Delicious experience!My expectations were very well managed when we arrived at this place and I was positively surprised. For a place that far away from Portugal, they absolutely nailed it.I have tried Portuguese cuisine before and when done well, it’s absolutely delicious. This place has an amazing team and management behind it and we (a party of 4) got an amazing meal.Every single dish you see on this review was spot on, well cooked, immaculate presentation and delicious taste (I tried them all from my friends🤪) all delivered with the maximum care and customer service attention. Not that common that I go all the way to Sonoma, but I will make sure that if there next time, I will definitely try this place for dinner. Well done guys!

Did a Dinner of Appetizers. Couldn’t decide on just one or two. Everything was Delicious!! The softest octopus I have ever had … scallops melted in your mouth …sardines nicely charred and flavorful…croquettes soft on inside and crunchy on out …-and heirloom tomato salad was Devine with hummus and olives with balsamic and olive oil. Everything was delicious and service was great !! A must when in Sonoma !!

The caldeirada dish was delicious ! I was so happy in trying the food from chef Manuel Azevedo ! For sure I’m coming back and as a Brazilian I could taste and see the roots of our culture in some ways over there too :)

Being Brazilian of Portuguese descent and a good cook, my expectations were managed. I didnt check reviews or saw photos but took a look at their menu outside and had to try their Portuguese dishes. The cod fritters bolinhos de bacalhau were authentic and delicious. Its hard to make them and find descent salted cod. The wine flights, white port wine, desserts and the whole dining experience were fantastic. These days most restaurants are very expensive with mediocre or just ok food. La Salette made me believe in great food again. The flavors kept building up and surprised us. Were coming back soon.

Elegant and classy experience!!! We came here to celebrate our anniversary on a Friday night. The staff greeted us kindly and seated us, and brought a complimentary glass of bubbly. Each dish we ordered was top notch... Oysters, scallops, octopus, Branzino, and Caldeirada. The service was so thoughtful. We could not have asked for a better anniversary dinner.

The food here is spectacular! I was surprised I had not heard of this place, and the attention to detail in the spices and presentation was perfection. The scallops were the best scallops I have had, and I’m very hard to please. The Portuguese stew in this photo was finger licking good. My mom would always tell me you can tell if a restaurant is going to be special, if their homemade bread and soup is good, and their home made bread was! Thank you to the chef who designed this menu, as my dad and I are still licking our chops!

It was my first time and I was absolutely delighted by the entire meal and overall experience! Starting with the freshly baked bread, amazing Bolinho de Bacalhau, Caldo Verde, Bacalhau as the main entre, a delicious dessert with chocolate mousse, hazelnut ice cream, coffee and a coconut, pineapple and cashew brigadeiro, seriously? everything was amazing and the service professional and perfect! i can’t wait to go back!

We all loved LaSalette, it was slightly different from some of the Portuguese food we are used to eating in South Africa but excellent! They have a wonderful menu of starters, mains, desserts and Portuguese wines and ports as well as local wines.We had a vino verde, alvarino, Cod Cakes, the Caldo Verde soup, seasonal veggies and Pork & Clams, and topped off a delicious meal with the fruit dessert which had pears poached in port and passion fruit mousse mmmm so delicious.Everything was homemade, the service was top notch (better than the awful service at our so called 5 star hotel), we got lots of little free tasties from the chef, and the setting was so cozy and warm, you can even sit outside on the patio and enjoy their beautiful fairy lit trees.

I took my father and family for a birthday luncheon on February 21st because of our fond memories of the food and ambience. The quality of food has definitely decreased. The sardines, cod cakes we’re still excellent but the Feijoada stew and the chicken in paella were tough. The server got my brother’s dish wrong so she gave him a compliment house salad while my brother waited. Overall it was good but I was a bit disappointed in this year’s experience.

This was by far the best restaurant we ate at in Sonoma. Fabulous food, selection of wines and great service. We came with two kids and the restaurant was accommodative, offered a twist on existing meals with a twist for child friendly expectation. The fish was superb. Highly recommend it!

We had no idea where to go but found this place thanks to all the good reviews. Wow, it was delicious! Best dishes were the whole roasted branzino (a special), the scallops which were cooked perfectly and the Portuguese Mac and cheese.

