A very good experience. The person who helped me was knowledgeable and made the process easy. He was also very agreeable to show me the unit and answer all of the questions that I had. The facility is very nice and better than those I have encountered in the Bay Area (San Jose, Gilroy, etc.). Facility was well maintained and clean.The only improvement that I could suggest is to have more carts available for customers.

I have been using Life Storage for several years and been happy with the service Ive received. Recently, my storage need changed and I needed to switch to a smaller unit.The store manager, Charlotte, was exceptionally helpful in getting this accomplished. Very professional and helpful, with a bonus of a positive attitude.She went over and above to make the transition painless and stress free.Highly recommend.

My storage unit continued to increase. I called and spoke to Charlie about my concerns. By the end of the day I had another storage unit reserved and for much less than my old unit! Just to let everyone know I have only had my storage here for three months I was paying $129 a month then this month in May of 2024 they raised my monthly storage rate to $80 more a month. This is crazy I hjavent even been there three months and they raise it by $80. DO not trust this storage company they are scandalous.

We recently purchased a 25ft RV and were in need of storage space. Not expecting to have any luck finding a vacancy, I went to Life Storage and met with Joe (Manager). Not only did he accommodate my RV, he ensured that my ingress and egress would be as easy as possible. He directed me to a pull through spot that fit my RV perfectly. Not only was Joe accommodating, he was extremely nice, personable and professional. My wife and I are very pleased with our experience at Life Storage and with Joe. We will definitely be recommending this location to our friends who also own RV’s.

Awful to deal with. Couldn’t get my access code the day I was supposed to move in, forced to change my plans because it happened to be a Sunday and they’re closed. 24/7 customer service line tells me I can’t get access until I show my ID to the property and tells me I can do it tomorrow, monday. This location is closed mondays. Oh but there’s a little piece of paper in the window stating this even though these hours aren’t tracked in their system or updated online. So I’m SOL at this point with all of my stuff in a Uhaul and nowhere to put it the day before I leave for deployment. Call customer service again, demand a refund and they tell me it will be processed. Alright, perfect. Almost two weeks go by, nothing. I call again, apparently I’m still a customer and moved in on my original move in date. Can’t get ahold of the actual customer service line and every number listed and given to me redirects to the location I had a reservation with. Still got charged and didn’t process my refund or at least make this location aware of it. I’d give one star but the employee I talked to just at the el dorado hills location just now seemed sincere, professional, and he was trying to help so, two stars.

On about Oct 27th I went to Life Storage to rent a small locker for my holiday decorations. I was assisted by James and he was very helpful in showing me the sizes and prices available. He took me to the locker to show me where the locker was located in the complex and how to use the key. (Not easy for me!) He was very pleasant and I enjoyed working with him. My family has been a customer of this facility for years. Unfortunately we had to terminate our storage locker agreement because we moved away this year. However, I would just like to say how great we were treated throughout our entire move out process!No one in their right mind likes moving, let alone through a pandemic, but the folks in their front office really made this process as easy as possible for us! Special thanks as well to Megan at the front desk for helping us out, and tracking down some extra moving dolly’s for us, much appreciated!

Read this.. I really believe 3 stars would be more accurate. There is one reason and only one that this place isnt five star fantastic. They advertise as Air Cooled. ITS SWELTERING & Trying to do anything like go through or straighten out a storage is next to impossible. I rented these thinking I could work in them to reduce all the things I have, and now Im stuck. Staff is really great. The yard and building are clean, and they are up to date. They open really early & stay open late. Best of all, its a very convenient location. Prices seem to be a bit less....then the competition.

Closing my storage rental today .sept 10 .2022. 10th day in to september they want to charge my me $160. Was suposed to get an e mail of the cancaling of my storage unit to sign today but they failed to send it to my e mail. . Now we have a problem . Raising our storage fees $40 more was pure greed. In office issue of a problem cant be resolved .disrict manager may help i dont know ?.lets hope some one from this company sees that customer service is important.

Im not one for taking the time to write a review about a business, but I couldnt not spread the word about the great service I received at Life Storage in el dorado hills, ca. The facility is super clean and set up really well. I was most blown away by the customer service my mom and I received. Im not sure if the guy helping us was the store manager, but he was amazing! I think his name was Shamus. He represented himself professionally, answered all of our questions and went above and beyond when we arrived to drop off our storage. He helped us unload the truck! Who does that without being paid?! I just thought it was awesome and its refreshing to give business to a place that deserves it.

I rented a 10x10 unit. Their website is up-to-date and really user friendly. I was able to fill out all the paperwork and reserve the unit I wanted on their website at 11 PM and moved my stuff in the next day. So far my experience with LifeStorage has been great and I cant complain about the price, best in the area for a temperature controlled unit.

We stored our RV here while visiting family through the holidays 21. Signup and billing were surprisingly easy. Temporary RV storage was tricky, as we were unable to make any type of reservation ahead of time, however staff/management were helpful and tried to accommodate us as early as policy allowed.Where things went wrong is we incurred a petty theft out of one of our unlocked RV holds. 2 kids chairs and collapsible wagon. Not the end of the world, but pretty frustrating given you pay for the security. I called to notify them of the date range of the theft (was never outside of our possession or observation other than at the facility), and the rep never followed up.After 1.5 years on the road full timing in our RV, the only time weve been stolen from was at Life Storage, EDH. Obviously theyre not liable, but lock your stuff.Edited to include dates: theft occurred likely between 12/29 and 12/30, called and notified 12/31/21

We have used Life Storage on Latrobe Road in El Dorado Hills off and on for many years. We had a drive up roll-top storage unit for several years. Now we got a parking spot for our new RV. They were so friendly and the checkout process was very easy. For Covid, only one customer is allowed in their office at a time. They have also set up their payment system to accommodate social distancing (a computer monitor facing the customer allows you to view and electronically sign all documents. The credit card machine is set up so that you can insert your card yourself. I was very impressed!

Just rented a small storage. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I liked that the storage is indoors. Prices were competitive with other location but the difference that set LifeStorage ahead of the others were that they provided more options for smaller sizes; the storage doors were located in the main hallway instead of a narrow walkway that I found all the other storage places had them located; the doors were placed on the longer length of the storage, which made it easier to place our items; they provided a flatbed for people to transport stuff from their vehicle to the storage location; The facility was very clean.

Since these guys bought out the local company they have raised the rates three times in less than 1 year and have forced users to buy their insurance at another $10/month. I have been trying to get someone besides the local store manage on the phone since November and have yet to be successful. Do Not store your things here! My boat was taken from its parking spot and used before being returned dirty with 4.5 hours put on it. Sounds crazy right? Im not kidding. Its my belief that someone who works there was probably involved. When I complained about the lack of security, I was told their cameras only go back 30 days and they dont have time to look into it. If you care about your things, dont risk storing them here!!!
