I bought a brand new dust collector and it was broken out of the box. Customer service determined it was a faulty motor and setup to have a replacement motor sent to me.Its been over a month now and they tell me the item is still on back order. I told them that they need to replace the whole dust collector then if they cant get the part for it.You will end up wasting your money if you buy with this company.

Ordered a band saw blade yet received no shipping confirmation a week later so I decided to call customer service. After 20+ calls that went to voicemail someone unenthusiastically picked up the phone! They informed me the order had not been fulfilled yet hence not been shipped. So... I asked to cancel the order. I was informed there would be a 25% restocking fee even though the item hadnt even been picked! So I guess Ill wait and see if it turns up and if not $150 out the window! I have to say Im very disappointed and wont be buying anything from this company again. WARNING buy at your own risk!

My entire shop would have been Laguna if only they offered military discount. Laguna has excellent customer support and I use their resaw blade for my bandsaw. 30% price difference with other competitors makes it impossible to justify going all Laguna.

Buyer Beware! A warranty is only as good as the company behind it and this company does not stand behind their warranty. I purchased an F2 from their outlet where they explicitly state a 6 month warranty. Product arrived with a defect in the right extension. Instead of simply replacing the extension they stated that that my issue was not covered. If this is how they treat a direct customer I can only imagine how they treat a customer through their resellers. Based on other reviews not good.

Ive opened 3 tickets. All have been closed without as much as an email or call to me. Only ever got to talk to one person and that was because there was an error and he was calling me about someone elses ticket! When I tell you I have an intermittent problem that destroys a $200 bit and more and more fence material every time it happens (once every 400 to 500 times on a machine) and your responce is send us a video and open a new ticket. I may have only spent $15k with you, but I can promise, No one I know, nor myself will spend a penny with you ever again.

Worst machines/customer support out there. You’ll be better off buying a onsrud or Northwood if you’re in production. Or a shapeko for a hobby machine at the house. The Techs don’t know anything half the time and customer support never answers. In delta with cnc machines for 12 years by far the worst company I have delt with.

Absolutely wonderful tools. I love my Revo 15/24 Lathe. However, customer service is extremely poor [no luck reaching a live person to be able to purchase and replace a broken tailstock handwheel], such that I would not advise purchasing additional items from the company again.

Beaware of this company. You will regret it very soon. I placed an order for a new laser cutter and orbital sander. The sander never came with my order and they claimed that they made a mistake and shipped the item incomplete. Once we unpacked the unit, we get a item that is damaged and clearly used in a very bad shape. I called and try to find out what is going on and they offered me 6 months extended warranty at the best. The unit did not come with a user manual or software or any sort of guide. After making attempt to get a hold of software for over a week, I still do not have anything to use or operate the machine. Calling the customer service department and complaining has no result. I asked to have the item returned back to them for a refund and now they are telling me that I have to pay 25% restocking fee and cover shipping charges on an item that is 1. clearly used and not new, 2. Does not have any user manual and software, 3. incomplete order with no support or service what so ever. 4. terrible rude and unprofessional support staff (Adam and the lady who pickup the phone are nice but god forbid you have to talk to the other witch who is apparently return manager). I bought this item from them thinking I will be getting support so I can have my business running smoothly. I was wrong. Me and my staff have spent more time chasing them down for a user manual than I would had I been dealing with some Chinese seller off Alibaba. Absolutely terrible experience and customer service. Stay away from this company. Read the reviews. You have been warned. Just take a look at the pictures of the new unit that they promised and charged me an arm and leg for.

I was in search of a dust collector unit for my shop when i discovered the CFLUX 3 after hours and hours of research. After assembly i had some minor issues with the circuit board and the on switch, i contacted Laguna tools after registering my tool and was immediately contacted back. I could not be happier with the timely response to these issues within a week i had both replacement parts and have the machine running at full capacity. Ive had an excellent experience working with Laguna Customer Service, and Brian Diaz in particular. I had read several negative reviews earlier and was worried, but I had the opposite experience when I had an issue with my new bandsaw table top. Brian walked me through how to adjust it, but when none of the adjustments fixed the issue, he ordered a new table top to be sent to me. Brians support has made Laguna my first choice when I decide to upgrade my next tool. Also of note is that Tabitha Austin of the South Carolina office was very helpful in getting the process started with the technical support when my contact information got messed up. The whole experience was just a lot better than I expected.

