Fly Rides is the best E Bike shop I have ever been too. The staff is beyond friendly, professional, & timely. LA FLY RIDES is hands down the best E bike shop in Los Angeles! If you’re in the market looking for an high end top quality durable bicycle, this is the shop to go. I’ve purchased my Gazelle Ultimate T10+ High step 2022 in champion red and could not be any happier. With almost couple months of ownership and close to 10,000 miles these mid drive Bosch motors and batteries won’t fail you. These type of bikes are bulletproof, not only do you get what you paid for but also the excellent shop service and quality. They know their bikes here and you won’t regret your experience. Austen the shop manager explained everything from A to Z and was very nice, informative, and went well beyond his way to help me in every way possible. Also, Marvin the head mechanic always does an awesome job every time I take my bike in for maintenance he’s the best. Genuinely the most nicest down to earth guys, Thank you very much LA FLY RIDES you guys are awesome made this process very smooth and easy will definitely be back! Pleasure doing business with you.

My wife and I had a great experience at LA Fly Rides. Mike was very knowledgeable about all the specs on the bike we test rode. He was super patient with my wife even with her not knowing a lot about bikes. Hector knew everything on the mechanical and electrical components and Austen had some great suggestions for accessories. We love our new ebikes. Great shop I definitely recommend checking them out.

Coming from a dirtbiking background, I bought my first Ebike, a 2021 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 TM from Flyrides, back in April 2021. During that process, I spoke to a handful of reps there they were all very friendly and professional. I spoke to Austen in particular, several times and he was always friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer and discuss my onslaughts of questions about sizing, geometry, suspension, motors, battery life, etc etc lol. I loved my Cube but after about 6 months and a strange Chihuahua related incident, Flyrides helped me immensely, in upgrading me to a 2021 Specialized Turbo Kenevo Expert, at a steal of a deal, too! The Kenevo fits my riding style farrrr better and Im very happy and grateful they were able to help me make the switch. A friend of mine spoke to Austen as well and when he recently rode rode my Kenevo, he decided to pull the trigger and bought one from them too. Enter DUALING KENEVOS!! 🤘🤠... They have a great selection of bikes, a friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff and have gone above and beyond, in my opinion to make their customers happy. Now, stop reading this and go buy an Ebike (or 2) from FLYRIDES!

I purchased a new 2022 model Cube SH TM from the hollywood location. Love the bike.However the rear newmen hub went bad. Had it repaired by few bike shops. All they did was clean and regrease it.The crunching and skipping came back within a week. Its a bad pawl. I could see it.So, here is the complaint, after almost 7 months now of back and forth between victor and others who kept saying they were warrantying it, needed super details pictures of serials numbers, etc and the inside of the hub and pawls, etc. I was told by hector that the us newmen hub would be relocating to ventura california and that this is going to take a bit.A few more months went by, was actually told from the new guy at the calabasas store that a hub was on its way from cube!! SWEET!!!Welp, that was a lie and never happened. Another month went by, I decided to drop the rear wheel off since at this point I went out and bought some new DTSWISS wheels.Almost another month, no hub. I go back in and just pick up the wheel deciding it was over. The guy at the calabasas store in the end told me it was greased bad and to just reach out to newmen directly.So lie and lie and then boom. Nothing.Thanks.I have the emails chain that documents all of this if interested.Oh well.UPDATE ON 5/29/2024Noah from the Fly Rides San Diego location called me as this is where I originally posted the review only to get more exposure from possibly the owners.Long story short - Noah was absolutely a stand up guy. Refunded the cost of a hub straight to my paypal account. Look Im never a person to really complain but damn after spending 8k on a bike and then getting 7 months of nothing, I figured it was time to complain. Thanks so much Fly Rides for helping me out. Will buy from you all again!Case closed

Where do I start? This place is open so rarely I thought it was a money laundering business. Some dude, Mark, was not too helpful when I DID get a chance to visit when the store was open..Why do people need E-bikes anyways? People should peddle the old fashioned way. Plus regular bikes are wayyy cheaper..

