Gary was very nice, not pushy at all and that was really nice. I didn’t feel pressured. Gary was also very patient with us having him get a bunch of different prices. If you go there ask for Gary the most pleasant and nice guy to work with.

When walking into the store I knew what I was looking for but didnt really know where to begin. Alex welcomed me to the store. After speaking for a few minutes he directed me to the in home design consultation. Susan came out took measurements and got to know my style. Later that week I went back in-store to go over what Susan had chosen for designs for my home. Couldnt be happier with my experience and purchase. I took my mother-in-law in to pick a recliner. Gary was very kind a patient with us as she tried things out and deliberated on what she wanted. We ended up ordering a custom chair that same day and my mother in law in looking forward to receiving it in a few weeks.

This is a review for this location only as I have yet to receive my furniture which I was originally told would be ready in ~6-8wks but was then informed thered be a 7wk fabric delay. I had read that this was par for the course so I wasnt expecting the earlier timeframe anyway.I knew the item I wanted and was just here to see the fabric choices in person. Greg (Mgr?) was helpful & checked in from time to time. Susan (Designer) jumped in at some point and added a bit of sparkle to the task. She rung me up, made a good argument in favor of the 5yr protection plan, and I feel really good about my purchase.Store was clean, well inventoried, and brightly lit. Neighborhood was good, plenty of parking, and close to other stores.

Have purchased all my La-z-boy furniture at this particular Duarte CA store. Celia has sold me each piece, helped me with obtaining discounts, service and credit with zero interest. Shes very helpful and knows her stuff. Shes a great salesperson and knows the La-z-boy brand inside and out.Of course I absolutely LOVE each of my pieces, I purchased them at different times throughout the years. My rocking chair recliner was purchased over 13 years ago and works and looks like brand new, has endured the test of time. My beautiful, all around leather, Duo sofa was purchased almost five years ago and with my extended care plan, Ive had at least one issue resolved with a tech coming to my home and repairing a minor issue immediately and the second issue Im having at this time has to do with damage from my end and am currently working on getting a technician to my home for repairs, IM HOPING. So well see how that goes - Ill update this post with how it went, once Ive received a response from La-z-boy Overall, this is a lovely store, the showroom floor is beautifully arranged, large bright lighting, theyre not following you around as you shop making it uncomfortable and the salesperson I dealt with throughout the years is very helpful and a pleasure to work with.

I purchased a $4,000 sectional in March 2017. Within three weeks, the sofa started to collapse. The quality is hideous. I called the store several times. The manager avoids the call and wont call back. I decided to write a letter to the CEO, Kurt Darrow in Michigan. Its been two months. No reply. Nothing. This company doesnt care about their poor quality and certainly doesnt care about their customers. Im a repeat customer. They used to be an outstanding company. Now they are worse then IQEAs quality and service. I wish I knew what to do next. Anyone have ideas, please post them.

When shopping for seating, La-Z-Boy has always been our go-to. The Duarte location has been wonderful. Their sales staff is available but not hovering, which is always appreciated. They were a great help when we were selecting appropriate fabric for our couch, helping us find those fabrics conducive to a household with cats. Definitely would recommend, plus, the furniture is amazing.

And theyre missing parts and corporate asked for more $$$$ but they didnt ship the parts properly. Buyer beware. Their after market is a rip off. They want to charge me almost forty percent of the total price I paid. To fix the couch that broke within eighteen months. From delivery The problem is I have two of them exactly the same made in the same time delivered on the same day.Buyer beware. After shopping at several other furniture chain stores in the area we finally stepped up and listened to several recommendations and went to La-Z-Boy. The closest fully open location was 20+ miles away and from online reviews the Duarte location rates better than the rest! We were greeted by Greg and explained what we were looking for. He was friendly and helpful and showed us a couple recliners and then let us “test drive” several that met our budget and needs. He checked in several times and didn’t hover or push like the sales staff at other stores did. He was very knowledgeable and guided us to a couple that hit all the marks. One of which we said yes to and will have it delivered next week.If you’re looking for a top quality recliner and have special needs due to a bad back or just want to buy one that feels like it was made for you, check then out. Try the other places first and you’ll understand why we ended up with the best!!Keep up the great service!!

So as Ive gotten older my back has been getting much Worse.I had no idea La-Z-Boy was the King of the Hill of recliners! And wow I was very surprised for seeing a dedicated area just on that.Our Salesperson Shannon was kind, generous, patient & professional. Fortunately she was also knowledgeable about everything since my parents & I had no idea what we were trying to look for. All I knew is I wanted electric/powered & not leather. Also since lm short, a good fit to physically.Shortly after a couple test drives on a few. I picked the one I wanted; even the color. Madelin was quite helpful. However, when it came time to do the paperwork for our purchase, a bearded man came over and seemed to get frustrated with her because of some complications with the computer input. He was quite short with her and his verbiage sounded very demeaning. When she even slightly tried to stand up for herself he said, in my presence, enough of that! It was an extremely uncomfortable situation. If this guy was in anyway her supervisor, I would recommend he attend employee retraining! A customer should NEVER be a witness to such poor behavior by any type of supervisor towards another employee. She kept her head about her and was able to complete the transaction without any other unpleasantrys. I found all of the back and forth very unprofessional. I also felt sorry for Madelin. If I were her, this gentleman would have gotten a piece of my mind and my resignation!!!

