My husband and I were looking for a sofa that would possibly have lumbar support. Yasmin was an absolute God send..she listened to our request and was able to show us exactly what we were looking for. She made us feel comfortable. I was looking for a recliner when I visited, & Lazy Boy was to me the place for recliners. As expected I was able to spot one that fits my needs. I didn’t have to wait long too for assistance, I was approached by Robert who came over & helped me out & answered any questions I have. Thanks Robert, that was a fast transaction. Glad I didn’t have to travel elsewhere. My only issue was paying an extra $50 to pick up the recliner from the store. Gone were the days when they could deliver with that much.

Nice showroom. Prompt sales service. Quality product. They charge a $50 delivery fee for an in stock item that is sent from the warehouse to the store for customer pickup. Wasn’t expecting that. And be prepared to load your own furniture as they say they don’t have the staff to help you however the sales associate who sold me the chair 2 days earlier helped me out. I appreciated his help.

I entered the store with preconceived ideas to replace my dilapidated microfiber swivel rocker recliner. Michael Lohr introduced himself and spent a good hour trying chairs of different sizes and kinds. Michael explained differences between manual operation and remote control operations. Michael took it one step further and explained how the battery backup technology could help prevent a person from getting stuck in the chair while it was still open when the electricity goes out. Michael answered every question I had. I ordered a specific chair with certain features. It will be delivered with a white glove service after it is built here in the USA. I’m looking forward to my new rocking recliner.

Great floor stock and we were glad we did an in-store test drive prior to our purchase. The chair we thought we wanted was out done by a different model with a higher headrest. Staff was great in-store. Ordered two recliners arrived 1 month later broken. 1 of the chairs locking mechanism broken and will not stay reclined. Spent a lot of money on these and am very disappointed that it arrived broken. Now its a waiting game for part to be ordered and then to schedule for someone to come out and fix.

Nice store, good selection. We were looking for a particular recliner model in a particular fabric and color. I called this store in Elk Grove because none of the LA Z Boy stores in our area had what we wanted or could get it sooner than 8 to 10 weeks. So we drove from Pleasanton, and associate Steven Nguyen was great. He couldnt find the exact recliner we had decided on, but he went above and beyond helping us and showed us other recliners we had not previously considered. We found a comfy recliner that met all of our needs and wants, and delivery should be in about 2 weeks! Thank you, Steven!

I enjoyed meeting with the designer. Today we went to the store and received help from someone else. He was very nice. The furniture is very pricey and there is an extra charge if you want fabric that is not associated with the style of couch you chose. Due to that up charge I had to change couches because it was around 500 additional for two couches with the fabric I wanted. Make sure you match the fabric to the couch. The store was clean and inviting . Also know that it takes 5-10 months to get your furniture delivered. Great customer service. I took one point off due to the fabric up charge and length of time it takes to get your purchase.

We found quality rocking/recliner chair with head and lumbar support. I loved how helpful was the salesman yet, I almost felt there was a hesitancy to show all available options. It’s almost like he wanted to show what was in stock rather than all available options. I wanted to find more contemporary looking chair and there was a lot of classic looking chairs that would be rocking and reclining at the same time. I am glad I just kept on looking and found what suited us. Even though we are having to wait 5-10 months to get it made and delivered. Compared to Pottery Barn/West Elm, La-Z-Boy quality is superior!

She told us about fitting the furniture to the person, the build process for the furniture itself, and the materials used in the furniture. We left knowing we will have the sofa of our dreams before too long, along with a couple of extras we didnt anticipate purchasing.we ordered a coffee table and an end table, and got 2 large throw pillows and a blanket throw. Unfortunately this has been one of the worst furniture purchasing experiences of my life. I purchased a sectional in December, when delivered the pieces were damaged and did not fit into each other. I have spoken with several staff members, managers, regional managers to repair this couch, have it replaced or refund my money. To no avail. 6 months later, I still do not have all the pieces to this couch and am hounding them endlessly to respond to me.

My family and I got to the La-Z-Boy gallery 1 minute before closing. Salesman Orlando, held the door open for us, locking the door after we got in. Orlando walked around with us looking at furniture with great patience, keep in mind its after hours now. We received the best service that I could remember. When it came time to make payment arrangements, another salesman named Steve, jumped in to help by answering questions about warranties clarifying what Orlando had already told us. Ultimately, we got exactly what we wanted without having to make too many compromises and we are very very satisfied. Yazmine was very knowledgeable and helpful during our time in the store. She exhibited much patience with all of our questions and truly helped us to get the exact piece of furniture that we need. Unfortunately, we were told the custom fabric we chose would be produced in the USA, but it was made in Mexico and is so baggy and missing cushioning that it appears wrinkled and used. Its an embarrassing piece of $8,500 furniture. La-Z-Boy will not do anything about it. They say we need to fluff the cushions. Its brand new and no matter how much I try to fluff it, the wrinkles remain. Very disappointed and will never return to this brand. Do yourself a favor and look up the social media pages that discuss their quality.

