If you are looking for an in depth experience, with knowledgeable professionals who take their job seriously, and enjoy teaching people-this is your place.I came here with my husband and our 2 friends who have never gone shooting. We each had to learn how to properly handle the guns we were about to shoot before entering the range.This was actually quite helpful and informative, even for my husband and I who are very experienced. Most ranges don’t go this far to make sure you know how to properly handle your gun. I even learned a new skill that no one has ever taught be before.We all had a great time! They have some larger guns you can shoot as well as an arsenal of pistols to choose from. Pricing is fair and they also sell ammo and other shooting gear.We will definitely be back!

We went to the range yesterday, two colleagues and myself.It is advised to fill out the waiver online before reporting at the range since this will save you time.The staff was friendly and helpful. I have spoken to a couple of them who were all Marine veterans so experience with firearms is guaranteed.We rented a couple of handguns and an AR-15 platform and we were well guided concerning the use of the weapons.Because I habe experience from the Army they did check us when we entered the range but seeing all regulations were followed and my colleagues were guided properly by me they let us be.We have really enjoyed the experience at this range and I would recommend going here with or without experience.

Ive only been here a few times but each time was a great experience with my family and friends. The staff has always been really nice, helpful, and always made sure we had everything we needed. They prefer you to use their ammo and they will check your personal guns to make sure theyre safe to use. This is a popular shooting range, so make sure you get there a little early to avoid waiting for a lane to open. I didnt have time to visit the ammunition store this time but I will for sure stop by on my next visit.

Me and my father recently went to the LAX Gun range and had a great time. The staff are friendly and help with any questions. The firing lanes are clean and easy to operate. This has to be one of my go-to spots for shooting firearms in a safe environment.

TLDR: Great place! Strong recommendation!This was only my second time visiting a gun range in my life. We were hosted by Jacob. He was courteous over the call in answering our questions on how to get there. When we reached, he was also the one to host us. To help us choose guns that we might most enjoy as novices, Jacob explained to us the differences between the different calibres of rounds pistols can shoot. On his recommendation, we went with a USP-45 and a P10C. While being briefed about gun safety and setup, our group asked him many, many questions. Jacob quickly picked up on our curiosity about how things work, and took the time to explain to us how firing mechanisms work! He even disassembled the P10C to show us the internal mechanisms for the firing pin, the sliding lock that keeps the slide open when the magazine is emptied. You can tell that everyone at this range works out of passion for what they do.

First and foremost i didn’t know they had parking in the back. Which is at their Ammo Store. Google it and it’ll give you the address. Staff is pretty dope and down to earth especially the security guard. This is the second time I’ve been here and the second time was way better than the first! While the wait in line for the range was long (as we went on a busy weekend), our group had a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were some people who have never used firearms in our group and the staff took plenty of time to explain everything about the safe operation of the guns. We were given an hour initially but they gave us some extra time since it was pretty busy when we were changing guns. I will say that this range is on the higher price range but it was probably the best option in the area.There is plenty of parking at the back of the building (store side). Dont bother trying to park in the 3 spots at the Manchester Ave side.

Was told by the ammo shop the range had ammo when i tried to buy ammo. Waited in line for the range only to be told i had to buy ammo at the store. Went to the store and needed my ID. The range said taking my ID lost my spot in line. 40 minutes of getting told to go to the wrong places by the employees. At least the ammo was cheap

Fantastic experience here - guys on the front desk were very knowledgable, patient and relaxed with everything we did or asked. Recommended different guns to try and targets! Range itself is clean although some of the lanes don’t work for further placed targets. Popular with the locals too!

Poor customer service, one of the staff has a massive attitude problem and are not interested in teaching first timer. This one guy that works there act like he is forced to show us how to use the gun and explaining the rules. Other than that the place is decent but they dont have much gun variety.

This was my family and Is first time at a firing range, but all the workers were polite and made sure we were all comfortable with handling the guns we used and were knowledgable on gun safety before we even started our alotted time. It was also very affordable, with three people we spent about $115 in total. Especially, an employee named Jacob was very patient and attentive to us first timers. If you also have no experience with guns and want to find a place to get your first experience, then this is very much the place to go!

Incredibly fun! From Australia makes this experience even more unique.Could be a bit cheaper but the hot guy giving the turorial made the extra $$ worthwhile.If I was bolder I’d have asked for his number when getting a list of food recommendations.Albeit, the guns are well maintained, the area is clean, people are friendly and willing to ask all of the mundane questions we may have had.

