I did the weekend course. It was a great experience. The staff are very supportive throughout the entire process (orientation, theory, and clinical). My instructor was Ms. Melinda and she was amazing. Very insightful, very knowledgeable, and very approachable. If you have any questions about the skills or the theory, she will make sure you have it all down. I also had the opportunity to be taught by Ms. Elaine and Mr. Emil and they were great and helpful as well. This course prepares you well for the certification exam. You will need to work hard, but they will be there to help you throughout the process.

Ms. Kristine was my instructor for clinicals and she was a highlight throughout my experience with LASA. She made every situation a learning experience and helped connect real life situations to lessons we’ve learned in the lab which ultimately helped with regionals. Ms. Kristine was very knowledgeable and attentive, constantly checking in if we needed anything + breaking down skills into simple steps. I also very much enjoyed using Kahoot to practice test questions! 10/10 recommend LASA.

Recently attended LASA from June-July and had Ms. Kristine and Ms. Angela as my instructors. Ms. Kristine helped us in clinicals and prepared us for regionals further in depth. She was always there in case we ever needed anything at clinicals and always made sure we were at our best mental & physical state at the start of the day. 10/10 instructors & 10/10 recommend for your CNA training

Worst experience ever. Literally been trying for days to get more information on classes and they never reply. I have called, emailed, instagram message, tried chatting on their website. And nothing every time I ask for information they leave me on seen. Was super interested in attending this school but so far don’t recommend it if they can’t answer a simple question.

I took the weekend class in Long Beach. I learned a lot but the teacher we had was not professional. there was a situation that was uncalled for where the teacher verbally argued with a student a day before our last day in class. the teacher cussed a lot and all the class was afraid to speak up or ask questions. The program itself had very poor supplies. Only two beds with mannequins. The stethoscopes were deemed as usable but most were falling apart and the teacher never let us use them because she said they did not work. We had to use her personal one and we had to buy our own. I am grateful for the teacher we had even though she was not the best at being professional and we could not ask questions or she would scream and cuss at us. She was knowledgable and I know how to do the right thing by the resident.

I received my CNA Diploma from this school in 2022 & they are really good at providing details surrounding the lecture & skills to prepare you for the regional testing. Mrs. Melinda was my teacher and if your wanting a teacher who will be direct and provide insight on your learning style to retain what your learning then shes the teacher for you! Highly recommended school & teachers!

Absolutely loved my time here at LASA. Ms.Kristine was my instructor and she was one the best teachers. She went over each skill thoroughly and had us play games like kahoot which made the class a bit more fun. Would definitely recommend to someone who wants to become a CNA.

For the education and training I received, this program is NOT worth $1,800. There are so many other programs under $1k that are so much better quality. Our cohort had probably about 5/6 different instructors along our course time. During a vital time for our training and wrapping up our clinical experience, our instructor one day did not show up, and no communication was made between instructor and administrators; our cohort had wasted time and money driving to our clinical site to be stood up, with no explanation, and it happened 2 more times after this. Our instructor never returned and we were never given a reason. We missed a few days of instruction and we were told to make up by submitting skills videos to Anne, which she never even reviewed. Beatrice, or whoever is the head of the program takes way too long respond to emails/ messages, and its once the issue is past/ no longer urgent she happens to reply. Onto classroom, we had to switch from the Santa Fe site to this Long Beach site. The Santa Fe location was not golden, but it was much better than the Long Beach one. For $1,800 we had to practice on BROKEN mannequins, some missing limbs, hardly any supplies, and had an awful instructor after this, Mr. Carlton. He was extremely rude, always cutting students off and never allowing room for error. Whenever he was corrected on WRONG techniques, he would not accept corrections or comments. On top of this, for $1,800, Mr. Carlton had to take on our class on top of another one he was teaching. He would periodically jump between us in person and a theory class on the computer. Eventually his students were scheduled to come in to the training site as the same time as us, and the tiny suite in the business park was NOT big enough for both of our classes. 2 groups practicing on broken mannequins and sharing sparse supplies. I FOUND IT QUITE HARD TO BELIEVE A TUITION OF $1,800 WAS NOT ADEQUATE TO PROVIDE PROPER STAFFING AND SUPPLIES. The facility we did our clinical training at was least favorable. Students among me were genuinely concerned for patients well being and patient rights & safety. Nurses were mean, withholding of items from patients, and staff CNAs seemed to view us as a burden and offered not much support. On top of this, LASA chose a facility that allows smoking, which was quite irritating. For state testing, I find it in my opinion that this program is so well known and is able to charge so much is because they were backed by the Red Cross. The test was through the Red Cross and nothing else. The exact EVENING before our state exam, Beatrice or whomever is in charge of records and paperwork contacted each student because they FORGOT to give us all our checklist papers that stated we were clear to take the state exam. As I stated it was in the evening, so not everyone was able to make it. Some people had to pick it up for others, and it was a hassle because the lady in charge of paperwork had to ask for confirmation (calling on the phone) someone else could pick up their paperwork because it had info like our SSN. In the beginning of the program, students are fingerprinted for background checks and security. After I had passed my state exam, it took 4 months and many calls to CDPH to expedite my case, only to finally receive a letter in the mail after countless hours of working as an Nurse Aid without my certificate, stating that the only reason my application was not processed is because the person that LASA had hired to do my fingerprints did not do them CORRECTLY.Many things were flawed in this program and I seriously hope people can reconsider or look at programs at adult schools before deciding on this one. Im almost thoroughly convinced alumni are paid to leave 5 stars all the time.

Ms. Kristine was my instructor, and I absolutely loved being in her class. She was so kind and communicative to me, and was definitely one of the many reasons why I passed my state exam and became a CNA!

Highly recommend LASA!!! I was skeptical when searching for CNA programs but LASA proved me wrong. The enrollment and orientation process is easy and self explanatory. LASA is thorough and there are people to assist you every step of the way. I was assigned instructor Ms. Kristine. I am so happy to have her as she is knowledgeable, thorough, and relatable. From theory to lab/clinicals the experience has been top notch. Looking back at my progress and development in the field I feel confident that I will be successful in this field. Thanks to Ms. Kristine, this learning process has been nothing short of amazing!!! Thank you Ms. Kristine for your patience and guidance throughout this entire process.
