I stayed at the Larkspur Hotel for an extended stay, due to a medical condition I had which made me stay close to a medically equipped hospital. During my weeks at the extended stay I had the pleasure of meeting the great staff. From manager Wendy to all employees at the front desk, maintenance crew, and housekeeping, they were great. Always willing to help, always had a warm welcoming and good morning. They were very sweet by delivering flowers to my hospital room once I was admitted for my surgery and checked out from the hotel. The experience there was definitely home away from home especially being able to do laundry at no cost or hassle finding quarters when using their machines.The only thing I wouldve liked is filtered water to fill up my half gallon jug daily, I had to buy cases of water bottles every so often to keep hydrated. Other than that, 5 stars to this place. Id definitely recommend it to anyone in my situation.Thank you staff for allowing me to stay there and welcoming my family when theyd visit.

I booked Larkspur Landing Sunnyvale based on Google recommendations. Upon check-in, the provided room key didnt work, requiring a trip back downstairs for a replacement. Exhausted from my flight, this was extremely inconvenient. The new room had spiders and insects on the bed. Now, on my second day, theres a persistent beeping sound. Hotel staff claim management cant address the issue and I must stay in the room overnight. I explained my inability to sleep, especially as an asthma sufferer, but they were unresponsive. The lack of sleep is causing nausea and I urgently need assistance.

My husband stayed at Larkspur Landing Sunnyvale for past 2 nights. It has been horrible for him. After check in his key was not working and he had to do back and forth after a long flight. Then he saw a spider on the bed. This is ridiculous. Last night he had a beeping sound in the room. He complained but no action was taken by the hotel. He was not able to sleep the whole night and he was not feeling well because of this. This is a terrible hotel and we are going to avoid these local chains from now on. I want to warn the other people— Don’t stay in this hotel.

Nice hotel for the price especially if you qualify for their longer term rate. See note at bottom. Rooms while a bit dated, but were well kept, nothing greasy nor sticky. Also had some USB ports, though not at the bed, supply of stuff for the kitchen utensils, paper towels, dishwasher soap etc. Experience was dimished by the check in which took about 10 minutes (+), caused first by problems reading my credit cards, then getting the card key properly registered (took about 15 tries!). Drama continued in the room as initially there was no signal to the TV and could only be solved the next day when the facilities person came, but turned out that the TV would bug out multiple times daily (sometimes hourly) regularly about 5+ minutes each time. Found that the phone was not working at this point and had to walk down to the front desk. A second desk phone was provided but the handset was not working (needs new batteries?). Staff was helpful, especially when the guest above used their room as an exercise hall. They quickly called and solved the problem. Your enjoyment of the stay will be largely dependent on who is staying above you and their schedule. was nice, steamed rice and furikake, eggs, bacon, sausage and french toast along with fruits, cereal, bread and bagels. Coffee was always available.One day however it was late about 30 minutes, as the staff struggled to find the key for the dining room and food storage. Most memorable experience was leaving the room about 1:30PM, putting up the clean room tag half expecting that it was too late. Pleasant surprise to find that the room had been made up on my return!Had the opportunity for a second stay which was good but with another set of equipment issues. Refrigerator compressor needed belt adjustment and stopped with a large bang after each operation. Wall thermostat was non operational. Same problem with tv. Bathroom sensor for light did not work. Mirrors are heated to defog generally in face area, but in this second room, only the the forehead is cleared.It seems as some training is in order as room service tried to come in when the do not disturb sign was up, ignored my please clean sign when I had it up (saw the cart, thought I was next).After looking at the bill I noticed a $10 a night parking charge that no one mentioned nor stated on the website. Watchout if you book through your company website and it mentions additional fees in the fine print. Taxes were left out and not clear in the original documentation. This added approximately 20% to the total charge so forget my comment on reasonable prices!

Unclean rooms that smell awful. I ended up being sick for three weeks after staying at this place. The whole corridor smelled of trash. The carpets are so dirty I could not be bare foot even for a second.Breakfast was barely anything.To reply to the owner: I did complain about the smelly corridors and air fresher was sprayed one day but it was the same next day. Also we were a group of three work colleagues in three separate rooms who all had the same experience so not sure asking for a room change would have helped.