Staff were super friendly, and explained all the do’s and fonts so patiently, you can really tell that safety comes first here. Wide selection of guns, and they give you the protective gear. This is the most American thing you can do, highly recommend it, and I took home my target sheets.

I was at LAX Firing Range once. This was a while ago. I was standing in line to buy ammo and pay my fee, and I smelled alcohol from the three people standing in front of me. I told the clerk that I smelled alcohol from the three people that were in front of me, but the clerk didnt care. The clerk just let those three individuals shoot regardless of their alcoholic breath. I have no respect for LAX Firing Range for running an unprofessional and so careless operation.

Staff is professional so make sure you follow all the rules.The range is safe, theres usually some newbie shooters there so obviously its a welcoming range.If you are new to shooting make sure you go with someone who is safe or get an instructor to help you.You can rent guns here and buy ammo. Over all had a great time and experience. My brother turn 21, his and I’s first time with a firearm and we got a safety lesson and an how to handle the guns, ect. For a Saturday it was lively but not busy. When we left that’s when it started getting a little crowded. Definitely worth it, will come again. The staff were amazing, super helpful and even one tried translating for someone in my group when they saw me doing it. When one of our guns got jammed or we thought it did, a staff member came to help, despite the lobby getting a little crowded.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Theres only an option to walk-in, so you cannot make a reservation. But nevertheless, we didnt have to wait that long to get a lane on the range. We felt very safe and comfortable here. Prices are also very reasonable!

5 star rating for the representative for the shooting range by the name of RAUL amazing customer service, very personable and knowledgeable I will now be coming back because of him! Gave me and my group of friends a crash course for the firearms and was extremely patient and kind. Pricing was reasonable. We really enjoyed this as it was one of our friends first time shooting and he thoroughly explained and gave us demos on how to properly LOAD and USE the firearm. Cudos to the manager for hiring him!

Deducting 3 stars because of range ammo prices. I paid ~$50 for 100 rounds of 9mm which is ~$0.50 per round for 9mm. That’s about double the market price afaik. That’s a lot more than I’ve ever known. I haven’t bought ammo from range in a few years but I don’t remember being but reamed like that before.If you want to make more money charge more for the range time, don’t price gouge the ammo.

We went with a group of 4 on a Sunday morning. We called beforehand to check if it was possible. They don’t take reservations, but we were told that if we would be there at 10 (opens 10.30) it would be fine and otherwise we possibly had to wait for a while.As told we went there at 10, just before there became a line outside. At 10.30 we could walk in where we were greeted by 3 man who were very friendly. They helped us find the right gun to shoot with and we got an explanation and exercise to learn how to control and use the gun with the necessary safety rules. After that we could start shooting. We had a small problem but we were quickly helped by a friendly employee. We got to shoot for an hour and that was enough. We had an amazing time and if you want to go to a shooting range I would recommend this one!

Overall had a good time yet the customer service should be improved!!I took my own firearm and at arrival I requested 3 boxes of ammo for 38 super. Trusting that they know what theyre doing I headed to my lane when I opened box I noticed rounds were different yet I loaded them to mag without seeing box. When loading onto chamber the round wouldnt load. They gave me the wrong ammo, so I headed to desk and told them the problem, the guy gave me additude and started screaming that I was loading the wrong ammo so I said hey I ordered 38 super and you guys gave me 38 special.So he went and changed the ammo. And guess what out of the 2 boxes he brought only 1 was the right ammo. He again brought me the wrong ammo so I had to take it it back so he can give me the right ammo.

I would give the store a 5 star rating because the staff there is the friendly but the guy with the green shirt in the back of the fire range he had a massive attitude with my husband and the rest of the people that went with us. He seemed kind of COCKY because of where he works, he seemed to have an attitude and he tried to intimidated us. I would say work on your employees, they need better attitudes especially with people who are here for the first time. And 2nd of all they gave us the wrong Amo for the guns and they still have us attitude thinking we had ordered the wrong one but that wasnt the case.

Ive been here twice, and everyone was pleasant with me both times. Im not sure if classes are offered here but I think some of these one star reviews are from people who didnt quite understand that renting a lane at a range does not include the price of an instructor. If for any reason the staff here feels that to rent a group a gun would be unsafe, its their job to deny you entry. Bringing first time shooting minors, and renting a gun? I would be nervous handing a gun to someone who apparently dosnt own one, for them to hand to their children. Just my two cents after going myself and then reading these reviews.

