Ms. Picky herself is very impressed! 😄 Had the pleasure of speaking with Lauren to quote/schedule, Josue to drop off, David the manager, who answered my endless questions so patiently, and even Francisco the tech that aligned my truck. This shop is truely a class act with an owner that treats his employees well and it shows. The fact they have been in business for over 30 years speaks volumes. The dark solid office door with the entrance sign pointing at it had me concerned for a moment, but stepping into the office and waiting area was a relief. It was very clean and smelled fresh even with a clean bathroom immediately accessible. Complementary coffee station was a nice touch as well. As a female, I felt very comfortable in my surroundings, with the people, and the rates were fair. Went in with a truck pulling to the right, pulsing hard on the steering wheel, and a front left wheel that clearly seemed out of whack. Left with it driving like a dream. Thanks Los Gatos Auto Service for a job well done and a wonderful 1st experience. Im sure Ill be seeing you soon with more complex jobs!

First time experience was great. All my questions were answered. All staff were friendly and open. No pressure from staff when receiving recommendations for additional service. John helped me and he was knowledgeable and gave me advice as well as things to look for going forward and for future service. The digital inspection is great to have too. The shop was clean too. Look no further for those searching for auto service that is real, open and experienced.

For some reason, this shop likes to overcharge… I haven’t really been bothered by it too much, especially since they’re super professional and friendly, but this most recent time, will certainly be my last time.To give you a little background, I was quoted over $1.3k for a spark plug and ignition coil replacement.I called about 9 other shops to compare prices because that price didn’t sit well with me-and let me just say I’m so glad I did, because every other shop within a 30 mile radius was quoting me around $750-$850.The other shops even questioned why I needed ignition coils replaced, which I told them I didn’t have a good answer- I was only relaying what Los Gatos Auto Service had told me, and when i even asked Los Gatos Auto Service about why charged so much more, and why my ignition coils needed replacement, they gave me a very vague explanation saying “we recommend that everything should be replaced…”Even taking my car to the other shop, and presenting the diagnostics paper that Los Gatos Auto Service had given me, they had failed to put the diagnostics codes down, making their report basically useless for the next shop to try and help.After being a loyal customer for however long, in addition to having a family member working there, I was hoping for better communication and attentiveness. I understand labor is a big contributor to prices being so high at auto repair shops, but there comes a fine line between a reasonable price and ripping off your customers.

Super impressed with the service here. I went in with a non-regular repair work (to replace a steering coupler - which is my from own diagnosis).While their initial check seemed to point at a different part of the steering shaft, they continued to be supportive and explain that the symptom may not go away with just the steering coupler replacement that I have been insisting on.At no point were they getting rude or frustrated with the discussions. Eventually when we found a TSB for the steering coupler replacement they were a little more hopeful that this could fix it. And eventually it did resolve the symptom - no way to know yet if it resolved all associated problems.I am glad I found this place as dealers try to force unnecessary repairs. I was super impressed with the knowledge that they all had on cars. I am hoping to make it my regular maintenance place.

My long time mechanic retired and I found Los Gatos Auto Service. They were wonderful, so helpful getting my Audi up to date with what it needed. They were professional, so very helpful and on time. Love my new Audi home.

The service was great. I was informed every step of the way about the services that would be provided. It was a 90,000 mile service and I want my Prius to last, so there were many things to consider. The staff was courteous from beginning to end. My car runs great!

I have had my cars serviced by Los Gatos Auto for over 30 years. I won’t have anyone else work on my cars. Dependable, trustworthy and honest. Could not recommend them more highly.

I have been having my Toyota serviced at Los Gatos Auto going on three years now.The positive environment, the ease of speaking with the mechanic who works on my vehicle and the high level of integrity are my main reasons for referring people to Los Gatos Auto.

This place was referred to me by another auto repair shop. I let Lauren know what needed to be done and asked for a rough estimate. She seemed kind enough, asked for all my information including license plate so she could ask her technician and get back to me. But, I didnt get a call back. I followed up the next day and left a message to be sure she had my correct phone number. Its been over a week and I still havent heard back. Obviously I have to go elsewhere now because this was a somewhat urgent matter.

My family and I have taken our vehicles to this shop for several years, they are trustworthy and do good work, as well as providing great customer service. They utilize modern software that emails you a report showing pictures and notes of what they found on your vehicle, which is very useful. I have no hesitation recommending this shop to anyone.