We went here today with some family from SF. This place is really good. They periodically brought out items that the chef made at no additional charge. For appetizers we had baked oysters, octopus, and the braised pork belly. All delicious. For mains, we had the sea bass, fishermans stew, frijoda completa, and the Portuguese pot roast. All delicious. For dessert, we had mango sorbet, hazelnut ice cream, rice pudding, and flan. Also very good. Dont forget the delicious bread. They have a wood fired oven. Service was impeccable and the wine we had was good too. Highly recommended.

Overall great experience and food.I would say this is a place worth to try to see why it is highly reviewed, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.Portion is decent. Fantastic! I read Chef Manuel opened this place with his mom over 20 years ago and I can see why this place has flourished. Everything we ordered from the pan seared scallops and pork belly starters to the pork shoulder and clams entree were all cooked to perfection and the flavors......amazing. Our desert The Tradional included a variety of Portuguese samples from rice pudding to an almond ice cream sandwich. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic and the staff is so friendly and attentive. Dont pass this place up!

Their pulled pork sandwich is reason enough for me to go way out of my way to eat at LaSalette a second time; it consisted of huge helpings of delicious pulled pork served in a very tasty bun. Their grilled sardines appetizer was also terrific. Our waitress and male server were kind, attentive and helpful. Wow, so many reasons for me to be excited about our experience at LaSalette today! Cant wait to eat there again.

The chef makes delicious dishes like the Porco A Alentejana tender stewed pork belly and clams in a savory garlic red sauce-nicely done. This dish paired well with the silky taste of the Benziger cabernet. Warm homemade dinner rolls. The scallops had a perfect sear on them that reminded me of a parmesan crust and served over a nest of sweet potato puree - perfectly done, topped with a delicate, warm shredded leek salad. I paired this dish with the Seghesio Chardonnay. They make their own special hot sauce that is outstanding. However, there are a few things that need a little thought. The oysters are served with a lemon half and hot sauce on a bed of rock salt. The salty brine in the oysters plus the salt bed was a sodium overdose. The sodium debars the sweet and bitter qualities you find in a mignonette that creates a blast of flavor in your mouth. I can tell you that the Seghesio Chardonnay offset the sodium a little. The service is amazing. As for the ambiance, as many fine dining restaurants do, expect an extremely small table for two. It felt like we were having dinner with the couple and their 7 month old baby sitting next to us. I wish restaurant owners would strategize a way to keep the same amount of tables, but give the customers more room on the tables and create a little more privacy.

A hidden gem tucked away, down an alley, past one of the many art galleries around Sonoma Plaza.Definitely would recommend asking about any daily specials. This time, they had stuffed whole sea bass, bones and all, along with oysters from Hawaii.While the only carbs for the fish were fingerling potatoes, they were wonderful as they sat under the fish, soaking the flavors, but still retaining form as they were skin on.The sea bass had traditional Mediterranean flavors that youd expect from Portugal, strong salty presence, but spiced gently. Cooked beautifully and well worth returning back into the kitchen as a skeleton.Would recommend the traditional dessert option as it had variety in a multitude of factors. Cold and creamy treats, cakes rolls soaked in syrup, preserved fruit, rice pudding. Ironic that its so easily shareable, but my greedy appetite would never allow for that.

Outstanding food, presentation and ambiance for a taste of Portugal. The menu was varied including wide selection of seafood. My wife had scallops that she described as Melting in my mouth. Unfortunately very disappointing. Was excited for a delicious Portuguese dinner and sadly it fell very short. I understand it’s Sonoma/Napa valley but prices were very high for the portion size. Spent over $150 on four ‘starters’. Most of their menu seemed very confusing and not thought out. Ingredients that clash and do not seem Portuguese at all.The braised pork belly with an apple gastrique and frisée salad, was trying very hard to be French and so not what you’d expect from a Portuguese restaurant. The salt cod cakes were under seasoned and lukewarm. The scallops that were unfortunately ‘coated’ in chorizo were cooked perfectly, but sadly you could not taste the sweet essence of scallop because it was overpowered by salty chorizo.I will say the octopus was delicious and the staff was nice. However, most likely will not be making another visit.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. The food is BEYOND good. The seafood was fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly balance flavors. The grill octopus was one the best I hav ever had. The sardine was HUGE, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Seafood is always a bit tricky and can sometimes come out too undercooked or overcooked (and rubbery) - not here. Every dish that came out was perfectly cooked. Perfect temperature and delicately season so that you TASTE the freshness of the seafood and not masked by strong seasoning. HUGE COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF. THIS is seafood done correctly. The service was very attentive and friendly. Beautiful restaurant. I’d come back here again and bring friends here for a special celebration.

