2024-06-18 07:23:12The Los Angeles County Arboretum is an absolute gem for families seeking a delightful outdoor adventure. Whether youre exploring the diverse flora or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll amidst natures beauty, this garden is sure to captivate your senses. The sheer abundance and variety of plants on display is truly remarkable. From towering trees to delicate blooms, the garden is a haven for plant enthusiasts of all ages. If only the garden could provide an app or other interactive guides to introduce these botanical wonders, it would undoubtedly enhance the learning experience for children.Another welcome addition would be the installation of one or two additional public restrooms, particularly considering the vast expanse of the garden.Overall, my first visit to the Los Angeles County Arboretumwith my parents was such an enjoyable experience that they decided to become members on the spot. The garden offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, providing an opportunity to reconnect with nature and appreciate its splendor.

2024-06-13 19:02:42Always love this place! Good price for entry, and tons of beautiful plants to look at! The peacocks were struting around, beautiful. The cafe food has decent prices. There was an awesome rare plant show the day we went with hundreds of entries that you could vote on! They have an amazing library where members can check out books. They have a lot of events for kids and adults to craft hobbies, read alongs, tours, etc. Just check the website and see whats going on, and plan yourself a visit!Parking was free and plentiful. No pets, skateboards or stuff like that allowed. Do NOT remove any plants, theyre there for everyone to enjoy!

2024-04-28 05:26:53My mother and I visited this botanical garden while we were staying in Arcadia. It was one of the best botanical gardens I have been to. The grounds were gorgeous and there were peacocks running around all over the place! We spent about two hours walking around and it was so nice and relaxing. If you enjoy outdoor activities, and are in the Arcadia area, definitely check out the Los Angeles County Arboretum!

2024-06-03 03:59:42The LA Arboretum & Botanic Garden was a delightful surprise! Nestled right in Arcadia, it offered a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of LA.well-maintained pathways were perfect for a relaxing walk. I especially enjoyed the spots with benches overlooking the lakes and the distant San Gabriel Mountains.A special shoutout to the peacocks! They strutted around confidently, adding a touch of whimsy to the scenery.

2024-04-09 06:58:04A beautiful, fairly expansive and well-maintained park that also has Peacocks walkin around!!It is a great place to spend a couple of hours.I bought tickets online about 1 hour before going on a weekend. The citrus and rose gardens are absolutely gorgeous in early spring (do not pick, just admire!).Nothing very strenuous for the elderly or kiddos--all pretty flat and concrete paths.

2024-01-29 05:16:20We had a lovely 2 hour walk through the whole arboretum, taking our time. It has different sections with different types of plants, a coach barn, a beautiful home, and even an old train station (we unfortunately were too late for the museum). Very calm place. Saw plenty of peacocks, and they even hung out in the parking lot and the nearby neighborhoods. We bought our tickets online morning of but Im not sure we even needed too. On a nice day, parking is a bit iffy. We had to drive around the lot a couple times and wait for someone to leave to get a spot.

2024-04-21 00:36:46Less expensive than the Huntington Gardens and so worthwhile! Fantastic wildlife, vista views, and beautifully landscaped lawns. The garden/lawn with native flora was stunning with all the blooming poppies. The parking was full when we arrived, but we found parking down a side street, accompanied by plenty of peacocks showing off. We did not buy tickets in advance, although you can if you like. Thank you, LA Arboretum - can’t wait to visit again!

2024-05-17 21:10:25My happy place. A large arboretum with a variety of plants from all over the world. Wonderful birds, including waterfowl, parrots, hummingbirds, and various migratory species. If you live nearby, the annual membership is a bargain and you can visit during extended hours.

2024-04-17 18:01:07Impressive collection of plants and shrubs from Australia, Africa, mideterranean etc and of course California. Plenty of picnic areas to enjoy the arboretum at a slow pace which is a must, unless youre harassed by the many peacocks which seem to rule the roost.