Purchased a 20 planer. It came with a button missing on the wixey gauge that will reveal precise depth. It was and remains inoperable, the gauge, not the machine. First, the button was likely missing when it shipped. It sure did not come out the way it was packaged. It should have been picked up on Lagunas end although if the worst mistake I make to day is comparable it will be a good day. Second, I was told they would replace the gauge when they got one. Well, it has been almost 4 months and no gauge. I have tried to email twice to even find out if the gauge is available elsewhere. No replies.I do like the planer although it did not come calibrated well. Happens, although it is the first time for me. All in all, I wont likely get another Laguna tool. Generally speaking, I value customer service more than most.Since writing the original review I contacted Marcos after the reply below. He did find out the issue and when the gauge would arrive, December. He was gracious and helpful. I then contacted Wixey. Wixey has the guage in stock albeit with a few pieces Laguna does not use. Laguna has their own mounting bracket, for example. Im sure what I paid for is more than what Laguna gets from Wixey. I have lived without a digital planer gauge for 20 years so I suppose it is not a big deal. I also think it is a little cheap to not simple get what is available from Wixey rather than have me wait 7 months. I down graded my review to 2 stars but perhaps my expectations are unreasonable. You decide.All in all I am disgusted when an issue gets resolved only when a public complaint is made after going through the proper channels. I tend to think that was not the case here as most reviews here seem to praise Laguna Customer service. My experience, however, was otherwise.

I recently had an issue with my table saw and Laguna tools was AMAZING about it. They were extremely helpful and actually replaced the part needed with no issues or trouble. Julian and Richard were so helpful and honestly the best costumer service I have ever received. If I could give more stars, I would. I recommend them to anyone looking at Laguna... the customer service is the best I have encountered. Also, the table saw works super well and every product of theirs has been super reliable besides this one instance.

Great experience with Laguna customer service......I recently had a power issue with my brand new Laguna 18bx bandsaw. I contacted Laguna via phone and spoke with Braden, a service tech. Braden was extremely helpful. He walked me through a series of troubleshooting procedures over about a half hour and ultimately determined my power switch was faulty. He apologized on behalf of Laguna and ordered a new switch for me. He also offered me a new blade of my choice as a sorry you had to experience any down time with you new saw gesture.I was a little frustrated with having a brand new saw that didnt work but Laguna and Braden were top notch in resolving the issue. Its refreshing to see a company do business the right way. I will continue to purchase Laguna products for their quality and more importantly their customer service.Fred K.

Im beginning to think I made a mistake purchasing Laguna CNC equipment. Their customer support has all but vanished. My machine has been down for over a week, purchased another $2,000 part to get it going and Ive received nothing but the run around with this company. I just wanted to take a minute to talk about my experience with Lagunas customer service dept (Brian Diaz - Rep). I purchased a C Flux2 and had an issue, which Im happy to say was addressed promptly and professionally. I later on had questions about choosing the proper band saw blades for my uses. Again I got Brian and he spent quite a bit of time helping me. After the untimely demise of the spindle on my Laguna Swift MT machine, I contacted Laguna to assess my options for either repairing the spindle or ordering a new one. I spoke with Josh Buscaino who was immediately very friendly and helpful in pointing me in the right direction for a potential repair solution that would have saved me thousands of dollars, despite my machine being 2 years out of warranty. After the repair avenue was less than successful, Josh continued to be quick to respond to any questions I had along the rest of the process and was an indispensable resource in my quest for a solution to get my very busy machine back up and running. I have had my fair share of not-so-amazing experiences with Laguna customer service, so big kudos to Josh for setting an example of how customer service should be done!

