Called my cousin who owns a Computer repair shop and explained my situation. He recommended Konicom as the business he sends all hard drives to for recovery. His exact words were A little pricey, but worth the money and they will be upfront with you if they even have a chance of recovery.Process took about a week since they had to use a clean room and a new hard drive for parts long enough to get my data off the old drive.They saved 6 years of photos and videos, as this was my back up drive that failed.Thank you guys for all your efforts and hard work.

Ive been sending all my hard drives to Konicom for Data Recovery for quite some time now and Ive been very happy with their work each time. They were very successful in recovering the data off the drives I sent them. They have live people answering the phones and they always kept me updated with the recovery process. Thank you Roy. I had a surge related failure on a hard drive while on vacation. I am a CPA and the harddrive had the payroll history of the clients i was doing payroll for and had failed backing up for llike 6 months. Called on a Wednesday and had an employee drop it off along with a spare duplicate hard drive for parts as necessary. Roy quoted me a price and told me it would be a 2 day turnaround for a reasonable price. Then he mentioned emergency service which provided overnight service for a very reasonable add on. I picked up a harddrive with my recovered data 24 hours after it was delivered. No BS just good at what he does at about 1/3 of what i had been quoted by other companies in the past.

High quality service, high integrity, clear and thorough explanations to a non-techie, least expensive compared to the other companies from SF to Sacramento. The cost of data recovery from a hard drive began at $300 if the recovery was fairly simple. (How would I know if the recovery was fairly simple?!) However, within 2 hours, they had diagnosed the problem and told me the cost of recovering all of my data on my 1T external hard drive was $300. Although when I had brought my hard drive to them initially, they said the turnaround time would be 1-2 weeks without an accelerated pricing (24-48 hours), they ended up retrieving all of my data in 24 hours, without any extra charge. As a free service, they also loaded all of my data onto a new 1T external hard drive. I needed a new hard drive anyway, so I purchased an excellent name brand hard drive from them. Same cost as Best Buy. One stop service! They seem to know what they are doing, and they do not take advantage of a non-techie who does not know much about tech. :)

We had a critical server go down and recent backups failing. Our only choice was disc recovery. Every other place I encountered wanted to ship the drives to another state. This is the only place I found that would do it locally. This is also the only place that didnt take advantage of my timeline and desperation in terms of pricing. I cannot imagine taking a drive anywhere else for recovery, knowing what I know now.

Excellent Service. I got my data back within 3 days as committed. I lost my desktop hard drive with lots of personal stuff. It dint boot up, dint detect and clicking noise. I went to couple of service center and they couldnt do it and asked to send it to professional Tier 2 service for about $1000+. I found Konicom through Yelp and it had many good reviews. I went there and gave my hard drive. and got a quote and negotiated for $650 and on top of that I got my data back. They are the best in data recovery. I would recommend Konicom for data recovery at Sacramento area.

I never write reviews but I had to after coming to Konicom. I had a wonderful experience!! As a photographer I lost all my photos on my external hard drive. I was an emotional wreck and they did everything to comfort me and reassure me they will do everything they can to recover the data which they did. They do everything in house which is a big reason why I chose them unlike most data recovery places that are just drop off locations. They consistently updated me throughout the whole process. The process was timely and a stress-free experience. The owner was genuine and sympathetic and overall was a great experience!!

