I arrived promptly for my appointment as scheduled. Soon thereafter X-rays were taken and a diagnosis was made.I was informed of what needed to be done (a deep cleaning) and after working out matters related to payment for services that would be rendered, the doctor completed my treatment. Overall I was treated in a very courteous manner and professional manner.

Rude Asian secretary want black people to whisper: so rude and nasty! Was recommended by an Afro American but office is Not African American doctors. RUDE RUDE RUDE especially to senior citizens. She wanted me to see the female dentist however I preferred the male dentist. She refused to allow me to make an appointment and created an argument that got ugly at that old fashion office with the new tile on the floor, GET REAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS where is your ethics of care?

I recently had a dental cleaning that was very rushed and took less than 15 minutes. There was no flossing, advice, or consultation, only instructions to turn my head and raise my hand if in pain. It was uncomfortable and unlike any of the hundreds of cleanings Ive had before. Additionally, the front office person, Quinn, was extremely short and rude when I had a question about the treatment plan. Im not one to complain, but come on guy, I thought they were in the service and helping people business.

I brought my grandma as a new patient and from the moment we dealt with reception the experience was poor. They were not very friendly or welcoming. The doctor was no friendly. Knowing my elderly grandma was having a hard time with her partial and that he had to give not so great news he could have been more tactful and friendly about it. Instead just gave his opinion, didnt really address my grandma or make her feel comfortable. It felt like this was all just geared to make a business transaction. We will not be coming back.

I went in for a filling in December. They tried to charge me out of pocket for gum number. I declined. The filling they put in came out four weeks later. Found out later that they claimed an extra service that I supposedly had from them the next day. Lies. The entire experience is shocking.

This review is for their front office and scheduling practices . I called - they scheduled me. I show up on that day, and whoopsies - they cannot find my appointment. I had to reschedule for another day (when I already had taken the day off). When I asked them to apologize or show any remorse, they said they had no recollection and thus would not apologize. The Dentist told me, it wasnt his fault! (ahem) Sir, is it not your staff? Do you not hire them? Then recently, they cancelled my appointment which has been scheduled more than 1+ week. BTW if you cancel an appointment they charge YOU - so its kinda a one way street here where they do not hold themselves accountable for mess-ups.Its honestly very stressful making an appointment as it hasnt been smooth 50% of the time; pretty high fail rate. Its the most disorganized front office Ive ever dealt with.If you can bear that in mind then everyone is nice as long as things are smooth sailing.

I’ve been a patient with Dr Michelle for a couple of years now. I have a pleasant experience every time. She takes the time and answers all of my questions.I got a crown procedure and had very minimal pain. So happy. No problems since.

I actually love going to the dentist! Dr. Michelle is the best and the staff is always kind and welcoming. Its comforting to know that no matter whats going on with my teeth and gums, I will be treated in a highly competent way by kind professionals. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is always on time, professional, courteous and friendly. The dentists are all so knowledgeable and willing to explain their diagnosis and plan, and my options for what to do now vs coming back for follow up, before starting anything. I cannot recommend them enough.

I go to this dentistry because it’s walking distance to my house but I just received the worst cleaning of my life. I don’t think she spent 15 minutes on my teeth. It was an evening appointment 5 pm and she just seemed to rush through everything and was in a hurry to get out of there. What’s the point of getting cleanings every 6 months if they’re just going to rinse your teeth with water. I’ll give this another shot but I would ask them to never give me that dental hygienist again. Seriously terrible and I don’t even feel like I got a cleaning and was scammed

Been going to Smile LA for for a few years and Dr. Kourosh is the man. I trust him and appreciate that hes articulate, friendly and thorough during examinations. The hygienist, assistants, and the office staff are also friendly and know their stuff. The text reminders about my appointment are super helpful. Parking underground in downtown is a major plus. Definitely looking forward to being a patient here for many years to come!

I have been coming to this dental office since I was a child. The practice has changed hands about 4 times over the years but I truly enjoy the atmosphere created by this newest dentist. The office has been remodeled and the supporting staff is very friendly! I get THE best cleanings.

This dentist scarred me for life. During the pandemic when I was at my lowest financially and mentally, I came in for tooth pain on one tooth and they put me on a treatment plan. Months later, they had overcharged me $2500 (more than half of what I paid) and put me through the most physically painful experience of my life getting a root canal after a deep cleaning. It’s been a year since my insurance was able to get my money back and I still haven’t seen another dentist because I’m too afraid of a repeat experience. My bite has never been right since and it’s affecting my jaw and neck muscles by having an uneven bite.I don’t understand how the reviews are so good. I’m sick to my stomach trying to find a new dentist with good reviews, but look at this place? Great reviews and they put me through all of that....