Overall it was a ok experience.Clean rooms however they are very dated.Front desk usually helpful.The guy on 06/14, Friday morning during checkout was RUDE.Just asked for him to resolve a detail at the receipt, and got refused.

It was a good stay for almost a week. Stayed twice and each time its been good. Breakfast isnt so great in variety and quality but its free and I didnt really need breakfast from the location tbh. Room is clean except the top of the fridge in the studio room that was a bit dusty. Overall a bit older but value for money for business travellers.

Room keys didn’t work and I was locked out three times. Lights in the bedroom didn’t work. Bathtub didn’t drain. TV shut down after about 30 mins. Staff was lovely.

I stayed at this hotel with my friend when we were going to see Taylor Swift. The price was affordable and the rooms looked nice online. However, after getting dinner and settling in our room it was about 11 pm, I noticed the bed reeked of piss. So I took off the bed spread, sheets, and even the mattress pad, and found a huge pee stain on the mattress. So we went down to the front desk to let the staff know, and the man at the front desk said he could give us a refund and that was it. He then questioned us on why we didn’t come down sooner even though we were out getting dinner late. He said he could send us a few blankets but there were no sheets or pillow cases available (very weird considering this is a hotel but okay). Then we came down again and asked for a new room, the night shift front desk lady questioned us on why we didn’t come down sooner, and we yet again explained we were not on the premises, we were out getting dinner. She was very rude, and claimed there were no rooms available, until we showed her the “available room” online through their website. After that, she allowed us to move rooms. The service and staff here were very rude for no reason, and i have a feeling it was because my friend and I are younger. I never write reviews, but I figured this should be shared for others looking to stay here.

The service was great, the rooms clean and spacious. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities that were needed all I needed to supply was my choice of meals. The bed was very comfortable, my window opened so I was able to turn off air and slept with fresh air instead. Also the hot water was plentiful and showerhead worked great also. Bonus free laundry for guests and a light breakfast with some fabulous coffee. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Rooms are a bit run down and definitely not what the online photos look like. Couch was lightly torn, and just felt dirty where I didnt really want to sit on it. Bedroom sheets and bath were at least clean.

Dreadful Stay Unfriendly StaffI recently had the worst motel experience of my life. The rooms were disgustingly dirty, smell verrry bad, and the front desk staff was incredibly unfriendly. Despite having paid for a two-month stay, I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable that I decided to leave. I strongly discourage anyone from staying at this motel if they value cleanliness, friendliness, and security. Look for alternative accommodation to avoid the frustration I endured.

The room was very comfortable. It is a hotel for long stays, so every room is equipped with a full size refrigerator and a kitchen.Breakfast included, nothing too fancy, but enough to start the day with a good coffee and bagels or Eggos.My only complaint: I had to send them 3 emails asking for my receipt until I got it, since by the check out time they told that their system was not working.

I spent a week here. Close to services. Great little Mediterranean food place next door. Coffee downstairs 24/7. BBQ grill if you have the time. I was solo this trip but I could easily bring my family here.

Update: I forgot to update the review here to mention that the manager on duty in the morning of our second day was MUCH more helpful. She called to check on us, apologized for the situation, got us different pillows, and assured me she planned on discussing it with her staff. Our second night was much better.The hotel itself is alright, but management has been awful. They couldnt find my request for an upstairs room and charged me twice at check in, then we discovered theres not really any AC in the bedroom (the hotel room has a living area with AC, but the bedroom has a tiny hole in the wall for the air to circulate through). Not big deals, so we go about our day.When I got back to the room to sleep, I noticed they only had feather pillows, which I am very allergic to. Called down to ask about an alternative and Sam, the night manager, was awful about it. He claimed to have no idea what kind of pillows these are, and said that in his three years as a manager, hes never been asked. No apology for the inconvenience or anything.I asked for a blanket to roll up as a makeshift pillow for the night and was told Id have to go get it since nobody is available to bring it. Again, fine, except when I got down, there was someone else working the desk, so it seems like the least they could do would be to apologize for the hassle and deliver the blanket-pillow, rather than be entirely rude about the whole thing.The bed has been fine, the room is hot, and my back/neck officially hurt from sleeping on a rolled up blanket, but overall, Id not recommend staying here due to the attitude youll encounter at the front desk, and check your bank statement to be sure they didnt charge you twice. Our stay + deposit meant Im out an extra $750 for a few days while the bank sorts it out, not ideal on vacation.

