I had a great experience meeting Dr Tran and being under her care. Prior to my root canal treatment the pain was unbearable and Dr Tran said come into the office in 45 minutes. Not only was it Sunday but Father’s Day! She immediately took care of the issue no questions asked. The procedure was flawless. I highly recommend her as a professional and great person! A+

I am not an individual that writes reviews often unless I feel very strongly about my experience. This was one of those experiences when I came to see Dr. Lisa Tran for a root canal operation. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by her and the staff who were very welcoming and friendly. It is always a little nerve wracking to have an operation like a root canal done but Dr. Tran made sure I was informed and comfortable throughout the whole procedure so there were no surprises. She would always check to make sure if I felt any pain or needed a break during the operation. Within an hour, I was back to normal and was able to resume my normal day with no complications! I would gladly recommend Dr. Tran to my family and friends!

I was referred to Dr. Lisa Tran by my dentist Dr. Frank Orlando (5 star shout out to him as well). Dr. Tran embodies the name of her practice group - compassionate. She is excellent at her craft. In my two part appointment for a complicated root canal, I was so relaxed and could have actually napped - during a root canal! She has a gentle touch and has all the devices to make your mouth as comfortable as possible during the procedure. The procedure is accompanied by your choice of music and her personable bed side manner. Best of all, Dr. Tran communicates via text post procedure to see how you are doing and will correspond with any related questions or concerns. Thank you Dr. Tran!

I had pains that I thought were my wisdom teeth a few weeks ago, but when I came in, Dr. Tran immediately identified the issue as an infection and told me I needed a root canal. Both appointments for the root canal went totally smoothly, and I feel much better. Dr. Tran was nice and funny and made me feel comfortable during the whole operation. She took the time to check up on me after both appointments via text, and I definitely plan on going to her in the future! I cant recommend Dr. Tran highly enough :)

Dr. Tran is wonderful- it was quite possibly the best experience you could have while getting a root canal. Dr. Tran was precise and considerate, her analysis and explanation of my dental needs resulted in me feeling incredibly confident in her and the procedure. I went into see Dr. Tran for a root canal. Her excellent bedside manner immediately put me at ease. I was afraid that the procedure and recovery process would be painful, but it was the exact opposite - I felt fine just hours after.Dr. Tran is also extremely meticulous and shows genuine concern for her patients. She made sure that I understood what the procedure entailed and checked up on me to ask if I was feeling okay the day after. Overall a very pleasant and pain-free experience. I would recommend 10/10.

Dr. Tran was extremely kind and very skilled for my emergency root canal. The entire process was essentially painless, which was great. She actively followed up to see how I was doing and even proactively talked with my dentist to communicate the next steps for my tooth. She worked well around my pretty inflexible work schedule as well, which was much appreciated. While I hope to not have another root canal, I would certainly go back to her if I did.

