Excellent customer service and Alex the technician is amazing. He was so thorough and double checked everything. I got a stairlift after my double knee replacement surgery and it was well used during my recovery. Highly recommend them and ask for Alex.

The footrest on my dads chair lift stopped retracting. Ivan came out and fixed it, told us what probably caused it (visitors who might have put a little too much weight on it). He was quick, clean and very polite. A great experience!!

Technician Eric arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. His work was excellent and he far out exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend him for any of your technical needs as he knew what he was doing. He corrected some issues that occurred from prior installation technician. Eric was very thorough and took the time to explain what he was doing as well as answer any of our questions or concerns and needs. I will definitely ask for him in event of needing a technician to service our chair in the future. Excellent experience!

The driver of van 2476 has complete disregard for the lives of others much less his own. This guy was weaving in an out of traffic on the 5fwy almost hitting several cars, tailgating 2-3ft away, driving 90+ on the carpool lane with no other occupants. After he noticed me recording him, he started to record me like if I had done something wrong. This review will stay up until a supervisor, manager or owner calls me back at the # I left on voice-mail. Oh and if you dont want this man costing your thousands of dollars in increased commercial auto insurance I would get rid of him.

Every step of the process with LifeWay was great. The chair lift works great and looks better than any of the others we looked at. It makes such a difference for my 88 year old father. He told us this is the best thing he could have ever done.

I researched so many stairlift companies. It was a bit overwhelming and some companies were pushing me to buy their product. Not Lifeway Mobility. We are so amazed at the service we received from my first phone call to Patrece to Manny who came out for a visit too give us a quote to Ivan who did the install. They made finding the perfect stairlift for my father so easy. Thank you Patrece, Manny and Ivan!My dad is sleeping upstairs for the first time in weeks. He is so happy to have this new freedom! My chair lift stopped working and I called for service. Noel came and diagnosed the problem right away. It was dead batteries. He replaced them but what was a better experience was that he explained how to maintain the chair and what to do to make the chair run smoothly between maintenance calls. I am giving a 1 star to Lifeway Mobility because of the quality of our recently installed custom chair. The problem is when the chair moves up/down the track it has 2 spots where it has a speed bump feel to it. When you look at the chair with nobody in the seat it jiggles in the perpendicular direction to the up/down motion when hitting these 2 spots. I inspected the track with the technician who came out to look at the problem. I saw that the seam where the track sections meet are not even. Someone tried to sand it down but they didnt do a good job of it. The technician said someone will call me back with a solution to the problem but I havent received a call back yet. Its been over 2 weeks since the technician looked at it & still no call back.JC

The installation of the chair lift was a snap installed by expert installers. This team made was could been difficult look easy and I have no complaints. This company was highly rated by people I have questioned and I was not dissatisfied. I would recommend them to my best friends. One last thing is to give a shout out to Manny Gomez for his explanation of the pros and cons of each option so that the best end product could be selected. After all is said and done I am extremely happy with all the decisions we made s as no would not change ANYTHING about the product or the company I chose to work with. Two professionals I use and trust in my treatment both independently said that “there were a number of great companies but this is the best one” and I will say that to anyone i who asks. We have 2 stair chair lifts. Life Mobility/Gamburd have serviced them every year since they installed them in 2016. In the past years the cost was $420. This year the cost was $860. I thought that was a very large jump for 30 - 45 minutes work and a little grease, and new batteries. The man who came was very nice and professional. He was very helpful and really knew what he was doing. My only complaint is the ridiculous jump in price for a simple service call.

Noel the service gentleman came out to service my mothers chair lift. He was prompt and professional. He had my mothers phone number and was trying to call. I saw he was waiting and went down to check with him. I assured him he was at the right place she just double booked and had to take off to the dentist. I would be there for the service. He worked quickly and diagnosed the problem. He then cleaned the rail system and showed me areas to clean. He replaced the batteries as they were weak and not quite up to the task and showed me that the batteries date was older. I think the chair lift people that installed the lift may have put in an older set of batteries in the first place. The company installed my stairlift in 2010, and have done maintenance and repairs ever since. They do good work.My stairlift started acting up about five days ago, and I was able to make an assessment/repair appointment quickly and easily. Charging $300 just to come out & another $100 for batteries is outrageous. The majority of people who own stairlifts are elderly and are on fixed incomes. FAIR - The first scheduled installation date/ time was missed...no-show, no call. Apparently, a part had not arrived on-time but nobody followed up to advise us, so we were waiting on the promised installation date with no notification that nobody was coming. This was frustrating because we had cancelled other commitments. The second scheduled installation date went ahead but I had asked for a confirmation email and confirmation telephone call the day prior but neither occurred. There seems to be a disconnect between the Sales and Installation teams. The Installer (Noel Blanco) was efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable. Overall, the stair lift is very good.