A lot of polarizing reviews for this range, and my guess is that most of the negative reviews are from newbies, large groups or young shooters.....the ones that give any range safety officer some fear when they walk in the door.If you listen, pay attention, and follow directions closely, you should have a great time here.Weekends are busy here. Expect a wait on weekends. Use Google to see if it is busy here to avoid lines and come when there is less people.Their ammo kinda expensive vs. what you can buy at the store, and if youre renting you have to buy their ammo, however their prices are comparable to other ranges, and this is how they make money to pay the rent, so one cant really hold that against them.The staff has always been friendly and respectful in my experience.

A great place to practice your firing skills, friendly staff and a clean facility. Get there early, there could be a long wait depending on what time you arrive. They dont have a hugh selection of firearms, so bring your own. They also have an ammo facility on site with other tactical merchandise to offer. Great place.

Went there with 2 friends about a year ago. One brought a 32-caliber pistol. We all took turns using it and might have rented another. Being a Vietnam vet helped as the service was outstanding. We all went away thinking we would return soon. However things got in the way and we are now planning on returning this Friday morning with a new Glock and some ammo I bought at the firing store on the AF base in El Segundo.

They all of a sudden started charging for bringing your own ammo. This is a real deal breaker for me because their ammo is really over priced.Update: I havent been here in 6 months for the above mentioned reason and I went a week ago to zero my pistol that has a new red dot on it now and noticed some people coming in with their own ammo for long guns. Just to be sure I asked one of the guy if thats his ammo he brought and if they allowed him to shoot it at no extra charge to which he answered yes with a confused look on his face. So not only do they have a ridiculous must buy their grossly over priced ammo rule, but they seem to selectively enforce it.

Your experience might be different when they are busy and when they are not busy. I went on a Monday when they were not too busy. The staff helped me zero my Holosun red dot sight and showed me the best way to grip my Glock 19 so as not to injure my left thumb with the recoil of the slide. They also pointed out that some of my ammunition was bad, causing jamming issues. After their help I was able to hit my target perfectly at 25 yards. I shot about 30 rounds for $11. I think these guys are pretty good. Remember to have your gun unloaded and preferably locked when you come in. Unlock and load it in the range lane. Also sign the waver online prior to coming to avoid delays.

I like going here. The staff are friendly and fun, the price is right, and there’s no BS. Fill out the waiver beforehand, it’ll save you time when you get there.It’s busy; always. Expect to wait a few minutes depending when you get there. I found the price of ammo to be fair and the range fee to be fair also. Other than that...it’s a firing range, not the Ritz.I like the vibe here. I had to wait my first time there, but it wasn’t bad. There are tables to sit at and a lot of merchandise to shop to keep you occupied until your turn comes up. Everyone I’ve encountered there has been friendly, staff and patrons alike. The only somewhat negative thing I can say is the range can get smokey at times, but it’s short lived. Now, shut up and shoot.

Worst range i’ve ever walked through the doors of. no parking other than a long walk. 2-3x the price of any other local range(PER hour). The customer service workers at the front did not even acknowledge my presence when i stood at the window waiting to be helped. I would recommend looking up ANY other range in the area and spending your money there. Only reason i visited here was for the late hours, in which i ended up leaving as customer service was so poor.

Totally awesome experience. We turned up as two total beginners. Staff could not have been more helpful; really keen to help, friendly but very professional. Told us everything we needed to know. We didnt book;or need to. You pay rental for range, and one single firearm rental, then can try from a wide range - 20 + firearms. We tried 3 semi-auto 9mm,then two 45s (Magnum revolver and Desert Eagle), then Assault Rifle! Just pay extra for rounds. Total price for two for an hour + guns + over 100 rounds + 10 target sheets+ ear/eye protectors :under $100. Outstanding, thanks LAX

Their basic annual membership is $400, roughly twice the cost of other local range memberships. This range is on the Westside, so its for the mid-upperclass, and for people who dont know any better and accept the prices as an exciting novelty occassion that gets their adrenalin pumping, possibly just having arrived at LAX from another country and getting a taste of US freedom.