I am blown away at how AMAZING Dr. Tran is! I only wish she also did general dentistry I want her to fix everything! I am a stunt performer and was doing a huge fight scene on a tv show on a Wednesday. I was in excruciating pain from a tooth that my general dentist had said was just getting used to a new filling....for 4 months. He sent me away 3 times telling me to take more Advil. I finally couldnt take it and made an appt with Dr. Tran in between fights. She took me the very next day. I went into her office on Thursday and said I was so upset because Ive thrown myself through windows and been hit by cars but this pain was unbearable! I also had a major concern that I was supposed to fly to Orlando the very next day on Friday for a long planned trip to Disney! She immediately did a series of tests and explained what she was doing step by step so I understood which was fantastic. She then said well I have good news, you need a root canal! I said no! How is that good I cant go to Disney! She said NO its good because I can fix it and you CAN go to Disney! I said ok yes please! The next thing I know I was listening to my movie on my phone not feeling a thing!! Just a bit of novocaine and she went to work! Im not kidding when I say I would MUCH rather have Dr. Tran give me a root canal than most regular dental work Ive had at other dentists! It was quick and painless and she was so professional and made ABSOLUTELY sure I was always, always, always comfortable if I needed to move or adjust or anything! I would like to also comment on something that you just never find when going to any type of doctor. Somehow Dr. Tran has a way of making you feel like youve known her for years right away! She has you come into her room as if it were her home and she speaks with you as if you are going to be doing the procedure together. I know that sounds weird but Ive always had anxiety with dentists and now I realize its because they talk down to me or not at all and I feel so small and vulnerable. But Dr. Tran made sure we were working as a Team with her assistant to get it done! I felt like a part of it which completely eased my mind and I was like yeh! Lets fix this bad tooth! I just cant say enough about her Im really blown away that I actually laughed and enjoyed having a root canal lol! I took a selfie during the procedure and was on the plane the next morning after only 2 Advil! I never had to take anything other than the Advil for a couple of days. I had to post the pics if you can see them. But heres my selfie and then me on space mountain only a day and a half later! Dr. Tran is lovely. I had a root canal with her recently. She was on time, professional, and very friendly. I was a bit nervous and she made me feel totally relaxed and at ease. The procedure was efficient and done in a timely manner which was great! I had very minimal pain after and felt very comfortable during and after the procedure. She was very attentive and even gave me her phone number in case I had any issues and she followed up herself a few days later to check in and make sure all was good!All in all, I would highly recommend her !

I’m so glad my friend told me about Dr. Tran when I mentioned that I need to get root canal done. Dr. Tran explained the entire procedure clearly and was patient with my questions. She was also able to reschedule my procedure due to some last minute issues on my end. The entire procedure lasted an hour and Dr. Tran was making sure I was doing fine throughout the time. Dr. Tran also gave me clear after care instructions. Her office followed up with me over the next few days after the procedure and she herself checked in with me the next day! If I could give Dr. Tran 6 stars, I would. If youre looking for an endodontist, Dr. Tran is the absolute best.I found Dr. Tran online and decided to book an appointment after reading all the great reviews, and I am so thankful that I did. She has provided the best dental experience Ive ever had, despite this being the most intense procedure Ive been through. I went in for three separate visits for a retreatment, and for all three visits, Dr. Tran was absolutely amazing.She was exceptionally knowledgeable while being patient and thorough when explaining my options, the treatment plan, and the cost with insurance. She took the time to answer in-depth any questions that I had. She was also very accommodating to my TMJ and understanding of my jaw pain while she was working on my tooth. She was very gentle, ensuring the procedure was pain-free, and I have never experienced such excellent patient care.In short, if you have any reservations on who you should see, book an appointment with Dr. Tran, and youll undoubtedly be amazed by her professionalism.

As a career ICU nurse, I can say that I find Dr. Tran and her staff to be excellent. She is both caring and competent. I have had two root canals from her, and was happy with both experiences. You will walk away from the visit knowing that your teeth have been well taken care of. I especially like the way she explains what she is doing as she is doing it.

Dr. Tran was literally a miracle worker I stumbled upon Compassionate Endodontics by accident due to a very severe toothache, she immediately knew I was in desperate need of a root canal, I was literally freaking out but Dr. Tran’s professional manner and compassion made me feel at ease. After my appointment I felt no pain what so ever. My toothache ended up being a 3 part process. But each visit was pleasant pain free and very informal. I found Dr. Tran looking for an emergency root canal. She was able to see me the same day I called her office, after being in pain for several days. Dr. Tran took her time to explain to me the procedure and made sure I was comfortable at all times when I was both very nervous and in a lot of pain. The process was, in my opinion, very quickly and went swiftly and completely painless. She also made sure I had her personal number in case of anything after the surgery and checked in with me the next morning to make sure I was doing okay. I am extremely happy with her work and would absolutely recommend her to anyone I know.

I was referred to Dr. Malek’s office by my dentist to take care of a root canal and was lucky enough to get an appointment with Dr. Lisa Tran. She was so kind and explained everything she was doing when she did it. She made she I was comfortable throughout and even the day after she texted me personally to see how I was feeling and if I had any concerns. Ive had 3 root canals on the same tooth thus far, and Dr. Tran is easily the best Ive had so far.The first two were done in Beijing and University of Pittsburgh - where both of them failed to do the root canal properly, hence the third one.Dr. Tran is very kind, gentle, and extremely skilled. It was absolutely painless, and she also used a very advanced 3D scanner and a microscope to make sure she didnt miss out any other canals.I would highly recommend 100%.

