Can’t say enough great things about this place! Few places are willing to work on my diesel truck because it is a dually. Life’s Good Racing? No problem! The only place I trust with my truck. Went to “Life’s Good Racing and Street Performance “ for new brakes and had them also add a TRD rear sway bar for my 2016 Tundra. WOW! What service. I dropped off my truck in the morning and it was finished by the end of the day!The HAWK brake pads they installed help my 150,00 mile plus truck stop on a dime and now it handles like a sport sedan with the rear sway bar!If you have any upgrades you want done on your new or older car or truck, LGR can do the work for you. Even if you’re not sure how to upgrade your vehicle, they can make suggestions and they will steer you in the right direction.They can also upgrade your race car or your track day car because they have a full race and fabrication shop.Best of all, they are affordable, experienced, and the friendliest shop around….Dave P.Aptos CA

I have been a customer of lifes good racing for the last year and a half. They have rebuilt my 1964 grand prix (LOLA) from a devastating engine fire. They are one of the most competent custom shops that I have found since I have been in hot rodding. There is absolutely nothing they cannot do. I have been doing custom fab work since I was 16. Im 73 now and it is getting more difficult for me to do the heavy work. It was a big stroke of luck to find this group of young mechanics/fabricators that I can trust. They take the time to explain the pitfalls and the ways to solve them. Between Chris, Tim, Chris, and Dave there has been nothing they couldnt do. The best thing for a hands on guy like me is that they listen to my input. They looked out for me when parts were not the correct ones and dealt with the suppliers to solve the problem.I just cant say enough nice things about this group of guys.Thanks,Mario(Posted by his son)

I brought my 2002 Toyota Avalon Limited in to Life’s Good Racing! To upgrade my headlights as I was having difficulties seeing at night.They recommended I replace and upgrade the front headlight lenses and bulbs, and I’m glad they did!Not just better, but SO MUCH BETTER and SAFER! I can see at night again.Fast, friendly, clean, accommodating and reasonably priced. These guys are the best.Thanks Chris and Chris!I’ll be back.

I greatly appreciate the guys at Lifes Good Racing. I have a 03 Cobra that needed a new clutch and Flywheel. I also needed to swap out my old coilovers. What I appreciated most about this shop is that they were extremely transparent and had very good communication with myself when it came to what was wrong and what was needed. They also were very quick in getting the car fitted and back to me in 3-4 days. This will be my new go to shop going forward.. eventho I live an hour away in Marin County.. its worth the drive for the great service they offer and provide. These guys are awesome! I could not be happier with the hospitality and service. I have a 2017 Civic with some performance modifications to the suspension. I started experiencing some noise in the rear suspension and I couldn’t find it. Chris and Chris at this shop were fantastic!! They found the noise and then went through the rear suspension found some other little things that somehow worked loose.I am so stoked. The drive back to work was quiet and felt so good now. I will absolutely be coming back to LGR for further projects.This is a quality shop and quality people

This is great shop. They do high quality work at a fair price! The service manager is a straight shooter and communicates well. The techs take pride in their work and it shows. I had an outstanding experience getting my Cadillac CTS-V repaired at LGR & Street Perf. I had A-arms replaced, new dual clutch, manual transmission repair and general scheduled maintenance performed. All the work was done in reasonable time and didn’t exceed initial estimate. I highly recommend their service.

Had lowering springs installed on my WRX through LGR. Had tried calling many different shops but found Chris to be the most helpful and friendly. He gave me feedback on what I was doing with the car as well as advice on what the car could need in the future. They were able to get me in the day after I called and the install went perfect. I was driving through Livermore on 580 when I heard a strange noise coming from under the hood of my car, a Range Rover.Not being from the area, I looked for a 5 Star rated auto service shop and found Life’s Good Racing!They got me right in and fixed it on the spot. Chris, Chris and David are absolutely amazing. I wont take my nice cars to anyone else other than this team at LGR. It sounds like Im over exaggerating, but once you work with them youll know what Im talking about. Their attention to detail when working on your car is second to none. Chris will keep you in the loop every step of the way so you know whats going on. These are all people passionate about cars and racing. All of them have their own builds outside of work. That says something. How many people want to do the thing they do at work when they arent at work? Not many. LGR isnt just a shining example of how a car shop should be run. Its an example of how everyone should run a successful business. If you cant tell, Ive drank the LGR CoolAid. FYI, Ive had them work on my past cars - 08 Corvette Z06 and 14 Viper. Now they are helping me with my current car - 13 Z06.

I used this shop for a full engine removal and replacement for my Corvette Z06, and added an accusump system for the track. They sourced the motor and all the parts and they gave me almost daily updates and professional advice about my car. I was blown away by the level of service and professionalism. I am extremely happy with this shop and highly recommend them. They know what they’re talking about and they don’t waste any time getting it done. 5 stars!

Exceptional service and communication at a fair price! Highly recommend.Chris and Dave diagnosed and corrected an air/oil separator installation that was throwing errors and installed a cylinder 4 cooling mod on a 2018 Subaru STI type RA. They were efficient, shared pictures and communicated throughout. Will definitely use them again.

