Great experience. My wife and I went as a birthday gift for her, and we had a great time. The music was good, the drinks and snacks as well, I loved seeing that side of Tahoe as it was my 1st time and got to learn some facts about the lake as well would definitely go again

We chose the perfect day to cruise around Lake Tahoe! The sun was out and the lake was calm. Im really glad we chose the Bleu Wave! The captain and crew were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. We sat on the top deck and had great views of the lake and surrounding area. They offered us sodas, coffee, water, juice, beer, or wine and they brought it to us with some snack options. It was a very relaxing and fun tour!

On the first full evening of our trip to Tahoe, our family of 8 embarked with Bleu Wave for a 2 hour cruise at sunset. The views were great, the crew was kind, the drinks were okay and snack situation was subpar with only small bags of Frito Lay chip options. We enjoyed our time together, snapped a bunch of photos, sang along to the oldie tunes blasting out of the speakers and the captain let my niece drive the ship for awhile (and like really steer not an autopilot child-fake-out!). It was a nice memory and a great way to start the trip.But upon returning to the parking lot after sunset, we found that our car had been towed leaving 6 adults and 2 children stranded in an empty parking lot. Our main issue is with the Tahoe Keys Marina, Suntex who runs it and Lizette the Harbor Master as the zone we parked in was not clearly marked.But Bleu Wave isn’t off the hook. Once we boarded, the captain apologized for the tough parking situation as a large portion of the lot was cordoned off for a funeral that afternoon for “one of their own.” We shrugged it off knowing we got one of the final spaces along a stretch that had 15-20 cars parallel parked on it (towing company said they were ordered to tow 15 cars).This line of cars was no more than 20 yards away from the Bleu Wave attendant’s booth who checked us in and stood with us waiting for two in our party who were grabbing something from our car down that very lane. It would have been nice if she had been on high alert and warned that some of her customers may be in danger of a tow. In fact, two other gentlemen from the Bleu Wave cruise were towed along with us - and we drivers shared an Uber to retrieve them.  Two days later, my father and I returned to the marina to speak with Lacey of Bleu Wave, who was very kind and upset with the situation on our behalf but was unwilling to place adequate responsibility upon her ticket girl or the crew who could have warned us about the unique parking situation (which has not occurred in her 6 years there). But if it was such a unique situation shouldn’t that have made it easier to observe and protect your guests?Since we have no relation to the Marina but were customers of Bleu Wave, we requested a reimbursement for the towing cost (over $500) which would essentially be a 50% discount on what we spent on Bleu Wave and hope they will advocate for us and for future guests of the marina. It has been one week since we met with Lacey and she assured us that she had relayed it to her supervisor and that the Harbor Master would be contacted but we have not been offered restitution.I hope to come back soon to update this review with a situation that has been rectified because of improved parking signage installed and customers who have been reimbursed for their trouble. What began as a lovely memory continues to be bitterly discouraging.Photos that are attached to this review show the gravel lane where parked cars blocked the No Parking Signs.

Earlier this week, I took a cruise with this company to Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe, and I cant say enough good things about this company, the crew, and how amazing the cruise went. The crew were great, friendly and accomdating. They definitely deserved all their tips. The ride was smooth. The boat and its quarters were really nice. I loved the complimentary snacks and drinks that were provided. Oh ya, of course, the sights were breathtaking. Its definitely a cruise Ill never forget. And the other passengers on the cruise were friendly too. All in all, it was a really wonderful time. If Im ever in Lake Tahoe again, I will book a cruise with this company again.

We took this cruise last week. Totally worth it! The experience earned two-thumbs up from all members of our family.The captain and crew were fun and professional. They were friendly and accommodating. They even let my daughter pilot the boat. :)The cruise was comfortable and informative. Beautiful boat. Smooth ride with no motion sickness issues. Easy to move around check out the whole boat. We were able to get great pictures of the beautiful surroundings.We wondered when we booked it if it might be overpriced, but after riding we now have NO REGRETS! Worth every penny! Just do it!

Wonderful experience! We enjoyed the history our captain gave us as we boated over to Emrald Bay. We learned a lot. Besides the trip having beautiful scenery and views from the water, the drinks and snacks were such a bonus. We enjoyed sipping on a Mimosa while cruising through the lake. The captain and his first mate were wonderful! The cruise was wonderful! The views were outstanding!

