Placed order on Tuesday morning, took 2 full days for my order to even get processed. Paid for express shipping. Here it is 10:36pm and order is just now showing up for tracking. Order states should be at my house by 9pm Monday. What the heck, that’s not expedited shipping. That’s worse than regular mail. Keep in mind I reached out about my order 24hours prior to today, the big dummy told me my order was coming Fed-Ex so what changed for the USPS to become the carrier? I placed two orders 3 years ago or so. Both times after collecting my money I get an email 4-5 days later item on back order. Well after making my money and no contacting for at least 30-45 days both times I just flat out cancelled my order. I’m a forgiving guy or I must enjoy chaos be a here I am ordering from the clowns again. I have a strong suspicion this will be my last time. I’m already mentally prepared to not receive my refund for expedited shipping, I’m also prepared for no one there to even attempt to make things right. Oh well, I guess that’s why they already have a mediocre rating from other customers.

I get my uniform pants from these guys, as well as quite a few flashlights and boots. They are hands-down the best products you can get anywhere near this price point. I only shop LAPGs own brand for pants, theyre simply the best.

My 2nd order for the LAPG jeans. My 1st pair fits great. I have ordered 2 more pairs so I now will have all 3 shades of blue. They tend to run a little large so I had to order 34 waists. Which I haven’t been for over 20 years. Quality is very good for the price so I’m satisfied. Shipping is a little slow.

I am so impressed and pleased by the LAPG brand products. My favorites are the Atlas tactical cargo pants and the long sleeve polo shirts. I have always carried a lot of items in my pockets. However, I had bones removed from both thumbs last year, and the value of these pants skyrocketed because I could only use one hand, and the Atlas pants have 5 pockets accessible on each side! They are dressy enough for the office and allow foe a full complement of EDC gear: flashlights, multitool, knife, arc lighter, wallet, doggie poop bags... okay, three is a lot more, and the Atlas pants carry it all. Oh, I forgot to mention the quality is excellent. The LAPG brand polo shirts are well made and extremely comfortable. On top of carrying a tone of products, their customer service is nothing short of awesome.

The webstore is needs improvement. Now there are multiple products that require Minimum Purchase amount. You can find items that show 1 in stock but you cant buy it because you need to buy 2 of them. Also, the account order history page doesnt go past page 1.

First interceptor Bluetooth radio I received was defective and the rep I spoke to said they would send a new one out.Well they didnt, I had to wait over 1 month and message them to even get my refund back, well after they received it. So I ended up buying my replacement and just got it. Not only was it $70 higher, but they told me to leave it in the comments, and they would fix the price, which took another 3 weeks. And to top it off, my replacement is used.

This is my secound order with this LAPGFirst off was a light, which after I did a price match and was turned down saying that ebay was a third party seller, when the light was sold and shipped by Olight, then main company.Secound was some some para cord which I ordered on 12/15/23. It was finally ready to ship on the 18th, and I yet to receive the purchase. They use fed ex at a inflated cost to customer. Fed X is slower than slow.I agree with some the other reviews, Id look elsewhere for purchases.

Bought boots that were too big.. It costs $12 to send them back for the correct size! Ridiculous!Don’t buy from them if you aren’t sure about the correct size! Ive purchased a few items from LAPG. Shorts, shirts, pants, knee pads.. all good stuff. Fits well and is good quality material and craftsmanship.Then one day I bought a pair of Battle Rattle pants to try out. Instantly I realized these were the pants Ive been looking for a long time. Jeans arent for me. They sag when I get warm and it ruins the fit. Battle Rattle fit and feel so perfect all throughout the day (or night) and theyre about the same price. I could go on, I really cant say enough good things about them and highly suggest them to anyone.

Now, 9 days out, Im still waiting for 3 shirts I ordered on Aug 11, with 10 day shipping. FedEx shows them still in Memphis but scheduled for delivery today. Im in Louisiana so that wont happen. I have ordered from LAPG 3 or 4 times.First time, everything was fine.Second time, they sent me the wrong size item 3 times in a row. They kept sending item with correct size on outside packaging but wrong size inside. I never did get the right size item from them.Third time they send the wrong number of items. HORRIBLE Customer Service. My order took 12 days to ship and 13 to arrive. I live in the same state it shipped from. When i tried to get an update about my order both the online chat and email went unreplied. I get in these times things take longer to ship and i do not have an issue with that. My issue is with never receiving any update about my order; just wondering if it will ever arrive. Other companies at least have the courtesy to send me any email saying i am sorry for the delay we will get your order to you soon. I do not care how good the pants are i will never order again. I work in retail so i know just how far some good customer service can go.

