Our experience purchasing furniture and accessories from here was seamless. The staff was wonderful. We were grateful for all the input their in-house interior designer Anel gave us. I’m only giving it a 3 as your personnel was very kind. Getting to financing your employee left out some important information which caused us to walk. We were never told about the 50% up front cost, we could have covered the 50% but since it wasn’t disclosed until we were signing I felt swindled. Bad practice! Makes me not trust you or your employees. Financing was no problem, I have a great relationship with Synchrony Bank. In fact your employee asked $8300.00 to be approve by Synchrony, why, when 50% of my purchase was under $4000.00. Another sign that he was financing the entire transaction. I was very disappointed with our experience at Lay Z Boy.

We found a recliner we liked but had to add some upgrades to get everything we wanted. Power, no rocking, remote control, firmer seat. It was more $$ than we wanted to spend. But Lazy Boy is a well made product and worth it! my previous recliner lasted over 25 years and is now at a friends house for the past 5 years. I know this will last me another 30 plus years.Thanks Anel for providing us with great service and knowledgeable information on all the specs!!!

My Husband and I went shopping on New Years Eve and found chairs we liked. For the next week and a half I searched for a better bargain. As it turned out we ended up back at La-Z-Boy. Sofia was amazingly helpful not overly pushy and in the end got us a great deal. Yes, we spent more than I wanted. However the quality, service and the warranty stood out over all of the others manufacturers.

Entered the store looked around found this type of chair. I was looking for need a large one because I’m a large guy found the chair employee told us we could add this and that to the chair. It was hard to acknowledge this experience wasn’t a perfect 5! The salesman was great, in 41 years of marriage this was the 4th recliner we’ve purchased from this store….all, ALL awesome pieces of furniture.Why lower the score from 5 to 4? Mainly because of the fabric selection process. The graphics of the fabrics are, at best, vague in clarity, on line. When I went into the store to get a hands on feel for this generation of chairs I found:A. I was able to choose from a variety of different were my measurements (width of seat, how much you can stretch out in the chairs, options which will go a looonnnggg way in support of the reality of my becoming so overwhelmingly handicapped) and how a chair operated with the possibilities of many different power assists.B. The fabric samples I’d received had been much too limited. You can only order 3 even though you might be trying to choose between several styles or pieces of furniture. Although I used more than one device to visit their website to try and view the fabrics, the colors and contours of the fabrics was overwhelmingly BAD. I actually delayed my purchase 7 months because of this. That’s how long it took between my decision to buy a new chair in February 2023 to when I was physically strong enough (between surgeries, hospital visits and just the JOY of being disabled) to when I felt strong enough to go into the store mid November 2023.C. Which fabrics could go with what chairs was confusing. I had a very strong first choice for the chair which I’ll use sooo much each day. Nope, couldn’t get that fabric with that chair. I selected my very distant second choice. I’ve no doubt I’ll continue to feel that very deep disappointment and resentment every day and every time I look at my chair. With such a poor demonstration and lack of clarity in the fabric selection process…it makes me feel like the company either doesn’t care or is trying to pay me back for some imagined slight. Yes, I know that’s my imagination but the demonstration, poor and limited choice of fabrics and the effort needed to make your best GUESS about how a fabric looks, feels and wears is very personal, final decision. These chairs may be a good investment but they aren’t cheap.D. The fabrics are very different with limited to no explanation of what to expect in softness, cleaning efforts and outcomes, how they will stand up to wear and tear.E. I needed and bought a power assisted chair. It has a warrantee. If the power assist breaks down past the warrantee timeline and I’m still in love with THAT chair, will they be able to create a system which will support and allow me to continue to use the power functions? It’s specially important to be able to count on a product which allows you to continue to function for everyone and more vital for the handicapped. I haven’t even received my chair and I’m already worried about, “What if”.My doctors and hospitals have already done everything they can do to help me function as comfortably and effectively as possible. We all know it’s down hill from here. My recliner is my oasis/shelter purchased and created to support my efforts to get through each day.This all reads soooo negative. I want to be clear, this is a wonderful company, store and product. They make a tremendous contribution to my quality of life! I just feel that companies can become numb to what they and their products mean to their customers. I hope they read their surveys. I hope they see this one as a challenge, an opportunity for improvement.

