was fast and even though the hotel was full, I didnt notice any lag.I went downstairs and they have a full bar there with a kitchen and purchase a Jalapeno Chicken Burger with a cocktail and headed back to my room... The sandwich was Super Bomb!In the morning, I went downstairs and ate eggs, toast, ham, and country fried potatoes as my continental breakfast. It was tasty and filled me up for the rest of the day.I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it for a family or self.

Old and run down. Dirty rooms - hair in the bathroom from previous guests. Walls are thin, so you can hear everyone around you. Room was musty and smelly, I wouldnt walk barefoot on the nasty carpet. Noisy people out at the pool until 2AM. For the money, do yourself a favor and sleep elsewhere.

Very overpriced. The room was awful. The A/C unit was very loud and old. The carpet is from the 70s. The bathroom was tiny with bad lighting. The shower was miniture and sealant was peeling. I wish I had flip flops to wear while showering. It took at least 5 minutes to obtain a consistent water temperature using the unlabeled sensitive shower valves which turn in opposite directions. We stayed here one night for a wedding in the area. I would not go back here or recommend this place to anyone. In fact I am writing this because I encourage you to look elsewhere. Sorry for the bad review but it is accurate.

We had a santa cruz weekend getaway and booked our hotel here! It was a good deal with Santa cruz being 30 min away. The rooms were clean. We got garden view + a patio to hangout and see the hills.Our only issue was next door guest were having a altercation throughout the nightSecurity was able to handle it quickly Otherwise I definitely would come back!

I booked this hotel not expecting much based off of the reviews. My experience was completely the opposite of the reviews, everyone at the front desk was always polite, when my door was having trouble opening at 2 AM I was able to call someone and get help, the grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the pool goes down to 9 feet. The bedroom was large and comfortable, and just a nice place to stay.

When I first arrived at the Los Gatos Lodge I felt it appeared to be an apartment complex. But reception went smoothly and I was put into an upstairs Suite. The room was very well equipped with an amazing jacuzzi dual sinks and a very comfortable bed. I was able to get a lot of work done and there was no extra noise. overall I would say the experience was quite good for what I paid.

First of all, when you read my review, keep in mind that I am a traveler who is fine with no frills.I liked the dog friendly policy (only $35), price, and location.Although I am a loyal Marriott fan, their $150 pet fee is not a bargain for a single night stay. I just needed a clean place for sleeping overnight after visiting the far pricier (lodgings) Santa Cruz. Cecilio checked me in earlier at 12:40 pm. I was provided with the WiFi password. Although their bar and grill were closed, I bought great eating and drinking supplies in Santa Cruz for fair prices. Downtown Los Gatos is walkable, but pricey. I found the room a little stuffy, but drawing the curtains and keeping the AC on while I was out helped, as well as letting the cool evening air blow in using the screen door. I had a good nights sleep.

The rooms were nice and had lots of space and the view off the balcony to the pool was beautiful. The staff was also great. We had an extra person staying with us in our room and they brought an extra cot in for them. though there are no outlets near the bed we all still survived without our phones at night. The atmosphere,views and rooms were some of the best I have had at. I stayed for the weekend as my daughter was moving into her college dorm.I’m a New Yorker and used to having 24/7 access to almost everything. We checked in late because of our delayed flight and the restaurant staff was extremely accommodating as to getting us a meal.They also offered me a discount on an additional night because our return flight home was also extremely delayed.

I really like the setting of Los Gatos lodge. I decided to try the bar-and-grill. I was very disappointed with the staff that was in the bar at that time. There was 2 of us and the bar was not crowded. But we both felt that we were totally invisible. We sat there for 15 minutes and finally had to wave down the cocktail waitress. We placed our order she delivered the food we never saw her again until we have to flag or down to get our check. On a positive note the cocktails were good and the food was also good. The waitress scene brought it down to a 3 star. All in all a nice place to stay.

Its a good place if you want to feel your in the forest, however, still have curtains, and carpets. Bathtubs have been painted, the hotel was built in the 1950s. They used to have wonderful breakfast, and room service. At the desk you can get snacks.