I had very professional and fast data recovery done with Konicom. They had good communication, and fast turn-around. I had an external G-Raid hard drive fail on me and after a local computer store was unable to recover any information, I mailed the drive to Konicom. Reliable, professional, skilled at data retrieval with state of the art equipment. These guys are so good that other IT companies use them. This is my second experience using Konicom. I had a RAID-5 array with 4 drives thinking I was safe from data loss. However, due to the unit overheating, I ended up having 2 of the 4 drives die at the same time. One died in a very, very bad way. The other was also dead, but to a much lesser degree. Regardless, I could no longer access any of my files.Disheartened, I took my drives to one data recovery service. They diagnosed my drives and gave me a very large estimate for fixing both drives mostly because one of them, the first one I described, was in such terrible condition. I couldnt really afford their price so I looked elsewhere.That brought me to Konicom. Not only were the people here super friendly and very up-front about how everything works, they have a policy where, if they cant recover any data, you dont pay any money. That already put me a little bit at ease with them.But add on top of that their level of expertise: they did the diagnosis and came up with the same results: 1 really badly damaged drive, 1 less damaged drive. But then they came up with a simple solution: since it was RAID-5, they knew they only needed to fix one drive and rebuild the 4th one using the RAID-5 architecture instead of actually fixing both damaged drives. They just fixed the less damage drive, which was much cheaper to get the data off of than the really damaged one.Thus, they were able to quote me a MUCH significantly lower price than the other company. And with the no data no payment policy, I felt really safe allowing them to go ahead and see if their plan would work.And it did. Then they gave me remote access to the recovered data so I could even browse it and make sure everything was actually there. Once I approved, they sent a drive to me with all my stuff, I copied all the data off onto my own drive, and sent their drive back to them. It was simple, easy, and I got everything back at a fraction of the price of the original estimate from the other company.Im super happy with the results. I do not plan on having any more data recovery issues in the future, but you never know... So if it does happen again, I know exactly who I am turning to to help me recover my stuff.Thanks, Konicom. First of all, I am not the type of person that likes to write reviews, even I love to read them by others. But this time, I want to do it so bad, just to show my appreciation to Konicom. I can not find any more words to describe my appreciation to the folks at Konicom. I had a WD Passport external hard drive quit working without any indication or warning last October. I have tons of personal pictures and also work documents on it. I first tried out Best Buy, they had to send it over to their Kentucky lab to check it out. Returned in within two weeks with a answer No. I then tried another local known chain store: Tech 2U, they took 30 minutes to examine it and turned around told me Sorry, we can not fix it. It is impossible. I still did not give up, tried an online data recovery company called Salvate Data Recovery based out New York. They did offer free pick up shipping and diagnose, within a week, told me that they could not fix the drive and it is irreversible damage. I was offered either discard it by them or pay $50 to have it shipped back to me. I opted the latter. I still want to try to get all files back. And I contacted another online called Fields Data Recovery. My actual nightmare started there. They were really quick on generating a pickup shipping label to get my drive shipped to their location. They asked me to pay $525 upfront to get the recovery start without any guarantee. I was in desperate situation of getting my data back. After the payment, everything turned, they either delay responding my email or finding this and that excuse for not being able to finish the recovery. It dragged for almost 3 months, YES, 3 months for them to finally to sending me some pictures of my drive (was taken couple of days after they received it.) and telling me that they could not recover my data. I was very angry and hold my temper to ask them to ship back my drive. They charged another $50 and took 2 weeks to ship it to me. As I just about totally gave up the drive, out of luck, I googled and found Konicom. Their 5 star reviews prompted me to give it another try without any expectation. I dropped off the drive Friday Sep. 1 at noon, they already called me couple of times for the updates by the end of that day. Tuesday, they told me that they could recover pretty much all the data with some sophisticated repair. I was pleasantly shocked and impressed. On Sep. 5th, I got my data back! Kudo to Konicom and its professional and experienced staff. I wish I had brought my drive to them in day one. Anyway, keep up the good work, and I cannot thank you guys enough for your excellent work!