This sunset cruise was awesome! The captain and crew mates were outstanding! They talked to us on a personal level, shared some history, took sunset pictures of couples, waited on us for our drinks and recommended restaurants in the local area! The cruise to Emerald Bay was amazing! The colors of the sky after sunset were picture perfect moments. You also get snack and drink tickets, which was a nice extra! When you return from the cruise, you have the option of buying a photo for $20 that is taken before you get on the boat. This cruise is a must in Tahoe! 🌅 🚢

Very beautiful 2 hour yacht tour from the Tahoe Keys marina to Emerald Bay along the South Tahoe coast and back. The 2 man crew was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I didn’t partake in the snacks and drinks inside because I really wanted to enjoy the views unobstructed and breathe the fresh air. Wear appropriate clothing to stay comfortable, if you want to stay outside the whole trip. I brought binoculars and glad I did. There’s a raptor nest at the entrance of Emerald Bay that the captain will point out. No raptors seen nesting when I went but nice to see nonetheless. Ospreys and Bald eagles are seen in the area, so if you’re lucky, you might see them on the ride.Make sure you drive into the parking lot of the marina and there should be someone standing waiting to give you your tickets, including stub for free drink, and point you to where the yacht is located. Plenty of parking was available when I went in late April.

We took a ride on the Bleu Wave Lake Tahoe on June 18. It was the highlight of our trip! Captain Augustine and Sebastian were wonderful hosts, teaching us history and facts about Lake Tahoe. We thoroughly enjoyed our two hour ride!

The cruise was great, captain was super knowledgeable and interacted with the passengers in a fun manner. He even re-routed the ship for a bit in Emerald Bay when a bear was spotted on shore so we got some great pics and an extra experience we werent expecting.The only reason we didnt give them 5 stars was Google maps took us to an empty lot. Not sure if there is anything you can do to fix the google maps location though. We were able to call the number provided and they steered us in the right direction to a kiosk. Would be nice to mention the rubicon dock and where the kiosk is located in the emails after purchase. As well as where the customers can park.Would recommend to anyone that wants a fun 2 hours on the lake.

We went on the happy hour cruise & had a great time! The boat was very clean & nice. The crew was Augustine, Charlie & Stevie & they were great! Each one of them took the time to come up to us individually and talk to us & ask us about ourselves. They were very attentive. During the cruise, Augustine gave us interesting facts along the way but didnt overload us with too much info. The scenery was beautiful! We have to agree with some of the other reviews weve seen, it was a bit confusing to figure out where to go once we got to the marina. There is 1 sign that says Tahoe Blue Wave but thats it. We didnt know if we were suppose to wait there or walk down by ourselves. (the walk down the dock is a long one so if you have issues walking you should take this into consideration). We walked down by ourselves, turns out we were supposed to wait. Clear instructions/directions are needed. Other than that, it was an awesome experience & we would recommend this cruise!

Relaxing boat cruise to Emerald Bay. One free drink included with a small bag of chips. Go to very end of pier parking. Stay to right of pier and take dock to the very end.If you’ve never been to Emerald Bay, I suggest driving and being on top of the bay looking down versus being on the boat, but the tour on the boat was still beautiful.I’m being nitpicking on the snack. Small bags of chips. No one really eats Goldfish crackers except kids. Didn’t eat dinner before I went on trip so wanted some chips. About an hour in, 10 bags of goldfish crackers left, they said no more chips, obviously no one likes them but you guys keep on buying them. Then you want a tip at the end. If you’re cheap, should I tip? I went to the community college for a play and they had better selection of snacks than your boat tour and only charged $1 per snack

Incredible afternoon spent on the Bleu Wave learning about Lake Tahoe and enjoying the views and beverages. Highly recommend this comfortable boat and crew. Each guest receives two drink tickets for alcoholic beverages. Water, soft drinks and snacks are all included in price of ticket. Beautiful vessel built in the early 1960s and well maintained. Has had several owners before becoming a Lake Tahoe tourist vessel. I wish the trip would have been longer than two hours, which took us to beautiful Emerald Bay. Highly recommend.