My wife and I came here today as we had a few hours to kill before our flight this evening. As its a Saturday we had to wait around an hour to get on the range. Checking in and verification checks were pretty smooth, the paperwork took under 10 minutes to complete. As Europeans, we used our passports as verification as we dont have any local identification, which wasnt an issue. We got called forward to be given a lane and was asked which weapons we would like. The staff have the weapons on show and are readily available and they offer recommendations if you are unsure which to use. You can only take one weapon at a time to the range. They have a variety of handguns, shotguns, and rifles available to use. Their range is 25m and you can only use the weapons in single shot. The staff always introduce you to the weapons and show you how to safely use them before offering the weapon to you and give you plenty of opportunities to ask questions and see how the weapons work. We had an incredible time shooting an AR15 rifle, magnum revolver and a 9mm pistol. Pricing was very respectable (We spent $120) and was on the lane for nearly two hours before we needed to leave for our flight. The staff were friendly and unless you had an issue they pretty much left you to it. The staff were accomodationg towards storing our luggage and ensured we had enough paperwork (in case we were stopped by airport security for having traces of gun powder) I would recommend this place if you havent used a firearm before (as was the case of my wife) as they ensured you were happy you could use the weapon safely. Would recommend visiting during the week unless you dont mind a 1 hour wait for a lane.

Website states minors are welcomed as long as they are accompanied by an adult, waited in line for over two hours with my daughter. Even did the waiver to be ready just to be told, when we walk up next that she is to young and wouldn’t be allowed to shoot. Staff was observing everyone in line they could have saved us over a two hour of wait. If they would bothered to at least inform us about not being able to go in. First time here and already a bad experience.

Horrible customer service!!!! We were visiting CA for my son’s 16th birthday and decided to check this place out. I called prior to visiting and inquired about bringing my 3 minor children. I was advised that they needed to be accommodated by a parent or guardian and age 12 and over. All of this applies to me and my children.Upon arrival Raul was very rude!!! I was advised to fill out waiver and then after waiting was denied entry because he “felt uncomfortable” letting us. I followed up to speak with Vanessa, who I was advised was the manager about the service I received but was only given an email.Would never visit this establishment and will never recommend!!!

This is an updated review from 9/14/16. The first couple times that I came here, it was a bad experience. It was unorganized and the employees were rude. Yesterday I took a two hour beginning firearms training lesson with Dane and it was worth every cent. In that time we looked at a selection of handguns and went over safety dos and donts, some gun history, proper firing techniques, how to operate each weapon... basically everything one would need to know to go from never having fired before to shooting with confidence. Dane was very open to my questions and wasnt afraid to go into detail on a subject if I wanted to know more. Our time on the range was spent trying that same array of handguns to see what I liked best. My experience at LAX was thoroughly satisfying and well spent. This course is perfect for someone whos never come into contact with guns and doesnt know where to start. Thanks LAX! I cant overstate how happy I am that I went.

This fire range is awesome. Its very easy to use and get a turn even without reservations. They range is narrow and designed safely, they sell some good products and personal items like glasses and self defence and safety. The targets have automated buttons to move it closer and further till the end of the range. I think its simple and practical.

Went to LAX for the first time today. Waited 10 min in line to rent a lane only to be told the range is down the hall, through the double doors. Some signage would have been nice so I didn’t have to waste my time. Tried to rent two lanes, but the wait was 2-1/2 hours! F that, I’m out! This place is horrible, mainly because the employees are terrible at their job and the website does not explain their rules. I went in to try a gun that I am thinking of buying. I called them in advance. Inquired as to whether they had the gun. Was told that the gun was available for testing. I know California firearm laws and I had checked out their website, so I thought I was good to go. Instead I got there 20 minutes after I called them. I stated which gun I wanted to try out, and he asked if I was firing alone. Which I was because I went there for the purpose of trying out this one gun. He refused to allow me entry unless 1) I had someone with me, or 2) brought my own gun. Note, I am over the age of 18, I have owned and bought guns for most of my life, and have never been convicted of a crime. So, needless to say I was a little surprised by this rule.Here are my thoughts:First of all, if this is a rule put it on the website. This is not a state law. This is not a federal law. So let people know without wasting their time. Second, if I was inquiring when I called, they should have told me on the phone. Again, dont waste someones time.I noticed that one of the reviewers raved at how they follow the rules. And I agree that when it comes to firearms, you dont want people screwing around. But if there is a requirement like this, put it on the website.

