I recently spent the first quarter of the year with Linda Rosts team of bookkeepers, who are excellent at their job. They also recommended an outstanding tax accountant, Martin Lowe CPA, who was a pleasure to work with. Our experience with Better Bookkeepers is relatively new, but so far, its been great. They have a very structured onboarding system that we found helpful. During this process, Linda takes the time to understand your goals, and the bookkeeper assigned to our account, Miss Ginger, has been efficient in handling our work. We are four months into our partnership, and our books are seamless. We dont even need to check in with them; they complete the work monthly, efficiently and accurately. If something is missing, they let us know and take care of it. This is such a relief for us, as weve had some terrible bookkeeping and accounting experiences in the past. Linda and the team at Better Bookkeepers are outstanding to say the least. I run a small Mustang business with 2 locations and that has customers worldwide. We have products/goods for sale, we provide service, and we build custom Mustangs. Linda spent time with us to understand our business and then tailored our bookkeeping system (QBO) for our business and specifically the way we conduct business. We had several sessions with Linda to create procedures and then fine tune the system. We now have a great handle on our accounting. We decided to enlist their services on a regular basis which has been invaluable in terms of time savings, error checking, monthly reconciliation, tax preparation, and general Q&A. As a professor of accounting at Foothill College I know the importance of accurate record keeping for a business. A business needs accurate books to generate financial statements that are used by management of the firm, lenders, investors, and tax preparers to make decisions and comply with the law. I had the opportunity to work with Linda Rost and her staff in late 2015. One of my clients was needing a full service bookkeeping service. My clients books operated on a cash basis but for operational purposes needed to on an accrual accounting basis. Linda and her staff accepted this challenge and completely reconciled all asset and liability accounts while suggesting new charts of accounts to facilitate better future reporting.They continue today to provide complete bookkeeping services including posting all payroll, accounts payable functions, and cash reporting reconciliations. They also assist in budget preparation and reporting. Running a new, small business is consuming enough, but having to deal with the fiscal side of things can be daunting. Add to that the specific financial nuances of a custom car building business and it becomes too much. BB to the rescue. We tried a few others but didnt get to where we wanted to be.
