This park has everything that a great city park should have. Soccer fields, kids playgrounds, pavilions for parties and lots of open spaces. The rec center is central to the park and there is a lot of parking too. The abundance of trees ensures there is lots of Shade for everyone too

Beautiful facility. The grounds are super well maintained with gardeners pretty much daily. The softball/baseball fields are in tip top shape, with shaded dugouts. Each field has its own shaded bleachers with space for handicap. There is also a super cute covered playground and indoor and outdoor basketball courts (but I didnt personally see them)I was here for a summer softball camp and the covered bleachers were perfect. I even found an open outlet so I was able to work while waiting for my child to be done with camp. Highly recommend this place for baseball/softball.

This place is great. Its a huge park. They have basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, and soccer fields. Its in a great location with easy access to the freeway but also spacious and not too loud. Great place to play all sports or just to go on a walk and relax.

This is a real nice park! And it is keep very clean! They have lots of soccer fields, lots of Baseball fields, some basketball courts, and a few trails, but if you follow the trial behind the park, Aliso Creek Trail, you can meet other trails.Great park for sports playing, lots of open space. There is people always walking in and around the park. There is also a bike jumping trail, and a bike jumping little made up city that you can get to through the park, you won’t see it unless you follow one of the park trails and look down the mountain side.Parking is plenty, and if you want to park by the Baseball fields, there are signs posted that says “Park at your own risk,” I assume that is because of a ball may fly out and hit your car, even though there are nets to capture loose balls, but I guess it is still a possibility.Great park for walking, playing, running, biking!

Great SPORTS park with many fields for baseball and soccer in excellent condition plus basketball courts and so much more. Field house for indoor activities such as dance and gymnastics. The park also had two or more childrens playgrounds that were clean and nicely equipped. There were also several covered areas that were being used for parties, Lots of parking available with handicapped access available. Covered areas near the ball fields with comfortable seating.

Good fields in general, lots of parking spots and really beautiful place. It was unlucky for our team that after 10 minutes of rain, they canceled games and tournaments, but this is something not in control. Enjoy your visit.

My first time to this sports park...coming from Chino Hills. We saw the Rolling Stones tribute band a couple weeks ago on a Friday night. What a beautiful park and beautiful area there between the 143 toll freeway and the 5. A wonderful venue with nice people (most were locals) everywhere over acres and acres.

Time flys by spending an hour or so here with my rollerblades on. Awesome views, plenty of parking, but timing is everything. Depending on the whether the soccer fields are in use, kids at the playground, baseball games happening, or a friendly game of Basketball or tennis. Plan on coming back to work on my skating, 😎

I was there for the pet expo. The parking was extremely limited, but the venue was nice. The park seemed well-kept with good facilities. There were several fields for various sports. I can see how it can get crowded on weekends.The pet expo was great. Lots of pet rescues came out as well as government organizations, Saddleback church, and pet food and other supply shops.

Great sports park. Soccer fields are well maintained with short grass. 2 big turf fields as well. Baseball fields and playgrounds are well maintained. If your headed here for a sports event, arrive a little earlier to find some good parking.

This park is just perfect for most activities including BBQ ing walking, jogging, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, basketball (including gym court). At the same time its design lets you go from side to side with just a short walk. The city provides several youth programs as well with a dedicated staff. Is always very clean, lighted until closing time at 10 pm. Love this park!

Really nice ballpark. Fields look immaculate, a nice centrally located concession stand. Needs a bit more shade as the coverings looks like they were just thrown up with temporary tarps. All in all, very nice!

The sports park is huge, which makes it great for walking. There are several sports (baseball/softball and soccer) fields, which are always busy. Most of my familys time is spent at one of the 2 playgrounds, which are fun. They are foam with only a few areas of wood chips, which makes them more toddler friendly. One of the playground areas is also split into big kids and little kids, and the swings are even separated -- not all kids/families notice that separation, so dont be surprised when there are older kids in the little side! The biggest downside is limited parking access per section of the complex -- its usually busy, even mid-week. Also, bathrooms are not as readily available as you would like as a parent as theyre not adjacent to the playgrounds (theyre in the sports field area). There are nice picnic shelters and ample bench seating. Its also very dog-friendly.