I contacted Laguna with regards to the Re-Saw King bandsaw blade that I had purchased from them. It had a tremendous amount of drift that I could not correct no matter how I set the saw up. I have been using The Laguna SmartShop II for a couple of years but occasionally I run into a snag I cant figure out myself. I know when I call Laguna for tech support I will get my issue resolved and be provided with information that will help me in the future. I spoke with Tyler Tobey about an Alarm code that I encountered and he walked me through everything I needed to do to get through my program successfully. He really knew what he was talking about and knew exactly what I was dealing with and handled my issue promptly, respectfully, and professionally. I purchased a 1412 bandsaw about a year ago and Ive always had a little trouble getting it dialed in, so I finally reached out to Laguna to see if I needed to replace some parts and what not. This was the first real bandsaw I had purchased, and I really didnt have a lot of experience with them, so I needed a lot of help.I wrote an email asking a bunch of simple questions, and Travis Day was the rep that responded. I own a Laguna Revo 24-36. This lathe is powerful, with good finishing, is running smoothly and needed no adjustment out of the box. Few weeks ago it had a minor issue, so Ive contacted the Laguna customer service (guy names Braden). The service provided was quick and efficient, and everything was set up properly in no time. More recently, I needed some more assistance to fix a damage made by me by improper use of a tool, and again their feedback was quick and efficient. I recently purchased a 20 year old 18” Laguna bandsaw from Craigslist. The previous owner had nothing but praise for the saw the saw and the only negatives I found online about Laguna concerned stories of less than stellar customer service . I called Brian in Laguna customer service and within several minutes he had emailed me a copy of the owners manual and offered me a generous discount on a mobility kit. I called back late this afternoon to order the wheel kit and was promised that it will ship tomorrow. If there have been problems in the past with customer service, my experience with Brian suggests that things may have changed for the better.

I sell Laguna tools as a distributor and I recently had a great experience. My customer bought a cnc and was having some issues. This is not the most expensive machine Laguna sells by any means, but Adam Ring recognized the value in top notch service, and flew a tech out to my customer for a two day training and set up, absolutely free. I had a slight issue with my table being out of level; Morgan and Julian were incredibly helpful in assisting me with troubleshooting, and ultimately replacing the parts that were defective. I purchased a Laguna 14 in band saw for our cabinet shop. Unfortunately one of the workers drove a forklift into the table and damaged the trunnion. The first trunnion unit was sent out by Laguna and was damaged in shipping. This was a time critical shipment as I was using the machine for a current job. I called Laguna and told them the situation. The customer service manager Adam Ring jumped in and saved the day, he personally pulled the parts and overnighted them to me. I couldnt be happier with the customer service at Laguna tools. And thanks to Adam Ring I didnt miss a Beat. The bandsaw is up and running and works beautifully. Laguna tools makes a very high-quality product at a good price point. I will be looking to them in the future for additional machines.

Cant say enough about the SmartShop EX 150 Laser that we recently purchased. Lasers can be a little finicky. The machine is great, but the phone support we got from Braden today was far and away the best that Ive ever had. Braden was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. Walked me through a lens alignment today and explained it in a way that made sense!Laguna is a great company with great products, but what makes the difference with lasers (after having owned a few) is the customer service. If it were possible I would leave a 10 star review. Brian Diaz is awesome. I called over a week ago with a question but wasnt able to get to the phone so he left a message. A week went by and I hadnt had a chance to call him back and to my amazement HE CALLED ME BACK and said that he wanted to know if I still needed help! I have never had a customer service rep call me back like that. He gave me very good info regarding the issue I was having regarding a broken blade and even told me how to inspect the blade to determine the cause of the brake. This is the second time I have called Laguna with a question and they were always able to provide excellent service. PS- I LOVE MY 1412.

I called their 800 number to get a part for my saw (User error caused my height adjuster to strip out). Jesse worked with me, to find me the replacement parts (only $23). I was concerned it would be in the hundreds! He emailed and called me back as promised. Its always a great experience when you work with Laguna Tools who consistently go above and beyond normal customer service. I recently had my Resaw King bandsaw blade break and worked with Morgan Helshoj on the problem. He not only sent me a free replacement blade, but followed up and spent about an hour with me to ensure my bandsaw was set up correctly to prevent another potential breakage. I couldnt be happier with Lagunas customer service on this issue!I have a Laguna 1836 lathe. Through my own fault, I managed to crush some of the threads on the spindle. I wasnt sure how much a new spindle would cost, so I called Laguna and spoke to Brian Diaz. He suggested several options, and offered to send me a new spindle assembly under warranty!He didnt have to do this, but in my book, this is an example of how customer service should be. A company that stands behind their products is a company that I will probably buy from again.