I had a wonderful time buying my recliner. Mikes customer skills were warm, kind and friendly and attentive to my needs. You see I came in with a back brace, splinted arm and using a walker. Mike brought all the paperwork for the sale while I was enjoying sitting in my new recliner. I had visited the Lazy Boy site and educated myself of what this brand had to offer and Mike helped me find the chair perfect for me and my mom. We are seniors and the comfort and positions the chair offers is perfect for our needs. We bought the Edie sectional can’t wait to get it Delivered. Couch was delivered yesterday. Drivers arrived in scheduled window they were polite and careful with bringing the couch in and setting it up. All went very smooth. The couch is beautiful I love it and the custom fabric I choose looks amazing. Super happy with my purchase. I hope it lasts as long as the lazy boy we just replaced.

After having a rather odd experience at the Northridge store, we drove all the way out to Duarte and I am thankful that we did! We had the pleasure of working with Greg, who was absolutely amazing! He let us wander around at our own pace but would come check on us periodically. He was able to answer any question we threw at him and helped pick out the perfect chair! Yes, their prices are a little more but the quality is well worth it! This was learned from experience of buying a lesser chair for half the price a month ago. That chair is now being brought over to a family members house to use. There is no comparison between the old chair and the new one we just purchased.

Came in Sept 5 @ 4:44. Employees were very condescending. Guy with the beard and hawaiian/pine leaf shirt dont judge brother youre working at a furniture store. Im glad I put a smile on your face whether good or bad. Says more about your character. The guy that tried to help at least tried. I mean he wasnt too enthusiastic about selling me anything. Seemed like their hollowness conversations were more important than actually helping a customer. Came in to purchase but just walked right out. Didnt even get a have a good day as I walked out, got the stares but no have a good day. Cant take it too personally though, I would hate working on a holiday too, especially being a slave to the system. Ill take my money elsewhere.

This was my husband’s and my first visit at La-Z-Boy!! I was interested in purchasing a well made sectional. We were greeted very well by Vincent at the Monrovia store, he directed us to the sectionals of our interests. In the process, we met Arianna who would help design our living room. We took the written information on our desired piece and then met with Arianna to take all our measurements and advise us on other items for our home. Afterwards we met with Raquel and she furthered our experience. In conclusion, we left the store Saturday very happy with all our pieces to update our home. We are newlyweds and purchasing a couch is our first big purchase. So, we took a quick trip to La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery, the Duarte location. It was a hot day, so we both appreciated the air conditioning in the facility immediately. After a brief survey of the space, an employee introduced herself as Nina. Following the introductions and pleasantries, Nina asked us about our interests in living room furniture. We have specific needs as our living space is small and on the second floor. Nina went right to work introducing us to the options available in the showroom as well as what we could expect should we decide to go the custom route. We asked to have some time to consider our options and Nina was gracious. She was not forceful by trying to pressure us into a decision that day. We went home and deliberated our options for approximately two weeks before narrowing our search. We went back and Nina was ready when we arrived on the showroom floor on another hot morning.In closing the experience was pleasant. We can hardly wait for our new couch. Came to this location after visiting the Cerritos location and not having a positive experience. Met with Greg who was great in helping us select the model of a custom made sectional. Due to the size of the sectional he recommended a designer come to our home and create a 3D image of our living room. Daniela came to our house and provided some excellent ideas. Greg and Daniela were very professional and were not pushy in trying to sell something you didnt want or need. So far we are very happy with the experience and highly recommend this location. I went in just to browse what they had to offer. I was greeted Celia when I walked in asked if I was looking for something particular. I informed her that I was just browsing. She told me too look around and let her know if I had questions. She allowed me to look and checked in with me periodically to make sure I was ok and see if I had any questions. I appreciated that she let me look, relax on the sofas and didn’t hover. If she came by and I was looking a a piece of furniture that had upgraded or special features, she let me know. I did find a sofa I liked and came back twice to look at it and compare to another sofa I was eyeing. She provided quotes on both and didn’t pressure me to buy. The purchasing experience was pleasant. I felt like she gave me all the information I needed. I would definitely buy form La-Z-Boy again.