So... I kind of don’t want to highly recommend this place just because it is a HIDDEN GEM of Los Gatos. Literally the best landscape, foliage is on point, everything is green, and you are in the heart of everything! (location-wise). I’ve been here twice and will probably never stray from this spot just because of the price (it’s super reasonable and understated). Romantic, clean, and has all of the amenities- what more can you ask for?Updated after initial review: the microwave and fridge never worked. The toilet was finicky but we worked with it. The phone lines were crossed and every time we used it to call the front desk we would get someone else’s room. So we called using our cell phones to contact the hotel. When we finally reached front desk, they sounded irritated that we would even ask to be transferred to the restaurant but we obviously couldn’t get through because the phones didn’t work! Upon check out I notified the front desk and they really had nothing to say to me but “is that all?” (not even a sorry or some sort of compensation for our trouble). I’m not the kind of patron to look for freebies or complain but I just figured a simple “I’m sorry” would have been sufficient. Really disappointing as I would assume that would be the first words to be said to me. In any case, I hastily left this review before the stay was over.

We found the Los Gatos Lodge, while in the area for a memorial service. The lodge is not will represented in the on line discount hotel services. I came across it doing my own style of search. I found the price. Including taxes and fees, to be very acceptable. The location has great access to Hwy 17. Also Hwy 9 if you are going up to the big basin park. The room was clean and cozy. The bar and grill is sort of a local hang out, and the people are great. The Food was fantastic and nicely priced. I will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel and staff. Judith the front manager is amazing with motherly charm and hospitality. The one male manager is strictly business and not as hospital and the associates seem nervous around him but after a fun conversation he did smile and loosen up a lil (43 seconds🤣). If youre staying or driving through, please take break and walk the grounds/gardens. The landscaping is a must. If a tree does produce a fruit the others sure to smell like they would.

My favorite place to stay in the Bay area. Not your run of the mill hotel. Is it special? No, not really. But how many hotels are? Do they do everything right? Absolutely! The rooms are different than your big chain hotels with a cool, comfortable feel to them. And again, they do everything right. It was move in weekend at UCSC so almost all area hotels were either fully booked or had jacked their prices so high it didnt make sense to stay there. Los Gatos was available and had reasonable prices so we gave it a try. My room was nice enough but seemed to be designed for a very short person. The mirrors and shower head were so low I had to bend down to use them. The bathroom had mold in the corners. The place in general stayed noisy until after midnight...on the other hand the grounds are pretty and its convenient to Santa Cruz. For the price we paid it was ok. It just may be due for a bit of an overhaul.

Bottom floors have a sliding glass door with a table & two chairs, to sit outside & enjoy a park style setting. Our room had big TV on the wall. Furniture was old but well maintained. Our front door faced pine trees. Once the staff finally got the billing situation straightened out, it was one of the more pleasing places weve stayed at. The room had a coffee maker, small fridge, microwave, full size ironing board and iron, hair dryer, and a stand up shower. The bed was decent. I would say the only disappointing thing is the free breakfast.. the selection was not very appealing with the basic cold cereal, yogurt, coffee and tea, and breads and bagels. There were warming trays that were empty both times I went in at 7 and 8 (it is from 7-9am). Ive had much better breakfasts at bargain hotels.

It’s was ok for a quick place to crash for one night. Very quick check in, but wasn’t told the WiFi password. I assumed it’d be on the welcome instructions in the room, but no instructions were left, only the channel guide. After 30 attempts at calling zero from the room phone and about 10 from my cell, I called the after hours emergency number (8:42 am) and got the VM. The recording I got from the regular number and pressing 0 said office hours start at 7 am. Maybe they were being held hostage and I’ll regret leaving this review. I have never left a review - good or bad, at a restaurant, hotel or otherwise, but I felt compelled to here. We stayed in room 115 and I would never stay here again. The wallpaper was held together with clear pushpins, the carpet was filthy and the bathroom was appalling. Worse than the condition, was the operational use of the bathroom. The water turned on in the sink by itself more than once and when you turned the cold water on a pounding from the wall shook the fixtures! The shower had two temperatures - scolding hot or ice cold - nothing in between. Every shower resulted in standing outside the shower to finish, but luckily, the piping in the wall would make a loud, horrendous sound signaling that a change was about to occur (even though you didn’t change the fixtures). The chemical, disinfectant odor is absolutely atrocious. After the first night we stopped by the front desk to minimally ask if the shower could be evaluated. We were told they were booked but otherwise we could switch rooms. I asked for the maintenance man to look at the shower and was told he’d be by the next day at 9:30 a.m. The morning came and went and he never came nor was there any follow up. Do not stay here. Do not waste your money. We seriously considered leaving, despite having used our hotel rewards in advance. Wish we would have! Alfred Hitchcock Route 66 Truck Stop hotel gone wrong! Beware!