I was referred to an endodontist by my general dentist for root canal, but their referred was not in network. So I ended up with Dr. Lisa Tran, DMD Endodontic’s. Dr. Tran took a time to explain everything what is going on with my teeth and did a procedure. Dr. Lisa Tran is extremely knowledgeable, professional and so caring. I had such a positive experience having my root canal done with Dr. Tran, it was a true 5 start experience. Everyone working in the office was super friendly, they were really respectful, the chair was super comfortable, I was cold and they even gave me a blanket! More importantly Dr. Tran was easy to get in touch with after my root canal with any questions I had. Tran and her assistant were very professional and had such a gentle touch. In the past I have had very aggressive dental work done that cause a lot of pain afterwards, this did not happen with Tran. In a big city flooded with doctors she really stands out, hopefully I wont be needed other work done, if so, I will defiantly be coming back!

Dr.Tran is amazing! My general dentist referred me to Dr. Tran for the need of a possible root canal. Dr.Tran conducted NUMEROUS tests to make sure a root canal was absolutely necessary. She made me feel so comfortable the entire time. Once it was determined I needed a root canal she explained in depth why I needed one. When it came time for the root canal she made sure I was completely numb. I did not feel ANYTHING during the root canal procedure and it was done so fast! She made sure I was comfortable the entire time. After the procedure she checked in on me to make sure I was ok. I had a great experience with Dr.Tran and I 100% recommend going to her if you need this procedure done!

Honestly one of the most pleasant dental experiences Ive ever had. Dr. Tran and her team at Compassionate Endodontics made me feel incredibly comfortable, especially given the times with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The office was super clean and their team was following public health guidelines regarding PPE (face masks, face shields, gloves, and gowns, etc).Additionally, growing up my parents couldnt afford going to the dentist and so for me each visit is rife with anxiety. My most recent visit was for a root canal on a far back molar, which I was incredibly nervous about. Dr. Tran heard my concerns and made sure I felt comfortable before proceeding with the root canal and by the time we started I was feeling so relaxed I could basically fall asleep! Also, I had expected it to take much longer than it did, which was a welcome surprise! I left feeling relieved and much better—no more pain! Ill be back in a few weeks to assess the tooth and finish out the root canal and can update my experience then, but I assume given how well it went I wont have anything new to add aside from more praise.So case-in-point, if you are ever in need of a root canal or any Endodontic work, I highly recommend Dr. Tran and the Compassionate Endodontics team!!

Luckily, I found Dr Tran online after years of having a neglectful dentist and pain and swelling throughout my jaws. Now, I am healed and pain free.Upon meeting Dr Tran, she clearly & concisely explained what was going on in my mouth and discussed my different options for treatment.I needed three root canals, and treatment of two abscesses. Throughout all the procedures, Dr Tran ensured I was comfortable before starting, and was aware of whether or not I was comfortable during the treatment. Ive had two root canals in the past, and Dr Trans were by far the most comfortable.She was easy to get in touch with if I had concerns after treatment, and kept excellent communication with me after the procedures. The office was extremely accommodating to having me stop in for follow ups, and someone was always available. For one emergency abscess, Dr Tran was not in so Dr Kaplan saw me, & did an excellent job cleaning it.I was on the verge of losing two teeth, and Dr Tran successfully saved them.Its been several months since treatment, and my new dentist said I am healing well, and is very impressed with Dr Trans treatment.

I cant say enough how great the experience was with Dr Tran, my first root canal and you hear about the stories of how painful and uncomfortable it can be. But other than the sharp scratch you feel with the injection I havent had any pain or discomfort since, and the procedure was totally fine, Dr Tran was constantly checking I was fine, and letting me know what stage we were at. Hopefully I wont have to have a root canal again but if I do I know where Ill be going.