La Salette in Sonoma, California is a fantastic restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. The oysters in particular were exceptional - fresh, plump, and delicious. In addition to the oysters, the other small plates were also quite good, showcasing a range of flavors and textures that complemented each other nicely.One of the things that stood out to me about La Salette was the attentive wait staff. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and always seemed to be on top of things, making sure that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Sitting at the bar was also a great experience, as we were able to enjoy the warmth of the wood fire oven and watch the action in the kitchen.Overall, I had a great time at La Salette and would definitely go back again. This place does not disappoint on flavours. Food from the wood oven is fantastic. We had the wood oven grilled whole branzino ~ crispy skin yet moist flesh. Itfinished off with a parsley saffron vinaigrette which takes the dish to a whole new level. The fisherman stew was just as flavourful. The addition of Portuguese linguica adds so much flavour to the broth. Too bad it wasnt served with any crusty bread to sop up the seafood goodness. If they had not run out of the sardines appetizer, this meal would have been perfect.

Everything was fabulous.We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir Joseph Jewell which went great with our tapas.We started with the braised Pork Belly made with smoked apple gastrique frisee, and madeira glaze.We then shared the Wood oven pan roasted mussels made with tomato-lobster broth, chourico, cilantro, served with toasted garlic bread.Our third shared tapas were the Day Boat scallops - Chourico crusted, wood oven seared, Japanese sweet potato puree, leek confit, molho cru.For dessert, we had the most incredible port tastings, starting with the Justinos 10 year special. Then the Broadbent 10 year Verdelho, and ended with the Blandys 15 year Malmsey.I was in Food and Wine Heaven!

I visited LaSalette for dinner with a friend. The service was good. The bread was my absolute favorite out of the three courses. The reason for four starts was that my main entree was incredibly over-salted. In addition, the chocolate dessert, while pretty, was not particularly impressive as far as taste goes.

We were here for our anniversary on the first night of inside dining during COVID reopening. We thought we would be sitting outside, but when the wind picked up on this late spring evening, we felt lucky to be inside.We were greeted with a glass of complimentary sparkling wine and spherical fried potato appetizer.We ordered a white port cocktail, which was refreshing. We will make these at home.Next was a baked octopus over fingerling potato app and an heirloom tomato appetizer with cucumber and microgreens over chickpea puree. My wife had the fish special, a generous portion of perfectly cooked seabass served over a bed of mustard greens and grilled corn. I had the short ribs and a side of grilled polenta, both delicious! Another culinary surprise in the heart of Sonoma City. We had a magnificent lunch in LaSalette, sat in the external balcony under the sun and got a super welcoming service.Wood over Roasted Octopus ($16) as a starter was an excellent way to start this lunch, with a sweet onion purée, fried potatoes and red wine vinegar and a bit of bread on he side to get rid of all the amazing sauce left in the plate...For main dishes we ordered Backalhau no forno ($25) which was absolutely amazing and a well-designed version of the original Brazilian dish; and Feijoada Completa ($26) which got the Thumbs Up of my Brazilian partner - great taste, tender meat, feels like an original feijoada but looks like a 5 stars restaurant dish.Two glasses of the houses Vinho Verde wine ($5.75) and a lovely treat from the chef - two chocolate Brigadeiros - left us with a $89.34 bill. Not cheap, but definitely a great Value For Money place.Well done, well come back for sure the next time were around!

The most sophisticated restaurant in Sonoma. The chef puts his effort in every plate. The restaurant offers in the beginning an exquisite home made bread with a very original drinks made with beets and carrots, a sour drink offered while you pick up something from the menu. They have a great variety of meat, cheeses, fish. Every plate is beautiful to watch and very tasty. They offer expreso, real expreso that not so many restaurants in the area offer it. The environment is peaceful, and carefully picked every single piece of decoration.