First time I stay here and it was pretty ok. The room has a kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge, soap, plates, silverware, etc.), A/C, a huge bed, TV, Dish, a little desk and free WiFi is included, which is really nice.The room was ok and my only complained would be the bathroom, not that clean and the toilet seat was so old and yucky... seriously not the best.Other than that, the hotel has free laundry, vending machines and, if you are hungry, plenty of options around the area.The staff is really friendly and helpful, cant thank them enough and I will sure be back in my next visit!

I would say nice place, the front desk folks are very nice and welcoming.However, it is a very old hotel and it shows! Most of the amenities are old, and so personally for the money I feel this place is not worth it. Also they stopped breakfast, citing covid but it was never mentioned during booking which is one of the things I considered during booking.Location is pretty good though, walking distance to a halal restaurant was one of the best things.

Nice big rooms with full kitchen. Separate bedroom with door that closes. Real desk and chair to work on. Airco is noisy and doesn’t always work right. Contrary to what Google map says: there is no hot tub. Breakfast is continental meaning danish and stale bagels. Front desk people are nice and so is the manager.

A very very nice hotel, great rooms, spacious and well equipped, with kitchen, LG TV, even a DVD Player is in the room. The place is very clean, the staff is of stellar friendliness, and it is in a great location, close to the 101 (but not too close, so no noises from the freeway), close to Sunnyvale station. I highly recommend this place.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. The rooms are a bit dated and could use some updating. The air conditioner made a very loud sound about every 3 hours that sounded like a car crash, it would abruptly wake me from a deep sleep which wasnt particularly enjoyable. The hotel breakfast is pretty mediocre in my opinion. Location is convenient. Rooms are spacious and do have a full kitchen. Other than the refrigerator issue, the room was quiet, not a lot of street noise or noise within the hotel. The hallways have an odd smell, I cant put my finger on it but its pretty faint and only in the hallways. Overall, not bad but not particularly impressive either. I did read that they have free laundry facilities for guests which might me a nice touch for those staying long term.

I have found an incarnation of Basil Fawlty! Arrived there for a 2 night stay, to find they entirely changed their payment policies & terms without telling anyone. Clerk (named Sam who insisted he was a manager LOL) refused service to African American gentlemen in front of me (who had driven up from LA). The new policies were printed out on the front desk, but not online nor anywhere else but front desk. Then it was my turn to be refused entry to a prepaid room. Another lady was hovering in the lobby as well, trying to sort out options after being denied entry to her prepaid room. LL took payment online but once you got to front desk, unless you had the very specific type of payment for their arbitrary deposit, you were literally SOL. What type of hospitality place only has ONE, very specific type of payment option?Sam the Front Desk Clerk was pretty useless. Sam, fyi, dude, a manager provides solutions. Sam the Clerk could shrug and say heres a post-it with the 3rd party #. Thats not manager material, Sam the Clerk, not one bit. Larkspur Landing, please do better, all around. Luckily, it was easy to book another hotel nearby and have an easy, 5 minute check-in elsewhere.The one-star is for the coffee in the lobby. No guest lobby wifi - that wouldve been helpful - but they did have a few coffee carafes out.

For the price, I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was big with a separate sitting room. Very comfortable and clean. Kitchen area is well equipped with all required utensils, cutlery and crockery plus large microwave oven, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee maker. Huge bathroom with toiletries provided. Free parking. I didnt use the restaurant. Staff are very professional and courteous. Close to the 101 so really handy for commuting. Not a lot to do in the immediate area, youll have to drive if you want some proper food and shopping.