Completely blown away by the customer service I received from the staff at Laguna Tools. The best part is, I wasn’t even seeking their help when I received it haha. I posted on my Instagram that I was having trouble and tinkering with some parts on my cflux dust collector and that same day Laguna tools reached out to see what the issue was. I told them what I had been having trouble with my on off switch and remote for a couple years now but I have just been dealing with it. After speaking with them through Instagram I got an email from the customer service manager. Within 2 days I had the parts to fix my machine. I haven’t installed them yet but I plan to do that today. Very happy with how much the team went out of their way to resolve my issue, without me even asking them too. Amazing job guys. Oh, and the tools are pretty awesome too!!

The 14 by 14, 3 Horse, 240V band saw has been fantastic. I have been using it for about 5 years. No problems at all. About 2 years ago I purchased the Resaw king carbide blade. It works wonderfully, I resaw 1 1/4 oak into 1/2 or 1/4 boards at various thicknesses. Recently, i jammed the blade cutting a 10 log. My own fault; the log rolled on me. I called Laguna Tools and Anthony-Y was my contact person. He stepped me through the process of mailing my blade in and seeing that i was taken care of. I reached out to Adam Ring, Lagunas Customer Service Manager. Adam worked through all of the issues professionally and expeditiously. Adam was very professional. His customer service skill and efforts is what kept me as a Laguna customer, rather than getting a refund. Adam championed getting every concession I requested from Laguna to make the situation right. Awesome product support! Ive bought several pieces of equipment from Laguna, most recently their 16 planer with sheartec cutters. I had a few issues regarding setup, and some minor glitches on a few parts. Lagunas customer service has acted swiftly and efficiently, patiently explaining where I went wrong, and replacing parts if any question exists. I particularly like their method of addressing call-in customer service: they record any issues you have encountered, then pass the information on to a specialist, who will already have a solution by the time they get back to you--and they do so promptly. Anyone who has worked with this kind of equipment knows that it is complex, and that customer service is a primary consideration when you select which brand to purchase. Lagunas product support is outstanding--the best I have ever encountered in my 40 years of woodworking.

I have a Laguna 14-12 Bandsaw that I bought from Rockler in Boston. The Laguna was suggested by the Manager with a lot of Reasons. Boy was he right. BUT THEN, after about a year I had to contact Laguna (Irvine) about a problem that had me stopped. I am writing this review to express my thanks to Jesse, who handled my problem like a real pro. I thought it was too small to bother but he took it on without flinching and helped me. Jesse is reason enough to buy a Laguna product. Thanks Jesse and Laguna and Rockler.

My recent purchase of resaw king blade arrived with an issue of an aggressive inward drift that could not be corrected.. I have several Laguna products in my cabinet shop including a 5hp shaper, edge sander, dust collector and a Smartshop 2 CNC. All the tools have served me well but when the occasional problem occurs it is quickly addressed and resolved by tech support. My phone calls have always been returned promptly and any parts Ive ever needed have been shipped out same day. Techs are great at explaining what we are doing while trouble shooting and always make sure the problem is fixed and I am happy before hanging up the phone. Laguna has even covered things on my CNC even after explaining that it was operator error. Yes, these are imported tools, but they are of much, much better quality than the other brand (I own some of them as well). A machine is only as good as the people standing behind it and Laguna gets an A+!

Have the 14 12 Bandsaw and it is a great machine. I have been having trouble keeping the fence square to the table when securing position to rail the fence has been racking to the left. I played with it for quite awhile, and finally called customer service. I left a voicemail for a young man named Braden, he called me back within an hour, we went through the issue, and he reminded me I was out of warranty, but he would see what he could do about having a whole new assembly sent. A few hours later I received an email from Braden indicating the entire assembly was being shipped at no cost. This was fantastic service. I recently bought a Supermax (now owned by Laguna) 16-32 Drum Sander, I feel a lot better knowing there is excellent customer service standing behind their products.

