The studio space is so warm and inviting, just as Li Mei is herself, and its lovely to sit with a cup of coffee and converse with her about the inspiration behind each piece. Her work captures the beauty and emotion behind her subjects, and the colors and texture draw you in. Li Mei is a true local talent! If youre looking to commission a piece for your home, youve found the right place. This is a great studio to visit in Pasadena, where you can meet the artist behind the vision. A must visit!

2021-12-08 04:01:10Im not trained in art appreciation, but I can confidently say that Li Mei is a exceptional artist. Somehow, she captures the essence of whomever she paints. The portraits and other paintings have depth. Subjects truly come alive on the canvas. I recommend a visit to her gallery.Li Mei will paint a subject on commission. I recommend her work.

When Li Mei presented me with my beloved partner’s portrait, it brought tears and touched not only my heart, but also my soul. Li Mei is an extraordinary, unique, and gifted artist. She is passionate about her work, and her genuine and loving personality are shown on her amazing work of the portraits she paints. Li Mei perfectly captures the essence, personality and soul of her characters. She is original, and I am grateful to own Li Mei’s original work!

2023-07-01 17:04:43Li Mei did a commission piece for me. I came to her wanting to gift my partner a painting of his late daughter (2) and she delivered!! He was so emotional and happy. Li Mei captured her innocence and beauty in the portrait. So so happy! Can’t wait to have her paint my late brother for my mother. Thank you Li Mei!!!

2021-11-20 04:19:26I’m a huge fan of Li Mei’s art! In two weeks time, Li Mei has created a beautiful and cozy art gallery/studio on Green Street in Pasadena, California. It’s definitely worth a visit when you’re in the area.Li Mei paints mostly faces and has a keen eye for capturing the essential personality of her subjects. Her figures, still lives and landscapes also carry the same qualities as her portraits. Her confident brush strokes and bold color choices create delightful paintings that truly touch the heart. They are fresh and soulful.Li Mei is a self trained artist who has had the desire to do art since she was very little. Now she is manifesting her dream! She paints from her heart, completely intuitive, and in turn touches the hearts of her viewers.Li Mei, you’re a rockstar!

When I look at her paintings I am struck by the way she captures the expression in her subjects eyes. She is also a kind and beautiful person inside and out. She literally brought me to tears when she presented me with my “fur babies” portrait. She captured their unique personalities & soul. I am so lucky to have found her & she accepted my project. People who appreciate art should look at her works; better yet, stop by her studio & you will be “blown away” by her works & feel the great energy surrounding her persona.
