We retained Stephanie for my husbands criminal case and we are very grateful for the outcome. Although, it took a year Stephanie was able to lower the Felony to a Misdemeanor with no jail time! This case had her going back and forth, she did not want to settle for less! She gave it her all and helped my husband get a minimal sentence that wouldn’t affect his immigration case. District Attorney Stephanie Rickard handled my case at its best.I was entrapped at the G Bar while waiting for one of the owner Carlos for my signed off NFL Super Bowl scorecard.I went to the bathroom 2 times, left my IPA beer at the bar on 2 instances on a 2-hr window, and somehow, someone told me that a jealous guy spiked my beers with Absinthe.When i went to my Mercedes S550 driver seat at the parking lot, as soon as the reverse light was on, 2 police cars block my reverse.I asked what is the situation officers?I was then told that someone called 911 that I am not in the proper condition to drive my vehicle.Anyhow, to cut the story short, Attorney Stephanie advised me to take the plea vs fight the whole thing at the court, in which I may win or lose the case. She stated that a DUI is a DUI, no matter what the circumstances were.I took the plea, completed my community service, paid the fine, signed up with the classes via Zoom, and am able to drive my vehicle again (with an Interlock device installed), and got my life back to normal.Lesson learned for me -1. I wont drink and drive anymore2. I wont go to any bar by myself anymore3. I would limit my drink to 2 glasses of wine (with my wife)4. I would go to Church every Sunday morning to listen to sermon5. I would focus on my Product Engineering work at an Intel acquired firm so we can be successful to go IPO in 2-3 years6. I dropped by their office unannounced (desperate, didnt want to wait any longer for a lawyer to call me). I was greeted by her paralegal / admin? This review is really for her actually.She was so inviting, didnt stop me because I didnt have an appointment. She walked me to this very beautiful, comfortable room with so many books, gorgeous home-like feeling. Sense of safety and belonging.She listened to everything I had to say, sympathized and without false agreement, gave her honest opinion, saw our side (the stalker was totally out of line) shared some history with a similar issue which made me feel more comfortable speaking with someone who had gone through a similar situation.Unfortunately, Stephanie does not handle Restraining Orders BUT, she referred us to Adrienne Dell (please see her reviews) who saved us. I am recommending Stephanie to anyone who is seeking for a criminal defense lawyer. I myself am a lawyer, I am using a pen name here, but everything stated here is true, so you can count on my words. I am very happy about the result that she negotiated for me and the charge has been lowered to a very low level misdemeanor which even the alleged victims attorney was impressed. I heard the alleged victims attorney saying wow! at the court when I was present. Furthermore, my lawyer friend has a partner who is also a criminal defense lawyer commented on my result: You are so lucky to have a good defense lawyer to get the charge lowered so much for you, otherwise you would at least be charged with an Assault. I recommend Stephanie because she is not only intelligent and experienced in what she is doing, she is also emotionally intelligent. My experience with Stephanie Rickard was a great one and I will recommend her because she is very professional, knowledgeable, caring and competent lawyer. It was easy to talk to her and she would respond to my text in a timely manner. Im so thankful for the outcome in my case. Six months after my court outcome, she processed my record expungement and granted me a clean background check record. This was my first encounter with the law and first lawyer that I hired, was an awful lawyer. Every time I called or text him, it would take a day, two or three days before he gets back to me. I met Stephanie during the most stressful and traumatic event of my life. I was facing prison time and charges which would have ruined my professional career and taken me away from my son. In the beginning I was understandably very anxious and wanting to be proactive but Stephanie reassured me that she had this under control and that my focus should be working on myself and my mental health recovery. She provided no BS and told me straight up what I was looking at. And let me tell you, it wasn’t looking good. Being in the situation with back to back dui’s, the likely outcome was that i was going to spend some months in jail. But luckily i searched and found her which was a blessing. Being a student, she understood me and agreed to charge lower than others for my case. The outcome was even surprising. No jail time. She even helped me to wave some fees which saved me alot.
