My mocha was barely warm, $4 6oz in an 8oz cup. Looked tiny, felt bad taking it from its mother. A little confused with the food. Hubby got an egg, cheese and sausage croissant... it was a Jimmy Dean. We dont even buy those for home. But he went back inside and they were making a non packaged croissant sandwich. My bagel was fine. The atmosphere is nice. Our service was without emotion.

Beautiful open concept coffee shop. Great airflow, so many good places to sit and enjoy. I struggle with deciding inside or out but outside always wins, great ocean breeze and sunshine are hard to beat. The coffee is good but honestly its all about the location for us. Sunday parking can be difficult because there is a big church nearby.

Stumbled upon this gem when looking for breakfast after getting done with an appointment in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff, awesome options and spread. Got a macadamia nut mylk cappuccino and it was delicious! They have great espresso. The chicken pesto ciabatta is also a yummy filling sandwich.Definitely recommend this spot especially for those looking to study in an open spacious inviting environment. I will definitely be back to do some work! Honestly, it’s kind of hard to find welcoming café environments that are not crowded these days, so this is a gem.

Really nice place, open atmosphere friendly staff beautiful landscaping outside. In summer they open the door so you can walk outside to the nice seating.They also have a loft where you can sit upstairs. Overall a wonderful coffee experience

Very little vegan options. They serve the vegan coffee cake from companion bakery. There’s a chia pudding on the menu but not grab and go. I don’t actually recall a grab and go anything in there except maybe some snack bar on the counter. My espresso was muwa 😘

A cafe with a converted warehouse-type feel. Theres enough open doorways that it seems as if you are outdoors when you are indoors. As the name implies, theres a loft that looks over the first floor, though the regulars are eager to take the seats up there. The staff are friendly, and if youre into unusual syrups, they have things like rose and cardamom.

Its a very nice cozy place, service is good and employees are very friendly. But i wish they had more healthy options like gluten-free, real matcha tea, more tea, low sugar treats, but overall good salads! And open at late afternoon or evening.

Me and my sisters visited this coffee shop and we were highly satisfied. We have visited so many coffee shops in the area and out of all of them we have loved this one the most. The atmosphere is welcoming and the people are very kind. I ordered a latte and it was absolutely delicious. The coffee was smooth and tasty even without sweetener. They also have many different pastries and food, which were also so good! There are also very few coffee shops that serve brewed iced tea and to our surprise this one did! We were even offered to taste test it and it was amazing! Would definitely recommend for anyone to come give this place a visit!

Its always a wonderful experience when coming to The Loft coffee shop, customer service is superb and they definitely go beyond making the average cup of joe. I highly recommend this coffee shop before you try any other big corporate one, you will be surprised how amazing the atmosphere is. Keep up the good work! Shout out to Donnie, hes the man!

This was a great find! My husband and I came to Santa Cruz for our anniversary - we had been here from Ohio 7 years ago for our honeymoon. We were determined to return to Aldo’s Bakery, but were disappointed to find it closed so we looked for alternatives and ended up at Loft. The space is HUGE! We both said multiple times that we would have spent so much time at a place like this if we were students in the area. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing and the sausage egg and cheese sandwich was good enough that my husband ordered a second one. The coffee was great and they had a lot of options. My only caveat would be that their lavender syrup is STRONG. Stronger than any lavender syrup I’ve had before. I had not been expecting that. Definitely recommend hanging out here, the staff was super friendly, and just loved the atmosphere

Awesome atmosphere, delicious coffee, and the best sourdough bagels! Near the Cabrillo College campus, it’s a mix of students studying and locals hanging out. The building is simple and unique with plenty of parking nearby. Definitely recommend!

Awesome cafe with friendly staff, good drinks and snacks! Perfect for studying or chatting with a friend. Has a large patio, indoor seating and (as in the name) a loft area. There are two clear garage style doors that they open to allow airflow. Its not just pleasant, it is a big plus in my book for COVID-19 safe ventilation. They keep the tables very clean. Drinks are priced at the average for the area, about 3-5 dollars for most. Their avocado toast is 9 dollars, their bagels are 3 dollars, and most of their pastries are about 3 dollars as well.

As a Cabrillo college student, this is a perfect place to study, enjoy good coffee, and relax in a beautiful atmosphere. The design is very well done and I like how everything is spaced out. Loft has a unique installation of two rising doors that give an open and refreshing setting. I definitely recommend!

Very friendly and professional. Real baristas, their not just pouring brewed coffee. Good selection. Even has a few pastry, and breakfast sandwich choices. Avacado toast is one item; not always available though. Dont be intimidated by the fact its part of a christian church, it is separate building; your not going to be preached to or handed literature. Its just a great coffee house; truth be told its better tasting than Starbucks.

Met up here for coffee at the start of a bike tour. Coffee was hot and fantastic, light but not acidic. It was packed but the high lofted ceilings give the place and airing and welcoming feeling.

Great open atmosphere alone to read or with family/a chat friends. Love the open air doors to let in the breeze or sit outside. My favorite is the vanilla latte (both hot & cold)… and so far all food items have been a hit with my family.

A friend of mine surprised me taking me to Loft Coffee. Beautiful inside and out. Great coffee and goodies. Great service and very clean. The next day I took my husband and sister for coffee.

This place has a good atmosphere and ambience, but the drinks just aren’t that good. I’m a barista and the non espresso/coffee drinks aren’t a strong suit here. I’ve had the Matcha latte, Chia latte, And Hot chocolate and they all resembled a tasteless cardboard. I noticed the matcha was premade in a squirt bottle that they add to milk which I think causes the tea to die and makes it bitter. Also the avocado toast Isn’t that good bread was soggy.