We were set up at this place through disaster relief due to the CZU Fires. First the bad...this place is tired. It is in need of some upgrades and renovations. The beds were the worst. My back feels bruised as if I was sleeping on rocks. The mattress are very lumpy. Now the good. The staff there is AMAZING!! Especially the night gal. I never got her name but she was so kind with a smile every time . The maintenance and housekeeping crew are also very kind and helpful. The rooms are very nice. Nice kitchen with full size refrigerator, mini dishwasher, 2 burner stove top, dishes etc. Our kitten got out of our room and we couldnt find her. Staff was on every floor looking for her and searching outside too. One of the housekeepers found her. Tears of joy and relief.

Very, very poor check-in experience, the Indian man at the front desk has a very poor attitude, rude, at least no greeting, no response to saying thank you, and the first day of check-in by sending a message to the hotel to respond to the air-conditioned room The air conditioner is very loud, very noisy, and there is no reply. Until now, there has been no reply. The ladies have excellent service. This is a three-star hotel. I didnt expect the mens service that night to be so bad. hotel.

I liked the suite layout with the full kitchen incuding refrigerator and dishwasher. It felt like a home away from home. The lack of centralized lighting in the rooms made the overall feel very dark. The inner room fan was also very loud. The complementary breakfast was decent and the overall amenities were good. The people were nice and friendly.

Our stay here was great. We werent sure because of the mixed reviews. Spotless rooms, comfortable bed, kitchen was equiped with the necessary things. Front desk staff was attentive. We ended up extending our stay because of COVID, and they offered us a 20% discount. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very convenient for work travel. Within working distance from major companies and a short drive from very good food. I was able to avoid the rush hour traffic. After work, I could easily go back to the hotel to chill and wait for the traffic to die down.There was plenty of parking every day and it was fairly quiet. The room has a kitchen, sink, large fridge and microwave. The beds were a little bit on the hard side and pillows were small.The service was very good. Overall the room was clean with room for improvement in the carpets and bathroom caulking.

The first day of our stay the toilet backed up. The hotel front desk asked if we wanted a plunger. There are no vents or fans in the bathroom. The towels feel like sandpaper. The refrigerator is ridiculously loud. I would not recommend staying here.

Lovely suite and staff. Very pleased with our two day stay. Excellant in every way. Perfect kitchenette with state of the art appliances. Sleep was wonderful with comfortable mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets and cozy comforter. We will stay there again next month.

We came to town for a friends wedding. We wanted to stay near the reception but someplace nice. Larkspur Landing Sunnyvale lived up to the pictures on the site. Not every hotel Ive stayed at has. The room was clean and spacious (room for four adults). The staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good enough to start the day. Tip : If you want an omelette with something in it get the frittata, its the one that is yellow. I loved this place and would definitely stay again but have just one complaint. I wish the bathroom had a fan. With four adults sharing space using the toilet couldve been easier if we werent mingling smells. Other than that great place and highly recommend you stay here.

Really enjoyed our stay! Great service. A little older, not absolutely perfect, but they make up for it with their people. Very pretty hotel too, very zen. Free breakfast, The breakfast is very simple, eggs, juices, cereal, fruit, yogurt, but it was all fresh, lots of it. You get a full kitchen which is nice of you stay long.Great location, quiet, near highways and the airport.Very very clean hotel, great value. Id stay here again!!

The front desk attendant greeted us, answered all our questions and quickly got us checked in Although the furnishings are old, the rooms are well maintained and the room was clean. There was plenty of room for my family of four. We couldnt quite get the temperature right. My husband and I were hot while the kids were cold. That didnt make for the most restful night. The Continental Breakfast in the morning was fairly modest. No coffee or tea. The hotel was conveniently located. Wed go back

For the price I expected more. The hotel seems to not be renovated in quite some time. The AC is loud and the fridge seems to be from the 90s and is very load as well, needed to shut it off to be able to sleep at all. Breakfast is very basic „continental“, the coffee was okay though. Staff seemed friendly, expect during the fire alarm, there was no staff in sight and the guests seemed a bit disorganized. The elevator tends to get stuck.