Attended my cousins wedding at this place. Staff was very friendly aside from the bartenders. Food tasted amazing and the wedding was beautiful. Giving 3 stars because of the poor attitude of the bartender. I wasnt drinking and I got the short end of the stick from them. Also the pavement here is VERY uneven in multiple areas and my 60 year old aunt hit pretty hard from tripping over the uneven walkway outside our room. Management didnt seem to care about it. As far as the wedding went I give 5 stars. Fix the attitudes of the bartenders and the pavement and the lodge would also get 5 stars! Beds were comfy and rooms were clean.

The only reason this gets 2 stars is the front desk and bar staff.The pull out bed is unusable. Shouldnt even be used. The TV is mostly static. Hard to see whats on screen. We are on vacation so the tv isnt a big deal. The AC is so loud we had to turn it off at night or all three of us couldnt sleep. They do have a stand-alone unit in the bedroom. All in all, super cheap hotel. Need a place to sleep and lock your belongings when you are out? Great. Want anything else out of a hotel? Prepaid for our room on Expedia yet the hotel still put a hold on my card for the entire amount of the room rental plus another $50. If that wasn’t bad enough, the girl that checked us in said there would be no charge for the rollaway that’s we requested yet today we discovered another $45 charge for the rollaway. Called and spoke to the GM and rather than doing the right thing she decided to stick to her guns and refused to reverse the charge. However, the overt rudeness of the manager here simply compels me to lay out the facts. Highly energetic and fun for the most part, but a group of young men in the room next to me were Blaring (and I mean window rattling, cleaning staff held their ears). I could almost put up with the sound, if it werent for the lyrics, offensive to women and people of color. I asked the front desk if I could move my room. They eventually did, grudgingly, and said, we often have events here, the kids are chaperoned, you should understand that if you wish to come back. ...they already knew I was a regular.Visit C - I was taking a nap and a woman barged in with all of her luggage. She unnecessarily apologized profusely, I said, not your fault. The front desk had double booked the room I was in.Visit D - When I first entered my room, the toilet bowl had someone elses urine and TP in it. I took it in stride & just flushed it. The toilet overflowed all over my shoes and long dress I was wearing for an event I was going to later that evening. I was again grudgingly given a different room but not until I was interrogated about whether it was indeed I who clogged the toilet! WTF?Visit E - I checked in after working all night and was enjoying a bath. While in my bath, someone started banging very loudly on my door. They screamed maintainance, maintenance! Open up! I said, why? I am in the bath tub. I cant open up. They then screamed at me either open up or call the front desk. I went to call the front desk but apparently building 7 has no working phones (see the following visit). So, I had to get out of my bath, and walk to the front desk to see what was happening. They said it was the wrong room. No apology.Visit F - I booked a room online that was facing the pool courtyard. I needed quiet having worked late again and facing the road/parking lot wasnt what I wanted. I was first put in a room facing the parking lot. I told the front desk that I got the wrong room, I booked a room facing the pool. She said please hold. I was on hold for 10 minutes before I was hung up on. I called back, was put on hold for another 5 minutes and then hung up on again. So then I went to the front desk. The woman at the desk insisted there is no such thing as booking a pool/courtyard view (not the first time Ive been called a liar here), so I showed her my reservation and confirmation. She huffed off (no apology or ackowledgement that she had just called me a liar and was wrong). She was gone for 5 minutes before the only kind employee Ive ever met here said, are you ok? are you being helped? I honestly said I didnt know and gave her my cell phone number and said if she comes back will you have her call me? She did, eventually. She called and said we can put you in building 7 facing the pool and courtyard not true, remember, I once stayed in building 7. One side faces parking lot, the other the highway. I told her that, she said I was wrong. I have photos and anyone can visit and see. anyway. she said no other options, shes sending someone with the key but please make sure you ring the front desk when I get there. But this was building number 7. No phone. The manager at checkout accused ME of being difficult. Just WOW!

I just stopped to visit a friend who was staying for the weekend. The Los Gatos Lodge is fantastic because it is economically priced lodging in a town that otherwise does not even remotely claim to accommodate unwealthy individuals. It is set in a nice quiet and semi secluded area of town, while still being very close to ask the amenities if downtown. I wasnt able to move in on my desired date, so I decided to stay outside the city. I found Los Gatos Lodge online, and gave it a shot. The main reason was because I was traveling with my dog. This hotel allows dogs, and they dont mind if you leave your pet in the room for awhile if you want to hit the nearby town. As long as theyre well behaved. So I went to the front office and ask her why I got a room with no view. She says people car pool together and get 2 rooms, and the morning shifts fault I didnt get a room facing the court yard..stupid simple lies, She just didnt want to give me a good room with a nice view. She thought I was one of the construction people that stay there, and they always give the crappy rooms out to them!!!