My dish, upon recommendation by prior experienced chef, was Feijoada Completa, a Brazilian National dish. It was my Birthday and the staff brought out a fantastic Mango Sorbet. La Salette was an exceptional experience from checking in with podium staff, wait staff, bussers and managerial staff. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Today I had lunch with my sister. The outdoor ambience was lovely, the food was terrific and the service was friendly and competent. All those nice feelings went away as we went to pay. The bill was presented and I was surprised by the wine charge. What I thought was the price for a glass was the price for a half glass. I was charged for a full glass. Fair enough but we nicely pointed out the menu was misleading and suggested in the future, the patrons should be asked which size they wished to order. Thats when the young lady went down the wrong path telling us it was our responsibility to state what size was wanted. She continued to say this was standard procedure at all restaurants. She didnt care if we wouldnt come back. She didnt care if we left a bad review and pointedly said so. This young lady does not belong in this job. We were SO excited to try this spot when visiting Sonoma after reading all the reviews. Unfortunately the service was incredibly disappointing. We are laid back and super flexible people - and have worked in the service industry for 9 years. We totally understand when places are busy. However to be a 2 top and ignored by a server for 25 minutes after sitting down (in a super small restaurant!) is really disappointing. A simple “hey! We’re slammed, be right with you” would suffice. After increasing our reservation number from 6 to 13, the restaurant informed our party they could not accommodate such a large group and we would be charged $40 per person for not showing up. I fail to understand why we would be charged when they could not accommodate our party. We decided to show up with our party of four arriving first and the expected two on the way. When we arrived, we were told, today is not the day for this. Go home and dispute the charge. Read that again.Go home and dispute the charge. As a party of four African-American women, we felt discriminated against. We understood they could not accommodate a party of 13, but the required number in our party were there, ready for dinner and told to leave by the hostess who said she was the owner. It must be noted that prior to our arrival, one of the guests in our party (who is a Food & Beverage Executive) had an extensive conversation with the hostess (?) who informed us there was no manager on duty, and would not give us the name of the owner. When we arrived, she (the hostess) posed as the owner/manager, when it was observed a male employee was on the phone with who we think is the owner, based on the conversation overheard. This is completely unacceptable. If you are reading this review, we hope you make the choice to dine elsewhere. There is no room in the hospitality industry for this type of unethical behavior.

As an African American professional business woman, I am applaud at the way my friends and I were treated yesterday at LaSalette Restaurant in Sonoma. One of my colleagues made reservations to accommodate six people for dinner last evening. During the day, that number grew and she attempted to contact the restaurant several times to adjust the number. The restaurant NEVER picked up the phone but she left several messages to see if she could increase her party dinner number. When she finally reached the restaurant, she was told they could not accommodate additional people and if the reservation was cancelled there would be a $40 charge for each person in her original party (6) charged to her credit card used for securing the reservation.We decided to go to the restaurant, have a drink and possibly horse d’oeuvres to help offset the $40 charge. Upon arrival, we were asked if we wanted to see the manager/owner. To our disbelief, a young lady in a brown dress, whose name I did not get, made it clear the restaurant’s policy was to charge for cancellations and there was not any adjustment to that policy. She went on to say “this was not the time to deal with this and we should go home to deal with the dispute process.” She asked us to LEAVE, with a smirky smile on her face.This was a surreal experience. I could not believe 4 professional black women (a physician, the former president of a national voluntary health agency, and two entrepreneurs in the luxury wine world was asked to leave a dining establishment for such a ridiculous reason.I truly hope the owner/manager of LaSalette Restaurant takes a look at their staff and their model of training. I have many friends that frequent Sonoma/Nappa and I would NEVER recommend they visit this restaurant. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

This little cubby hole of a restaurant is just great. The Feijoada Completa and basically any seafood dish on the menu are standouts. The grilled octopus appetizer has just the right amount of char and tenderness. I have little experience with Portuguese food but if its all like this then Im in for more. Ive been here for lunch about 5-6 times and everything is consistently high quality.The wine list gives a nice cross-section of whites and reds. The staff are very helpful with suggestions.Deserts are another area where this place shines. Try the Traditional if you like donut holes, ice cream sandwiches, and figs ... all on the same plate.

Most of the food we had was quite good, however, two people in our party ordered a steak medium rare which came out inedibly over cooked. It was overwhelmingly disappointing at a bill of $50+/person, it was unfortunate to leave and go find another meal elsewhere. The server was quite pleasant, but we feel we should not have been charged for the two meals theat were returned untouched.