Such a great sports park! So much to do with the family. For those that like resistance training, they have public workout machines along a paved running track that encircles the soccer fields. On Wednesday evenings they also have a farmers market with local growers.

A family-friendly place with lots of open space. The park itself is very clean and well taken care of. I dont know how new it is, but everything looked pristine and there wasnt trash anywhere. I played soccer with a Meetup group on the turf fields and it was great! Everyone was respectful and the matches were competitive. Ill say this. Every single field was in use, so of you like soccer, Thursday afternoon is soccer heaven at this park. The kids area was of good size but not huge, but it was very clean and kept. I also did see a family celebrating under one of the gazebos. Cheers!

Came to park today and there was a NCS sponsored baseball Tournament no postings that a $10 fee per person 🙄 at a public park.We pay taxes to have public park if the City of Lake Forest agreed to this shame on them.

My brother took my toddler and I here to have play time. Wow I wish they had a park like this when I was little. It is possibly the cleanest park I have ever been to. Extremely well manicured and cared for. My brother told me that the guy that used to manage the skate park my nephew used to go to now manages this park. Great job!!!!! It was truly relaxing and beautiful. The parking was easy and plenty of spaces. It was easy to get to. They left no stone unturned with this park it had everything. The kids play areas were wonderful and many. The only thing I couldnt seem to find was a drinking fountain to fill my water bottle but I am sure I just didnt see it.

Went to play soccer at this park for the first time and it had convenient parking close to the soccer fields. Synthetic grass on a full sized field that can get pretty hot during the sunlight hours and has a certain rubbery smell to it but is not slippery and has a pretty soft running surface. It also has regular grass soccer fields with adjustable nets that can be used for more than just soccer. Also, no food of drinks on synthetic field but has plenty of shady seating where you can leave your sealed beverage bottles as well.

This is a really nice park. My daughter played a club soccer tournament here. They have well shaded seating (byoc - bring your own chair) which makes the inland great more bearable. The field are well maintained and the bathrooms are kept clean.

I took my 4 and 2 year old grandchildren to their childrens play area. When we arrived there were lots of little kids playing soccer. The childrens area had many little ones enjoying all kinds of equipment. The park is exceptionally clean, the plants and lawns are obviously well-cared for, and there is a very clean and convenient restroom in the rec center. There is alot of parking so you might want to drive around for a minute to see where you really want to park, rather than take the first spot and hike to a different area of the park. The city has really out done itself with this wonderful facility.

This sports park has nice softball fields. They also have covers over their stands which are nice. The playground is a good one for kids and is covered too. The only downside if there is one is that the covers they have on the dugouts for the sun dont allow for the breeze to get through. So it can get really hot in there.

This park is huge! There are 5 baseball diamonds, 1 indoor basketball court, 2 outdoor courts, 2 full size soccer pitches, and w large flat grass areas. The landscaping around the perimeter is very well done. Its a great place to walk as well as play. Plentiful parking too.

Favorite park in OC! They have two different parks, one is completely shaded and another that is partially shaded. Bathrooms are in the center and kept clean. I have a 9yo and 7yo and we have been coming here since the park was built. My kids love this park the most out of others they have been to. There are also tons of soccer fields with shaded bleachers, cement trail surrounding the whole park (making it easy to ride your bike or skate board), basketball courts, shaded picnic areas too with charcoal grills, and lots of benches and tables to sit and watch your munchkins on. Theyve thought of everything with this place!