This company’s customer service and shipping is on point, especially with the volumes of orders they receive. The point system is great, I find myself spending too much money because I keep getting massive points for discounts off gear I need. I’ve easily got $100 worth of points in the last two months and I used that for a ballistic plate and taco pouch for my battle belts. You can’t beat that. I can’t think of one other company with a program as good as that.

Contacted customer service as one pair of pants were mislabeled at manufacture.... Berlinda was able to look at my order, addressed the issue, sent me a return label, processed order for replacement. I mailed the pants back the next day; before I returned from the Post Office I had a message the replacement were on the way to me.Great customer service! Pricing is on point with everyone else. Products are slightly to moderately above others in terms of quality.On to shipping. They use FedEx. So if you want your stuff quick, buy it somewhere else. FedEx has got to be the worst shipping company they can use. It took 2 pairs of tactical pants 12 days to get to my address and yes, I live in the US. Postal Service would have been better than shipping it with the goons at FedEx. Find yourself a different shipper LA Police Gear. I wont be ordering anything else until you do.

I ordered two pants the same size, but one was shipped a size smaller and appears to have been used. The package came from San Diego, CA. The other package, which has the correct size, came from Middletown, DE. The return process is a big headache and I dont have the time or the patience for this screw-up. When I checked the tracking information on Fed Ex site, it showed that the package hadnt been picked up until 3 September. Hope their products are better than their shipping claims. Havent received my order yet so this rating is only based on my ordering experience. I made my order Friday a couple minutes after they reopened from lunch and picked 2 day shipping. I assumed it would get here over the weekend but apparently it wont arrive till Tuesday at 8pm. If I would have known that I would have saved a few bucks and not have selected 2 day shipping. Other than that ordering was easy and prices was great. They even changed my 10% discount code to 20% with the new promotion as advertised. The products LA Police Gear are great. However, the customer service lacks and shipping sucks. I placed an order on 11/21/2021 for two items, both items showed as being in stock. After not seeing any shipping updates online, I sent an email on 12/17/2021 inquiring about shipping status. Low and behold the first item shipped on 12/17/2021, the second item was now marked as backordered. I exchanged emails with LAPG CSR Rasheeda between 12/21 and 12/23 about the second item that was backordered. My final email instructions to Rasheeda were to cancel the second half of the order. I was out of town at the time and did not check on the refund and forgot about the order. Low and behold on 5/25/2022 I received a shipping notification stating the second half of the order has shipped. I have sent two emails to the LAPG customer service since this cancelled order shipped and not one has been answered. I am done dealing with LAPG!

LA Police Gear has been good in the past. I ordered a first aid kit on 04-03-21. I did least expensive shipping, at 7.99. I believe next one up, a more expedited shipping, was $1.00 more. I should have done that. I just checked the tracking number. Its somewhere in Missouri, with FedEx. I didnt know FedEx was operating the Turtle Express Shipping Company. There is no delivery date posted, as apparently, they have no idea when it will get to Connecticut from Missouri. Wish I knew this in the beginning, when I ordered. I have ordered many other things with base shipping, and have had better shipping service and delivery times. Not happy with this order. If it wasnt in transit, I would cancel.