Nina was so helpful. She let us know what was in stock what fabrics we can get it in and how soon. We had to make sure everything fit so she gave us a print out with the dimensions. When we were unable to go back to the store she helped us over the phone which was a great help since my husband had to have surgery. The only thing that I wasnt too excited about and I know was not her fault was a charge of $99 per piece to deliver or $40 to pick it up yourself which I know its store policy but seems kind of much. Other then that was a 5 star experience.

Alex (Ryan) was patient and helped us through a decision-making process and we ended up with a loveseat and two recliners to be placed on the loveseat’s two sides which are being done in contrasting custom fabric. We can take delivery as soon as we’re ready to receive the loveseat as that is in stock and we’ll be waiting for the sidechair/recliners for a few months. We are very happy and looking forward to having the nice grouping for our new home!

Went to the Duarte store after receiving an email about a 30% off sale and clearance due to store closing for remodeling. We were looking for a new sofa that fit my wife better and with Greg’s help we found exactly what we were looking for. We bought the sofa directly of the floor for about 50% less than the regular price! The store was very well laid out with quite a good selection. Our salesperson Greg was very helpful and patient with us. I would highly recommend Laz-Z-Boy furniture.

Obviously great choice and furniture but OH MY I have never been through a more convoluted and complicated way of buying a sofa.Chose the style I wanted then asked to see the different material choices. The staff couldn’t find most of them due to the crazy filing system they have. Took around 2 hours to get it sorted. After all that I now have to wait 10 weeks for my sofa and collect it myself from far away. Hoping the sofas will be worth the wait!!

Jennifer was a great help. I was greated with a smile. She was knowledgeable about the sofa I wanted. Explained everything to me clearly and even told me about the sale. Checked to make sure it was in stock as i needed a sofa right away. I explained my concerns due to the last sofa I purchase (from Jeromes) which broke shortly after it was installed in my home and they wouldnt warranty it eventhough it was a manufacturer defect. She understood my concerns explained La-Z-Boy warranties and explained the extended warranty which I went purchased. Financing and purchasing was an easy process. I went in on Sunday the first day the showroom had opened after the closure due to Covid-19. She made sure to keep distance, cleaned the surfaces to make sure I was safe. Thank you Jennifer for your hard work I really appreciate your help. I jave not received my sofa yet, but I am sure with La-Z-Boy reputation for having quailty products I will be happy.

The sales associate Miss Candace Graham was extremely helpful sharing with me the different sizes of reclining chairs and fabrics related detailed color descriptions sizing of chair to fit my size and needs. She was clear precise accurate friendly upbeat and very Charming person to deal with. As we did all the transaction over the phone. And my delivery will be within 2 days. She emailed the backup paperwork and descending me paperwork to be signed and I will be more than happy to send back immediately. I would not recommend this store to anyone ever. I bought over $10,000 in furniture for my living room back on 9-12-20 and didnt receive my order until 1-30-21. When my furniture was delivered there was a piece missing. I was told it would then be delivered on 6-8-21 that never happened. I was then told it would be delivered on 6-29-21. That never happened now I am being told it would be delivered on 8-9-21. We will see what the next excuse will be. Mind you my total spent in this store was $ 10,543.28. The manager of this store has never once called me or even made an attempt to give me any type of apology for this or even offered a discount due to me waiting nearly a year now for the last piece of my entertainment unit that I paid in full for. So in essence they dont even deserve the 1 star I gave. They are awful at follow through with allowing the customer to know whats going on with the order. They would much rather you forget about what they stills owe you seeing as how I already paid for it. I wished I didnt ever go into this store. Lazyboy for being a high priced furniture store is awful at delivering what you pay for. Ive learned my lesson and would never recommend to anyone ever, nor will I ever give them my business again!!

Wife saw barely saw the sign off the 210 freeway. Decided lets go take a look.We were greeted by Raquel whom gave us advice on where to look for the style reclining sofas and storage we were interested in then gave us space to explore.Checked with us if we had any questions.The knowledge and expertise of the products and explanations to us letting us know what options we had was wonderful.We found a couch and table we liked. As we were waiting for a quote we fell in love with a couple of recliners instead. We got a quote on those as well.This is where Raquel really impressed me. Im one that is good at noticing little things other might not that can make a big difference in the way something is. Ive sat in plenty of recliners before but never really thought in details about them. She was great in knowing the height difference between my wife and I. With that she had us sit in the recliner again. I thought it was great already. She noticed the small gap between the chair and my legs while sitting. She went and found a tall base for the recliner, put it in place and had me sit again. OMG that made it even better.We were sold but wanted to finish our rounds of checking other stores. There was no pressure at all which made the whole experience greatWe ultimately returned before they closed to finalize the purchase of the recliners, table and a lamp.Definitely spent more than expected on this adventure but when you come across quality products and top tier service it is worth it.We cannot wait for the delivery!