Terrible! Dont waste your time. There are far too many fabulous places in the area to dine. The salad was way over salted. Im not sure how they managed this, possibly the dressing. Salt is necessary in food to bring out the flavor however, not in this way! The worst part of our dinner was being served an over cooked, extremely fishy piece of fish. The waiter quickly took it back as soon as we told him. However, not a manager or owner came back to speak about this as we were told. I wanted to make sure the waiter told the chef he was serving bad fish so that several people were not ingesting bad fish only to wake with food poisoning. Noone seemed too concerned. We decided to order a different dish. However, one of the two of us was finished eating by the time the other dinner arrived. No compensation was made and noone ever addressed the bad fish. This is terrible for business! We will not be back and will make sure friends and family know how this was handled. There are far too many great restaurants in Sonoma, no need to wate your appetite or money on bad food.

After being in Portugal this summer, this restaurant brought me back with its incredible food. My mom and I started with the foie gras, then she got Portuguese fishermans stew, and I the special of the night - grilled whole branzino. The fish was cooked & seasoned perfectly with crisp, flaky crust, served atop fingerling potatoes and tomatoes. The flavors of all the dishes were excellent. The staff was friendly and prompt, checking in on us the right amount and quick to accommodate us. We will eat here again next time were in Sonoma!

This family owned restaurant is a hidden gem! Tucked away in a little cozy corner, this place is beautiful spot for a romantic lunch or dinner. UPDATE01.2017 - Came back to Sonoma this year and was so excited to visit this restaurant again. Unfortunately, they changed their menu. They now have all the dishes listed out on their menu and charge either $55 for a 3 course meal or $85 for a 5 course meal. Since today was the first day they were launching the new menu, each course took very long to come out. The bacalhau came out very dry, the cozido was bland, and the São Jorge dessert I would have preferred as an appetizer (two slices of cheese and a small cookie with a sort of jam in the middle). The wild mushroom and the bife had great flavors.The service was great and they even comped one of our 3 course meals to apologize for the wait. We come to Sonoma once a year- hopefully we will see more of their old menu next year.01.2016 - Great ambiance, great food, great service. The buttery escargot was delicious and the arroz de camarão was full of flavor. Portions are small but satisfying (no giant chain restaurant portions that you never finish). Cute restaurant tucked away in Sonoma square. I had a great time trying all sorts of different items on their menu, but I definitely want to come back to try the rest! I loved starting with the little tasting bites where you can choose 3, 5, or 7 items, great for those who are a bit more adventurous with food. The spicy pig ears and the sardine pate were delightful. I also had their version of paella, which included mussels, scallops, clams, chicken, and linguisa. This had great flavors and was super comforting. I liked how their menu differed from most restaurants… a great find indeed!

This hidden-away spot has linen table cloth service and really delicious and creatively presented dishes. Super crew makes you feel at home for either indoor or patio dining. The alley-way to the restaurant is entered along the sidewalk across from the main square in town and the little shops that line that alley are really fun, too.

But with the whole party being impacted by fires and evacuation in Sonoma on the day of the dinner reservation, everyone had to think of family and safety first and finding last minute accommodations. For travelers with small kids, this is not an easy feat.Nobody wants to take time to write a review to “smear” a business, but when it was already bad enough for everyone to go through the inconvenience of being affected by fires and evacuation, you made the experience worse for travelers by expecting a single phone call to cancel before the reservation. Your staff never even made a single courtesy call to confirm if party is showing up. Rather than showing great conflict management and providing alternative solutions so it’s a win-win situation, you took this event as another business transaction. You obviously love the cash transaction more than relating to customers.

While I cannot comment on the quality of the food at this restaurant, I am incredibly disappointed by a lack of organizational professionalism that should be becoming of a top-tier restaurant in the Sonoma/Napa region. We had booked a reservation for my mothers 60th birthday, and called in hours in advance of our reservation to get an understanding of the options available to our party given that a member of our party was feeling ill as we were aware of their strict cancelation policy (which I dont have a problem with). I spoke with two employees at the restaurant, neither of which was able to definitively give us direction as to whether we should come to the restaurant if we wanted to avoid the charge (which we were very prepared to do) vs. cancelling the reservation and the consequences of doing so. After much directionless debate, they suggested that THEY cancel the reservation and the owner (who was apparently the only one who could make any decisions and was unavailable) would be in touch to make an accommodation with respect to the cancelation fee, and in the meantime we wouldnt be charged. 24 hours passed and not only did I not receive any follow-up from the restaurant (until I had, but they proceeded to charge my card in direct contrast to what I was told. I would encourage others visiting Sonoma to consider very carefully before booking with this restaurant, as they have shown to be unbelievably inflexible with respect to the extenuating circumstances of their patrons and furthermore mismanaged to the point where employees do not understand the policies they are answering the phone to address.

