I tried to deal with these people but review what they send you!It will not be what they told you!Called me 4 times back to back to back to back !That made my decision easy not to trust them!They wanted over 50k in cost to refi a loan to a higher rate!And add mortgage insurance of 500 a month!No thanks!I ran away!

I have NEVER EVER done business with your company .. EVER .. yet somehow someway you have too much of my PII apparently. You got hacked in January 2024 in a encryption randomware attack and my information was compromised. NICE JOB !!! I got an letter date stamped Feb 2024 ... Not in Feb .. the week of March 18. Dont blame the USPS .. this is yet another example of your corporate incompetence. 1+ month after the Feb 2024 date in the letter to register for (yet another) credit monitoring service. The deadline for registration is the end of this month. Pathetic ...

My loan officer David Herrera was excellent. He provided great info on my loan options and was very knowledgeable. David is very personable and made me feel that he’s really cared about me and my decision. He wasn’t pushy at all. I made the decision to go with Loan Depot only because of him. I have been working with Luis Delgado and he has made the process very easy! Luis is very knowledgeable and he has gone above and beyond helping me. I was having trouble uploading documents to the portal and he was able to step in and help me get everything submitted. I also appreciate his prompt responses whenever I have a question. I would highly recommend to any of my friends.

I am a military retired veteran and I have spoken with a few lenders and by far, this is the most pleasant experience I have encountered. Alan has a least been honest with me up front and I look forward to working with him in a few months and will make my final decision then. All was going well and every two to three days more material was needed. I never heard back in a timely manner. Not sure what the problem was, Not sure I would have wasted so much time, if they would have told me all I needed the first couple of times. Art was great, but as I got handed off, everything seemed to get lost. I would not give them a positive recommendation.

I was looking for a cash out refinance. In the end I had to back out, but Ryan V., your associate was very helpful and professional. I know he was probably very disappointed after the work he put in, but he did not show it on the phone during our conversation. I am keeping him in my contact list in case conditions change and I end up being more able and more comfortable with this type of loan in the future.

All steps in this process was so smooth and painless. I was so very impressed with every aspect of your companys service. I love the on line system, it made getting the forms requested to the team very easy to upload and complete the files. I really liked that Dustin took responsibility for ensuring my information got to the right place. That is, I didnt have to submit the same information multiple times so it could be used for different purposes. He also made it simple by letting me use any format that was convenient for me. As a result, the technology was never any sort of a barrier. I feel like Im pretty computer savvy, but I can imagine that could be especially helpful for somebody who has less computer experience, or who is trying to do everything with their cell phone.Of course, pricing is a factor as well and the best customer service in the world cant overcome huge disparities in terms. Thankfully, loanDepot was able to come very close to or beat offers I received from other lenders - and without laying on a guilt trip for doing my due diligence like some other lenders tried to. Great experience.

Jonathon was very helpful, explains all aspects of the loan and was quick to get things going. After considering our options, we decided to go with a private lender, due to the 7000 in fees it was costing to close. We are trying to get our appraisal money back since it was never appraised. Now they will not return calls or emails. We are now frustrated and disappointed in how we are being treated.

I would not recommend because the underwriters do not understand the processes in the US when it comes to IRS matters. I tried to explain my issues as well as sending in documentation. It seems they are working off of a script instead of listening. I have been a customer for a while. All of my other documents are correct. I would like a re-consideration . Additionally my employer had a lot of difficulty understanding communications with the gentleman that called to verifiy my employment. I need a call to discuss refunding my money!!!!

I had one person from loan depot tell me that they couldnt beat another rate I was offered from competitor. Then I had 2 more people from loan depot call, I explained the situation and I never heard back from either. Then Jonathan called. I told him about the current offer I had and about my experience with the other people from loan depot. He told me he would look into and call back no matter what the outcome. And he did call back with something comparable, and then he reached back out to me with an even better offer. He had also done a great job with letting me know whats happening during the loan process and answering all my questions. Rhonda was great too. I felt like they both took a personal interest in my successful closing of this loan. I was treated as an individual customer and not just a number

I gave the loan officer basic information to answer what their interest rate is. He told me he was doing a soft credit check only so it wouldnt show up as a credit hit. That wasnt the case. At that point I informed the loan officer I wasnt going to apply and never went through filling out a mortgage application. I received 2 copies in the mail a week later all filled out ready to sign. I NEVER requested that and informed him long before this that I went with the local credit union. I feel like I was violated. This was totally wrong. I also would never pay the ridiculous fees they are charging.

I am so upset at Loan Depot! We specifically refinanced with them, and it was a positive experience. We were happy with our payments, and the closing went well. I was happy with it all until, in a little over a year, Loan Depot sold our loan to JP Morgan Chase.I have had nothing but trouble since my loan was sold to JP Morgan Chase. If I knew Loan Depot was just going to turn around and sell the loan to some other financial institution, then I never would’ve refinanced with them in the first place.