My personal dentist of 27 years recently retired and I found myself in an emergency situation of needing a root canal. I was fortunate enough to get an emergency appointment with Dr Lisa Tran. Great experience!!!The root canal of my lower front tooth was seriously infected due to my childhood trauma; it affected the growth of the nerve in that tooth and it became really tiny so it made the surgery become extremely difficult to operate. I was really cornered until I met Dr.Tran. She was not only able to finish the surgery successfully with her advanced medical-microscope, she also truly cares about her patients, treating them with 100 percent responsibility and patience. I told her that I needed to come early and she was able to arrange it really fast. No doubt that she has outstanding skills as an endodontist with a lot experiences. I highly recommend to visit here if you have any teeth problems related to root canal because Dr. Tran is the best!! Also the staff were all very nice and welcoming.

Was referred here from my dentist to retreat a root canal from several years ago. Dr.Tran explained the situation and what was needed to be done to treat my tooth. Dr. Tran is an absolutely amazing endodontist!! I was referred to Dr. Tran so that I can get a root canal. I had a root canal when I was younger and that was not a good experience, leaving me very anxious about having to have another one. As many people do these days, I ended up reading reviews and saw that everyones feedback was so positive and many claimed it was relatively pain free! I went ahead and made the appointment particularly since I was in severe pain. To try and make the story short, I had the MOST AMAZING experience and I for one cannot believe I would ever be saying that about any dental visit let alone at a root canal specialist! She was the sweetest and most compassionate person. Her assistant was so pleasant and they truly made this a comfortable experience. Dr. Tran even made it extra special to ask me what type of music I would like to hear (naturally I wanted her to listen to whatever she likes so she can do a great job but it turns out we enjoy the same music!). Besides the pinch of the numbing medication, it truly was not painful!! She knows how to NUMB SO WELL!! That is a crucial point and I think that made it that much more enjoyable because it was not painful. I had to go in twice (2 part visit to complete the root canal) and both times were great! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Tran. I just wish she could not only be an endodontist but be my general dentist, hygeinist, and the full package because I just absolutely adore her but she truly is an exceptional endodontist and no matter how scared or anxious you may be, she will truly put you at ease. She explains everything, is meticulous, and empathetic. She builds a great rapport with her patients immediately. I cannot say enough about her but this post is long enough. Best dental experience of my life!! I have never had a cavity or filling and was super nervous about my root canal, but Dr. Tran explained/performed each step carefully, offered to put on music of my choice and even walked me through insurance billing to ensure a seamless process. I came to Dr. Tran with a very difficult case of infected root canals after failed apicoectomy. She handled it professionally. There was a lot of work, but everything went smoothly and painlessly. She even checked up on me over the text message! That was surprising, because I have never met a doctor who would care about a patient the way she does. I feel great and very satisfied. I would highly recommend her to everyone. She is a true doctor by nature!

I had to do a root canal rework and Dr Lisa Tran is amazing!!! She walks you through the process thoroughly, patiently providing me clarifications to anything I was not clear about. The office is clean with high tech equipments. The staffs are friendly and efficient. Overall, if I could give a 6 stars, I would. Dr. Tran ended up saving my tooth which I thought I would have to pull out.

Dr. Lisa Tran is AMAZING. I have been bring my daughter to her for 4 years, since she fell and broke her front tooth in half. Dr Tran treated her root and we have gone back for check ups since. Yesterday we did another follow up and her root still looks really good. Dr. Tran saved the root, this means my daughter can eventually get a crown vs an implant - this is huge.Dr. Tran is also super kind and personable. My daughter is very nervous and feels completely at ease with Dr. Tran.Highly recommend her.My previous review over 4 years ago!Wonderful! I really cant say enough good things about Dr. Tran. My 9 year old daughter fell and broke her front tooth. She is extremely anxious with dentists and all she has ever gotten to date is a cleaning !!! Dr Tran and the nurse were amazing. They talked through everything and answered all her nervous questions. They proceeded to treat the tooth, medicating it and adding a small sealer filling. My daughter still does not know she had a novacaine injection or a filling! Beyond amazing and so kind.