I called in a issue with my Smartshop II, I was able to talked to a representative and left my information and the problem we are having with the machine. We purchased a smartshop II 6 months ago for about $65000. It worked great until about a week ago, it has problems with the spindle not spinning at certain time. They created a ticket and was told the next available technician would reach out. I had a missed call from a technician called Angel in the afternoon, i tried calling back immediately but was not able to get a hold of him. In the meantime while i am leaving a message he is emailing me. I must have called his extension about eight times but he would not answer the phone....yet i am getting emails from him. I called again this morning but again no answer....My machine is down for the second day now and it is costing me money...I chose Laguna because they had great reviews....guess that does not apply here

I’ve recently purchased a new1412 bandsaw along with the 1/2” 3tpi proforce blade from Laguna . I was having an issue with drift, after contacting Jacob at Laguna in California. He suggested making some miner adjustments on the fence to correct the drift issue . After a few adjustments there was still an issue with drift . Leaving a message for Jacob he immediately return my call the following morning . Together we concluded a full faulty blade . He has now sent me a replacement blade . After waiting six months for my machine after we put down a deposit our laser arrived with fried electronics boards. It took two weeks to get the part. They originally tried selling me a machine which was not the one I ordered. That should have been the first red flag. After the machine shows up, with no manual, they then tell me I have to pay a third party $500 to install it. Also my machine had damaged rails and they replaced them is sub standard parts. When I finally got the machine up and running their tech guy misaligned my beam and cracked the lens. When I would reach out to them for help they would refer to me a third party tech. The machine does yield the results of the samples they showed me and I suffer a 25% restocking fee plus shipping and minus any wear and tear. I wanted a local tool company with tools Made In America but what I got a crummy Chinese laser. Anybody want to buy a laser?

After having a very difficult time with the motor on my 14bx, one wrong motor and two motors being damaged in transit . I ended up at the desk of Adam ring, he made no excuses and told me it was going to be fixed . He personally made sure the right motor was pulled and that it was shipped inside another box with extra padding so it would arrive in good condition . Adam also sent me 2 resaw king blades as an apology for the trouble I had with my bandsaw . I emailed him a thank you for the blades and explained what a blessing this whole problem had become . My family survives on single income and him giving me 2 high end blades floored me, he then offered to send me a couple of lagunas other blades to try out . I ordered a Laguna bandsaw from a Laguna authorized dealer who drop shipped directly from Laguna. Unfortunately UPS Freight was unable to deliver to my home because they do not have box trucks in my area and I live near a cul-de-sac at the end of a narrow road. Faced only with the option of returning the bandsaw, Rachel at Laguna took the bull by the horns and made alternate arrangements through a third party shipper. For anybody reading about bad customer service at Laguna Tools, I can assure you those days are over. I have recently made two requests for obscure replacement parts, the first request was handled immediately as they had the part in stock. I received the part within 2 days. The second request was for a part not clearly identified in my manual. Upon contacting customer service (Alex Alquisira) I was provided an updated manual with better schematics. I identified the parts I needed and Alex immediately took care of getting everything processed. I dont usually write reviews but I could not stay quiet about my experience. After much research I purchased a Laguna 1836 wood lathe. I was hesitant after reading bad reviews about customer service but really felt it was the best product for what I was searching for. All was a dream until after just a couple of weeks the product was defective. I called the company and spoke with Alex Alquisira. He was very helpful in walking me through trying to fix the problem. After trouble shooting the problem he apologized and said that a portion of the lathe would need to be replaced. I wanted to use it to make Christmas presents. He offered to trade it out if I would drive to Irvine to do the swap. He apologized for the trouble. I drove up to the company headquarters and he met me at the door. He gave me a tour of the showroom and even took the time to educate me on some of the products. His down to earth attitude and sincere desire to make me happy with the product was evident. He was personal, professional and polite. I run a medical practice and am in charge of hiring employees. I would gladly offer Alex a job. People with his work ethic and interpersonal skills are a huge asset to any company. Today I went to Laguna Tools in search of parts to get an old bandsaw up and running. I was a little worried going in that they might not have the parts I needed, or know what parts I was talking about due to the age of the saw. Upon walking in I was greeted by Adam Ring, the Customer Service Manager. With a few pictures of what I was working with and what my goals were for the saw he was of and running to get me taken care of. He immediately took me back to the office and started to look for the items he had in stock. What I liked the most is that anything he could not figure out he had his team there that was also more then happy to help out. I have the Laguna 14/12 bandsaw with the mobility kit. After a while the mobility kit lever started to tighten up and I attempted to raise it using so much force the foot lever actually bent. I called Jesse who understood immediately when I was talking about said no problem we can send you out the necessary part.Understand this tool is at least three years old and I probably tightened up the raising and lowering mechanism to tight and it simply continued to tighten with use. Worst Costumer service ever!Say that their machines are Italian but in reality they have Chinese parts.Had an honest technician tell me he hears all this lies fromLaguna tool costumers a lot!Bought a 18k machine from them with a one year warranty.Within a few days, less than a week the machine started to act up requested a technician. And was told that I would be charge $125 from the moment they left the store. My shop is about 2 hrs away so I would have to pay $500 up front, so they can just come and check the machine. We purchased a CBX 3652 Fiber laser cutting machine 1000 watt From Laguna Tool. This fiber optic laser is awesome. Does a great job cutting Steel, Alum. & Stainless steel. We are more than happy with this machine. It took us a few weeks to iron out all the bugs, But we had Adam Chapman there the whole way. Adam was always available to answer any questions we had. Whenever we needed tech support we would contact Adam and he would get back to us right away. Even with a 3 hour time difference, Adam always got right back to us. Adam was also able to write a program for us, so we could cut the Metal slats for the bed of the laser. Lathe lasted less then a year. Severe vibration between 1200 - 1800 rpm. The service dept was next to useless. No advice and just sent me instructions on how to replace the bearings(which i paid out of pocket for). Eventually i fought with them enough that they sent a new shaft, which was damaged when it arrived. I now have a 2500 dollar boat anchor. Still under warranty but company is offering no help.I was considering buying a wide belt sander from them, but after this experience will never buy another laguna product again. I purchased a 12X86 laguna jointer. I have been in the woodworking industry as an owner for over 40 years. A jointer is one of the simplest machines in my shop. Reading the manual a section titled Adjusting the infeed table height, I thought I knew how to do this however the manual has some suspect instruction (basically the manual has me unbolting the jointer from the base, turning it over and...). There is also a knob in question. So I called Laguna. Very difficult to contact tech support however when I reached someone (not in tech support) who would try to help me I got sarcasm and the wrong information. All successive calls have ended in voice mail. I received the machine on Tuesday and this is Friday afternoon and I still do not have my questions answered. Very frustrating. I will not buy another Laguna tool.