I just went for my first time shooting a gun/my gun and it was awesome, even tho it was a long wait bcuz of COVID-19, it was still a pleasant and easy experience. It helped that u fill out your waivers online ahead of time. Ammo was reasonably priced and the place itself was orderly and clean. I spent about 160 bcuz i forgot my own equipmwnt and bought 250.rounds but it was worth it! Had a great time and i would recommend. Friendly and helpful staff. I have the membership, so wait times are bypassed. Any issue is fixed with a quick comment. Do not hesitate to ask questions! Just be aware:1. They do not rent guns to single people (insurance reasons) unless you are a member.2. Ammo is cheaper in the store. Ask if ammo is range approved (birdshot is forbidden and brass Full metal jacket required, so forget cheap Russian ammo).3. The instruction is brief for first time shooters and not intended to replace a class.4. The Groupon is almost always running (better deal for first time shooters).5. Either Gave us false or confusing information during the briefing . The man told us we could sign a waiver for a minor as long as i was 21 yrs of age or older. So after waiting with my little brother on his birthday for about an hour . We get inside and they said we weren’t allowed to shoot. Range was packed (evening.. 6pm). With our groupon; it came with one rental and 50 rounds of 9mm. If youre looking for a wide variety of weapons i dont think this is the place. They barely have any rifle options and its mostly pistols. They do require you to buy their ammo which sucks. I think i would be back but 4 stars because of wait time and weapon selection.

The second you walk in you hear from the staff let me have your I.D you dont get a hey, welcome you dont even get a hey literally the first thing is your I.D, after you give them your I.D you get a did you sign our waiver online and you get well it saves a lot of time then they give you one to sign. Secondly, (which I find very rude in a way) is when you give them your I.D they dont even give it back until your pretty much walking out the door after you paid. Third, is their gun options, no more than 30 choices I would say. Totally not even worth it, If Youre looking for a good range, go to the one in Downtown I believe its LAGC. I highly recommend this shooting range. The prices are much better than Las Vegas. You can rent a large variety of handguns and they also rent shotguns and ARs.Prices were : range fee= 16 $ per hour per person; firearm rental fee= 15$ (and you can change several guns in this same price); 75cents for a paper target; bag of 100 9mm rounds around 50$.They also have a large parking area behind their ammo store.

I wanted to complete the beginners two hour course, had a look on the website which required card details without providing a booking slot or confirmation of booking, that seemed a little weird to me so I decided to call instead. I spoke to one of the staff on Sunday, asking if there were available slots on Tuesday, he took my contact number and explained that he would call me on Tuesday to confirm a slot. Given that I had a UK contact number, I decided it may be better to give them a call. On Tuesday morning a few minutes after opening time, I called and spoke to the same member of staff who instantly recognised my voice. He explained he had noted my number and name and as promised will contact me sometime during the day. That was at 11am. I waited throughout the day in anticipation of the call. It never came. Good Range for Shooting, Not So Great for Instruction: Good clean range, fair prices, and knowledgeable staff—with one exception… When taking initial instruction, a short class to learn the basics of shooting, the instructor didnt mention eye dominance, and my need to figure out which eye was my dominant eye, before starting target practice.I closed my right eye, kept my left eye open, and couldnt hit anything—no matter how much time or money I wasted on practice. Maybe that was the point? Im not sure, but I dont think so. However, its a very important part of training that was left out, so Id train someplace else if you really want to train properly.Years later I read an article about eye dominance, in regards to something entirely different, and tried shooting again—someplace else, of course. My shooting improved 1000%!

Gun range is decent, but they rent guns to people who don’t know gun safety. Two guys brought back in a rifle with a round still in the chamber. I believe they banned them, but still unnerving.

A PLACE WHERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A FOREIGN WORDI had to step out for a sec and grab something out of my car, when I return to get buzzed in, the guy in the front says are you in our out? I said in, and he buzzed me in. I thought that was a bit rude, but I let it go. When my friend and I then went to the line, he let two other people cut us in line, which I was shocked, but I didnt say anything. Then when it was our turn, he then told us that we had to sign an online waiver. I asked him why cant we fill out a paper one, and he said thats our policy. you use your smartphone or you have to leave. Um....ok.......so we turn on our smartphones, and we go to the website then he says MOVE OVER THERE!He then took on the people after us. We went aside, and both of us could not click the button to proceed on the waiver. So then, we asked for our IDS back, and Got the hell OUT OF THERE.I have never in my life been treated like this before. My friend and I will never return here again. Go to any other range but this one, please.

Quite OK. Walked in from the street and was quickly and politely given a notepad to register on. Spend an hour with a friend, a rented 9mm and 100 rounds. Total of $80, which I find reasonable. Thanks!

I called on the phone and straight out the bat I felt disrespected. Someone needs to teach that person to have customer services skills. Either hes having a bad day, or he needs to go home. Just very bland like youre taking up his time. Ill look somewhere else.