I was assisted by Allison and she helped us pick out a chair, we upgraded it to powered after sitting in the display, we walked out with an ottoman cushion and pillow and await the delivery of our laz-E-boy. Lots of selection but no inventory. You are almost given no other option but to make a custom order. We came in looking to spend $2400 and 2 sofas later left $6000 in the hole. The old bait and switch.Honestly, we have had Lay-Z-Boy funiture for over 24 years and they are still in great condition. I was very impressed with my entire experience at this La-Z-Boy location. Allison was very helpful. She made sure that she addressed my mothers physical needs and even brought a chair to her due to her physical limitations. She was honest about the delivery and shipment options based on what was in stock and what would take an extended time due to pandemic constraints. Allison honored my military discount and offered a price match if I found the same chair at a lower price. I accepted the challenge, found the chair significantly lower online and she provided a timely refund for the price difference.Today the recliner arrived on time and without defect. The delivery team was very nice and professional and did not leave until they tested all of the chairs electronic features.Overall this was an excellent purchasing experience and I would most definitely recommend this store. My first experience at La-Z-Boy was really good overall.I had two sales women help me, because the first one went home before I finalized my decision.First impression, when I told the first sales rep I was buying a couch, I felt like she was surprised. Not sure if it was because my parents came, but it seemed like she didn’t think I was purchasing my own furniture that day. Felt a little judged.The rest of my time there went well.The first sales rep, Elm, gavus some time and space while looking. Once I narrowed it down to two couches, she was able to give me print outs and pricing. She also explained the La-Z-Boy “spiel”, which was great info to take in.Elm had to leave due to the end of her shift, so Allison helped me. Allison was great, really kind, straight to the point. She helped figure out which sectional pieces would work in my small space. And when I couldn’t get my first choice in couches, she assured me my second choice would be great, and helped figure out dimensions and prices.Allison had great energy and shared the excitement with me.I bought my couch and had a smooth closing process.Thank you!

Marie Jersey has been very easy to deal with and has a very pleasant personality.However, I made special order of 2 recliner chairs in red in February. The order was to be completed in 6 months or less. I was recently told I MAY get my chairs by the end of September. I am not happy with this even taking in the Covid factor. I cannot get my money back because the contract specifies no refunds after 10 days.

I could never recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone I truly liked. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the product. Just be prepared to pay up front, then wait seven and a half months for your order to come in. Then have a totally disrespectful crew show up with the delivery, then have them decide they dont like how slowly my disabled Veteran husband answered the door. I was in the restroom and a few minutes later came out to find the crew threatening to leave and complaining that they needed to call their office. The crew walked off the job and left our new tables along the side of our house and blocked the back door wide open with both the sofa and loveseat holding it open. These are not light pieces of furniture with recliners in both. With back issues of my own, there was no way I could move them. It took hours of back and forth calls to get two supervisors out here to move the furniture. Never again!

As we questioned how our conversation had moved off topic from the chore of selecting a new recliner, I recognized the comfort I felt as I sat in the recliner throughout our conversation. You know, furniture shopping or recliner shopping is like mattress shopping. You always feel like youre not getting the whole story and what youre buying is worth about a third of what youre paying (if that). So buying a couple of $1500/$2000 chairs is a weird experience.Having said that, the hour and 15 minute drive to La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in San Bernardino was worth the trouble, and the people we talked to there -- well, I did not have the feeling they were feeding me a bunch of nonsense or lies. They were friendly and straightforward and they left us a lone when we wanted to be left alone.Once wed made our decisions, we were told the chairs would take six months to produce (!) but we wound up taking delivery in about three months. So that was a nice surprise.Its worth noting that we had to pay for the chairs the day we ordered them, so if youre not into laying out the full cost (months) before taking delivery, this may not be for you.Its also worth noting that they do have some chairs in stock and ready for delivery. But not many, and the options are very limited, so to get the chair you want youre probably going to place a custom order.The chairs themselves are wonderful, and I dont want to speculate on how long theyll last, but I suspect they will easily last long enough to be well worth the price.