I have been looking for an 18 bandsaw for a couple years trying to decide on what to purchase. During that time I have read some negative comments on Lagunas service. Recently I purchase locally a used Italian made LT18 that is 22 years old. It needed some repair work and I contacted them to see if they might have a solution and over the course of multiple phone calls and talking to several people who tried very hard to help me out it wast looking like I was going to find my part solution. About 5 minutes after hanging up at the end of the day Adam Chapman called me. He asked me to explain what problem I was trying to solve and after explaining my situation he asked if he could put me on hold for a few minutes. Two to three minutes later he came back to his phone and said he verified that he could supply the parts that were made for a LT16HD and they would fit on my old LT18. I cant express my gratitude to the three people I had talked to throughout the day and Adams effort on going the extra mile to solve my issue. The parts shipped today. In a couple of months I will be buying an aftermarket fence and based on this experience I will be buying my fence replacement from Laguna.

Update: after a ton of back and forth with Laguna and eventually contacting their CEO directly my problems were finally fixed. Very long story short I was sold a one off prototype that should have never been sold. Laguna did make things right and traded out my machine for a tested machine and it has worked flawlessly. My nightmare is finally over and I love my new IQ pro!I will never buy another tool from Laguna ever again. We have an IQ Pro CNC machine that has caused constant problems from the beginning. The issues are to numerous to list.We had a bearing go out on our machine on November 20th. So I called up to order a new bearing. Its now December 20th and we still dont have what should be a simple in stock part. Nothing like having your CNC machine down during the busiest time of the year. This CNC machine costs me $30k in lost business being down for the entire month. Will probably be more as Ive lost quite a few customers due to this unnecessary down time.Ill never buy another Laguna tool ever again.