I spent most of the time with the Captain in the upper bridge area. He was very knowledgable and interesting to talk to. I had a family of 11 with me and they all had a good time. The Captain was gracious enough to answer many questions about the surroundings, on and off mic. The day had been cloudy, but the clouds parted and the day was beautiful. The crew works on tips, and they were very attentive. They brought us free sodas and waters all morning. The boat has places you can observe that are wide open as well as closed off from the weather. BTW the Captain can put that boat in some very tight spaces. Way to go skipper!

We had an awesome time on the 2 hour sunset cruise on Lake Tahoe! The views were beautiful and the crew was super friendly and accommodating. It was truly a 5-star experience! It was also a great experience for my 4-year old son. I would love to go again. When we went it was very cold though so I recommend people dress in several warm layers and definitely have warm gloves because it is cold on the lake at this time of year.

In honor of our anniversary a crew member got word and they congratulated us and played us a song with champagne which was really Sweet. My husband and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary last Sunday aboard The Blue Wave during the sunset cruise. The boat had a full load of passengers and left on time from the dock. We were greeted by the crew and offered a drink right away on board. While there were more passengers on board than I was expecting, I was happy with the seats we selected on the bow. We enjoyed seeing the South Shore of Lake Tahoe from the water- it was our first time being on the water in this lake ever! I appreciated the information shared by the captain about the features along the shore as we went along. Emerald bay was gorgeous and so interesting to learn about. Ive visited Vikingsholm castle twice before, but I was happy to learn more about it on the boat. On the way back, we were treated to an epic sunset- made spectacular by the dispersing storm clouds around the rim of the mountains surrounding the lake. The captain spun the boat around slowly during the sunset, so everyone could enjoy it no matter where they were sitting.I think next time, I might enjoy a boat with a smaller group of passengers, but we enjoyed this cruise very much!

The only positive about this experience was that we were on beautiful Lake Tahoe. The free drinks were Kirkland’s brand red or white, Andre’s, and two beer options. The accommodation was a bit worn and there was title commentary. My family and I were not impressed and had hoped for more for our money, as it was quite pricey to go on the sunset cruise.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Crew was very patient with taking pictures and didn’t hesitate to chat with the passengers and explain the geographical features and history of the place. The captain kept it entertaining the whole time with the narration, but didn’t overdo it. We visited during November and if you can brave the cold, it’s totally worth it to sit outside on the main deck because the view is phenomenal especially near Emerald Bay. A wonderful 2 hours and totally worth it!

While there were no tours available via the Internet, a quick phone call got us on an unadvertised mid day tour. The price was a bit on the high side but we really wanted to go. The boat may have seen better days but it was very stable and secure. The crew were fun and friendly, which in turn made the the 2 hour tour a lot of fun. We highly recommend that you put Bleu Wave on your itinerary.

We took the 11am cruise on September 29th, Friday. The captain and the crew were friendly, polite and informative, as well as having a good sense of humor. The yacht was sea worthy and had plenty of room for all customers. Drinks and snacks were served as well. Bathrooms were clean and worked! Excellent views and narration from the Captain and crew. Everyone on board seemed to have a great time. I definitely would recommend this cruise to Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe. I also would advise wearing layers of clothing or a jacket as the wind chill will make for chilly ride.

Bleu Wave was a must do when visiting Lake Tahoe. When booking, you may think that each ticket is a lot of money. That being said, not everyone can say they boated around Lake Tahoe. Two of us went on a Bleu Wave cruise at the end of May, 2017. Beautiful Lake Tahoe with snow capped mountains all around, gorgeous Emerald Bay up close, Vikingsholm, and heavily forested shorelines. All of that for $65 per person (on-line discount price) and it included free lunch of sandwiches and two drinks per person. The crew added to the memorable experience.

We took the emerald bay sightseeing cruise and it was beautiful, even on a cloudy, rainy day. The sun poked through just enough to show us a rainbow. Staff was friendly and Captain Augie gave us a smooth ride, shared some interesting history about the lake and was funny and engaging. He even answered a lot of our extra questions :) Highly recommend this boat ride!