The room had ample floor space--more than your typical Bay Area apartment. Come to think of it, that explains the nightly rate I had to pay to stay here. Talk about surge pricing! Full kitchen with full sized fridge, which came in handy for all those snacks I served to visiting guests and dignitaries. The water pressure in the shower was high, as if little needles were firing from the shower head aimed straight for my nipples.

Overall good experience. Staff was friendly, pet friendly, clean, spacious. Nice kitchen with microwave, stove, regular size fridge, and plates/cookware. Great for business or personal stay. Wouldnt reccommend for families, (its only a 3 star--Id select 4-5 star for vacations). There were some troublesome guests (loud, hallway smelled like marijuana at one point). When I called front desk using hote phone, they never answered, until I called with my mobile. Other than that, it was great for a few weeks stay.

I love this hotel! It felt like a little piece of home after a long day of going out and about. The staffs were awesome and very accomodating. Studio style rooms that are well cleaned and full of amenities. My room came with a small but well equipped kitchen with plates and utensils. Never had the need to cook in a hotel, but the option being there was great. Ample space.Staff is friendly - I asked for ketchup and they gave me 10 bags of the stuff.The number of gym equipment was surprisingly large - could get a full workout here.Free laundry is a huge plus.

Ive had a really positive experience here. In a ten day stay with my toddler and lizards, things could not have gone better. The room is a suite that feels like an apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen, a desk, and plenty of space. Ill definitely stay here the next time I need a hotel. Theres even a pancake machine!

With the pandemic, I think my room might have been empty for a while because there was a pink film growing in the bathtub (it rubbed off easily, so either the room had not been cleaned recently or was cleaned poorly). Also, the road noise from Mathilda and 101 was intense from my room. Finally, the hall reeked of smoke this morning when I was carrying my stuff to my car: people must have smoked right under the second floor hall window. The location is good, but I have preferred my stays at other nearby hotels.

Check in was good. Rooms were dated. Mine had a refrigerator compressor that ran all night and made banging noise. My blackout curtain didnt black out all the light from outside. The tub drain backed up so I had gray water around my ankles while trying to get clean and the door was problematic the entire time trying to get into my own room. Clearly they dont do any kind of maintenance. Also the breakfast was nothing to write home about I ended up walking down to Hobees. Besides that parking and location are pretty good

My only complaint is the water pressure -- it is way too high.If I turned the sink on past about 40% power, the water would splash so hard off the basin that the entire counter would be soaked in less than a second. This happened to me two or three times until I finally remembered not to ever turn the sink on all the way. The shower is not much better. It was painful to stand in the same spot for more than a second or two because of how hard the water hits you.I would have given 3 stars if not for the excellent service and friendly staff. Overall, this is not a bad hotel to stay at, but the water pressure issue was very annoying to deal with.

This is no 5 star hotel but per meeting my expectation, this place did not fall short. My personal situation was a business trip and the location of this hotel couldnt have been better. The premises are lovely on the outside, and though dated, also pleasant on the inside. The rooms are clean and the linen is soft, and more importantly the pillows as well. You can tell that the majority of their business is from conventions which makes it even that much more appropriate. Nothing special, but its exactly the type of place you want to be when in town for a non-vacation function.