I cant say enough good things about Lifes Good Racing. I took my wifes 67 Chrysler Newport there to have the carburetor tuned and get an overall health check on the car. The car has great sentimental value to my wife, so it was important for me to find a shop that would take good care of it. Although the job was relatively a minor one given the type of work the shop specializes in, Chris and the team never made us feel the job was too small. Throughout the time the car was in the shop, I received updates from Chris on the work, and they even helped me by fixing radiator shroud that was making this annoying rattling sound. At no time did he ever try to up sell me, quite to the contrary, Chris discouraged me from making a modification that I had planned for car reminding me of the importance of keeping the car in its original condition since it is considered a classic. Who does that anymore?? I couldnt be happier with the service I received from the crew at Lifes Good Racing, and I will definitely come back to for the continued maintenance on the 67 Newport. Thanks Chris, you and the crew are top notch!

Im so glad that I found Lifes Good Racing. Chris and his team were great to work with. I brought 2008 Corvette Z06 in to fix some O2 sensor issues. I had taken the car to a Chevy dealership first and they gave me a wrong diagnosis. Then I took it to another shop in San Jose and they scammed me out of some money and came up with another wrong diagnosis. Finally I found Lifes Good Racing and they fixed everything. Chris was awesome to work with. He always followed up. He even checked on everything a couple days after the work was done. He was totally honest and upfront about everything. I am thrilled that we have a shop like this in the east bay. Theyll be getting all my business when it comes to my Vette and Viper. Thanks guys!

I dont usually write reviews, but I seriously owe it to any fellow car enthusiast out there, to put the word out about LG Racing.I went to LG with a project car needing a LOT of loose ends tied up. I had taken it to another shop that ultimately just didnt have the time to finish it up. I myself didnt have the time, (or more importantly the knowledge or skills) to even dream of finishing this by myself, and I was starting to doubt that this car was ever going to get finished.Chris in the front office was friendly and very methodical in outlining what needed to be done and how his team recommend going about it. In a nutshell, they told me what they were going to do, and then they went and did it. They were of course little bumps along the way, but anytime this happened I was able to speak directly with the tech whose area of expertise this was, whether it was a wiring, suspension or brake issue, etc. Before I knew it, they had turned by stagnant project car into a mechanically sound BEAST. I still can hardly believe they did so much, and with such amazing attention to detail, in the space of several weeks.Several days after I took the car home Chris called just to check up on me and make sure the car was doing OK, and to see if I had any questions. I honestly dont remember the last time ANYONE showed this type of follow up.For what its worth, I live 2 hours away from their shop and I dont plan on letting anyone else ever work on the car- even if that means towing it there.If you are contemplating a large (or even small) project for your car, you owe it to yourself to give Chris and the guys at LG a call before you consider going anywhere else.

I ordered American Racing Headers (ARH) for my Challenger Hellcat through LIfes Good Racing (LGR) and solicited their expertise/labor to have them installed. The installation went off without a hitch, but the new headers presented an issue with what felt like the steering linkage rubbing against them as well as a ticking sound. LGR got me back into the shop quickly to troubleshoot the problem. In working with the manufacturer of the headers it was discovered that there was an imperfection in its size and was causing the rubbing against the steering linkage. LGR worked with ARH to have a new part shipped immediately. The ticking was still present after the new part was installed and again, LGR troubleshot the car until they discovered that one of the lug-nuts on the driver side front wheel was loose and was making the noise. The presence of the new headers also caused the car to throw a couple diagnostic codes, making the check engine light come on. Those were analyzed, the car was checked for faults again and the code cleared.LGR continually went out of their way to ensure they delivered my car back to me in good working order and at no additional expense to me. At no point during the process did I feel as though I was being handled and was very comfortable with their expressed levels of professionalism, honesty and competence. I will very likely use LGR again for future maintenance needs and would recommend them to anyone.

Finally some nice down-to-earth mechanics!The shop is awesome. Some track ready e46s, Camaro, the owner drives a classic stingray. All good stuff. Felt like the whole process was very transparent and personally tailored to me. It looks like they can help you take your project as far as you want to go and even offer track training sessions etc... They are also a distributor for many different brands, so check here first for pricing before you go online, most likely theyll be lower and youll get to stop by the cool shop too :).Had some poly bushings, tires, quick coilover adjustment, and alignment done and Im very happy and will come back. The first shop that gave me a good feeling doing business with them as soon as I walked in and I wasnt disappointed driving home. 5 stars for sure.

He is very knowledge, very genuine individual and puts customer service as first priority which is not that common now of days.To be completely honest I didnt expect the owner of LGR to be the one help me out with my order. Chris and the guys over at Life’s Good Racing are blessed by the automotive gods. For reference I’m difficult to impress and it’s even harder to gain my trust. These guys have blown me away time and time again with their honesty, knowledge, wisdom, and skill.This shop is not out to make as much profit as they can out of their clients. Their pricing is fair, they won’t upsell you, and will steer you away from extras you don’t need. In other words it’s not all about the money. Just by talking to them you can tell they have a passion for cars. They treat your vehicle like it’s their own.If something doesn’t fit or isn’t available to work with your car they have the skills to fabricate it. They have fabricated several parts for me and they aren’t something just slapped together.I recently had them do a transmission swap for me. I’m beyond impressed with how it turned out, the fabricated parts looked like art pieces even though they are parts that the average person would never see. The level of detail is incredible.I’ve been going to this shop for over 3 years now and I look forward to future projects in the years to come.Thanks boys!!!