I recently purchased a 4x8 CNC Laguna Swift from them. The price was good, the machine is great, but the process left me frustrated so far. The machine arrived without notice( which was supposed to be 24 hr ahead since it needs a forklift for unloading)... but we managed... the machine was wired for 3 phase eventhough I ordered it as single phase.... but we managed...parts where missing(like the dustshroud, USB stick) and also the correct collets for the router bits.... so we can still not use it. I called customer service to have the missing parts sent so I hope they will overnight them, so we can get thw machine running and produce.....salesrep called this morning and they are overnighting the missing parts👍🏻

Ordered a CNC machine in 2017 from you for one of our schools. Only 2 years old and have had problems with not working correctly for more than a year now. Communication from Laguna has been, at best, minimal. One call in particular comes to mind which took place around Thanksgiving where teacher asked Josh if someone could come out to find the solution to this piece of equipments inability to operate correctly. He stated they normally dont send someone out to work on smaller systems (we paid $9,000.00, mind you) and he would have to ask his manager. In an effort to fix this machine, teacher ordered his own parts through Amazon trying to find a solution to this problem. This is May 2019 and our issue is still unresolved. We have bought two different CNC machines from them the first one worked good for a year, but we make ACM panels and decided to buy their machine made for ACM the CF 16 which was $110,000.00. About a month out of our 1 year warranty we began getting chatter on our cuts and they sent someone out to try and diagnose the issue. After 2 days and a $2750.00 Labor charge (because we were a month out of warranty) he still did not fix the issue. They then had me troubleshoot the issue and only after I Found the broken gear box did they send someone out to replace it. our machine was down for a month during this time. Fast forward to yesterday (around 6 months after the previous repair) the chatter is back and we know it is the same issue. They are warranting the part since its only been six months, but they are not warranting the labor and want to try and charge us another $2750.00 to send someone out and because of the current travel restrictions they couldnt get someone here for about a month. Which leaves me having to replace the part on our $110,000.00 machine myself. At this point I wish we would have gone with axyzs panel builder or some other CNC company :(

This company was the one of the worst experiences that I have ever had in terms of doing business. My machine was 3 months late, it was not the machine that I had actually ordered, I was sent an entirely different machine. They did not have the tech support that they advertised, the WIFI doesnt work, and now they will not return my phone calls or help out in any way. When I told them I wanted to return the machine because it was not what I ordered and the company had zero tech support or knowledge about their own machine, they still demanded the 25% restocking fee. This is a horrible company, please do yourself a favor and do not do business with these incompetent people. One of the worst companies that I have ever had to deal with in my 15 years in this industry.

Spent a grip on the smart shop 2 I’ve owned for a couple months. Had nothing but isuess. First guy they sent out to setup machine doesn’t know one thing about cutting aluminum parts which is what i purchased the machine for. He broke half my new bits. Customer service is horrible! Every time I have an issue with my CNC machine, which is unfortunately too often, Laguna is always a serious hassle to deal with. When you spend nearly ten thousand dollars on a Chinese made CNC with an American brand logo slapped on it, youd expect that a good amount of the cost of the machine is to cover customer service - but that has hardly been the case. Every part of their operation that I have had to deal with has been a pain - missed delivery dates, forgetting to ship parts, lackluster technical support for the software, and struggling to getting replacement parts for components that just should not be broken so quickly with normal, skilled use - a frustrating experience.True story: I went to their showroom once to get a replacement part, the showroom didnt have a single sales representative in it. There is a long glass window which all the sales and tech people are behind. They looked at me, then looked away. For nearly 10 minutes I waited to see if they would take action. Nope. I then went into the office and asked if someone was available to help. After passing blank looks to one another, one said let me see if we can find someone. Seriously?? From there it took nearly 45 minutes to get a replacement part pulled from the back. Unorganized, unprofessional, and simply unacceptable.Im not sure how some customers are singing their praises, they obviously had a very different experience than myself - maybe they have much lower expectations or they made greater financial investments in their machinery and Laguna treats them accordingly - whatever the case is, I wouldnt wish my experience on anyone.If youre looking for a smaller size CNC, I highly recommend looking elsewhere and spending a little more for a higher quality product/experience.

