La Paz Optometric is great! The staff there is amazing and you can tell they care about the patients and the business. Dr Sako was so nice and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable every step of the way. The office is state of the art and I had so many more test and procedures than at other places. I highly recommended this office!

Full CoVid safety protocols followed here. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors use state of the art equipment to really look at your eyes. They have an incredible selection of frames at reasonable prices. They also offer curbside pickup.Edit: downgrading to three stars. I called to make an appointment on one day. The very next day I received a text telling me that they needed a confirmation call / text from me to keep the appointment. Thats absolutely ridiculous and a massive waste of my time. Ill keep bringing my daughter here, but I will not waste my time as a patient myself.

This place is the cleanest and most professional office I have gone to. I’ve been coming here for years and I always feel so confortable and heard. The ladies in the front are always so sweet. Today I met Doctor Michael Lum and he is just the best. He is smart, honest, funny and explains things very thoroughly.

All those at the office were so incredibly nice including Dr Lum. This is the second year that I have gone and I will continue to go for the rest of my life. I would definitely recommend going there. The office is clean and the frames that they have are really nice and they have such a variety. Everybody there knew exactly what they were doing and were extremely helpful.

Ive been going to La Paz Optometric for two years, cannot recommend them enough.Dr. Truong has always been fantastic. Shes very thorough and patient, always happy to answer all my questions. Eric, one of the techs, is wonderful and friendly.Never feel like theyre upselling or over charging when I need new glasses and they try their best to work within the insurance maximums.Highly recommend!

I had to return after my initial appointment because the reading glasses they made for me 4 months prior werent quite right. I realized they were stronger than I wanted. They took a lot of time with me (both the doctor and technician) to get it right and explaining things along the way. I was very impressed. The other glasses (progressives) were fine from the get-go. I definitely recommend La Paz!Update: The reading glasses are now perfect!

The eye Dr I had is always kind and efficient! Dr Yamamoto & Jennifer was so patient & listened to my questions & was so kind . After 30 + yrs going there, the only reason I would leave this office is they require a 35 dollar eye test ( I don’t need every yr ) maybe every 3 yrs but every year is too much as I’m retired . My experience with the optician assistant and optometrist Micheal Lum were great. They were competent, friendly, patient, and truly cared about patient interactions. Front of house staff were cold at best, wouldnt answer calls or texts, and failed to provide a basic level of customer service. The frames I purchased here were up-priced significantly but because of insurance it was fine and I really love them. The selection of frames here is impressive but I dont suggest coming within 1 hr of closing as you may also feel rushed and not have all of your needs addressed. For instance, I didnt get a price breakdown and I had to come back to have my sunglasses taken for new lenses. PS they book appointments just to look at and pick up glasses, so I would stay away from walk-ins when possible. I dont know if it was because of my age but I did initially feel overlooked by the team.It took the team longer than they initially told me was the latest my glasses and sunglasses would come in (over 2 weeks). Upon checking in, I was ignored and put off for over a week. I finally went in person to complain and two days after that I found out that my expensive daily-use prescription sunglasses were lost. Finally, Nancy stepped in and managed contact with me about the issue. After they discovered that the lenses came in but frames were MIA, she lent me a pair of similar raybans and drove from another store to bring them. I was sad to discover the frames werent the color agreed upon with a previous optician, but was glad to have sunnies for an upcoming out of state trip. She said I could keep the new frames or get a new pair of my old frames. I chose the latter and was happy when she said theyd be in within two weeks with the color of frames I was expecting. In the meantime, Nancy found my old frames and I was able to pick them up after 3-4 weeks. She ended up surprising me with an extra pair of lenses (one rayban like my previous + one in the same exact color but no label) and put them in my old frames so I would have a backup. I nearly cried happy tears at her efforts to go above and beyond. She really saved the day in this situation and a very upset customer may turn into a lifetime one. Thank you for turning it around.

La Paz has the most up to date eye exam equipment, and wonderful optometrists. This year, there was a new test (to check for clogged oil glands inside the eye) that contributes to/causes dry eye, and I was a candidate for the radio frequency treatment they offer. Everyone is wonderful there, and they do have an excellent selection of eye wear too.

This place is SUPERB. I swear I have never had assistance with glasses ever in my life quite like this. The whole team really genuinely cares. The waiting area is HUGE. Comfy seats. They are extremely efficient. I picked up glasses that I had purchased from them. I showed off my extremely broken glasses, and without another second wasted, and without even having me ask, I was offered an attempt to fix them. I did not buy these broken glasses from this location and I was very transparent about that.My once broken glasses are fixed and I will never go to another location for my prescription needs.

My only constructive criticism is trying to get my itemized bill after my appt. My FSA provider requires it and every year I ask for it and am told it will be emailed to me. I never receive and it usually takes another 2 phone calls to finally get it. Its a very minor issue in the overall scheme of things but still frustrating that it requires so much effort for something so simple and should be a best practice. That is the only reason I withheld one star.

LaPaz Optometric is a wonderful practice, both for regular eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses, and also for more complex well eye visits. Ive had two eye related health issues in the last 18 months, and both times the team here was able to quickly fit me in, do a thorough exam, and leave me treatment and guidance that made me confident in the health of my eyes. Plus, everyone is so friendly, I dont ever have to sit around and wait, the equipment is very modern and confidence inspiring, and all three doctors Ive met are very knowledgeable, great with patients, and just plain nice people! Ive been coming here for a few years and have seen a bunch of the different doctors and they have all been fantastic. Not only is everyone super friendly and professional, but they have really incredible equipment that does a great job of diagnosing any potential issues. I also love how they are able to thoroughly examine your eyes using this equipment without having to dilate your pupils, thus requiring someone else to have to drive you. Highly, highly recommended. I now live about 90 minutes away from them but I still make the drive there to get my eyes checked just because of how good and reliable they are!

Thought the frames were goners but they made them functional again.The Nerolens glasses that were recommended to me have been a blessing for eye stress. I went for my annual exam and was reminded why I like La Paz Optometric Center so much. They were very thorough and comprehensive with their testing. I must have gone through five or six different exams (I lost track) plus the usual which is better, one or two testing. Im confident my eyes are in good shape.I was also very happy with the process of selecting a new set of glasses. The team was very helpful with finding me the type of frames I requested and making sure I order the options I need. I ordered scratch resistant progressive transitions. When I picked them up a week later they were perfect.I must also mention the time they put into preparing me for the visit. I complete all the forms online and chose 5 sets of frames to try...in advance. They texted with me to walk me through everything, including confirming the appointment the day before. The whole process felt very modern without reducing the extensive care I hoped to receive. Great job Team LPOC! Thank you!

Have been going here for over thirty years for both contact lenses and eyeglasses. i have always been impressed by the various doctors. in my most recent visit I received the most knowledgable, friendly and professional pre-doctor testing from Sara. She is a wonder. and a keeper.

Everyone was extremely helpful. The exam went smoothly and Dr. Sato was patient and thorough. Glasses that I chose were able to be made while I was looking around and I didn’t even need to come back! Great service!

I’ve been going to La Paz Optometric Center for several years now and was never disappointed. I usually see Dr Yamamoto which is a super nice Doc, attentive and never rushes you out but this time I had to come in short notice and he wasn’t available. I was very happy with Dr Leung as well!Erin, the optician, was extremely helpful showing me all my options and making it easy finding the perfect frame for my new glasses!Christina