I have mixed feelings about my experience at LaSalette. On one hand, the food was REALLY really good. But the circumstances of our dinner and the service just made it an awkward experience.We had a 7pm reservation but was in the area early so wanted to know if we can get seated early. The hostess was nice about it but couldnt accommodate us. When 7pm came around, she came to tell us that they couldnt seat us because the people before us were still on their entrees. She apologized profusely because they arrived late for their reservation but she sat them anyway. She offered to give us a table outside, turn the heat lamp on (it was windy and about to rain), and move us in as soon as possible. After about 40 minutes, it started raining too much to be sitting outside, so we went to wait inside. We finally got seated at an inside table after about an hour after our reservation.This by itself wouldnt have bothered me too much. But the service otherwise was very spotty. Our waitress was rarely seen. Our wine glasses sat empty on several occasions. She took forever to come around to check in on us. Im not sure if this is entirely her fault - it could have just been the fact that theyre severely understaffed. But there arent that many tables in the restaurant, so maybe its just an operations management problem.Anyway, the food:3 item tasting plate: we got the baby octopus, pigs ear salad, and blood sausage. They were all delicious. My favorite was the blood sausage, but the others were very good too. The pigs ear salad was light and refreshing, and I love the texture of pigs ear. Theres a similar dish in Chinese cuisine, which I love, so this reminded me of that homey dish. The baby octopus was very flavorful.Caldo verde: I love soup! This was perfect for the cold rainy day. The consomme is thickened with some potato, so it was a hearty soup, but it wasnt heavy. I liked the linguica, but wished there was a little more in my bowl.Romaine salad: this was a simple salad, and was probably the most plain dish of the evening. The white anchovies were flavorful and very acidic.Scallop appetizer: this was AMAZING! The puree was hearty and citrusy. It went really well with the scallop. After eating the scallop, I wiped the bowl clean of the puree with their bread (which is also amazing!).Fishermans stew: this is a very hearty seafood stew. The broth is VERY flavorful. It was slightly salty for my taste, but with bread, it went very well. The fish was slightly overcooked. All of the seafood was very fresh. It was a delicious savory stew!Fish special - whole branzino: this was wood oven roasted with olives, red peppers and finished with a parsley vinegar sauce. This was absolutely wonderful! Im very snobby about fish and usually find that restaurants overcook fish and ruin it. But the branzino was both fresh and cooked perfectly. The other gripe I usually have with fish is that its flavorless. But the parsley vinegar sauce was very flavorful, without being heavy, and made the fish really easy to eat, despite its size.All in all, the food at LaSalette is amazing. I just hope their service issues are a rare problem. Its definitely a great place to eat, with good value for your money!

Tough review to write, as the food was approaching 5 stars. Unfortunately, they had some really bad service. Its a small restaurant, so maybe they attack different zones of the table chart with teams of servers, but either way we had 3 different people serve us and this created a ton of confusion for them and lead to mistakes.It was super awkward too in that after our food was dropped off nobody checked in on us until the very end when bus boy took dishes and the hostess made her hard-sell for dessert. During the actual meal we didnt know who to flag down for issues (more drinks, more bread ... both of which server #3 told us they were onto as she dropped off our main courses ... and then nobody swung by for over 30 minutes!)I had to leave a subpar tip + comment on the check, and gave cash to the bus/water boy on the way out because he was busting a$$!It just left a sour taste in my mouth as Im by no means a food snob and dont expect absurd levels of service, but this was the one time in Napa/Sonoma where both my wife and I were really pissed that a restaurant would have such good food, but inevitably stain our anniversary dinner via terrible service.

As high quality cuisine as LaSalette serves, it surprised our party of 3 how efficient they were in serving it (!) Yet, there was no rushing, no sense of turning the table, and the food was excellent. We tourists will return.