I was so anxious about getting a root canal, but Dr. Tran created the most comfortable and accommodating experience to calm my nerves. How rare is it that you would describe your root canal or any other dental experience as a pleasant experience?!? I had similar type of procedure before and I know it could be quite a torture. However, Im very impressed with Dr. Lisa as she made it as pleasant as possible. Her personality & bedside manner is amazing and she has feather light hands that leave you with no pains (in my case). I loved how Dr Tran explained every detail of what she was doing and why. Through the whole procedure, she and the assistant were checking in to make sure I wasn’t in pain, I was comfortable, and if I had any questions. Also loved the environment. There’s obviously a culture of respect and collaboration. Dr Tran and the assistant we’re chatting and laughing, and including me in all of it. I had two ”not so great” root canal sessions with my dentist when he finally recommeded that I go to Dr TRAN. I had two procedures to clean out an infection in my front eye tooth (pretty sensitive area) and I did not feel anything and had no pain the next day, one of those dates being the day before Christmas Eve! Was able to eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with no problem. I just had the root canal completed and I told Dr. Tran I felt like I could have taken a nap, I was so relaxed!! Dr. Lisa Tran is one of the most friendliest and professional Endodontists Ive met (for better or worse) Coming in with an intense amount of pain, stemmed from what I later learned was an infection under a crown, Dr. Tran was able to explain the procedure required and did so in a manner that made me feel very calm and comfortable. She was very transparent with her steps, and even made sure I felt comfortable with what my insurance planned to partially cover. Dr Tran is an absolute gem! I’ll never go to another Endodontist as long as I’m in NY. I had a complicated reretreatment case and Dr Tran was very straightforward in the initial evaluation. I got a second opinion before deciding how to proceed; both Doctors provided the same analysis of the X-rays, basically saying it’s inconclusive and they need to go in to see what’s really going on. I decided to try and save the tooth and proceeded w/ Dr Tran. Not only is she incredibly gentle, kind, and professional but she put so much care and time into trying to save this tooth (rather than having to pull it + get an implant). I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Lisa Tran!I came in with a terrible, almost-make-a-grown-man-cry level of pain. A level 20 on a scale from 1-10. They dont get better than Dr. Tran. The experience started with Robert on her administrative team. I called in a great amount of pain because of an abscess I had. This was my first and I didnt know if I could be seen by an Endodontist prior to resolving the infection. Her staff was patient and reassuring while I was stressed and in pain. They had an extremely busy schedule and squeezed me in. I was able to get the first part of the root canal within 3 hours of making the call for an emergency appointment.While I was sitting in the chair for the procedure, Dr. Tran asked if I had any music requests. She did things that were probably small to her, but made a huge difference in my experience, including letting me watch some of the procedure with a handheld mirror.After the procedure Dr. Tran and I were both traveling. She checked in on me by text while she was on vacation. We did follow up cosmetic treatments to whiten the tooth that had the procedure to match the rest of my teeth. Dr. Tran was as committed as I was (if not more so!) to perfectly match the problem tooth to the rest of my mouth.I cant say enough good things about Dr. Tran and her office. What else is there to say about Dr. Tran and her team, other than they are AMAZING!!! I had to have a root canal retreated due to another doctor missing a canal and was worried about the costs associated with it, specifically because I just had a brand new crown placed on it. Dr. Tran took her time and skillfully ensured that the procedure could be done without me having to come out of pocket for another new crown. I had about 4 or 5 visits to make sure the infection was gone, which made me feel good that she cared about me not having any issues in the future. I was in extreme pain and she was so kind and explained everything to me during the entire procedure, taking note I am terrified of any dental work. I am so thankful I found Dr. Tran through a referral from a friend. Dr. Tran helped me save my molar tooth from extraction. My