Decided to leave and so glad I did. Dropped my credit score significantly low…. How is this supposed to be helping me? Also, was told loan companies for school do not look at my credit history and that’s not true. Grad plus loan look at credit history to determine if you get it. Glad i was able to get my refund back and I highly recommend to not do this program.

Natalie expressed concern over my monthly payment and short term. I understood what she thought. She talked about in 6 months I could get a loan from them. This is what I am considering now. I look forward to our talk later today.

I have been entirely misled. I signed up in July ‘23 and was told all my creditors would be contacted on my behalf and notified that I have entered into a consolidation program, yet I am still getting numerous DAILY calls 10 months later (in addition to letters and emails) where my creditors state they have never heard or seen anything from Level Debt, and they have since put my accounts into collection status, further ruining my credit.

I was contacted by Level debt for a consultation with my credit cards 5 total. After they set up a payment plan for me for four years and I accepted and signed with them they contacted me and said they couldnt take my visa with my credit union so I had to take out a personal loan for $10,000 to pay off that card but my payments didnt drop with level debt. I started making payments with this company and after a year they contacted me and said that i needed to send them $3,000 or my payments would be going up. After 3 years and 10 months they contacted me and said that my payments was going to double for 1 more year. I had to mortage my car for 6,000 dollars to finally get this company off my back. If you are smart you will stay as far away from this company as you can..Dont walk away. RUN!!!

I was wildly misled by Level Debt about what I was signing up for and I want everyone to understand the lasting negative impact that their scam has had on my financial future:The language Gentry used on the call explaining the debt settlement process made it seem as if Chase Bank was doing something illegal by charging me so much interest on my credit card account. What I was led to believe was that Level Debt was assuming control of my account and settling with Chase. At no point in time was it explained to me that what was actually happening was I was letting my credit card DEFAULT, the debt written off as bad debt and subject to settlement. My credit card account with Chase bank and Wells Fargo was closed, which nobody told me would happen, along with the other two lines of credit with Chase that I always paid off fully and carried no balance on. That credit from the bank was MY ONLY SAFETY NET in case of emergencies. Now I am ineligible for credit with Chase, and probably most other banks. I have no liquidity in the event of a personal emergency now.In addition to this, my credit score, which was in the 760 range before I signed on with Level Debt, is now in the 570 range. From great credit to poor credit in one foul swoop. This default will stay on my credit report for YEARS. Level Debt claimed the impact to your credit is temporary. This characterization of the impact to my credit report was hugely misleading. I am now going to be paying even higher interest rates on ALL forms of lending (car, home, etc) over the next 7 years due to the default with Chase. My car is on its last legs. When I go to apply for a car loan with a 570 score, Im going to get horrible interest rate offers that might cost me hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Again, my credit and credit score were my only safety nets, and Level Debt quickly undid years of hard work making regular, on-time payments to build great credit. Its a terrifying prospect.I am losing sleep and so, so anxious because I have no recourse with the bank now. Ive spent hours on the phone with Chase customer service explaining the ways I was misled by this company into defaulting on my card. From A-to-Z I feel I was scammed - from the threatening, official piece of mail I received indicating penalties for failing to respond to you to the advice from Brandi that I just needed to take a leap of faith with Level Debt to settle my account. No customer service agent with Chase has been able to help me get out of the hole Level Debt dug for me.I was advised by Chase bank to file a police report. I will also be reporting the agency to the better business bureau and posting this review on all relevant sites.I wanted to update my review nearly a year later to say that I’m still dealing with the negative impacts to my credit. Level Debt mislead me to make money, and left me agonizing about my credit score, worrying over it every day. Signing up with Level Debt was the worst financial decision I have ever made.

Brandi was spot on with everything she went over with me, kind, patient and so empathetic. She rocked my world today and gave me hope for another day.

A couple years ago I signed on with Level Debt. I was starting to struggle to make my minimum payments to my creditors after some time off due to illness and using my cards to get by during that time. Fast forward to today and I am more that half way done with my program. They cut what I owed to my creditors in half and literally gave me room to breathe again. I also was set up with a coach and we talk monthly, she has helped me to get back on my feet and plan better so that I dont have this happen again. Grateful that I reached out to them when I did.
