This store is very close to home, and is my first choice for specific gardening and household supplies, including furnace filters. I found two 25 kink-resistant replacement hoses at a very fair price during my most recent visit. Thanks, Los Gatos Ace Hardware.

This is a hardware store with top notch service. There are so many helpful staff members on the floor ready to help you find the product you need to fix, paint, service or repair something in your home. When you walk down the aisle it’s not unusual for you to run across two staff members who will greet you and also ask you if you need any help. Not only are they ready to help, but they are super knowledgeable about the products and will even walk you to the isle where it is located. If you don’t need any large items like lumber that Home Depot has this is the store that has everything that you could find and get in and out of the store without walking down these long huge isles wasting your time. Ace Hardware has almost everything. Go check it out if you have never been there. It’s worth a visit.

Emilio at the paint counter took great care of us and was very patient and personable as well as professional and he even remembered our names after about a week of meeting him at the counter knowing he has had multiple days of work with many customers in between then revisiting the store. Good customer service and hopefully he gets recognitionVery clean organized store but it is just a bit pricey but whats not these days... All around no complaints and props to Emilio 👍🤓

Just super helpful staff, and its been that way for decades. They employ teens as well as knowledgeable adults, all of whom ask you if they can help whenever you look like you might need it. Its sometimes shocking at how helpful they are after shopping at understaffed big box stores. This is what you want a local hardware store to be like, and I buy stuff here I would otherwise save a couple bucks by ordering on Amazon because I like having them here and its worth it.

Good selection and help. Only negative is they could not find me in computer as I didnt have my card. Records not updated and narrowed by store. My information is shared with Mountain View and Palo Alto store with no problem so your explanation means nothing to me. We went back, got a senior discount and met the manager who took care of returns and provided excellent service. I would now give them 5 stars!

This store is great. There is always plenty of staff on the floor and they are so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable I never have trouble finding help. This is a where I come for the hard to find screw or bolt and I dont have to buy a packet when I need only a couple.I come here often for home projects. Just recently, I came in for a plumbing fix. I needed an adapter to connect my drinking water faucet to my water filter. Collin Roberts was extremely helpful. He, along with a couple others, spent an hour brainstorming and scouring the store for the right fix. He even called a plumbing store to inquire if they carried a particular part. At the end, Collin came up with a great solution. He was so patient and didnt give up.Im so glad we have an Ace Hardware in our neighborhood and with such great service and products I need.

I had to run in for a couple of quick things one day and I have to say I am very impressed. The store itself was very clean and well organized, but the especially impressive part was the staff. I dumped into Darren who was able to help me find what I needed for my project while also giving me some extremely helpful advise on better quality materials to use. He even went out of his way to take me to another department to get a couple of keys cut to save me time as well. 10/10 will be going back there anytime I need something.

I came in looking for a grill, the assistance I got was amazing and I found everything I was looking for very quickly, they even loaded it into the car for me.A few weeks later I get a hand written letter from them, letting me know that the price was incorrect and it was actually $100 cheaper. The owner had already refunded my card and was just letting me know. This is the type of honesty and customer care that will keep me coming back. They didn’t have to do that, and I would have been none the wiser if they didn’t.Can’t recommend this place enough!

One of the best Ace Hardware stores around. Ive been going here since 1975 (Coast to Coast Hardware back then) and theyve always been one of the best. They stock almost everything you could need and theres always an employee walking around that is ready to help you out. Im a General Contractor and I shop here every chance I get.

Beware! This stores doesnt accept return from other stores. I bought a couple of ntenna poles on Manteca a week ago, tried to return this in Los Gatos store and they cant receive them back because they were purchased on a different store.Better go to home depot or lowes if you dont want to have this kind of problems

Be aware of this store return policy. They’re always making it difficult to return items here. My husband told me and today I experienced it myself. Bought 4 Christmas garlands for my stairway and I just need 2. So I came to return the others. They said it’s final sale because of holiday items. Also have to return by December 19th. Well, if I have known and see an obvious sign they put next to the items, I wouldn’t buy 4 of them thinking I could return it. Or at least, when I checked out, someone should have at least told me about the policy and the limited date of return etc . So now I can’t do anything, not even store credit. That’s it. Never ever come back. Bad bad return policy and very shady not honesty at all. I would Rather go to Home Depot or Michael next time.

This place is awful. The scheduler never allows the employees time off. Working 5 days a week with 2 days off split apart. Not even consecutive days off. Works their employees into a severe depression. Just look how unhappy the employees are if you don’t believe me.

Well, ACE is the place!!! Today’s success is specialty key making. If you don’t know SlickLocks, they are the deadbolts for cargo van sliding doors…. Normally it’s a special order key, but I thought I’d check with ACE to see if on the off chance they had a match……. Almost! They had a key with a slightly different shape. The cut was fine and fit easily into the tumbler but the shape of the key was too wide for protective housing that surrounds the lock itself. Low and behold, Zach had the solution!!! Hand-shape the other end of the key to match…….basically, custom making the whole key end-to-end!!! Saved me time, cost and hassle of multiple trips. Thanks Zach!!……. You always have a solution.

Love this Ace Hardware in Los Gatos and glad it is so close to our home. I never get my questions answered at Home Depot even if I ask several employees questions about a specific product. Every employee at this Ace Hardware goes above and beyond to answer my questions or they find someone who can assist me. I’m there at least once a week. I’ve bought paint many times and I’m always there for garden flowers, soil, mulch and flower pots. They were very helpful in helping me find different types of fertilizers for different flowers; now, all my flowers are healthy and in bloom. Sometimes, I find unique flowers here that I couldn’t find at nurseries. I bought my Christmas Tree lights here and found some really nice Christmas ornaments. They have great service with a smile. They even have the best cleaning products as far as brands I have not seen at grocery stores. All staff members and owner are very polite and professional.

