Library was nice with ample seating, but I don’t like being buzzed in for the bathroom. I like privacy. I also don’t like feeling rushed by the Hispanic librarian close to closing. I was already leaving at 7:43pm on Wednesday 4/17/24 and she felt the need to ask if I was going home. She has hovered over me before at closing on a previous visit and it’s uncalled for when someone is already packing up. It felt intrusive and I felt racially profiled and I think her behavior is unacceptable. I hate feeling singled out. There were other patrons still there. I think it’s crazy how no one greets you when you come in, but they are full of life when they are being rude trying to kick you out when you are already leaving at a reasonable time.

The place is big and with computers that you can use without pay a fee, also books and DVD that you can borrow if you have a library card ( is free to get one) very clean and quiet.

Nice, quiet, and clean library. Not many people were in there on the day I visited so there were plenty of empty tables.

I love this Library. The people are nice and they have a lovely metting room for rentals.

City of lawndale Christmas tree lightning ceremony . Nice size tree and decoration, never snowed In lawndale, but today kids enjoyed sliding on real snow, and skated on real ice . There were fresh pop corn and funnel cake stands, free face painting and chucho train rides . A Mexican folkloric dance was performed by young ladies in traditional Mexican customes . The feeling was festive and joyful.

Highly disappointed in the so called manager, Michelle, that decided to kick two other ladies and myself out of the Only study room available, due to the librarys website not allowing access, to reserve the room as she requested of me, even after I attempted to explain the situation to her more than once.No One was in need of the study room besides us, but she preferred to interrupt our meeting, kick us out, and leave the Only vacant study room unoccupied, versus allowing us to finish up our meeting, less than an hour before they closed! Absolutely Unnecessary and Unkind of management. Leaving me with zero desire to ever return to my local library!

We love our library. Customer service is always exceptional, activities are always fun and available so be sure to register & attend! My family also just loves spending time here and we love being so close. Lawndale library for the win!

It is very nice childrens play area but i qish they have more kids activities like other county library

Very clean facility, with a good sized toddler play area. Young kids have tables for homework and reading, also access to computers. Librarians are helpful and friendly. Very happy to have a library like this in our community.

Great atmosphere and VERY helpful staff! Its so nice to have a separate area for the little ones to enjoy their books. Plenty of seating spread out so you can have group study or read in privacy.
