After staying at numerous mediocre hotels during our travels along the coast, it was so refreshing to stay at a hotel that pays attention to the details. The room was clean and very comfortable and made us feel at home with normal size toiletries. The breakfast was hot and tasty, and plenty of room to relax and enjoy our meal. Staff was friendly and personable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wow - undoubtedly the very best LaQuinta I’ve ever stayed at. It is an incredibly clean and well kept property and the staff was so friendly. The room was spacious and had a private balcony. The entire property has modern and appealing decor and you can tell they take care of it. The rooftop pool and hot tub were fantastic, as was the fact they are dog friendly. Super close to downtown and it was our first time in San Luis Obispo — we definitely want to come back to explore and will 100% stay at this hotel again. LaQuinta has a good thing going with this location and other properties could learn a lot from them in many regards.

The staff at the La Quinta Inn was so helpful on all the aspects of our stay. The large lobby allowed our group ample space to meet. Rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best weve experiences.

Ive stayed at this location before and it was so nice we wanted to stay again. The rooms are a good size and they seem to be pretty well kept. It was a little humid in the room this time and we werent able to lower the temperature to try and get the air in the room circulating. One more thing that may need to be addressed is that the Jacuzzi seemed like it needed to be cleaned. Despite those things its a great stay and their site is very clean and comfortable.

Very disrespectful / dishonest front desk staff at check in, the man checking us in was ok but I was told they only had one room of my kind left so I had no choice but to take it. Upon going up to see the room, the bathroom door handle was broken, balcony door didn’t lock and was falling off the frame and there were giant holes in the bedsheets on both beds. This is where the lie came out. The maintenance guy told me they had a lot of other rooms of my kind available. They tried moving me to one across the hall that was dated and dirty upon entering, only had a small standing balcony (no room for chairs or table), I called right back down and asked for my original room back. Wake up calls did not work 2 out of the 3 nights which was disappointing. Breakfast was also extremely disappointing - pancakes, waffles, toast, bacon and juice were all I enjoyed. The eggs were watery and repulsive and the sausage was slimy.A special thank you to Raphael at the front desk and the head house keeper who allowed me to check out at 2pm so I had a safe place to stay while awaiting my Amtrak train! As a young girl traveling alone, this meant a lot to me!

Used to be a good place, stayed here many, many times. No more though. Mgmt has recently changed. Next door is a restaurant where the Sysco food truck delviers each morning at 5 am. so you are awakened each day while the truck spends 5 minutes beeping loudly while backing up. I told the front desk and they explained that the new mgmt is unwilling to put and end to it in a way that previous mgmt did not tolerate. Sad. Wont be back.

Walking distance from cal poly SLO. Breakfast is good. Room is spacious and clean. Amenities good. Staff is friendly and helpful.

First room was already occupied with another guest, second room had very loud AC as others have commented, 3rd room was occupied with a guest. 4th room downgrade and loud AC again.I was very uncomfortable being put in the position of twice opening rooms that had other guests.

Very poorly managed hotel:- $14 a night parking even though other SLO hotels have free parking- Shower takes 5-min to get any warm water- Our heater didnt work, but was so loud we had to turn off to sleep.- Poorly constructed building. Seems like they cut many corners- Slow elevator- Hallways filled with maid carts- Noisy rooms- No working TVs on treadmills- Some room lights didnt work- Restrooms on 1st floor are only open to staff- One of the 2 coffee urns on the ground floor was never refilled.

Was a little disappointed that the property advertises its own restaurant and room service. In actuality, the restaurant is next door and does not provide room service.We were on the top floor, room 410, which is as nice … at first. Turned on the fan and the noise was so loud it drowned out the TV. There was no way to sleep with that noise. We when downstairs and spoke with Jerman who seemed nice. He took off the parking fee ($15) and promised a room directly below (310) advising us they would not book 410 so that we’d have no one above us. He also said he would get us a bottle of wine to compensate and have maintenance place a fan and heater in our new room. We went to dinner, changed rooms only to find out room 310 had the same noise. They did not bring a fan and heater as promised and when we went downstairs to let them know … Jerman was gone for the night. The other guy who overheard the promises said he didn’t know. He said Jerman would be back the next day. Wow!I contacted Expedia who remedied the situation right away. Checking out the following day, Jerman recognized me and looked away. No bottle of wine, fans or heaters. I wouldn’t stay here ever again considering BOTH floors had noise issues.