After watching all the Youtube videos I ordered my Revo 12/16 and all the accessories from the closest dealer (200 miles away) and picked it up 10 days later. The videos make the set-up appear much easier than it is but it was especially difficult as the instruction manual for the stand was not in the box so I had to wing it. It took an entire day but I had to guess on the placement of some parts as the schematic (I found on the internet) didnt show all the pieces.The next day we attached the lathe and tried it out. It is as nice as the videos show with the exception of the bed extension which doesnt fit well with the lathe so to move the tail stock on and off of it takes a lot of jiggling to get it to slide over the point of contact. The portable wheel system doesnt lift the base high enough so it scrapes along the floor when you move it, even when its adjusted as high as it will go.Other than that, it appears very precise and Im anxious to try to turn some platters using the outboard. I have to confess I am coming off of many years of using a Powermatic 4224, 3hp, 220V with a 24 inch swing that just wouldnt fit in my new residence. So, obviously in down-sizing some attributes are lost and Ill have to limit the size of the pieces I turn.

After leaving a service message about the problem with my REVO1836 lathe, I received a call from Brian Diaz. I had turned my lathe off and it would not restart. I had no idea. Brian explained about the VFD unit.. I had never understood the purpose of the VFD, and when I explained my inexperience, he patiently explained the function of the VFD and instructed me in how to reset when necessary. I learned that it matters whether you turn the lathe on and off using the ON/OFF switch versus just using the Speed Control knob. I had a training session with Murphy Limon on using Lightburn with my new Laguna Laser. During the phone con training I accidentally didnt position the depth gauge over my wood and the laser kept going down...crushing thru the wood and making the laser table crooked. I panicked during all of this and tried to shut off the air and blew the air hose off as well. On the other hand Murphy, never panicked, but very calmly walked me thru everything. I thought I had broken this machine but Murphy calmed me down re-leveled the tray and off we went again. He stated on the phone with me as I struggled to connect the air hose and fix everything that I had broken. Murphy got me going and I finally made my first basic design and then cut it out. He gave me just enough to get me started and will touch base with me in a couple of months. He was a fantastic teacher during a crisis.

Flaky product, very flaky company.The machine is OK when it works. Too bad it doesnt work A LOT of the time: it forgets its settings (like the Z-axis shrinking by a couple inches so it can no longer reach the tool-holder), tool-changer locations drift from one day to the next (so then you have to manually re-find and re-store them), it starts homing at high speed then it crashes into things (it over-runs its end-stops), the menus were done by Chinese techs using a 2009 copy of Google translate, and on and on. The list is long and depressing.Getting someone from Laguna tech support on the phone (beyond an initial polite hello followed by literally dont call us well call you) takes even longer and is even more depressing. After several days, 21 unanswered calls and a dozen voice-mail messages & emails, still no call-back and Im still stuck.Maybe if you run it all day every day the machine is worth it. I dont see that it could/would, but maybe? For the user who needs the thing every so often (but then needs it to just work) all I can recommend is to avoid this mess...

I bought a SmartShop II late last year. We are a small shop in Northern California and I have put this machine through some very long days. I have cut cabinet parts out of 38 sheets of plywood in one day. This machine performed great. We have a few hiccups along the way but the service department was right on it and had the machine back online in no time. If you a small cabinet shop and you are looking for a machine that will cut productivity I would highly suggest this machine. I have had cheaper machines in the past that didnt perform at all to what the manufacturer said they would so be very cautious about the cheap machines, they will cost you far more than they are worth.

The start switch went out on my 14 BX bandsaw and they sent a replacement switch which I installed incorrectly. They stuck with me to get get it right . Thank you Brian Diaz for your help .

Dont know how this company can still be in business they have the worst customer service I could ever imagine once they make the sale it is impossible to even talk to someone about service/parts. I know need to replace for the second time a gear for table saw was told it was no longer available. Wish I had never given this company a penny.

I bought the 14BX bandsaw and the 10 Fusion Table Saw and I really like them both. The bandsaw had some initial issues which were cleared up immediately by Laguna customer service sending me new parts. Later I had a question about my bandsaw so I asked on their website and Brian from Laguna called me back within 5 minutes!Honestly, Laguna probably has the best customer service I have experienced from any company in a very long time.