My husband, son. and I enjoyed the 2 hour boat tour. Captain Augustine was informative, interesting, and humorous as he shared his knowledge of Lake Tahoe. Ruben and Caleb were very cordial and helpful. Riding on the Bleu Wave was the highlight of our trip. We would definitely ride it again.Its a 10 out of 10! 😀

Amazing experience! So much more then I had anticipated. The views were gorgeous! The Yacht was beautiful, staff was friendly and helpful! Captain Augustine was knowledgeable, and informative, but also surprisingly witty and funny. He had the entire boat cracking up on more then one occasion! It’s not typical I take a sight seeing cruise and want to do it again after doing so, but this was indefinitely one I will be repeating! Had an absolute blast and 10/10 recommend!

This was a great experience!!! The boat is good size for comfort and small capacity so there aren’t too many people on the trip. The crew was wonderful. We let them know we had someone with mobility issues and they happily got a wheelchair to move him to the boat. They then helped us get him safely on and off the boat without making him feel like it was a problem. When the trip was over they also wheeled him all the way to the car in the marina lot. This is a beautiful trip with an amazing crew. We will definitely tell all our friends and book again on our next visit.

We took the 7 pm two hour tour. Gorgeous sunset pictures I will cherish forever! Pretty Fantastic experience! Highly recommend it. Take a jacket because if you like the very top deck like us, winds are strong and pretty cold up there. We took the 11 a.m. Lake Tahoe Bleu Wave cruise to Emerald Bay for our 45th Anniversary Celebration and we are so glad we chose them. We were greeted when we walked into their office, given our boarding passes and drink coupons, and told where to go to get on the boat. The boat was in tip top shape, and the crew, Captain Auggie and 1st Mate Charlie, were perfect hosts: wonderful, funny, and friendly. The narration as we cruised was very informative and interesting as well as additional information we asked about from Charlie. They had a wide variety of beers (including Sierra Nevada Pale Ale!), wine, and champagne to choose from as well soft drinks, and tasty chips and crackers to munch on as we viewed the incredible scenery. It was an intimate cruise experience, unlike the larger mega boats on the lake. We plan to take the trip again next year and highly recommend it to anyone thinking about which cruise to take on the lake. Thank you Bleu Wave for a magical and unforgettable experience!

I had book an afternoon tour and one hour before I was to report to the dock, I got a text asking me if I could do a later time OR come the next day because the boat was not full enough. I was annoyed as you are only in Tahoe once for stuff like this, I had to make alternate plans for my afternoon which was not easy. Anyhow, they must have known prior to one hour before the boat would not take off and I would have liked at least 24 hours notice. The boat was nice the staff was nice and the information we learned was useful however once on the boat.

This was my second time on this cruise and it was great! We were in town for my friends bachelorette party. Six of us boarded at 1pm and thus began our adventure. The weather was not great but the crew was very friendly and provided great service. We enjoyed being on the deck most of the time, indulging in a few cocktails made by our bartender Charlie. He makes great margaritas! Captain Augustine was informative, kind and really made our trip special with great music and personalized shout outs. Stevie was a very friendly deckhand who made sure we were always taken care of and had a great smile. Before you board this gal Sydney took our pictures and she was there to greet us upon disembarkin with copies for us; she had a great attitude. I recommend this outing for smaller or larger groups and for those who dont have much time in the area but want to get a little history and see the sights.

I wish I could say I had a wonderful experience I was hoping for but I and 6 other guests absolutely did not. We were instructed to get on the wrong boat which ended up being someones family funeral charter. When it was realized by the captain we all were on the wrong boat we were told we could take the next scenic boat. After attending a very awkward ceremony of life for someone we did not know, with a family we didnt know, and being in the sun with no seat for 2 hours, none of us were interested in this and wanted a portion of our money back. We did not receive any of the services we paid for. The management was insistent that no money would be returned as it had never happened before. Doesnt matter if it happened before, it happened now! This was entirely the fault of bleu wave for not making sure guests were on the correct boat and they should of done everything in their power to correct this. They treated us as if all 3 different families were idiots for being on the wrong boat. I am disgusted by the lack of apology and horrible customer service. I want my money back!

Was scheduled for the 4:00pm Sunset Cruise for October 15, 2022. This cruise had been scheduled months in advance. I was so disappointed that after multiple confirmations (one even the day before) the boat never arrived at the scheduled time. I came from Michigan to enjoy this cruise and once arriving in California traveled hours to get to the dock. Not knowing the cruise was cancelled we waited and waited in the designated spot for check in to no avail. Lake Tahoe Bleu Wave never contacted us to let us know they were cancelling. It seems they opted for a private cruise instead. It sure would have been great if they would have contacted us.