And because it wasnt custom, they were able to return the next business day with the whole machine. My wife and I are both over 80 years old and cannot walk anymore. We put off investing in a chair lift due to the high prices. After much research we decided to purchase an American made Stairlift, and settled on the Gamburd, product. The staff at Gamburd, lifeway mobility are exceptional great to deal with. The installation crews and service men were very professional, knowledgeable and worked hard at problem solving. The first day after installation we used the stair lift 29 times in our 3 level house. The $1,975.00 folding rail started acting up, and after 4 or 5 service calls it was decided to replace the complete installation. A few weeks later the $800.00 Power Swivel seat froze in an open position blocking half the stairway.From the installation of June 30 till the replacement on September 20th, best part of 3 month, before the Stair lift was properly working. The bottom line is that we are extreemely happy to have a stair lift that works and thankfull to the staff and service department for help.

They sent one of their technicians, Auggie, the same day. He was great. Due to a sudden decline in my moms health I was in a position to need to make some accessibility improvements to my house. I found Gamburg through a search of the LA City housing dept. and found they were located close to me. We are extremely happy with it and Gamburd.We were in fairly severe need of this chair lift, and held our breath waiting for the install date. Gamburd delivered on time. There was a snag in the install but David, Gamburds leadership, and that at Bruno all bent over backwards to get the installation completed and perfect.We simply could not be more impressed with everyones concerns, professionalism and courtesy. The installers told me what they were doing, asked for our input when needed, walked us through use and care, and left our home spotless.We purchased a one story lift for a box style stair case in our home in Mar Vista, Los Angeles. The steps are not particularly wide where there was rail on both sides but David measured carefully and it fits the chair and rider perfectly. We got the auto foot rest lift which gives us extra space when the chair is parked at the top. We decided to upgrade carpet and flooring that would be under the chair before the installation, and we chose to bias our choices to blend with the rail and chair. We were inspired by the Bruno pictures to paint our stair banisters etc. white. The result not only looks very nice, bright and modern, it truly adds to the house, making us proud to have it there. The common comment on the rail is that it looks graceful.