LA Fly Rides is the best !I bought a Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 from Fly Rides a few weeks ago and what a great bike. The bike is great but the service is even greater, Austen was very helpful, honest and easy to talk to, absolutely no pressure to buy a bike. I will highly recommend LA Fly Rides if you are looking to buy an E-Bike, there knowledge and experience with E Bikes is far better than most bike shops.

Took a hosted tour of the Hollywood sign last week with LA Fly Rides. Scott, our awesome guide, got us up and down Mt. Lee without issues. We learned a lot of history during the ride. The eBikes are workhorses but I decided to get a workout, so I didnt use the bikes full potential. I highly recommend taking an LA Fly Rides eBike cruise to learn more about LA and check out great views.

Excellent buying experience from start to finish. The sales person, Austen, was extremely knowledgeable about the products and got me a bike that is perfect for me. No pressure and very laid back. They made sure that everything was adjusted just right before I left. They happily baby sat my 2 dogs while I test rode, twice.I cant imagine how my experience could have been any better.These guys are great.

Update: June 22, 2021:I bought my E-Mountain bike at LA Fly Rides back in December. I became obsessed with my bike and began riding every day. When I bought the bike, Austen helped me pick out the right one and helped me get financing so I could afford it. Hector then told me everything I needed to know about the bike. I live about 90 minutes away… so I figured I wouldn’t see these guys anytime soon.But then something happened to the motor of the bike (after owning it for about 5 months). I took it to a (different) shop (Not Flyrides) that was relatively close to my house (and is an authorized dealer / service center for my brand of bike).The other shop (not Flyrides) had my bike for almost 2 months while they tried to figure out what was wrong with it. They couldn’t figure it out, so they installed a new motor. I was hoping then it would be fixed and I could begin riding again.But that was not the case, and my bike was still broken with the motor not working.I then decided I should have brought it back to Flyrides (where I bought it from in the first place.) I reached out to Flyrides on a Saturday… they emailed me back the same day (on a Saturday, Thanks Marvin!!!!) and got me in 3 days later on Tuesday.It didn’t take Marvin very long to figure out what was wrong… it was not the motor… the other shop had cut a wire and once the wire was replaced (I think they also replaced the speed sensor, just to make sure everything was covered.) the bike then worked just like day one. I’m back on the hills baby!!!!Word of advice: If you want to buy an electric bike, go to Flyrides (in La or San Diego) and if something happens (stuff happens, you know) then just bring it back to them and they will fix it right up!!! They know the products they sell!Thanks Marvin! Thanks Austen! Thanks Hector! Thanks Flyrides.Also if you are thinking about getting an E-Bike get on their email list… They always have deals on different bikes and there are some good deals! I don’t read them much anymore, since I already got my bike :)First Review (Jan 2021):I bought a Bulls electric mountain bike from Austin. This guy new the product really well and helped me make the right choice and even gave me a free kickstand. I love my bike and these guys are awesome... Hector helped me when I picked up the bike and knew everything about it. He even helped me load it in my car. These electric mtn bikes are not cheap... But these guys had a good sale and Im really glad I bought the bike with them.