The sales person was friendly and helpful.The chair arrives 3 weeks later (already too late to change your mind BTW) and doesnt function properly. They say theyll send/order a new remote. I hear nothing. I call the store. They basically wash their hands of me and send me to call comfort care. I call, explain the problem is with a simple remote. They say theyll schedule a technician to come by?? Never get the call to schedule. Mom gets impatient and buys another chair since my disabled dad needs it to get out of bed and this one is sitting in the garage unused. I then call to return the chair and find out I have no way out!! NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES AFTER 3 DAYS!! Ive been in possession of this chair for 1 week!!

When the sales representative was available, he answered my many questions. Not only did he answer my questions on options, he took me to the floor models with the options. So many floor models displaying the many options for each piece of furniture impressed me. We are pleased with our new furniture, however the customer service is lacking. We spent over $17k along with your design service. First, the designer agreed to send us pictures showing each item we purchased (that didn’t happen). Second, your truck had to reschedule because they couldn’t access our road (I know it’s not your fault, but the designer did come to our house and knew the steepness of our road. Third, designer said that since she couldn’t rearrange her schedule, she would set up a video call to help us arrange the room as she had planned (that didn’t happen). I had to call her to have her email me a schematic. Fourth, we received 3 rugs, but only 2 pads. Upon calling her, she said oh, WE must’ve only ordered two pads, you’ll have to call and order another one. I think it’s only reasonable that if you order 3 rugs, you should get 3 pads.Needless to say, my husband and I are disappointed in the service we received from LaZBoy Furniture Galleries of Elk Grove.

Update: my husband had a discussion with the manager of the store and he offered to reimburse us for my husbands missed day of work. Following that he received a call from their accounts department confirming the reimbursement. It was received just a few days later. We are grateful that they made this gesture, however I feel that until they make changes to their delivery system I cannot change or delete this review as I feel a customer has a right to know what could happen to them. As for the loveseat, it seems to be in good condition and great working order and the customer service was very good.The worst delivery service EVER!!We ordered a power love seat from this la-z-boy store and waited for the delivery. They only deliver in our area on a Friday so my husband took the day off work. We were told on Thursday it would be delivered between 10 and 1. Friday (today) comes rolling around and we receive a phone call saying it wouldn’t be until 2. It is now almost 3:30pm and the delivery guys are still in Elk Grove.Overall I would say that the in-store service is great, of course, they don’t make the sale if that part is bad but once they have your money they don’t mind messing you around instead of sticking to their promises involved in the transaction.Wouldn’t happen if it was half payment on ordering and half upon delivery I bet.You’re a company with a reputation to maintain, don’t get so cocky that you think it can’t be damaged. Give people the service they expect from a company with your “standard” please.This treatment is just plain rude.It doesn’t help that my husband had reservations about buying another chair from la-z-boy and I insisted we go there. A few years ago we purchased a recliner from here only to find that the recliner has a persistent high pitched squeak. Getting the squeak fixed was a nightmare in itself involving several service calls and replacement parts, service scheduled and they don’t arrive, parts arrive and sit there for weeks before someone actually does come to do the repairs. All of this for the recliner to still squeak. We have submitted ourselves that the squeak is now a part of our lives. This new love seat had better be problem free. Not very happy at all thus only a one star review.

We didn’t want to go furniture shopping during COVID, but after 6 months had no choice. We made an appointment after confirming with the manager that they are doing everything they can to protect customers and their staff.We had an appointment with Jennifer Hoffman and she took excellent care of us. We sat on every recliner in our market, some multiple times in order to find the “Goldilocks” fit. Jennifer is patient and knowledgeable and helped us find a loveseat we will be happy with.The store is limiting the number of customers in the store, everyone is wearing a proper mask, they have single use pens. Plexiglass barriers where you pay and are remaining 6ft apart when possible.

Steven, was able to show us a very nice little Cadillac of a chair. We went into the Elk Grove lazy boy to buy a recliner and potentially find a dining room set. My wife quickly located the chair and we ordered it immediately. We needed to measure for the dining room set. When we got home we went to show family members the chair on line and found the chair is listed at 1299, we paid 2999.We called as we have a three day cancelation to identify what our upgrades were costing us as we did upgrade to the nicest leather. Nobody could tell us. They said call back when the sales person comes back to work. That was confusing as anybody should have been able to tell us the price of the upgrades.Then it gets worse. We call the sales person two days later and he has no clue what the upgrades cost. We cancel the order, which was such an event. A dozen phone calls?We called Sacramento lazy boy and asked pricing on the exact same chair. She immediately told me the exact price of each upgrade, which came in 500 dollars less.Something is wrong with Elk Grove Lazy Boy and it appears dishonest. Shop around and go to Sacramento and avoid the dishonest locations.