I selected this dentist through my HMO dental plan and scheduled an appointment to begin the dental work that I knew I needed. This dental office charged over $2200 for a deep cleaning for which I had to pay over $600 OOP. The dentist did not even clean my teeth, he only treated the gums. Additionally I needed a crown and the dentist was charging over $3000 for which I was being charged over $1700 OOP,; $695 of the fees was for an upgrade Zirconia. that was not covered by my insurance and should be optional for either a ceramic or porcelain crown. I was told by the dental office that they dont provide the options because its higher standard of care., which is a joke because the dentist did not even clean my teeth. Some higher standard of care. So for patients whose insurance dont cover the Zirconia, you will be on the hook to pay these exhorbatant fees. For those that have HMO plan and cannot afford the high OOP that this office charges this is not the dental office for you. This dental office is obviously contracted with my HMO insurance provider and knows what is and is not covered by the plan, therefore should provide the service that is covered by the plan (porcelain and ceramic)which is within the standard of care and works just as well as the Zirconia so called higher standard of care. My true rating for this office is 0 stars and two thumbs down.

After my appointment on November 1, 2022, I never received a follow up call. I called a week later and was told I’d be called back in 10-minutes. Another week went by and still no phone call. I call again on November 15, 2022,and was left waiting. I finally spoke with someone who told me that my insurance did not cover the dental plan. I called the insurance company and was told that I could receive one procedure. I now feel that this office did not want to work with me and decided to not contact me after the X-rays were done. Once I get the clearance from the insurance company, I will find another dentist office.Update: Feb. 06, 2023, I spoke with the Insurance Company and found out that this Dental Office did not even talk to anyone. My procedure just needed my doctor to okay the procedure as a medical necessity. After the dentist found out my medical history she became cold towards me. I believe that is why I was never contacted again. I have found a dental office that is happy to work with me. L.A.Smiles was horrible to me, took xrays and then just ignored me.

Had a great experience visiting this Dentist. The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. Ive had bad experiences at the dentist in the past and been afraid of needles since I was young. I needed a filling and had to find the best in the area. The prices were very reasonable and my insurance covered most of the costs! I was also treated to a teeth evaluation in which I decided to get my teeth cleaned. I would definitely recommend Smiles Dentistry to anyone that wants their teeth cared by professionals. 5/5 stars.

As soon as I walked in the office, staff was warm and welcoming. Checking in was easy and I didn’t have to wait long at all to be seen. The rooms were all clean and organized. I was going in for my yearly cleaning and an additional cosmetic consultation. The Dr. was very thorough in everything he did and after examining my mouth, he assured me that he could fix all the cosmetic problems that I was worried about. In total, I was only there for a little under an hour and walked out happy!

Contrary to most of my experiences at the dentist, my time with LA Smiles has been absolutely incredible. From the moment you walk in and are greeted, you know that you are in good hands. Anybody caring for you will tell you what they’re doing, and check with you to make sure you feel comfortable. Definitely was a nice change after some particularly bad service in the past. When I heard that this was the best dentist in LA, I VERY soon learned why after I made my first appointment. I can’t even imagine going anywhere else now, so do your teeth a favor, go here!

I came here for some general teeth cleaning last month. Scheduling with them was super easy and quick, no complications like I’ve had before with other dentists. I arrived on the date of the appointment and the staff greeted and I waited until I was called by the dentist to a room. After a couple minutes of waiting I had to switch to another room but it was no biggie, I liked the second one better lol. My teeth was then cleaned and the people taking care of me were warm and receptive to my questions. I had a great time and a great experience.As a plus this is also my roommate’s dentist and for months I would wake up to his loud teeth grinding at night. It was a problem. He had used night guards before but none were comfortable for him, however the night guard given by this dentist last week works like a miracle for him and me. No more teeth grinding and more sleep for me.

I’m a longtime patient at LA Smiles and have always found the staff and service to be patient centered and professional. The front office staff as well as back office staff show patience and concern whether it’s regarding financial matters or any procedures to be performed. There’s no such thing as “it hurts so good” but, two fillings took all of 10 mins and the anesthetic really didn’t hurt. LA Smiles is a winner in my book and if you don’t have insurance, you can purchase there at a seriously reasonable cost. Shout to Robin, Rosie and Geri and the rest of the crew!