Given this persons size and room decor, I picked 2 perfectly fit recliners. Reaction was a little bit more than flatlined. Im replacing a La-Z-Boy chair Ive had for well over 30 years. The old chair works great but is worn. The staff was great in helping guide me to a fine replacement. Ive ordered the fabric and cushion Ive wanted and am waiting on the factory now to make it. I wish it came with arm and back covers like my old on did. I had to pay $75 to get matching ones for the new chair.

Found the wall higher recliner that fit my sitting position and leg length, but wasnt happy with the fabric color a day after the purchase. Talked with a sales rep at the store, came back the next day and changed to the right fabric color without additional cost.The one I bought doesnt have a good seat--needs more padding/upholstery/something. Recommend you sit in the one you choose for at least 30 min., to see if it feels right for you. I plan to go back to the store and sit in the identical sample chair and see if it feels the same or if it has more upholstery padding..

Previously I bought a LaZ Boy rocker/recliner and was thrilled with it for years. I recently bought another. The quality and customer service has deteriorated. The special order, $1000 chair arrived with fabric puckering badly on both arms and the front. The chair in the show room does not have this problem, nor my previous chair. Also the mechanism squeaks and the back of the recliner does not come back up after you recline. You have to get out of the chair and pull it up. I was pleased with previous product, and can see how their quality and service has gone downhill.I called to have it serviced and went through 30 minutes of being transferred and talking with 4 different people overall. Then they arranged for a technician to come out. I was told this person only takes pictures. He does nothing to fix the chair. After this person takes pictures, then maybe someone will come out to fix the chair, or maybe not.I paid ~$1000 for a defective chair that LaZ Boy doesnt want to fix.

Researching online, I have long admired the Kirkwood rocker/recliner. In store, when I finally had an opportunity to sit in the chair, it swallowed me up....and I am not a small woman. A man sat in the chair after me, probably 6’2”-6’3” and it fit him fine. I am 5’4”. I so wish that your designers would have offered an appropriate size of the Kirkwood for smaller humans. In the end, I purchased something that is not at all to my personal taste, albeit very comfortable.

After purchasing the most expensive, automatic & adjustable couch they have, the couch arrived. My elderly Mom & I spent the evening on our new couch. After a couple hours, neither one of us could adjust it to a comfortable position. After having the couch not even 24 hrs, we were both in such pain from sitting on this couch (with neck pain & lower back pain) that we had to get a chiropractor to adjust us. I went back to the store to tell them the situation. The couch was almost $3,000. At first they wouldnt let me return it but only exchange it. There wasnt any other couch that would work. This was the only couch firm enough, that my elderly mother could get out of. They finally conceded, only if I paid the 30% Restocking Fee of over $830 plus another $120 for them to pick it up!!! I almost fell over in unbelievable shock as tears filled my eyes!! Its not like I didnt like the color or it didnt fit in my living room. This couch is not something that any human can sit in longer than an hour! But I had to get this out of my house. I had no other option but to PAY almost $1,000 just to have an unusable couch returned. I would be so embarrassed to work at Lazboy. Of course nobody there warns you that this could happen to you & probably happens every day. They only tell you after your problem, well thats our policy... Its in your contract. Pathetic. I will tell everyone to avoid Lazboy from now on.

On 10/12/18 I went to the LazyBoy store in Duarte, CA and was assisted by Sales Representative Genesse, who has outstanding Customer Service Skills, which are unfortunately hard to find now a day! I had spoken to Genesse on the telephone regarding a previous LazyBoy that I had ordered on 10/9/18 that unfortunately did not met my needs, and I needed to come in to the store personally and check other LazyBoys.Genesse showed me the various LazyBoys recliners that may address my needs and I tried them all out for comfort. I was there for a long time and finally selected and ordered the HUNTER PWR Recliner W/2 Motor MSSG/HEAT as I sat on it for a long time and the heat, and massage features really addressed my needs.I received the above mentioned LazyBoy on 10/16/18 and I am now in heaven👼Delivery team, Jeremy and Damien, who brought it in, were very helpful, respectful and very nice! I bought my first LazyBoy back in the early 80s and nothing ever went wrong with it. It still works, but unfortunately no longer meets my needs. I have given it to a great friend of mine and he loves it!😀

I was about half way done remodeling my living room and kitchen when the recent health concerns closed many businesses. I reached out to Lazy Boy in Duerte, Ca. to see what could be done about making a purchase. Lazy Boy employee Jennifer came to the rescue. Several e mails, phone calls and a Face Time later, I had the new chair I wanted. I never have shopped like this but Jennifer made it work. Quality is better than the competition. Sales rep was just right and not too pushy. Also I happened to like the styles that were available. Prices are a little high though. Overall it was a good experience.

The demonstrator item I purchased has quite a few dings and scratches, but for the price I figured it will refinish easy enough. They charge $ 100. to deliver and thats too much for that item. I compare everything to Amazon, free shipping