Love the merchandise and enjoy being able to navigate the website easily but I don’t like the shipping price or the way the payments are set up. I had a coupon and was ready to spend some money on a ton of items but as always I’ll test them first, so I just bought some patches and the total stacked up quickly. With the coupon code it wasn’t too bad at all but for some reason I didn’t complete my transaction when I thought I did. Woke up in the morning to find that the coupon expired so big deal that’s my fault but I finished the presses and for 15 bucks of patches I am paying 14 bucks in shipping and tax? There are two positives to shopping with these people online. They often have rock bottom prices and they have things in stock that others dont have. Sometimes, thats enough. Unfortunately, in my case, it wasnt.I ordered three shirts from them along with a small flashlight to bump my order total to an amount to qualify for free shipping. All three of the shirts were a bit small, which is my fault. No harm or foul there. What was disappointing were the quality of the two LAPG brand shirts which turned into a wrinkled mess and looked significantly worse than the 5.11 shirt I also tried.However, the worst part of my experience with LAPG was shipping -- both to and from. The original order took a couple of days to fulfill and then finally showed up. In all fairness, some of the confusion on sending the order to me came from the poor tracking on the US Postal Service website. The return experience was equally frustrating. LAPG uses a Pitney Bowes return service that can charitably be described as slow. The shipment progress took over 2 weeks to get from central Texas to the Los Angeles area, then several more days for LAPG to process the return.In short, the experience isnt one Id be likely to repeat unless I was absolutely certain of an item that only they have in stock. Otherwise, Ill stick with the local public safety store, Amazon, or even Galls.

Had an absolutely horrible experience ordering from here. My husband purchased two pairs of pants that were the incorrect size. He supposedly ordered 32x30s, however received 30×32s. We went to return them and return shipping was $19. After reaching out to customer service we were told that the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and that my husband ordered the incorrect size which I highly doubt, as he is very thorough and cautious when ordering online. They also said that he has an account with them and to check on his order confirmation, which he does not recall creating with LA PG at all, so we never even received an order confirmation or order number or anything of the sort. Definitely never ordering from here again.

Placed an order on 06/24/17. One item was back-ordered 8-10 days. They responded after 3 weeks saying it would be in stock the following week. The order finally shipped at the beginning of September. Not only was one item missing (which is now back-ordered according to them, even though it wasnt months ago when I ordered), but they sent a completely different size and color from what I ordered. I sent it back and canceled the order. Imagine my surprise when 3 weeks later I get another charge on my credit card! They have now billed me twice, refuse to cancel the order (shipped it twice since then) and have not refunded me my original order that was returned weeks ago. I have tried contacting them however I am getting no response via email and their phones have been down for over a week due to upgrades. Completely unacceptable and I will be contacting my credit card company to do a charge back at this point. Never doing business with this nightmare of a company again.

However, they sent them to an entirely different state. I was late because when I noticed there mistake, I waited for them to arrive, however they never did. Now I have to go out and buy some pants for work plus I am a day behind schedule because of a mistake made by there company. Seemed like a good place to get some boots and at a cheaper price. I Bought the boots, but my account stated the order had been cancelled. No email, no call, nothing. I had to call the company the next week to inquire about the order. CS stated the boots were not available (which was never advertised on the website) and were on back order until April (again, nothing posted on the website and the company makes it so you can still place an order). I normally would not post anything in the negative about a law enforcement related store but I was extremely disappointed with the level of service I received from this particular store, PAPG, Ontario. I ordered 2 items directly from the store and was told it would only take a few days. 1 week later, I asked a coworker to stop by the store on her way home to check on my order. She was told by the same employee who sold me the items that my order was not available for pickup. The employee told her that they receive shipments every day. The following week I tried calling the store with negative results. Per the automated message, the store was unable to accept my call. 2 and one half weeks later, I drove out to the store to check on my order. The employee went to the back of the store and moments later came out with my order. She showed me the receipt which stated an employee made 3 attempts to call me and left 3 messages. Like the majority of the population, I do not answer calls I dont recognize and no messages were left. Furthermore, my items arrived 2 days after the date of purchase. Why did the employee tell my partner my order was not available for pickup? When exiting the store, I ran into a former coworker who stressed to me his disappointment in the store. He explained to me that he was there for the 3rd time checking on his order that they had messed up a 3rd time. As a consumer and a law enforcement officer, I am extremely disappointed with LAPG, the lack of customer service and the lack of effort made by the employee to keep me as a customer. I can not recommend this establishment to anyone!

Ive bought a lot of things from these folks and theyre great. There was one time that I ordered a patch in olive-drab and they sent black instead, but I was able to contact them by phone. I didnt have to wait, or get looped around like some others claim to have experienced. I was able to talk with someone and they apologized and gave me simple instructions for getting the right color patches. For some, that would be enough to give only 1 star, but I was happy with the service and understand that the company is run by people, who inherently make mistakes sometimes. You cant beat the prices and deals. Ive always received my orders in a very timely fashion.