As a local cyclist and amateur area historian, the perfect thing to do when three friends came to visit was a self-guided tour of my favorite spots in Griffith Park and the Hollywood Hills.Scott and the Fly Bikes team were incredible from start to finish. I called ahead and made a reservation and Scott answered all my questions. When we showed up on a Sunday morning, Scott was ready for us and got us all suited up on some pretty trick front suspension mountain bikes with Bosch 250W electric motors. Extremely friendly and helpful the entire time.The bikes were great and we had everything we needed - helmets, water bottles, locks. We got 35 miles into a 4 hour half day rental, but that involved some hustle since we did three big climbs. My only niggle is that my three friends were given 500Wh batteries, and upon seeing mine die out faster than theirs, realizing I was set out with a 400Wh battery. Mine died after 3.5 hours while my friends with an extra 25% capacity made it all the way back to the shop.These bikes had four levels of assist - eco, tour, sport and turbo. The less assist you use, theoretically, the more battery range you can get.Eco - about makes up for the extra weight and rolling resistance of the bike - feels like a comparable effort to riding a road bike.Tour - allows you to ride at road bike speeds but one or two heart rate zones lower.Sport - kinda fun. Your feet are like a throttle and the bike does a lot of the work for you.Turbo - a bit ridiculous. Once the pedals start to move the bike takes off. It can accelerate you past your friends on a steep hill. Pure smiles.We went straight up Western/Western Canyon to the top of Mt. Hollywood, and descended Vista Del Valle to the Helipad and down to the neighborhood off Commonwealth. We snaked over to Crystal Springs and looped past Travel Town to Trash Truck Hill where we made a second ascent on Mt. Hollywood, this time from behind. After stopping at the Observatory, we went down past the Greek and took Vermont to Franklin. We scooted up Beachwood/Ledgewood/Deronda to the Hollywood sign, and then enjoyed three dirt trails on the way down to Lake Hollywood. From there we dropped though the dells out to Cahuenga and took Hollywood back to the shop.Cant wait until I get another opportunity to do this with more visitors.P.S. - its also a dedicated e-bike store and they have a huge selection of recreational and commuter e-bikes. Way out of my budget, but after this experience, I cant wait until I get my own.

Austen was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful without being a mansplainer! Having already done a lot of research, I listed the qualities in an ebike that I wanted and he gave me a recommendation. This was the 6th bike shop and the 4th bike I test rode. Being a 70 year old woman, I was either totally ignored or dealt with in unprofessional manner. Austen was prompt in responding to my emails and attentive and pleasant to deal with in person. I am now the proud owner of a Gazelle Ultimate T-10 and love it! I highly recommend this bike shop. The store front isn’t impressive but they mostly work out of the back.

My wife and I went to LA FlyRides after researching the best places in Los Angeles to buy new e-bikes. Immediately we knew we were in the right place. Every person we dealt with in the shop was friendly, knowledgeable and committed to helping us in the best way possible, without any pushy sales tactics or fuss. After speaking to them and trying several bikes we decided to go with the 2020 Specialized Turbo Levo Comps. We pre-ordered them, waited a couple of weeks and the entire time Jerit, one of the most genuine sales people we have ever dealt with, kept us updated on the status of the order. If your looking for the best Emtb shop in LA its Fly Rides. I know the guys there well and they always get my bike and parts fixed up quick and they never have issues. They also group rides every month that brings all tips of riders together. At this group rides you can even try out bikes from them. There is no better way to go up to the Hollywood sign than on an electric assist bike! I had never ridden an electric bike before so I was a little nervous now I cant wait to do it again! The Hollywood Sign tour is both interesting and fun! You will see a lot more than just the Hollywood sign. I highly recommend.

All three capable bike experts were instrumental in my purchase of an amazing Riese & Muller bike yesterday to celebrate my 66th birthday. Yes, old guys can still ride. I believe I left the shop with the same bike that Austen rides on a regular basis. Hector did a great job setting up the bike. He was very informative and had great patience to explain in detail the features of the bike. I would recommend anyone interested in buying an e-bike to give them a call and review their website. I found this place after a ride on the Chesboro trail in Calabasas. They are the absolute best! When I was still deciding what E-bike to buy, they let me test their various models until I found one that I loved. I ended up getting the 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo Carbon.While I was doing my research, LA Fly Rides by far has the best prices I could find both in any store and online. Mike was really nice and helpful. After a few weeks my bike ran into an issue which was covered by the warranty and once the part arrived, the lead mechanic Hector, was able to solve the problem quickly.This store is the best if you’re thinking of getting an E-bike or any bike. They offer the best prices and service I have seen!!