We were on the sunset cruise. It was 2nd week in August. There were @ 30 people on board. It was IDEAL. There was a cool breeze, and the sky was gorgeous. Our captain made sure the ride was smooth and that we had plenty of opportunities for photos especially around Emerald Island. It really is the BEST way to get a close up of the island shore and buildings on the beach without a strenuous and precarious climb from the road stops around the lake. We had a perfect group of tourists who were friendly, enjoyed the champagne without the inebriated masses. Thanks to the captain and crew who did everything they could to make the tour so enjoyable.

This is actually my second time doing this cruz. I will say that unfortunately after paying $840 for seven of us to go I was disappointed that the Snacks were a small bag of chips. Also, another family was running late and we waited for the family to board even though it specifically says to arrive 30 minutes early. As a group we did not feel that the cost of this justified the experience. The last time we did this cruz they provided deli meat, cheese, bread, grapes etc.

My dad uses a cane and was slow walking to the boat, a nice lady that works there had a wheelchair that she uses due to knee surgery. Augustine and his crew were awesome! We visited Emerald Bay state park first, then we took the Bleu Wave tour and we really enjoyed the perspective of the Vikingsholm castle from the water. The close-up view of Fannette Island was breathtaking and Augustines narraration of the history of Emerald Bay as well as Lake Tahoe was the icing on the cake. Traveled hours for a sunset cruise that we booked months in advance. I received confirmation emails and texts both 3 days and the night before the boat ride. We showed up and apparently the boat ride was never scheduled despite them sending multiple forms of confirmation. They reimbursed us immediately but did not apologize for the miscommunication or explain why this happened. My mom traveled all the way from Michigan and was so looking forward to a tour of the lake. Such a disappointment and a waste of gas driving here. Based on our experience I would not recommend this company.

The trip was great, the sights were fantastic despite the smoke which is obviously completely out of their control. My only critique would be that they should install a speaker on the top deck, it was really hard to hear the captain’s armband explanations of what we were seeing. The weather is so good here in Tahoe. other cruise is still operating. What a poor customer service!! I guess that there was very few people booking the schedule. They should post their venmo info on the ship. We live in a digital world, friends. 😉For my husband and I, this was, hands down, the highlight of our trip to Tahoe. We chose the sunset cruise, and it was a blast. The Captain (Steve, I believe) is super knowledgeable about the area and provides a ton of really interesting narration. Hes hysterical and can be caught driving the boat with his feet from time to time. But not to worry, he is a total pro...almost to the point of showing off. Throughout the cruise, he expertly gets you super close to all the best sights so you can take spectacular pictures. I get motion sickness, but it wasnt a concern. The ride is super smooth. Dont hesitate to do this cruise! Its a total blast!

This is a Must Do. Me and a group of girls went on the lunch cruise to celebrate a Birthday. We had a blast! The crew was super friendly, fun and very helpful too. They told the history of the lake and many other fun facts as well. They played great music and we even danced. It is so beautiful to look at the lake from the shore, but you need to experience its beauty from the water! It is a totally different vantage point. Lunch was good... they served two different types of pasta, bread, and salad. They had some yummy cookies for dessert. All in all, it is definitely worth doing!

What a beautiful day I had on my mini-adventure! The marina is an easy and safe place to park. There are public restrooms available. Check-in was a snap. The crew was friendly and informative! WOW WOW WOW is the only way to start this review. My wife and I reserved this boat for our wedding strictly online. The whole time with a bit of nervousness are things going to work out. Rudy was always on point and kept reassuring us it was all handled. We have to say that our expectations were way over achieved. We had 35 people on the boat, food was fantastic, staff even better and everyone had a great time. The captain kept us in this beautiful bay so no wind and people were able to go from top to bottom to enjoy the whole experience. It was really a great cruise until the last half and we heard one of the crew (Eric) talking to a group right next us & speaking how he gets groups of girls in the boat & he has to get the fat one away & so he is left with the pretty girls to talk too. I can’t say how fatphobic & disgusting it was to hear. I could not be more annoyed. His comments ruined the last half of that cruise. Be aware of what you are saying especially in a crew position.