Constantly have items shown as available on website at time of purchase, not shipped, because out of stock. Its hit or miss, wether your items will be shipped after purchase. My order disappeared into the ether. The FEDEX tracking went from Delivery Friday 10 am o 1PM to Pending as if the order were being processed. Its been a week. Even the USPS could have gotten it here by now. Now either LAPG didnt actually ship, which upsets me, or FEDEX has once again relied upon their network of contract deliver vendors, giving FEDEX cover should the delivery fail. Either way, Not Cool LAPG.

Very complicated their sizes. They are too large. Normally I am size 8.I have to re-order two times to find out my size was #4. Consequently I have to pay double shipping both ways. Beside the inseam is complicated. Because I liked the cargo pants model I have to order inseam 36 (too long) since they ran out of all sizes. Fabric of the pants are too tick for hot weather. Hours of operation to call are a few hours during the day.Thanks

I have been a lapolicegear customer for year now and never had any problems, until recently. I ordered several pairs of pants which took weeks to receive. That falls more to FedEx than lapolicegear.However, I referred one of my employees to lapolicegear. My employee opened the link that was sent, and placed an order. Neither of us received $25 off as advertised on the website for referrals. I have sent 3 separate emails, referencing the order numbers. The only response I have gotten was one automated response, saying lapolicegrear would respond within 3 days. Those 3 days are long past, and still nothing.I suppose lapolicegear is alright, as long as you never need customer service. From what I have saw there really is none.

Prices are generally good but shipping is expensive and takes forever. It doesnt cost $7 and a week to send a small/light package across the country, I ship things all the time. It costs $7 OR takes a week...not both. But theyre sales are good, coupon codes are generally available to offset the shipping charges and they have things and ship next day usually.

The pants I bought are ok. The break apart at the seams faster than I thought they would. Each time ordering these pants the shipping process was bad. I didnt get a notification saying they had been delivered to my p.o. box and they were delivered early. My post office was holding them over a week and there was no way I would have known they had arrived because the delivery date for the pants was next month.... their shipping process needs work.

That said, they have the worst customer service I have experienced from a company. Its so frustrating to need to ask them a question and it takes them a completely unreasonable amount of time to answer a question via their site, if they even answer you at all. The hold time to speak to someone on the phone is exceptionally long. I have tried to speak with a manager at the corporate office when picking up products from the warehouse but have been told no one is available. Its unfortunate, really. I work in a business where we average 300+ clients per person, yet we all figure out a way to keep a 5-10 minute response time for our clients. Not sure why they cant at least respond in 8 hours. Additionally, the products that are on their site tend to be back ordered, and the estimated arrival times are off by (literally) months - not days or weeks - so be prepared to wait and receive little to no communication from them. All that to say, they have the monopoly in SCV, so there is no where else to take your business up here.

Im about 77, and normally 215, pants are 36x36, fit well, shirts, normally have to buy large tall, and found large fit fine so far. The belt I was warned about, bought a 36 regardless, as Iv lost about 15 pounds, and found that I should have ordered the 38, which Im doing today, my son needed a belt anyway.

Horrible experience. So I was shopping for a rain jacket for work. I found one posted on this site with the description of an outer shell rain jacket. I also see a couple shirts that look like a good deal so add those to the shopping cart and place order. After a couple days I get an email that the products are on back order. So I wait. Weeks later I get an email that one of the shirts was discontinued. So I email customer service to just ship what they had in my order. They do (probably a 5 week span from placing my order to receiving shipment). I get the rain jacket and it is only a wind breaker labeled from the manufacturer as water resistant. I contact customer service and ask for them to pay return shipping since they mislabeled the product and I bought under false pretenses. After going back and forth a little, they agreed to email me a prepaid label by end of day. It never came. Wanting to be done with this poorly run retailer, I paid at my own expense. The only thing in the order I ended up keeping was a cheap poorly fitting $15 shirt which ended up costing me $30+, all things considered. One of the worst online shopping experienced Ive ever had. Well if they have your item in stock this place does get the item to you, however the fact that they sell back ordered stuff and list it like the item is available, kind of sucks. Also it takes them average of three business days to process an order on an item that they actually stock. Additionally, they use a two carrier shipping system, so once UPS gets your order in your city, they transfer it to the post office to get it to your door, which takes an extra day.Bottom line is this: Your order will take 7-10 days to arrive if it arrives at all. So if you need it forget about these guys. Very far from most mail-order places that I deal with, which process your order same day, and dont pinch pennies on shipping that ends up delaying your order. Get your shoot together LAPG.