If you need Data Recovery, there is not a better company out there. Brian and his entire team is honest, dedicated, experienced, fair priced, and very fast. There is truly nothing more you could ask for from any company, but ESPECIALLY from a company that you need as badly as Data Recovery. My hard drive in my laptop crashed and needing my computer for work, I needed a fast solution. After being told by Best Buy that they couldnt get my data and that they had to send out my laptop to a Level 2 technician, which would take up to 2 weeks, I went searching for another option. I woke up on a Saturday morning to find my 1TB external hard drive not responding to my network. I connected it to my Macbook and it would not mount. I started checking the web for potential fixes and tried a couple of my own, nothing software related, but mounted it in another external case hoping it was just the power supply on the old case, no dice.I took it to a local MAC/PC repair shop and they said give us 24 hours, they had a no data no cost guarantee, so I wasnt worried about cost, but was worried about what they may do the drive during attempts. They called me Monday and told me there was nothing they could do, but highly recommended Konicom and said they had no doubts they could recover it.I drove over to Konicom immediately and told them my issue, they had the no data, no cost guarantee as well, so I had nothing to lose trying them out. After a couple of hours, they called and told me they could probably get everything off the drive, but that it was going to be a level 2 recovery costing about $400.00 bucks. I used to DJ and I was looking at losing over 20,000 music files and 12,000 personal pictures, turned out to be 750GB of data, so $400.00 was veeeerrrry reasonable too me.They called me when the recovery was complete, let me come in and review what they had found and the even gave me some advice on how to set up my new external drive to help mitigate the chances of this happening again.I cannot say enough about how Konicoms skills have saved me a lot of what couldve been heartache and regret about losing a ton of music, memories, and other important data.The staff were friendly and knowledgable, these guys know their stuff and a recommend them whole heartedly, they will be my Go-To data recovery guys whenever I need them. I was on the brink of finishing a very important project for a major business corporation after working on it for nearly three months. With the deadline only a week away and my project nearly done, I went to the corporation to give a full report and promised to have the project delivered by the deadline. Later that day, I slipped and fell, dropping my computer on what appears to be an oil spill on the middle of the sidewalk in downtown, Sacramento. This little incident almost cost me my career. The computer no longer worked and it would make a weird tapping noise and the screen would say, Windows 7 does not recognize hard disk whenever the computer was turned on. I was not able to access any of my work. Out of the fear from the thought of losing my career, I called a few computer repair shops I found on Google and explained the problem to them. They said I would have to contact a Data Recovery specialist in order to recover the data off my hard drive. They referred me to a few places so I gave it a try. Turns out, the price of data recovery is extremely ridiculous. All the data recovery companies Ive called required me to ship my hard drive out to them, which would take days or even weeks, and it would cost me somewhere between $1500-$3000 to recover the data off my hard drive with no guarantee that they can actually recover it. I thought my career was going to be ruined at this point. Luckily, I found Konicom while I was making my way to Starbucks in downtown to relieve some stress. I noticed their sign that said Data Recovery, No Data No Charge so I made my way in there and decided to give them a try. The quickest, most reliable source in Sacramento! I have been trying to get data recovered from my MacBook hard drive for about a year dealing with best buy and fry was a complete and total waste of time and money! Our company has been using Konicom for a few years. Our introduction to them came through a failed hard drive, in which we had zero back up. An online search and few phone calls sent me in their direction.I was very pleased with the customer service and ability to recover our data. I recently had a drive fail with some bad sectors and it became unmountable on my Mac computer. I could see the drive, but it would not allow it mount to be accessible. A little freaked out, since this drive had all our pictures on it along with music and other files. Nothing I wanted to lose. I did a little research and came across Konicom as a solution. I brought the drive to them and within a couple days I had all my files back on a brand new drive I provided. Yay.Now, I get home and plug in my new drive and immediately have an issue with the brand drive, same issue as before. This time, since I was at home, I took a chance and plugged the drive into my PC. Viola, there are all my files accessible and ready to move to yet another new drive (glad I bought two). Now here is where my satisfaction took a big dip. I just paid $500 for Konicom to move the files from the old drive onto a new one, and I could have just taken the old drive and plugged it into my PC and done it myself. Which Im basically doing now since the new drive had issues as well.