Love this place. I can bring my dog. Large green belts Its quiet & clean. Bar & restuarant on grounds. Open mon- sat. Pool access. Morning breakfast warm food eggs, breakfast meat, hash browns, fruits yogurts or cereals available 7am-9 pm or 10am. House keeping is great. Rooms are supplied w a small fridge and microwave. A facility to do your laundry. Also a gym on property. Right next to the 17 frwy.

If you reserve a room at this hotel hoping it will resemble the pictures on the website, you will be shocked with the deplorable condition of your room. The room you get will in no way look anything like the pictures on the internet. I made this mistake and reserved two rooms in order to attend a wedding in Los Gatos. This hotel should be listed as a one star hotel at best. We had no water pressure, mold in our shower, peeled paint in shower, sheets that were stained and torn, safety chain on door broken, rooms had strong odor, tiles on bathroom floor were broken, stains on wall, bedspread was stained, very worn and thin. If you complain to the manager (C.R.) he will only tell you, you should have stayed somewhere else. Wish it would have been that easy! I am filing a report with BBB, environmental protection agency (mold), public health (mold) and a letter to the editor. Los Gatos was a lovely, quaint town, however this hotel is a prime example of false advertising and price gouging.

Anyone giving this more then one star was probably paid by the owner or has been living in a dog house til their stay. The small rooms smell bad and are definitely not post 1983, the shower is tiny with just enough water pressure to reach the middle of the tiny shower. The bathrooms have those weird flip up (like blinds ) glass that opens to the walkway out front. Plus side is the over priced dingy bar does have liquor as long you approach the bar from your table, as tables are not served. Another plus is pets are allowed so if ur animal lover then you wont mind the smell or noise. A coworker was actually peed on by a large dog from an up stairs balcony, it was hilarious to say the least! So if you want to throw your money into a sink hole or if youve been living in a dog house and dont mind the smell of said dog house then this is the place for you! Dont forget to leave 5 stars so everyone will know your a lair after theyve been duped into a stay at the lodge! P.S. also another coworker actually found a rats nest in one of the rollaway folding beds! Yeah seriously!

On a Staycation. we brought our own google chromecast... the TV(HDMI) read that it was there. there was no way to select YES on the remote... definitely needs a tech upgrade(maintenance that brought 2 different remotes, came and didnt even try using the remote, and told us our technology was no good)and needs more outlets... to charge devices.

The buffalo wings were awesome! My calamari and salad was awesome along side the beautiful lady that brought us our food. However, the bartender with the fake breasts, blonde hair and face full of make up was inattentive, rude and very uneasy to deal with. We had simple questions about our tab, in which we had no problem paying, just wanted to understand and she IMMEDIATELY became offensive. We travel for work across California. The Lodge is a venerable bar and restaurant that still holds some of the charm and allure it used to have when it was the most hopping place in Los Gatos. While it used to be a real meat market, The Lodge is now simply quiet bar with good service and excellent drinks.

Its a badly outdated hotel with thin walls. One of the worst things was that during breakfast in the public eating area some of the maintenance workers were speaking extremely vulgar Spanish. We just left this place this morning. First time ever getting out of a hotel long before check out time, but we couldnt stand another minute there. The wall paper was buckled and peeling. The shower had peeling caulk and divots in the porcelain - I kept my sandals on. The sofa bed and a.c. unit both gave up such a cloud of dust and mildew stench, we couldnt use either. This morning, my son actually pointed out a bug crawling on the carpet. I would not stay here again, not even with a buy one get two or three nights free. Only one star for the free breakfast, which was substantial.

I mean you get what you pay for, so the lodge itself is on par with the price you pay, its not the Hyatt Regency, but you arent paying that rate either. The problem I have is if you advertise that you have Wi-Fi, you should have it. And it should work! Which clearly isnt the case. If you are in town for a week, and book a place expecting to get some work done, and you cant because there is no Wi-Fi that is simply unacceptable. Upon complaining I was told, yeah it doesnt work good in the rooms, you have to go to the lobby to get a good signal. Uh, what? Not acceptable.