I Have been using LA Police Gear (LAPGear) for years. As a certified law-enforcement officer in Florida I have had to self purchase equipment and clothing and LA police gear has been my go to online store. Later I deployed to Afghanistan both as active duty military and as a military contractor and once again LA police gear was my go to store for everything from polo shirts to tactical pants. I swear this place gets worse by the day. Back before their retail store it was fine, but now its a dumpster fire. I ordered an item for warehouse pickup. It showed in stock. On the third day after my order, I swung by the warehouse to pick it up. I was told it wasnt ready and should be this afternoon. They said they were backed up due to technical difficulties. I verified the item was in stock and I was told yes, its just not ready, but would be by the afternoon. Well its almost closing time...no update. I have called and their phone system isnt even online (it says call hours are 9 AM- 1 PM but thats not true. I called at 9:15 and it said they were closed, and same issue at 12:45). Also, forget about checking your order online. The order status link doesnt even work, and their live chat is always offline too. Its 2 PM local time to their warehouse and there is literally NO WAY to get a hold of them or check my order status.There was no offer to go get the item, or prepare my item or anything. If its in stock...literally go back there, grab it, and hand it to me! For that matter, Im shocked it takes FOUR DAYS to snag an item off the shelf and send it to the front desk. I find it incredibly difficult to believe they are THAT backed up. The treatment I got, however, was more of a tough luck approach. I ordered the same item from quartermaster a few weeks ago and got it in 5 days...through the mail. I guess I was wrong to assume warehouse pickup would be quick and easy since Im local.And forget about finding anything you need in the retail store, their stock is always woeful. Unless you want a LAPG t-shirt, dont count on what you want being available.I will happily order from Quartermaster, Galls, or any other retailer (online or in person) before going to LAPG from now on, even if it means spending a few more bucks.

Really a great store. It has to be hard in the age of Amazon to have a business that is primarily based on the web. The comparison are difficult. I like Ordering from LA Police gear and think that their LA Police Gear Branded merchandise is a really good value. I also like their close outs and their general merchandise is priced competitively. The worst purchase/order experience I have ever had. How is the company in business? I ordered an outter carrier vest on 09-18-17. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered some magazines from them on Feb 12 - 2016. They were listed as being in stock, but werent. They have been on back order ever since. After multiple calls to customer service they finally discovered that their Distributor, RSR, was not receiving their emails, so had no idea they were trying to contact them for product updates. It took them SIX weeks to figure this out. They are still having problems getting info or products from this distributor. They are closed weekends and are 1 hour away making for a 2 hour round trip if I want to recover my $5.Got lucky, had to go near this place 2 days later. I ordered some Altama boots on their website and I was sent an email stating that they were back ordered. 11 days later nobody from customer service would return an email with an update (in the middle of the COVID shutdown). Their phones were just set to recordings telling people to contact them via email. So at my wits end I called the Valencia retail store and spoke to the retail manager. She had the CEO of LAPG call me and personally attend to my issue. Im no big spender there, Im just a guy who spent like $60. The CEO personally handled my issue and got the boots shipped and I will have them in two days.Every retailer makes mistakes. LAPG ran a timed advertisement selling different products in a Countdown. I ordered a scope from them, completed the order and they then later contacted me to tell me they their website was advertising incorrect prices. But if I wanted the product that I would have to pay more than double the original price. This is a clear bait-and-switch tactic. Do NOT TRUST this company. My Daughter, who is 28, has seizures often. As we get older, and she gets bigger, it is getting more difficult to pick her up off the floor or move her after a seizure. This pad works great. Even alone, I can strap her into it and put her in a sitting position, and lift her to a chair, then use this pad to pick her up into a back pack position to get her to the car, or to the house or upstairs. They constantly have problems with their website, their prices tend to be a little higher in a lot of areas and their customer service seems a little overwhelmed (too little of a department for a company growing as fast as they are) but overall, they’re a decent company with a wide selection of the things a typical law enforcement professional would need... just watch for their sales and specials, which are fairly frequent and that will help bring cost down.