Waited 3 months to get chair when originally told it’d only take 2 months. Chair came and it tilts forward to the point that the chair touches the floor. I was so happy to finally get the chair I didn’t notice this defect at first but I called within 2 days of receiving the chair to get it fixed. (This is where I made my mistake... I needed to reject the chair when they dropped it off, but since I didn’t I’m pretty much screwed). Tech came out 3 weeks later told me what he thought the problem was but needed lazy boy approval and that I’d hear back in 3 days... lazy boy never called. I called and was told someone would call by the end of the week. No one called so I called. They want to send another tech out in a month to fix what they think the issue is, but they won’t schedule the spot until I get the part and when I get the part I have to call (and wait on hold for 30+ minutes) to schedule my appt that will likely be a month out. I told them I was done waiting and I wanted my money back so I could just move on from this horrible experience... I was told I’m SOL and they won’t refund my money. Soooo I’m stuck waiting for a month (again) for them to come fix the chair that was purchased specifically so I had a rocking chair to rock a newborn baby in. The baby is now 3 months and I have yet to rock him in this $1,200 chair I paid for 4.5 months ago. I thought they’d stand behind their satisfaction guarantee, but I guess not because they’re trying to fix it but “I’m being unreasonable asking for a refund instead of giving them 2 months to fix it.”Guess I’ll let you know in a month if they fixed it... but after 3 phone calls and spending 2 hours on hold and not having a functioning chair for another month my review stands at 1 star.Update: it took 4 months after receiving the chair for it to be actually fixed. The tech came out and switched the chair from a swivel to a rocker in 18 minutes. The chair works great now, which begs the question why they offer a swivel option on chairs that it doesn’t work for correctly. I have to call lazy boy to see if I can get the $150 back that was the upgrade from the rocker to the swivel, but I really don’t want to waste more time on the phone with them. I love the chair now, but due to the extremely long wait, the fact that the swivel should have never been an option for the chair, and the enormous headache caused by this mess my review stays at a 1 star and I think even that is generous. If I could go back I’d buy a chair from another company and will never purchase from lazy boy again. They had my money for 8 months before I got a functioning chair. It took 4 months to get the chair and 4 months to make it function properly.... my baby is now 5.5 months old and is just now going to be rocked in this chair that was a baby gift from my parents 🤦‍♀️

Ive been looking to purchase a La-Z-Boy Makenna Duo sofa. To my delight, La-Z-Boy is having a Fourth of July a holiday sale. I dropped into the San Bernardino store and was helped by a delightful sales woman named Kristi. She patiently provided input and pricing on several of the duo models. As an expert in her field, she made recommendations which greatly helped me make a final decision. There was no pressure, only professionalism and customer service at its finest!On an additional note, the San Bernardino store is very nicely appointed. This experience could not have been better! After finding the perfect La-z-boy reclining couch at Mathis Brothers, we thought we we like to see if the actual la-z-boy store had something even nicer. We went to the San Bernardino store and perused the entire building, but found the same couch in that store was still our favorite. We noticed a higher price at the SB store but were ensured they would price match. They also explained that we would get the La-z-boy manufacturer warranty instead of a Mathis Brothers warranty which is obviously the better idea. All we had todo was go back to Mathis brothers and get a written quote. HOW SIMPLE!! We did just that, but as we pulled near the Mathis Brothers store in Ontario, we saw another La-z-boy store across the street. We got what we needed from Mathis Brothers and went to the Ontario La-z-boy, just in case they had something we liked better. We did not, but one of the sales reps came over and asked if we needed help. We told her our entire story and she told us she would be right back to see if they could help in Ontario. THEY DID! Working with the San Bernardino store rep, they did all of the paperwork and we now own the couch we fell in love with, at an amazing price with complete La-Z-Boy backing! We could not be happier. I wish I remembered all of the people that helped us put that together, but to help us take one short drive to get about a $700 savings, is real customer service. Thanks to all of you!

We were already contemplating replacing our current, heavily-used La-Z-Boy recliners when we received a 30% promo offer. Anel was very helpful in presenting all the current recliner options, since ours are over 12 years old. We ended up adding a sleeper sofa to this purchase and, again, Anel was extremely helpful and patient in assisting us with design. The fact that you can preview your room on the wall monitor really helps you visualize what your fabric picks are going to look like before purchasing. There would have definitely been some disappointment with some of our fabric picks had we not send them beforehand. Spent two hours walking around picking couches and furniture for two rooms. They had a big sale, EVERYTHING on the floor!! Oh, except for the tiny little print you cant see.