This goes without saying but if u havent had an opportunity to check this Sports Park out yet I have to ask what are u waiting for? No need to continue exploring other options and reading reviews you have found the holy grail of Sports parks...no expense was spared during the construction of this beautifully landscaped, handicapped accessible throughout the park not just for parking so make sure to invite Grandma and Grandpa to the sporting event because their comfort was considered during the construction of such a well planned and modern community attraction that will without a doubt hold its own for years to come. There is something for everyone here and the design and layout is so open and easily accessible from multiple entry and exits that even at a full capacity I have little doubt anyone would really notice . I mean I just cant say enough about this park and how wonderfully this space was utilized. There is even a trail that overlooks the entire park as well as Saddleback Mountain range and the surrounding cities. The view is breathtaking early in the say day as well as sundown....

This park is now one of my favorites for baseball. My grandsons play travel ball and this was my 1st time here. Its clean, has shaded bleachers and is easy in & out. Only reason I didnt give 5 🌟? Is on the hottest weekend on record (105 @ 5pm) the snack bar wasnt open. I talked with locals and they said it was never or rarely opened.

This is a very cool place. Me and my friends come here on Sundays to play basket ball. There is a $5 charge if youre not a resident of Lake Forest or if you dont work in Lake Forest. Your first time you will also be required to fill out waivers. Overall theres some great competition in the indoor courts with lots of regular players and they have people that are dedicated to organizing games with sign up sheets. Its a great place and tons of fun.

Great park for catching Pokemon. I think there were 4 Gyms, and at least 12 stops in the park. There are also, plenty of clean bathrooms, very important for an afternoon of Pokemon catching. Oh, theres also a ton of sports fields for soccer, baseball and basketball. A great playground to the little ones. Gotta catch em all!

I come here on Sundays for adult league soccer games. There are a couple great turf fields, a kids jungle gym, covered seating, grass fields, etc. Its got it all. Parking is copious and free. Theres public restrooms that, while not the most clean, work as youd expect (its a public park, what do you expect?)

This is a top notch park. I have two toddlers and there are plenty of things for both of them to do. The big plastic merry go round is a huge hit every time we are here. We also have donated to/and borrowed from the little out door birdhouse library (It looks kind of like a large birdhouse).The community center there is great as well. We have taken quite a few parent+me classes and my kiddos always have a lot of fun and its a VERY good price.

I honestly thought this park was a great idea when I first heard of it. I have been here a couple of times to see friends play games and always had great time. The park itself is enormous. Which is one of the reason I thought it was a great idea for the city of Lake Forest. I grew up in Lake Forest and would have loved having this park to play in as a kid.I decided to go to this park and spend some quality time with the family the other day only to discover that it creation has ulterior motives, poised to generate income off of non profit organizations at the expense of the community enjoyment. Its basically a park for people with money. Its disgusting to see the city of Lake Forest give in the greed.My family and I arrived and setup at the pavilions that are located at the park. Once we got there we quickly realized that all the tables had been reserved from 3-9pm. I thought that it was a little ridiculous that the tables could be reserved for that amount of time. We decided to setup and eat since there was no one occupying the tables at the time. We cooked some meet on the grill and ate with the anticipation of being told to move because the tables had been reserved. After we had all finished eating we all decided to play on the field located next to the pavilions.People began to arrive and and started occupying the tables that had been reserved.As we were playing and enjoying ourself a guy came up to us and warned us that we only had about 15 more minutes to to play on the field since they had reserved the entire filed and we could no longer play. I have never in my life been so disappointed with the area that I lived in until that day. Out of disbelief I told the guy that there was no way that they had reserved the entire field and that we would not be moving, so we just decided to keep playing.After about five minutes that same guy arrived in a golf cart with a park employee in which she explained to us that the entire area was reserved, and we wanted to make reservation we could, but would have to be a non profit with a party of fifty or more. At that time we decided to grab all our things and leave the park.I could not believe that someone so simple like spending time in a park was no longer possible. I cant help but think that this park was not created for the community but rather for people with money to generate money. I will never step foot into this park and the city of Lake Forest should be embarrassed that they partake in something like this.