My family had a wonderful time on the Bleu Wave 6/15/2021 for my daughters 18th birthday. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable and everyone aboard was having a nice time. I wish they had more snacks other than chips but now we know to bring our own snacks for next time. Daughter was getting hungry. :) The Yacht is beautiful and in good shape for being over 50 years old. The Captain did a great job of telling us the story of Emerald Bay. I kind of wish he had talked more on the loud speaker during the cruise.. he had a great sense of humor. We will definitely do this again on the Bleu Wave the next time we visit lake tahoe.Maybe the sunset cruise!!

If I could give Tahoe Bleu Wave 6 out of 5 stars I would. We got married on October 11th with Tahoe Bleu and everything was absolutely perfect. Laura is an incredible communicator and made the entire planning process seamless. Lacey and the crew were there to support us day of. Everything was so smooth and so much fun. The boat is pretty large, clean and was big enough for people to social distance.If you are considering having a wedding in Tahoe, I highly recommend getting married on an emerald bay cruise with Tahoe Bleu!!

Ms Dixie cancelled our dinner cruise at the last minute which I thought was rather inconsiderate. I asked my hotel what they would recommend and Bleu wave was the suggestion. They did not have dinner but I was told we would have two drinks and appetizers. Well that was not accurate. This was just a boat ride with one can of Budweiser, not exactly two drinks and an appetizer spread. The captain seemed knowledgeable and was entertaining but Im not sure this was worth the cost.

We originally booked our sunset cruise for a Tuesday but Bleu Wave had to reschedule us twice. They did notify us along the way. Once the cruise began it was wonderful! The staff was friendly and attentive and we had a wonderful time and took lots of photos and made a few new friends onboard. Due to covid-19 and so many attractions being closed down I understand their need to reschedule. I recommend calling them early in your trip just to confirm which days they feel confident they will be able to sail.

I bought the sunset cruise for my birthday! On June 11th I originally booked for Sunday evening July 11th but I was contacted the day before my booking asking to reschedule for the following day, Monday evening. So if you’re planning this, I would make sure you put it in the middle of your trip rather than the last day in case they need to reschedule last minute. I was frustrated at first but once the cruise started it made it all worth it!! The captain and mates were great and the cruise was beautiful. There was a wedding on the boat which was so cute! It only lasted about 10 minutes. I highly recommend the sunset cruise for anyone wanting a beautiful/romantic experience! The best spots to sit are the front of the boat and the very top!! Just know, it’s a sunset cruise so it starts while the sun is still up so you are driving directly towards the sun for about 10 minutes. Bring sunglasses and put sunscreen on your face! We also got two free drink tickets! Shoutouts to Captain Steve, Eric, and Dara!! Thank you for making my birthday one to remember!

Such a fun experience for my friends bachelorette party. We were running late due to Uber issues and they called to make sure we were still coming and held the boat for us, which I know they didn’t have to do. We sat up top next to Captain Keeley and she was so fun and knowledgeable! Girl power! The rest of the staff was awesome and fun to talk to as well! I’ve come to Tahoe for years and I’ve never taken a boat tour and I learned so much about the lake and parts of Tahoe that I never knew about. I would definitely recommend!

Tried to kick us (a family of 6 with two elderly family members) off the boat but luckily the captain stepped in and fixed the guys mistake. After the fact the office boy, tried to shove it in our face that we put the wrong phone number down. Hopefully others do not have an issue with this character and get to enjoy this trip for exactly what it is, a great time.

The staff was accommodating and friendly . They made everyone feel welcomed. The ride was beautiful, lovely and everything I could ever hope for when booking, BUT the things that need improvement is the check in . That was stressful . Nobody to check in people until right before boarding and all the signs were misleading . Also the boat needs painting as the bottom bow front of boat looked a bit scetchy. Also we booked a lunch and never got a lunch but they did give us a free beer, wine, champagne and a bag of chips . The Interior was beautiful and omg the restroom was soooooooo cute . I definitely would loooove to cruise with these guys again . Please bring cash to tip the crew and captain . This trip is worth the money spent. Incredible memories. Oh yeah, dress warm. It was a bit chilly when the boat got going if you didnt bring a jacket.