We purchased a Bruno stairlift from Gamburd, Inc. We are happy with the chair and were pleased with the entire experience of working with the folks at Gamburd. The sales person, David, was available to come to our house on short notice and to describe the product. We decided on the spot that what he offered would work for us. David then spent about an hour making measurements for the needed engineering drawings. Our application was somewhat complicated because the stairway has two 90-degree bends. For that reason, we needed a custom rail, which was manufactured in the mid-west with a lead time of four weeks. The system was delivered promptly on the promised date and time and was installed without a hitch in less than three hours. The stairlift has worked flawlessly since then. I purchased a Bruno Elite stair chair from Gamburd after getting quotes from 3 companies. It is a straight basic stairway but I wanted the 400lb capacity that only a few chairs including the Bruno Elite have.Manny from Gamburd listened to my requirements and showed how the Bruno met them. He answered all my questions about the manufacturer and model as well as Gamburds approach to installing that chair in our house. He emailed me a quote that night and ultimately Gamburds bid was the winner because their price was competitive, their service capabilities matched or surpassed the competition, and they were willing to handle the extended distance to an electrical outlet, saving me from finding an electrician to install a new one.The back and forth communication was easy and responsive. The equipment arrived from the manufacturer in a couple weeks as planned and the young men arrived early in their projected 2 hour window the next day to install it. Richard and Jacob did a good clean job and finished in less than 4 hours. There was a lot going on in our house that day but they walked me through the training and left me with no questions and a good feeling on my choice.All of my family members enjoy using the stair chair and it has enabled them access to the upstairs that they didnt easily have before.After a couple weeks I e-mailed Manny with a few questions and he responded promptly, giving me helpful links to YouTube videos on maintenance and troubleshooting. Later I brought up what I thought was probably a cosmetic issue, some marks on the rail. Excellent, professional work to create an accessible bathroomGamburd recently completed an extensive renovation of the master bathroom in our 1-story house to make it safe and accessible as we age. They removed a small oval bathtub, created a new curbless shower that can be used with a wheelchair, removed a dark “closet” around the toilet and installed grab bars next to the toilet and in the shower area.We are 100% pleased with the work and the process. After a fruitless search for the right contractor, we saw a truck on the freeway marked “Gamburd Inc…. Accessible bathrooms.” We looked them up online and found a company that specializes in home modifications to accommodate disability—stair chairs, ramps, grab bars, and curbless showers! Their license checked out with the Contractors’ State License Board. Their knowledgeable salesman David measured the room and drafted proposed computer layouts. We visited their showroom in Pacoima, where we discussed our needs and ideas with owner Israel Gamburd. A very happy client whose house Gamburd had remodeled to accommodate a paraplegic family member gave them a glowing reference. Gamburd sent us a written quote; then, Israel, David, and construction foreman Juan H visited us to go over the quote and clarify details about what we wanted. When we signed the detailed cost breakdown and payment schedule, we were confident we were in the right hands. Gamburd obtained the building permit and managed city inspections.Our project lead Irwin coordinated closely with foreman Juan H; the Gamburd team also included Sergio, Manny, Miguel, Juan L, Rudy, and Jose, each with special skills. Work started with a full day of preparation, placing protective Ramboard on the floors throughout the house and plastic Zipwalls to contain dust from the work. The Schluter products they installed worked perfectly to leakproof the shower area and ensure proper drainage. At the first electrical and plumbing inspection, the city inspector told us we had a good contractor, and we passed all inspections without modifications. Irwin and Juan H consulted with us frequently on many issues—heights of the counters, shower bench and grab bars, placement of medicine cabinets and electrical fixtures, the pattern of tile installation. Communication, teamwork, and craftsmanship were always excellent; it was a pleasure to have these guys around.At the end of the project, the only added costs were minor, for unplanned electrical work required to correct problems with the original house wiring and for installing new floor tile in the laundry room at our request, not part of the original project.Bottom line: excellent work done by a very competent professional team. We have a split level house with an internal staircase with a tricky, tight right angle turn. Gamburd and his crew worked with us to find a solution for our growing son who has had multiple seizures a day. His falls can kill him. We considered padded walls and eventually decided on a ceiling tracking system. My son gets in a harness and can walk wherever he wants in the bathroom without someone standing by his side. It has been a huge gift to us and to our son.Irwin, Juan, Jose and the others who were in our house for three weeks were also wonderful. Israel came to our rescue on an elevator project for our remodel. We had been working with another company that was extremely poorly run that abandoned us after we had already constructed the shaft for the elevator. The Gamburd Stairlift allows my 91-year old mother to have access to her entire house. The installation was done very quickly and efficiently and the product is all the company claims and more. We purchased a used 2014 Bruno chair in 2018 and it was installed by Gamburd.We paid $4200 for the railings, installation and the used chair. It is a LOT of money, but we were happy to have that outdoor stairlift chair.2 years 7 months later our chair stopped working, despite it being used 3-4 times a week only.We called Gamburd, technician came in couple days.1. We had only F-3 code flashing (which is usually an indicator for a bad battery).2. Chair was responding by clicking and all the codes were lit up (which means circuit board was still working).3. Chair was not making any noises and in the “ON” position.After technician got to our house, he replaced the circuit board and the batteries, not asking us if we would like him to do that (with social distancing you can’t really see what a person 6 feet from you is doing).Then he told us that we have to pay almost $1200 for the parts and his work!We were totally shocked by the fact that he told us that AFTER he installed the new parts and he didn’t discuss with us what was actually wrong with the chair.Of course, we refused to pay such a ridiculous amount of money. And we asked him to bring chair to the EXACT stage that he found it when got here.He couldn’t do it! He spent more than an hour, he called someone and tried it again, but chair was constantly loudly beeping and he couldn’t do anything with that. So he told us that it’s the fault of our circuit board! He powered down our chair and left. Now we can’t even turn it on, so it’s more broken than before he got here.Technician also told us that our circuit board got wet and that was the reason the chair stopped moving.1. We keep our chair covered. And! We live in California where it rains several times a year only. So for an OUTdoor chair to talk about water getting on a circuit board was not a right thing.2. Technician showed up at our house with a different circuit board. Which is not very usual for someone who diagnosts and fixes stairlifts. Usually they have to order that NEW part from a manufacturer IF that part is really broken.3. We had all the lights and codes ON and the chair was staying in the on positions, which is an indicator that the circuit board was NOT broken.4. Technician also scraped the serial number and the date under the seat of our chair. We saw it several days later after comparing to pictures that have been taking before he arrived.We will NEVER deal with Gamburd again.My advice - do NOT buy a used chair from them EVER. $4200 is a LOT of money for something to be getting fixed in less than 3 years for almost $1200!You can buy a new chair for that money and get a good warranty from a good manufacturer.