Worst experience a person could ask for. From day 1 kept asking questions trying to make sure they had all documents and information needed. Was told constantly relax we have lots of time. I explained I worked a lot and couldn’t be last second getting items together. The stated that would not happen. Well guess what that what exactly happened. Horrible communication only way anything was accomplished was complaining up supervisor chain. We were seconds from closing and they were still playing games. Avoid at all costs

She seemed very knowledgeable and friendly while collecting all of my information and I paid for the appraisal. I got a couple of “form” emails but I reached out to Christina and she never contacted me again. I had to email her to get a copy of appraisal that I PAID FOR!I sent her another email when I found out that I found additional information that could affect my loan.I have heard nothing from her, not even a comment or thank you. While my first initial experience with LoanDepot was positive, the remainder of the loan process was not. I had a wonderful agent, Alexis, who was responsive, communicative and patient in explaining the loan process. He also worked with me tirelessly to get me the best rate for my loan. Unfortunately when I was passed on to his manager Mark, to close the loan this is where my experience turned sour. Not only did I not close on time due to Mark, he was not very communicative and had me doing some of the leg work like verify my employment, verify my current living situation thru my landlord on the day of close. I called to complain about Mark to as many supervisors numbers that I could find and never got a call back from anyone. Fortunately Alexis became my point of contact at the end and we were able to close eventually after I negotiated an extension with the seller.

If I had to do it again for a third time I would go with Loan Depot. I had already been with Loan Depot which helped the process to move that much quicker. The people are top shelf #1. They were all amazingly helpful and kind. No question was left unanswered. They were in touch with me at least once a week or I could call anytime or leave messages in what they call a portal which is a secure site for paper signing and seeing how everything is progressing.I did check with other companies before making my final decision. The truth is the whole process was easier than I thought and the signing of some of the papers were done on line. Dont be detoured from that. We all do so many things on the internet that it just made it go that much smoother.The Notary was exceptional. Fast friendly and a local person. I did not know her at the time but I think she became a great reminder that their are still a lot of personable and amazing people out there.

This is a REAL REVIEW. Dave Polloc and Sarah were awesome!!! I stared this journey by comparing (4) different lenders. Dave was the very 1st to call. He had a lot of knowledge. He asked me many questions and then said what he could do for me. I asked that he put the numbers in writing, which he did quickly. I then stared talking to other lenders including my own bank that already had the loan on the property. It seems like every agent I spoke to had a different story. Although I gave all agents true numbers, they all wanted Docs and did not want to send me their numbers in writing. Each agent down spoke other agents saying BEWARE - they are not going to be able to fund you or they are going to jack up the numbers right before closing. I started to question Daves truthfulness. Dave stayed strong and answered all my questions as other Agents brought them up. Towards the end, Daves knowledge (and Sarah working with me to get all my Docs in during the process) and straight forwardness SOLD ME. After I decided to go with Loan Depot and told the other (3) agents i was going with Loan Depot, it got worse. So called Managers and Special Units of the (3) agents started to offer discounts and (1) days specials, etc. I am now again 2nd guessing myself. Again Dave stayed strong, answered additional questions. I decided to go with Loan Depot. Sarah took over my file. There are more Docs to get uploaded. The other agents wanted me to manually upload the Docs to their system, but I just emailed them to Sarah and she uploaded them MAKING IT EASY FOR ME. Sarah responded to every single email within (1) day. Underwriting was a little overbearing - asking for things that do not exist, but Sarah help me get through the process a lot easier. Looking back, I wish I just worked with Dave, Sarah & Loan Depot. My 1st Workup sheet on Closing Costs is VERY similar to the Final Workup Sheet/HUD. Daves Honesty and Sarahs hard work making it easy for me was Priceless and very much appreciated.

We were given several options on length of the loan and were able to choose something we were comfortable with. Our application moved through the process quickly and we received almost daily status updates. The website dashboard is a wonderful thing. I understand refinancing is going strong at this time and everyone involved in the industry is pretty busy. I am not interested in refinancing my house but as a courtesy listened to the young lady that reached out to me. After seeing the numbers and how much my mortgage would increase I kindly made it known that I was not interested. A few days later I received an email stating I had not electronically signed my loan documents. I contacted her and said again that I was not interested and was assured that it was an automated email and that i wouldnt receive anymore correspondence or calls. I then received a hard copy of the loan documents in the mail and a text from a different person with loan depot. I called the young lady again and was assured that I wouldnt be bothered anymore. Well, today (7/7/22) I received two calls. I called back after work and kindly asked the man at the other end to please stop bothering me. He was extremely pushy and wanted to go over numbers and waste more of my time. I explained that I was not interested but he continued. I became upset and used an expletive to stop bothering me. He replied very rudely and we got into a shouting match. I should not have used an expletive however if the man on the other end would have said ok, we will stop bothering you it would not have gotten to that point. I would expect this out of a used car salesman but not someone trying to earn by business with a $200k loan. I spoke highly of Loan Depot in the past (my house is currently mortgaged by you all) but will not in the future. This is not a good way of doing business with current and future customers.