poor molar tooth had undergone a poorly done root canal a couple years ago by some dentist I had found online, and I suffered with subsequent swelling and infection. Other dentists had told me I couldnt save the tooth and would need an extraction. Dr. Tran took some images and clearly explained to me all the options. She showed me the images on her tablet and pointed out what was wrong and how she was going to fix the problem. Dr. Tran was patient, answered all my questions, and I felt very well taken care of. My case was not a straightforward root canal, but with two visits, she was able to save my tooth with a more successful root canal. I liked how Dr. Tran showed me my post procedure xray as well to help me understand what was done. I was genuinely nervous about getting a root canal due to stories Ive heard about the procedure, but yesterday I was lucky to be referred to Dr. Lisa Tran and I got even luckier because she had availability to handle my root canal on the same day. I have to say, she is easily the best dentist (technically an Endodontist/specialist) Ive ever seen. I am EXTREMELY IMPRESSED that she was able to make a root canal far less painful (i.e., there was NO pain at all) than most procedures Ive received from other dentists ranging from ordinary cleanings (with the gumb scrapes) to fillings. The most I felt was pressure from the tools used, but even then, she was VERY ATTENTIVE to what I was feeling. Im sure the novacane helped, but Ive had numerous procedures where the novacane didnt turn the procedure into a pain-free experience, so that tells me she may just be the Greatest Of All Time (aka the G.O.A.T) of root canals.I am thankful that she made this easy, I appreciate her for that and I couldnt be happier that I was referred to her. Also, I had absolutely no pain immediately after the procedure and today (1 day after) if feels like nothing happened. Dr. Tran is clearly among the best in her field, she is easy to talk to and calming, and provides an overall EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. I recently slipped in the shower and shattered one of my top front teeth. I had to get a root canal in order for my dentist to be able to save what was left of my tooth, and he sent me directly to Dr. Tran. I am terrified of dentists (no really, I cried when I had to get some cavities filled last fall), so I was extra nervous for this procedure even though my dentist assured me she is the best.As soon as I met Dr. Tran, I felt at ease. I came to Dr. Lisa Tran needing what I thought was just one root canal, but we quickly realized during my first consultation that I needed two on the premolar next to the first bothersome one. I was in uncomfortable pain (tooth pain is really one of the worst) and Dr. Tran actually offered to keep her practice open past hours to let me come back and start treatment that day. I wasnt able to stay, so she brought me in first thing the next morning. You guys.... Im serious when I say I felt NOTHING. I was actually shocked when she said we were done. Not only was the procedure literally and figuratively painless but I had a good time... We listened to music and I laughed listening to her conversations with the hygienist. I also had a facial nerve close to the tooth that was being operated on, so Dr. Tran took x-rays to make sure she was being as efficient and careful as possible. Talk about specialized and extremely skilled care!I am usually terrified of the dentist, but was looking forward to my next visit. I felt so completely taken care of. I recently discovered a cracked canine tooth (so in the front) and I was in a panic because nothing like this had ever happened to my no cavities teeth.So I went in search of the best endodontist in Manhattan and I came across the Dr. Lisa Tran. After seeing Dr. Trans glowing reviews I gave her office a call. Her office manager was kind and caring and urged me to speak to Dr. Tran. She listened calmly and talked me through the procedure for thirty minutes. After our conversation I felt totally at ease.I hate going to the dentist. I am petrified of everything starting with the injections. The injections did not hurt because she used a special tool. I usually scream offices down and I honestly did not feel anything! I got to choose my own Pandora Station, listen to the camaraderie interlaced with the professional chatter of professionals knowing exactly what they were doing and i even kept my eyes open to watch her work. As she predicted it took 3 appointments. I only wish she could be my general dentist. If you have a root canal, save your anxiety for something else, and make an appointment with Dr. Tran