Very upset with the Laz-Boy customer service team. My husband ordered a chair online about a week ago now. We didn’t realize until after the order was placed that it would take 4-6 months to get here. The website is NOT user friendly and did not show what was in stock currently. You sort of just have to pick something and see if it says it’ll take 4-6 months or not. But we didn’t realize this until after. My husband tried to cancel the order the following day, on Sunday, but apparently they’re closed on Sundays. You have to cancel within 72 hours but it’s ridiculous that the day they’re closed would count against you. My husband called again after about 84 hours total. So he was late by half a day. They of course couldn’t cancel it and said that they would contact the store it’ll come from and they would have to cancel it. And my husband was told he would receive a call from the store to discuss. Well the whole week went by and he never got a call. Then yesterday he sees a non-refundable charge for $300 and it said it was a deposit to start working on the chair. First of all, why would the store need to cancel an order for a chair that doesn’t exist? If the chair is taking 4-6 months, that means it has to be built and quite literally does not exist yet. So what does this specific store have to do with the situation? They never even called us back. I also called the store twice and they just never answered. So we were expecting to cancel this order, we’re waiting on a call, JUST to get charged a fee for a chair we do not want. Our first baby is due next month on Christmas Day and we wanted a chair for the nursery. If we wait on this chair, our baby will be 3-5 months old by then. My husband had to call again today just to be told the same thing, the rep would tell the store to call us. We’ll see if that happens. My husband wanted to speak to someone higher up to cancel the $300 charge but those people don’t work on weekends. This whole situation has been a mess and it’s pretty ridiculous. We ended up having to drive all the way to a store in person today and we did buy a chair that will be delivered next week. I don’t understand how the website doesn’t give you an option to see what’s available right now to be shipped. It doesn’t make sense. I certainly hope we get a call to cancel this special order chair and to have the $300 charge removed.

I am reviewing the buying process. Im totally happy with the quality of customer service we received. I dropped by just to look at a recliner, I had specific requirements in the chair I was looking for. Chris Sondrol greeted me as I enter very politely. She listened to my needs and directed me to the recliners, I saw one that looked right, as I tried it out she casually asked questions about my needs, it felt more like she was getting to know me rather than pressuring. She explained the value, quality, and color options of the chair I was choosing. When I mentioned I wanted to bring my wife in to help with the decision she had no problem and again offered no pressure. She never tried to get my phone number or email, just a simple I look forward to helping you in the future. A few days later I returned with my wife. I should mention she hates shopping for big items because of the usual pressure to buy. On this visit we were greeted by Marcus Crans as I was showing my wife the chair. I mentioned I was looking for Chris, he mention she came in soon. He then backed off and said he would be available if we needed him. We decided to ask about the colors, delivery options and pricing. Marcus was as polite, efficient and interested in us as Chris was. Both sales associates are a credit to Laz Y Boy. Both played a part in our decision to purchase. Both were awesome! I visited on July 4, 2020 the Elk Grove store and had an appt. with Steven, and he was very patient with me in hearing my story and what needed since am rather obese, and was never pushy or a hard seller/sales person. I hated wearing the mask, but overall was a 4 or 4.5 star experience and was out the door having bought two mid priced recliners for my home in two different rooms. I was glad to know their products are made in America, and have a financing plan where if pay up by end of the year, will not be charged any interest rate. Everything thing has been frustrating during this time of Covid. I like to go in a store and be by myself and just wander around and look. When I have questions I ask. I was not allowed to go through the store without a sales person with me. She was very helpful in answering questions and handle the order very well but she’s no longer with you. I hope she wasn’t let go. Her name was Justine. I understand the long wait time cannot be helped because of Covid. About three weeks ago I was notified that it had been shipped and was on its way to Los Angeles. When I stopped in the store today to find out when it could be delivered I was told anytime. Very poor workmanship. Bought a special order power recliner (got to choose the fabric and padding, etc.). Three days after delivery, while the chair is reclining, a loud bang sound comes from under the chair. The foot recliner immediately drops down. A weld under the recliner broke. The repair tech who came out stated that this is a common issue (bad weld) and he doesnt know why they (La-Z-Boy) are not correcting the problem. Took two weeks to get the chair repaired - - no special shipping, just the slowest shipping rate was used to ship a small 18-inch part. You would think that La-Z-Boy would consider the customer when shipping a replacement part. Anyways, about four weeks after the repair, while reclining the chair, we hear another loud bang come from under the recliner. Now, the back reclining feature is broken. Neither my husband nor I are large or overweight people - - the workmanship is just very poor, the chair is a lemon. I have to give credit to the store staff and to the comfort care folks, they were excellent . . . but the workmanship . . . very, very poor. And this is a shame, as this product is made in the USA, sad to say. I expected more from a product made in the USA. In any case, I will pursue a refund - - they can have the lemon back.

We went to La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries yesterday to look for a new sofa. We were greeted by Serena Cantu at the door. Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, they were at capacity, so after a short wait, people shopping in the store left and we were able to come in. Serena was our salesperson, and very knowledgeable about the type of sofa that we were looking for. We were able to purchase the sofa, and also get the 25% discount applied as well. Got 2 leather couches and 2 end tables. Dont bother with the loss leaders couches. The nicer Leather Couches can come with memory foam included. The Kincaid end tables are solid and beautiful. I did not bite on the first trip there, but when the local mailer had a 20% off the whole store coupon, I had to pull the trigger. Make sure the price is right and keep an eye out for discounts before you buy.