THE place to get your ebike.I’m over the moon over my pandemic-era ebike. It is now my favorite way to get around, get exercise, get green and get happy. After doing my online research, I went to my nearby bike shop in Pasadena – and watched the owner sell a bike to someone for $800 over MSRP. The shop also was full of people unmasked and socially distanced, but the sales guys did not care, just kept raking in money.I walked out – and made an appointment at LA Fly Rides. This shop is covid-careful, honest and makes the time to explain everything carefully, since you get your own appointment time. Austen the manager was awesome. I’ve found it’s also important to establish a service relationship with a bike shop. Hector the service manager is amazing, as is the technician Seth. Both took so much time to explain to me which parts of my bike wear down, how to care better for my bike, how to oil my chain, etc.Don’t bother going anyplace else.

Mike, Hector, and Austen made our e-bike purchases a great experience overall. E-biking is a new thing for me, but Ive ridden MTBs for going on thirty years, so I came in having researched as much as I could. Because of the weather we couldnt do a test ride, and could only ride around the lot. Nevertheless, the Orbea Wild and Rise that we ended up with are making us smile alot! The guys took their time with us, were very informative and gave us a basic fit before we left. Im a little bummed that some pedals and bottles werent thrown in with the bikes, but they were very heavily discounted so I kind of see their side of it! After two rides, I returned with questions, and a few adjustments and Austen took all the time I needed to help me. Just a chill bunch there at LA Fly Rides...and a nice buying experience. Go there and check em out...you wont be sorry!

2 bikes purchased so far from fly rides, one shipped to me and picked the other one up in LA. Dealt with Will in sales and Austin helped me when I arrived in LA to pick up. Initially spoke with Max and then Austin and both were very knowledgeable and informative without being pushy. Fly Rides had great customer service and response time. I simply filled out a short questionnaire online and received a phone call within an hour from Max, the companys COO. He quickly assessed the best bike options for what I wanted and set up a couple bikes to test ride at their Hollywood location. He also offered a loaner bike in case they needed to transfer a bike from another store so that I could still ride over the weekend. I ended up buying one of the bikes and am so pleased with the purchase and experience.

They have the best selection of bikes, a full team of bike mechanics, helpful sales team that made my purchase of my Bullz Evo E-Stream AM 4 mountain bike so easy over the phone, they called me when it came in and assembled it flawlessly. Best customer service I experienced from a bike shop! I recently purchased a Levo SL from there and it was all a wonderful experience. From the first call I made to inquire about the bike, I felt like they tried their best to accommodate my needs. When I went to pick up the bike, Hector was very helpful and friendly. He explained to me all I needed to know about the bike and took his time to set up my suspension. When I had a little problem with the bike, he took care of it in a very satisfying manner. LA Fly Rides folks were super patient and honest about foldable bikes. I wasn’t sure what color to get for a couple days but once I finally ordered I was able to pick up the bike within a few days of ordering! They even built it for me. The Tern foldable looks a little funky but it rides super smooth. Catch me riding along the Santa Monica beach weekday mornings to work. Picked-up my 22 Specialized Kenevo Comp without really testing it, brought it to my hometown for a 9.6 miles ride and had zero issues with it; actually [almost] the entire shopping, delivery, and set-up experience was awesome!-but there was one minor issue I was not happy about, the individual who helped me with the suspension set-up of my bike, asked me if: “ I had already paid Specialyzed for the bike”. We had so much fun doing it that I went back and bought a full suspension bike from them. I live in the hills and have used it every single day. Super knowledgeable and helpful. I recently bought a 2018 Haibike Xduro Fullseven S 9.0 from them along with some accessories. After I received the bike, I had it shipped to a local bike shop in Austin, TX for assembly. The bike showed up with a missing part (mount for front headlight, my guess is the shop lost it during assembly) and Fly Rides was quick to send a replacement, rush delivery. The other issue was their was an intense creaking sound coming from the motor/crank during the first ride. I took the bike to another local shop, and it turned out that a few motor mount bolts were loose (likely from manufacturer). This bike shop over tightened them causing one to snap in half during a tough trail ride and Fly Rides immediately paid for all the Services costs to get this done right by finally, a third bike shop here in Austin. Above all else, these things happen and Fly Rides made sure to do everything they could to ensure I got back on the road seamlessly and have been helpful through each unfortunate encounter. I will be sending friends their way and highly recommend them if you are looking to purchase an awesome f****ing eBike. Ask for Jerit.