I just want to say that I had the best experience with Dr. Tran and her team. Not only was the staff very hospitable when I arrived they also managed to squeeze me in for a same day much needed, pain relieving procedure after it was only supposed to be a quick consult visit. Dr. Tran came highly recommended by my general dentist at Tend when it turned out that I needed 2 retreatments done to my root canals. I absolutely hate getting any sort of dental work and avoid it at all costs, but my experiences here was nothing short of amazing.Everyone Ive interacted with from the front desk (in person and over the phone), to the hygienists, to the xray person, to my endodontist were all friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It really helps ease the anxiety going into these procedures. The pricing is very reasonable despite the fact that theyre located in Midtown. (My works insurance definitely helps.)Ive done two long procedures so far. They take the time to explain everything, walk you through all the care, and next steps. Both times, I was told that I would need to alternate painkillers every few hours because it would be sore, but I actually did not need to at all. I think that says a lot about the quality/skill of the care!PS - Do not book on ZocDoc, they charge obscene fees. Just pick up a phone and call like the olden days.

I have had more root canals under my belt over the years than I’d have cared for - but WOW - my experience with Dr. Tran was hands down ... amazing! She has a delightful manner, explains all that is going on and has small and nimble fingers which work magic when pain is involved. The office is aesthetically pleasing and thought out and feels like a calming oasis when there is a lot of discomfort swirling around in your head. Dr. Tran followed up with texts and I actually texted a pic to make sure the swelling was within reason. Not something one usually can say about an endontist but, I actually was looking forward to my post-procedure follow up appointment with her just to “catch- up”! She’s a winner!

I cannot express how WONDERFUL Dr. Tran was during my recent root canal. I have major dental phobia and literally have panic attacks at the thought of visiting the dentist for a root canal. Dr. Tran assured me I would be fine and comfortable throughout the process. I remember having horrible experiences receiving novocaine shots and I’m not sure what kind of magic she performed, but I never saw the needle and only felt pressure. No real pain. Once I was fully numb she continued to check in to make sure I had no sensitivity and gave me more novocaine when necessary. I didn’t feel much besides pressure and some probing. I was so scared and she really calmed my anxiety. Dr Tran and her assistant were so patient and kind and held my hand during the entire process. It’s been 3 days since the procedure and I have no pain or swelling so far. If you need a root canal I highly recommend Dr. Tran. Im pretty certain you won’t find a better endodonist.

When my face blew up like a balloon, I was told Id need to have a previous root canal re-done. I panicked. My dentist referred me to Dr. Kaplan, but he no longer took my insurance so he referred me to Dr. Tran.The Good: She is a super competent endodontist. I pause to recommend her as this may cause too many people to come to her practice and subsequently she may no longer take insurance. She cleaned up my tooth with surgical precision and my dentist was able to fill her work with a cavity instead of new crown. She takes great pride in her work and it is meticulous. She answered her phone on a Saturday when I had concerns which was above and beyond.The Bad: I did feel she tried to upsell me on an x-ray from a machine that the office has in house. I felt a bit uncomfortable with this transaction. Also, she aims for your nerve when she injects novocaine. My experience when having other work done is that they dont aim directly for the nerve--She does, which numbs you instantly but if you are sensitive, it can be a jolt.Overall: If you are nervous or anxious about having root canal, go see Dr. Tran. She is knowledgeable, experienced, professional and compassionate.

I went to Dr. Tran for an infection in my root canal. My whole left cheek was swollen beyond belief and I was able to get an appointment the same day for my emergency. She was so polite and professional. After my initial visit, she sent me a text the next morning to follow up. I dont know ANY doctors that are this attentive, quite honestly. After subsequent visits, she would always check up on me via text making sure I was following her directions and I was feeling okay. Following the treatment with her, the swelling disappeared and I got my face back. Shes a rockstar!

I had a problem with 2 old root canals. It was a very tricky situation,because there were crowns on the teeth and each one had a 4th root that wasnt treated. You could not see this on a regular x ray so thats why it was so difficult to detect. Since Dr. Kaplan can take 3 D xrays, he was able to detect the extra root that most offices would not find even with digital xrays. The Dr. and his environment are not only soothing and comfortable, but he truly did a great job where other dentists were in awe.

She made the suffering process easier and will tell you what she is doing, what you may be feeling, and if you feel If she feels uncomfortable, she will adjust immediately. I went to see her twice for dental appointments. Dr. Tran is very responsible. My last tooth is very close to the wisdom teeth and the situation is complicated.