Must say for such a new park the trees are very mature. Excellent outdoor basketball courts, some of the best synthetic and natural grass pitches in OC. Batting cages are amazing along with the hiking trails.

Has to be one of the most comprehensive parks of its kind in the entire USA. Full-size soccer fields with seating for over a hundred, 4 or 5 baseball diamonds, each equipped with walls, netting, bullpens, dugouts and seating, and multiple playgrounds. Lots of grass to run around. Public library take-a-book boxes. Full court outdoor basketball, 3 or 4 next to one another. Has an indoor rec center including a basketball gym thats open to Lake Forest residents. Centered in the middle of residential and commercial area, next to toll road and a police station.

Nice place for scheduled baseball games with good facilities, the gem though is the kids playgrounds. One large playground for both older and younger kids near the main building and one smaller one further down the facility between two of the baseball diamonds. Great complex, has everything one needs. I play soccer and around this time our main field at Heroes Park closes fpr maintenance. In the past weve played on the turf fields but any soccer player can tell they prefer natural grass. This year fortunately theres a small grass section thats first come first serve, so weve beem there for the past few weeks. Its good grass as well.

I went here for my friends sons 5 y/o Bday party. Luckily he reserved a canopy spot because it was smoking outside!This place is ridiculously big with higher end everything. Multiple soccer fields with turf grass, multiple baseball fields with real grass, multiple basketball courts with no grass, and party of jungle gyms (for toddlers and older children) with foam turf.There is plenty of space for the kids to run around and the environment is safe where you dont have to Hawkeye your child and let them run free for a bit.There is an indoor facility that houses the bathrooms and dually provides AIR CONDITIONING from the heat. Everything is up kept really well here and it shows. I will think about coming when the kiddos come along.

Massive, impeccably maintained sports park with professional size soccer fields, baseball fields, basketball courts and walking fields, not to mention a super fun huge playground for kids, tons of private picnic and barbeque gazebos for birthdays, and social gatherings. Theres a community center as well, they have a weekly farmers market, and tons of free parking and clean restrooms. I dont play any sports here, but I do bring my fur baby to walk here every night after the heat has cooled down because it is SO WELL LIT at night (they stay FULL LIT until 10pm!!!), theres always so many people playing sports and having fun every night of the week, its bright as day light which is AWESOME when youre a female with a wittle fur baby. I have never, ever witnessed any suspicious or shady activity here which is a rarity in this day and age, and believe you me, I keep a vigilant eye out for un-savory people! I lived in the Bay area and out of state for 13 years before coming back home to South OC and I gotta say, NO ONE maintains parks like the South OC, and this sports park is the BEST, in my humble opinion in the whole state of California! Highly recommended.

Lake Forest has a true gem of a park I like going with my kids and walking around or enjoy the kids playground. The only thing I dont like is that bicycles share the walk space with people that are walking I think they should make a separate bike lane.

A beautiful park with a lot of variety for all your sports needs. Only thing missing is a swimming pool but soccer, football, basketball, and I believe tennis is all covered. I may be missing some of the facilities so you have to experience it for yourself.

Last night I went to the astronomy night. It was amazing! They had a ton of crafts, photo booths and science activities! They also had a mobile observatory! I couldnt believe how long the line was. There were about a dozen other telescopes set up.We spent most of our time with the crafts.There were several Girl and Boy scout troops there of all ages!The astronomy night was out of this world!

I like this place but in the afterschool program teen lounge. On my brothers birthday, on 3/11/19, a teen lounge leader JP was grabbing my arm and was yelling at me and he was having no empathy for my feelings and he told me I know better but I still dont know better. I dont want to be friends with JP anymore. Ill forgive him and me and JP are friends.

Big shiny park with lots of baseball diamonds and a rec center. Theres also soccer fields and a basketball court along with two playgrounds for the kids. Its well maintained (well its new). Pokemon can also be found here. Although it doesnt have a lot of pokestops, Ive found some nice pokemon here including a Snorlax.