This was such an amazing experience that I recommend to anyone who is an LA native like myself or just visiting!!! I live a few blocks from this location and found it on google on Memorial Day. My fiancé and I wanted to do a bike ride but not kill our selves too much but also not be lazy a rent an Uber around Hollywood. There are tons of options for half or full rental self guided or full guided tours. We just did the half day rental with the cruiser bikes and rode to brunch in Los Feliz, rode up to Griffith Park up to the observatory up the Greek theater side and cruised down the switchbacks rode the other way with an amazing view of LA, we then stopped at a cafe for a tea and good book, and then rode all the way down Hollywood Blvd to fairfax to the beginning of West Hollywood and back to the shop. Overall I can say we rode at least 6 or more miles and I’m not dead!!! I’m a bigger guy who’s 5’10” and 280lbs and this bike handles very well. Can’t ride up steep inclines so had to walk those on sweetzer going up to sunset but Griffith was all bike the whole way. The only downside was that the seat tended to be uncomfortable at times so if an upgrade option for seats could be an awesome add on that I would pay for. Also the gears were a bit touchy when going up hills shifting to lower gears to a point where the chain could fall off our get bent. The awesome guide Hector that set up our whole reservation treated us like first class service 110%. His knowledge of the bikes and if any need for help he’s there at a phone call. I couldn’t believe that there we rentals available today being a gorgeous Memorial Day for a ride around this awesome city of LOS ANGELES!!! We’re sadly moving to NYC but this concept I hope is out there too!!! Thinking hard bout even purchasing one while in NYC! THANKS HECTOR FOR EVERYTHING!!!

This is the most efficient and eco-friendly way to go up the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory within a couple of hours, while taking the scenic route and not have to worry about traffic or parking!!We wanted to squeeze in a lot in very short period of time so we opted to rent 2 e-bikes from LA Fly and went on a self-guided tour. Everything was better than expected. Bikes and helmets are in excellent condition. Super easy to use and made our day 100x awesomer!! Painless yet still getting some exercises in 😅 They have little pouches for locks, water and snacks as well as a cell phone holder so we can take pix/vid and keep track of Google Maps right in front of our bikes. The whole setup was just super practical!!Staff were all very amazing!!! Meghan and Scott helped us check in/out, offered us lots of tips and tricks, and gave us water, snacks and sunscreen before the ride! Thanks guys!! After I placed the following review, Fly Rides personally contacted me several times wanting to make genuine amends.I have been a bicycler for near 30 years and never had visited a bike shop so wanting to correct their error........................................................................I purchased a haibike xduro downhill and it had an assembly defect.The chain was installed way too short so that as the rear suspension compressed the chain pulled at the rear derailleur and tore it clean off the bike. The derailleur ended up getting caught in the cassette and locked up the rear wheel.Fly rides was less than enthusiastic in taking responsibility. I eventually had to call my credit card company and put a hold on the bike purchase untill they paid for the damages.I told them I was very concerned that they sold me the bike that way as I could have been seriously injured. Did not seem to care.

I bought a 2nd hand 2017 Haibike and wanted to have the software upgraded. I also asked them to give the bike a once over to see if I needed any other work. They spent some time checking the bike out and found nothing wrong but did not charge me for the time checking it out. Only the charge for the software upgrade. Its great to find an honest bike shop that knows E-Bikes. I have another E-Bike I built up myself and most Local Bike shops turn their noses up at E-bikes or wont work on one that they dont sell themselves. They said no problem.