I stayed this hotel during my business trip. The hotel room was dirty and TV and light fixtures were having some issues. I called front desk to fix the TV at least but they could not fix right away. I had no TV service for the first couple days during the stay. The building was creepy and was different from what it looked in the online pictures. Breakfast was very disappointing, almost non-existing. Also if you book through third party, the hotel will not provide you any statement. I have been booking hotels for my past business trips through the same travel agency but this is the first hotel who refused to provide any documents or receipt. Larkspur Landing Sunnyvale is worth the 4-star. It has a nice homely feeling all around. There is lot of furniture in the room and rooms are designed as if its a regular elegant house. Larkspur deserves good grades for what most people appreciate. Though I feel they discriminate in ways that are arbitrary and for people who use the Larkspur if Handicapped it is, not the kind of spirit public policy supports. I receive a call I responded to below, seems the problem was I stay many days without housekeeping and check out. But somehow my last checkout the same thing I do became a problem. I eat Top Ramen like crazy and the trash containers are small and difficult or unsafe for me to use too much as I have an SCI. The trash container could be bigger and eliminate the only real shortcoming of the rooms, some better than others though. When I made inquiry the offer to rent a room was withdrawn. Was not told anything when checking out as I switched room while staying and checking out was uneventful. And after accepting to pay $250 dollar cleaning deposit, incongruently changed their mind. Leading me to know what this is not about a case of Top Ramen boxes on the stove countertop.Good Morning Junealle,I like to finish the reservation process.I have Spinal Cord Injury that causes trouble with balance, coordination and lower extremity weakness with overall fatigue. I eat a lot of Top Ramen soups in my room. Those wrappings fill a trash container up quickly. I am sorry and apologize for not checking the room and doing a better job of preparing my food. I especially was upset to ear I caused Larkspur the trouble and cost to inact a Covid cleaning protocol which given short staffing took a week to clean my room. My reasons and not an excuse besides there a great deal of pain ordinary run around the room for one quick check is hard for me to do overlooked. It was appreciated you did not charge me a fee cleaning fee. I find that Larkspur expect me to take care of the room and while you where not requiring a deposit, I find to it reasonable to provide a deposit. And you the goal of the call I was to clear up expectations so the conversation need not take place in the Lobby. The hotel is big with large rooms with kitchen included. The main road is a bit busy so asking for a room on the other side of the hotel warantees less noise. The gym is very tiny for an hotel this size, only a bike, a threadmill, an elliptical bike and a weight bench. No bike shed, if you have a bike you need to keep it in your room.

This is a well appointed hotel that is very clean and convenient to downtown Sunnyvale and the surrounding highways. The suites are excellent choices especially if you are on a restrictive diet—you can buy food and keep and cook it in the kitchen. Internet works reasonably well and has Ethernet in addition to WiFi, which is great if you travel with your own WiFi router. I heard there was a free breakfast included with hotel stay, but what you want to do is go to Hobiees. They have reay tasty breakfasts and some type of phenomenal blueberry coffee cake. We rode some free google bikes from Shoreline Amphitheater to here after the Dead & Co. show 2 nights in a row, and the price was great for all that was included -- $115 / night. However a few days after we checked out this hotel charged my credit card for $250!! When I called to find out what had happened the staff told me I was charged because there was evidence of us smoking in the room!! A lovely blend of modern and art deco, this hotel is lovely from the lobby to the rooms! There are always warm, fresh cookies in the lobby and its a stones throw from Dish N Dash, which is an amazing take away Mediterranean place!

It was a decent but Spartan suite. Their was no separate AC in the bedroom, but an ad-hoc fan inserted in the wall, designed to ineffectually suck cool air from the AC unit in the other room; also, it compromised privacy, as sound leaked, and curious kids could easily look through the fan hole.

Considering the price, I think its absolutely fine. Staff are friendly and I see them try to provide positive experiences to customers. Kitchen is a plus, although its minimal. Room is a bit dated and water stuck in bathtub when you I used shower.

The worst experience ever. I got a confirmation email for my stay and when I tried to checkin, they forced me to pay an extra $10 otherwise they said they wont honor my reservation. They didnt let me record the conversation and its at night 10PM after long flight and taxis. Its not about $10 donation but its about not informing me about mandatory fees and their behavior with me after taking taxi to the hotel at night 10 PM. And they tried to capitalize my situation by not letting me to checkin nor record the conversation. Their confirmation email says my reservation is confirmed but the staff says, its not unless I pay extra $10 otherwise they wont let me checkin and they said, the problem is with the Tripadvisor site, I made the booking with but not them. While I have a confirmation directly from both Tripadvisor and from the hotel too.

Double billed me for my stay. Didnt have my booking when I arrived, and when I asked about why they were collecting a deposit when they already collected it, the receptionist was rude. Sure enough, they never returned the deposit and I had to dispute the transaction through the credit card company.

Nice venue with fair value for the area. Was recommended by a friend to stop by, and had a satisfying experience. Parking lot is rather small for modern cars though, and the entrance is easy to miss. Still worth stopping by if youre in the area.