He was very attentive and I truly believe did everything within the range of your programs that he could to meet my need. As a matter of fact because of his efforts I got a better deal from my current mortgage company than what was offered prior to his negotiations so I am totally appreciative to him. Max did a great job of showing me the savings I could acquire if I took a chance on a refinance. He and Jeniffer both communicated with me on a regular basis. I never wondered what was going on. They were both really organized. The title person Nina Pestocia worked really hard to get a couple of liens that I had no clue about removed in order to make my closing experience as seamless as possible. It was a relatively easy process. I understand paperwork has to be revised but receiving five disclosures, if not more, can be confusing. Also, I would have to reach out in order to get informed of how my progress was coming along. I think that is ridiculous seeing as there is “a team” of people overview in your application. The customer service good definitely be better. Overall, I was left frustrated more than once but the folks were very nice. I would recommend Loan Depot to my friends and family.

I started to use the mortgage company I was already with for five years, but did not feel like my loan was important to that company so I tried loan depot. This was the easiest mortgage refi I have ever done. From my first contact to closing, it took only two weeks, and I never had to leave my house. Every contact person from my first call to the closing agent was very personable and answered any concerns or questions. Initially, when I was told what was needed; I was like this is great because I was able to gather majority of these documents real time. The Retention Licensed Lending Officer Chris Lineberger was normally quick with his inputs and directions. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is that there could be an improvement in one area that would speed up the overall process of funding the loan at the end,which did not hamper the loan qualification itself. The loan manager was very attentive to my needs and weaknesses. He talked me through anything that I did not understand or had not realized that was needed. To me it felt like he was on my side more than somebody that I was negotiating against to get a good deal. He helped me to get everything in so that I could get the best deal, and nobody else was able beat the deal. Towards the end, a local agent stepped in locally to arrange the signing, and was every bit as friendly and helpful. I felt like the other 5 companies were either selling hard or just impersonally dealing.

Ozzy (the loan officer) was good. I was very comfortable with his knowledge and I felt he truly wanted to give me the best refinance terms possible. Although the terms finalized were slightly different than discussed. I could always contact him when no one else answered their phones are responded to emails/portal messages. He did not always return calls as he stated but I believe it was because no one responded to him as well. I think he provided me the best service he could. Lastly, the best thing was the fact that my long closed and was funded. I also appreciated the available options and terms for the refinance; and the portal was user friendly. At 5 month duration, this was the most stressful refinance I have ever experienced.

Scott was great. He had the answers I needed and was available for my questions. He explained everything clearly and I felt at ease from the first time we spoke. HOWEVER when he asked me for a credit card to charge the $21 for the credit report, then a couple of days later I saw a charge For $498 for the appraisal. I understood from Scott that the appraisal was waived. I was furious that he charged my credit card without my permission. Then when my loan docs came, the monthly payment was $776 more than we discussed - turns out it was for escrow amount which I told him I pay separately. And there were more points charged to the loan than we discussed. He is great on the front end but weak on the follow through!

Pablo was very professional in helping me secure the loan. I had to resubmit all documents to him which didn’t make me happy since I had filed them away but he worked with me and he instructed me how to use Notes on my iPhone to make copies of the documents for his review. It saved me from going to FedEx to email. I appreciate it. Prior to that he wasn’t returning my calls so on his recorded message he stated if you are not happy with my service you may call my supervisor giving his name and number. I did. Within an hour he called me and we were back on track. I appreciate everything Pablo did to make sure my loan funded quickly. I felt they were scamming me or rushing me into something before I could obtain more info. They told me several times my pre loan request who be cancelled. The beginning process went pretty smooth. I did ask about pulling money out of my equity, but that was dropped from the conversation pretty quick by them. I also was told by Luke, I would be getting some money back from the amount that I paid them in advance. It was like I was completely forgotten about after the papers were signed. He will not return calls or emails to help with where this money is. I am not sure what to do, but I am not happy being treated like a number. Experience was as expected from this type of loan service. I wasnt aware that a charge would be assessed me for checking my credit. I told the original person that my credit rating was around 780 to 825, depending on what service that they used. When I called to get credited for something that I wasnt aware off, (the charge was discovered on my Credit card Bill)I was told that it couldnt be refunded (Company Policy). I had applied to several other companies and NONE of them charged me.

The loan officer Max didnt mention points at the beginning to secure the lower rate. However, the Loan Estimate (LE) included over $5000 worth of points to get a 2.25% rate, whereas another lender (Rocket Mortgage) offered 2.375% without any points. Consequently, I am no longer interested in conducting business with LoanDepot, and wouldnt recommend them to others in the future.