We had a stair lift installed in our home for my Mother who has fibromyalgia. From the presentation of their product to the install, the process could not have been easier. I was concerned about the actual install and it being a messy job, but I was very pleased at the care taken in not creating a mess. Now that we have had the chair for a little over a month, I am so glad we made this purchase! Every one is happier and no more complaining about painful steps up and down the stairs. At first when we contacted Gamburd about installing a stair lift for my 90 year old mother they were very friendly and eager to talk to us about the benefits of the installation. It took us a while to make a decision about which company to choose and they were constantly harassing us with phone calls. Then we finally decided to choose Gamburd to install the stair lift. The stair lift worked great and my Mom really liked it. Unfortunately, my Mom died a week after it was installed, so we asked about the buy-back program they told us about. We were appalled to learn that they were only offering $750.00 after we had just paid them about $6700.00. I would not recommend this company as they are dishonest.

Very smooth transaction, from the purchase of the lift to the installation. The Elan Stair Lift saved my sanity. I had major surgery on my leg and will not be able to walk for months. Going up and down the stairs was challenging and dangerous. Now, I am more mobile, and that makes a big difference. I cannot say enough positive things about Israel and his team at Gamburd.I work for a large film festival in Los Angeles and we had a special request. We needed a safe and smooth way to get an important guest down about 100 stairs in an old theater to the stage. We could not install a ramp due to the incline and a wall chair was not an option. When I thought we would never have an option, in came Israel.We rented a Scalamobil system from Israel and he set us up with an A+ operator, Brian. Even though these one day rentals are not typical for Gamburd, Israel worked with us to get us what we needed.Not only was the apparatus perfect for us but the gentleman he sent to operate it, Brian, was even better. Brian worked with us as things changed last minute and helped our guest have a smooth and dignified transition from her chair to the stage.I would be happy to work with Israel, Gamburd and Brian again in a heartbeat. IF YOU NEED A CHAIR LIFT YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG USING THIS COMPANY! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FANTASTIC! I broke my right ankle the beginning of September and was stuck upstairs for 3 weeks. I wanted my freedom back asap. I found Gamburd’s website on Google and saw that their reviews were excellent and that their hours were 8am to 10pm. I called them at 4:45pm and left a message and a salesperson by the name of Eydie called me back at 8pm and within an half hour we made arrangements to have the chair lift installed the next day (late in the afternoon). The next morning the contract was in my g-mail and I signed it immediately and 10 minutes later Eydie called me for my credit card information and I was told that Auggie would be at our house at 5pm. Auggie installed our chair lift from 5pm to 10pm. While Auggie was in our house I was in contact with Eydie regarding Auggie and the installation progress. Gamburd was (on both occasions) prompt and responsive. But whats particularly impressive is that their technician (Agustin Rivera in this case) was not just knowledgeable but could clearly explain the alternatives and give clear reasons for his recommendations. In one instance, we suggested one approach but were talked out of it by the reasons given for an alternative. He also patiently demonstrated the how to of using what he installed (before and after).