Im actually from the UK and as you know LA has a wealth of dentists that do cosmetic surgery such as veneers etc. After much deliberation I ended going to LA smiles and the service and results were awesome. I have a fantastic set of veneers, plus super healthy teeth! Not only did I walk away with a smile, Ive only ever dreamed about, but they also cared enough about the overall condition of my teeth, putting me back to full health.... This place has gone from the best to the worst dentist practice in the area since the new owner took over. I was a patient when the old Dentist was running it and doing so in a proffessional, customer service based way. Today, it’s ran awfully. Here’s are my last few attempts of going to them:1. I scheduled my 80+yrs old mother in law to get her teeth done, thinking that my regular dentist would take care of her, the receptionist Robyn did not inform me that there was a new owner and therewith two new complete strangers that were the new dentists that were going to take care of her.I found this out AFTER my mother in law came back home and my husband paid them thousands of dollars cash as she did not have insurance. After her procedures, she was told to take a painkiller which she was allergic too, broke out with hives, had to visit the emergency room and when I called the office to express my disappointment in not being informed about the fact that the dentists that had earned my trust and money for years, was no longer there and about the pain killers and the traumatized elder family member of mine, they said they didn’t know and sorry to hear that. No check up, no apology and no remorse for essentially making thousands cash and scaring an elder from ever visiting a dentist again.2. I scheduled an appointment while pregnant with a visible belly, yet they didn’t remember to give me the protecting cape while doing x-rays so I had to ask for it.3. The dentist was talking to me while I was laying there with my mouth stretched wide open, so I couldn’t answer and concluded my nods or “oh oh” as nothing...then giving me an attitude when she was done and I told her it hurt, she said “why didn’t you tell me?”. Smh4. My new dentist where his exam xrays and file was done, wasn’t avaible and my son had two hurting cavities clearly visible and needed fillings asap. I was told to come at 2pm. At 2.20pm I was told that they needed xrays even though i had emailed the x rays from my new dentists office and when I made the appointment I clearly stated that I’m only interested in my sons cavaties being fixed. I’m not taking off time of work and his school to do another check up and to have to come back. Well this is exactly what happened. I’m never going back though.The receptionist Robyn has an attitude, her co worker always have to clean up after her harshness with a big smile and “thank you” and “sorry about that”. The new owners are young money hungry couple who just graduated UCLA and more concerned about the new lease on their Benzes outside than caring for us patients who were acquired thru the sale from the old owner.Disappointed and to the max.

A year ago I came here after chipping one of my front veneers. It was just before the Christmas holidays and I was getting ready to head back to Europe for two weeks. I was really worried about having half a tooth missing the whole time. Doctor managed to squeeze me in at the last minute. When I arrived at his office, I was greeted by very friendly staff, and Dr. Michelle herself even came out to say hello, which straight away put me at ease. As for the tooth repair, all I can say is she is an artist! Although its only temporary, and Im having to be really careful about biting with my front teeth, you cant even tell there was a chip. I got a quote for having the veneers replaced, and one of his staff members is currently working with me to see whether my insurance will cover some of the costs. LA SMILES DENTISTRY are out of network for my insurance, but I would still highly recommend them.

Its not easy choosing a dentist here in LA since there are so many and my mother is a dental assistant so I have a high standard when it comes to equipment etc. and I can say I was not disappointed!DDS Rahimi is very friendly and professional and all the staff as well. On October 2, 2015, arrived at 10:53 a.m. for a 11:15 a.m. appointment, was called in at 11:30 a.m. after patient that arrived after I and was called in before me. Went through the routine, painful X-Rays, Dentist exam/recommendations and then to another room. This is where the most uncomfortable, painful, and hurried experience(s) started, under sixty seconds, opposite side on one side was completed, new/very noisy equipment running in my mouth, she started another side, all along the noise, touching/painful to my gum, water squirting all over me. My anger stepped in, I jerked the bib from around my neck, shoved the bright lights from above me and stated that I am not happy with her. I walked out, went to the restroom, clean up/dry up and left. I have not received a call from the office. I informed my insurance to only pay for X-Rays. LA Smiles Dentistry made me frown. No more and I after notify have over 6 friends/relatives and their friends/relatives agreeing no more LA Smiles Dentistry.

Im a big chicken when it comes to needles. No re-phrase, I just have a phobia. Honestly I found this place in a whom because my parents once were patients, but under previous owners. Since coming here, I have to say for now, IM NOT GOING ANY PLACE ELSE! You would have to come here for yourself. I just know, Im a picky person, sometimes a little too judgemental. La Smiles has a patient for life. I would show you a picture of my pearly whites but my pic looks bad. But I love my teeth. I thought they were white, til I got a cleaning.