2 stars...one for the polite young man greeting customers as they came in and out. The other for the woman who told me what aisle I could find nails in. I could not find what I needed, so I walked around until I found an employee in a different department who was already helping someone else. He called for assistance. No one came. I waited 15 minutes after the assistance call, and left without buying anything.Sad thing is, I thought by shopping and supporting this neighborhood hardwood store, that I would receive good customer service and get out quickly. Instead, I will now go to the big box Home Depot.

This Ace Store is the best in our area. They stock more items than the other Ace Hardware stores. Even more has many items that Home Depot and Lowes dont stock. The online order and then pick up is very easy as makes the pick up quick and simple.

Came in a for a few things and I was lucky I ran into Tristan (sorry if I got your name wrong). Greeted me and then asked what I needed. This guy is super smart. I asked for a specific screw, he not only took me to the screws, he knew exactly which bin the very specific screw was in and its corresponding washer. He also helped me with the rest of what I needed. Thank you for the awesome service. Check out was very quick as well.

Excellent customer service here! You can always get some help and even the young kids seem to have answers to your questions. Good selection for most items. Amazing selection of cleaning supplies. You can find a product to clean or polish just about anything. I like the garden section, and plumbing, electrical and paint always have what you need. It seems a bit pricey compared to the big box stores, but you get great service here.

Not the place with the helpful hardware folks.I went here recently to pick up a couple things I needed. The first time the employee I asked for help confidently handed me the wrong tools. When I went back to return them and buy the correct ones, I asked someone else for advice. They ended up getting me what I needed, but were not subtle about the fact that they resented being pulled into customer service work (a manager perhaps). Today on an unrelated task I went to Home Depot instead and had a much more pleasant experience.Selection is decent, but I wouldnt go here again unless I already knew exactly what I needed.

I had one of the best customer experiences that I have had in a long time. I was referred to this store for a coded car key. The guys that helped me went above and beyond to try and solve my problem. With COVID and SIP I recommend Home Depot instead. Ace is being way overly cautious and only letting a couple people in the whole store at a time! There is a long wait just to get in! I was at Home Depot yesterday on a Sunday and didn’t have to wait. Today on a Monday I am waiting out in the heat due to only allowing a very minimum amount in the store. Usually I like this place better as you can get in and out quicker and it’s not such a big warehouse and much easier to park however with these overly strict guidelines I think I will not be coming back

This hardware store is my go to place for Home fix it yourself essentials as well as some gardening supplies. As you enter the store, you will be greeted and asked if you need help finding what you’re here to get. Very often they will have what you’re looking for. It should not be confused with the Home Depot. It is the neighborhood hardware store and as such carries higher end holiday, displays etc.

Really nice knowable people.They mostly know parts and hardware. Not all about the sale, but customer service too. Will measure your part so you get right size. Also they know where most things are in store and what they carry. Not afraid to refer you elsewhere if they cant or dont carry it. Go here all the time for my household hardware needs and even have found correct hardware for my bicycles here at better prices than bike shops. In one case, found out the bike shops all had 24 tpi bolts and all the bosses the custom frame I had were threaded 32 tpi. Ace had exactly what I needed. Great place, near by, dedicated staff. Big thumbs up.

I rarely give a place a five star rating but this particular ACE Hardware is at the top of their game. Plenty of staff that will always ask you if you need help. Never once have I spent time walking the isles looking for help. Despite the relative small size compared to a Home Depot or Lowes, I find they have a better selection and better quality stuff especially when it comes to nuts, bolts, and hardware.

Tried to return something and buy same in different color with same price. Ace wanted to charge me $5.32 more for an even swap. There was a coupon used in original purchase but manager couldn’t verbalize why I had to pay more. I assume the coupon is void when a return is made but I’m not sure because he couldn’t/wouldn’t state that. One thing I am sure of is I’ll not be shopping at this store again,

This store feels like a little country store to me ... like what youd find in a more rural area in the age pre-Amazon and Wal-Mart. They are super friendly and have a wide selection of so much! Stock is somewhat limited, but I seem to make do. Its perfect for that quick jaunt to grab one thing, in and out in a flash!

This was the Ace Hardware that I went to where I ordered a quart of white satin paint and they gave me high gloss paint it would not refund my money or give me the proper product. Walked in Friday with a busted swivel caster wheel on my Milwaukee hand truck. Both Chris and Zack went out of their way to fix it, including going to the back for two separate pairs of pliers for loosening the bolt before sanding it down on the replacement swivel caster wheel and helping me screw it in place. Left with a recommended wrench and screwdriver so I could fix any hand truck issues in the future. Ive also bought tape rolls here, and encountered nothing but friendly, helpful people. Recommended! And thanks to all of them.

Horrible customer service. I called yesterday and ask someone if they are able to look up my debit card to return some items since I lost my recipt, and she said yes they can. After 20 minutes driving going to the store in Los Gatos, CA, a girl at the register told me I can’t return my items by looking up my debit card. I told her that I called earlier and Someone told me I can return it if I i don’t have my recipet and they are able to look up my debit card. After calling the manager, I believe his name was Ralph. He was so rude, talking loud and yelling in front of other customers. Seems like he had some mental issue. That was a first time I shop at ACE HARDWARE because I usually go to homedepot.I will never ever go back there and I will file a complain about the store manager since he can’t manage his anger and made me feel really uncomfortable and scared because I thought he was about to attack me.They need to train their people about the return policy since the employees are not on a same page, and traine them for customer service as well. Since they don’t know anything about customer satisfaction.I will never go back there and I just realized how much I love homedepot and their customer service is outstanding!