I brought in my external hard drive that stop working which contained my kids pictures and the staff at Konicom were able to repair the hard drive and retrieve my entire collection in a couple of days. I am an IT Consultant from the Bay Area.One of my clients, who has a 3 HDD Raid 5 server, had 2 of the hard drives corrupt at the exact same time.We also found out the our online backup solution hasnt been backing up for 2 months.In a panic, I was recommended Konicom Inc.I brought my server in on a Thursday evening, told them what happened and they immediately started to diagnose the hard drives.They called me on Friday, giving me status that it was still scanning.They called me on Saturday, giving me status that the drives are being rebuilt.They called me on Sunday, giving me status that the virtual RAID has been rebuilt and they are now copying my data over.Now its Monday morning, Im at their office, and was successfully able to see all my data that they copied to a 1TB USB Drive for me.This was done so fast and so professional!Words cannot express how appreciative I am of their help. I searched online and called a few places when I couldnt read my flash drive. they were the only company that had a real live person pick up and assist me right away. they pitched, no data, no charge. so with nothing to lose, i drove to their office in midtown to see what they can do. the tech there was friendly and helpful. he was able to connect my drive to the workstation and retrieve the data from it while i waited. he got it done within 10mins. it was fantastic! he even made my drive readable and usable again! cant thank you enough! As a volunteer, I was taking pictures to document (prepare an album) for a school of homeless children when they rode a special train ride to go to North Pole to visit Santa.I took the memory card from the camera, inserted it in my computer, downloaded the pictures, placed the memory card in the camera and deleted the pictures.All is well but I did not SAVE the pictures in my computer. I was heartbroken. A friend indicated the pictures are still on my memory card if I could get someone to get them.I noted three data recovery companies in Sacramento area.I call each of them.Company A advertised it was 24/7 but the call went to voice mail. When I called the next day it said it had a drop site in Sacramento.Company B seemed to be less than caring and said it would take a couple of days.Company C Konicom on the telephone was informative. Said it could probably get the pictures assuming I did not use the memory card for other pictures, explained that it would probably take a day and if it could not get the pictures, it would not cost anything.I took the memory card and a spare.All the pictures were saved on the memory card, and the company also saved them on a CD.It did want it said it could do and did not make me feel like a dummy (which I am) for doing what I did.Sloughhouse Jack

I have been utilizing Konicom for all my computer repair needs for several years now and I am very happy with their service and prices. I am always amazed at how quickly the staff has been able to identify the problem, recommend what needs to done to correct the problem, and then effect the repairs. This service is legit.I walked in and asked for help after my 2 tb hard drive was submerged in water for more than SEVEN hours and they automatically gave me hope. I have been getting great service from Konicom.I used to use Citizen Speak as part of a suite of sites to help people write to their California legislators. But the Citizen Speak site broke down and no one fixed it. So Konicom built a new site for me to take the place of the Citizen Speak site. The new site looks very professional and it is very easy to use.Another part of the suite I use is Outlook. Outlook wasn’t forwarding messages automatically the way it should. In time I also was unable to create new accounts in Outlook. I spent hours on the phone with Microsoft tech support. But they did not find the cause of the problems.In two very short phone calls Konicom found and fixed the problems. I was on a quick trip from DC and got in a bind when my USB flash drive didnt work. I had a Dell Inspiron that refused to boot because of a dead HDD. I was directed to these guys from a friend. They not only took apart my poor laptop (which was a feat in itself), helped me replace the HDD with a new SSD. Upon further inspection, my HDD was dead, couldnt even be reformated to work. My macbooks hard drive crashed and so I took it to apple store in roseville ...they said I first need to recover data from core care sacramento which would cost $300 and 1week of time...and then after that they can fit 500gb new hard drive for $140...so total cost comes to $440...but then I just Google searched to see other data recovery center...and came across konicom...when I went there they gave me free quote of how much it would cost to recover data $120 and to 750gb it would cost $85 so total came to $205 which is less than 50% of what others are charging...their work is state of art and dont compromise on quality...I would recommend everyone to use their service and save money.
